This story reminded me that one of Ryan Phillippe’s exes is pregnant and that she’s due soon. It also made him seem like a decent guy, which sort-of makes me suspect that his publicist planted to story to make him look good. No matter, it was a decent thing to do. Now we’ll have to see if he steps up to the plate with child support payments. Anyway, according to In Touch, Ryan pretty much believes he’s the baby’s father and is acting as such, but it’s not like he’s going to skip doing a DNA test when its born. The mother is an aspiring actress named Alexis Knapp, and she got pregnant around the time her relationship with Ryan was ending in mid September. (After he cheated on her at his birthday party.) We first heard about Alexis’ pregnancy right before the Lincoln Lawyer came out in March, which made it seem to me like he was playing it for publicity despite the fact that the story made him look like the douche he is. So here’s the story, which he could still be playing for publicity.
Findnig out your ex girlfriend is pregnant when you have a new girlfriend can be a deal breaker, as was the case for Ryan Phillippe, Amanda Seyfried and his soon-to-be baby mama, Alexis Knapp. But since splitting with Amanda, Ryan seems ready to accept his ex’s pregnancy. “He still wants a DNA test, but they’re getting along,” says a pal. On June 5, Ryan, 36, surprised Alexis, 26, at her baby shower by having more than $5,000 worth of girts delivered. “He wasn’t invited, but heard about the shower and sent some amazing gifts, including a crib,” reveals the pal.

Well that was nice. Ryan is a good dad and he loves his two kids. It makes me wonder if his older kids with Reese, Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, are going to meet their new half-sibling. That’s got to burn Reese up. It’s one thing if your ex has a baby with a new girlfriend. That’s a typical scenario and one that can be explained to your kids without a lot of embarrassment. When your ex has a kid with a girlfriend he’s no longer with, it must be a lot harder to broach that subject. “Well this is your half-sister, but daddy and the baby’s mommy aren’t together anymore.” There’s something really sad about that for kids who have already gone through the divorce of their parents.

Ryan Phillippe’s rep scarmbled to do damage control after he told Page Six that he was moving to New York and quitting acting. His rep told Access Hollywood that he’s not retiring and that “he’s been talking about expanding his talents to producing and directing, but he has no plans to stop acting nor did he ever say that he was considering doing so.”
Odd since Page Six quoted Ryan as saying, “I’m going to spend a third of my year in New York… I think I’m going to end my acting career. I’m so introverted. I’m ready to be behind the scenes.”
To recap, Ryan Phillippe will continue acting so you can stop holding your breath in protest and you can stop telling your friends that The Way of the Gun was one of his greatest films. Even though it is.

Ryan Phillippe told Page Six that he’s tired of being under the microscope and the paparazzi culture that follows. That’s why he’s quitting acting and moving to New York. Sounds like a well through out plan.
“It’s so hard to go out in LA. I’m going to move,” he told us at La Bottega the other night. “I’m going to spend a third of my year in New York.” He said brokers have been showing him places in SoHo and, “I think I’m going to end my acting career. I’m so introverted. I’m ready to be behind the scenes. I’m 36, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years.”
He said he is also tired of being tabloid fodder, probably because of his eventful love life. “I’m a good guy,” he pleaded to us at the Cinema Society after-party for his film. “I’m not that guy you read about.”
That’s weird because I read he cheated on Reese Witherspoon with his co-star Abbie Cornish which did happen. Was I reading The Onion? Because I’m pretty good at detecting sarcasm, I thought. That line is doubly amazing since I saw The Lincoln Lawyer over the weekend and for anyone who’s seen it, you know what I’m talking about. He’s probably pulling a fast one on Page Six. Oh, you’re a crafty one, Mr. Phillippe.

He?s always had a melancholy disposition in the public eye, and it sounds like Ryan Phillippe is ready to give up his life in front of the camera.
The ?Antitrust? stud told press, ?I think I?m going to end my acting career. I?m so introverted. I?m ready to go behind the scenes.?
Phillippe also noted that he?s been working as an actor for quite some time. ?I?m 36 years old, but I?ve ben doing this for 20 years.?
Ryan says he?ll be moving out of Tinseltown soon as well. "It's so hard to go out in L.A. I'm going to move. I'm going to spend a third of my year in New York."

Ryan Phillippe gave an interview to the NY Post in which he said he’s going to move to New York for four months out of the year and that he’s thinking about ending his acting career. It sounded like a throwaway comment from someone fed up with the gossip press, but I hope he sticks to it. He recently put his home in Los Angeles up for sale and he may be looking to scale down his lifestyle. He’s probably hoping to score some fresh tail in New York under the radar.

This must mean that he dumped Amanda Seyfried for the last time and is trying to find a city where he can score random women without the gossip press picking up on it. If he talks himself out of the only career he’s ever known he may be successful at that. It sounds like he’s thinking of taking the Ben Affleck route to career re-generation and going into directing. I doubt he’ll be successful at it, but we’ll see.
Ryan also has all that drama with a pregnant ex girlfriend who must be due soon. She lives in L.A. and she’s an aspiring actress. By moving to NY Ryan won’t have to face his obligations head-on, and he also won’t be able to see his kids with Reese Witherspoon or his new baby as much. That’s ok, though, Ryan would rather have his freedom and try and uphold the facade that he’s a decent guy.

Ryan Phillipe and Amanda Seyfried hit up Amika Nightclub where Ryan got trashed and Amanda maybe slightly. Though she looks absolutely sober. If Ryan didn’t go home and stick it in her butt and then tell her to fix him a sandwich, he’s been going at this drinking thing all wrong.

Ryan Phillippe is currently in Europe promoting The Lincoln Lawyer, and it looks like he brought along his on-again new girlfriend, the lovely Amanda Seyfried. There are new photos of Amanda and Ryan out in Paris yesterday and now Ryan is in Berlin along with Matthew McConaughey. Both of these men are attractive to me although they’ll never be at Matt Damon or Leonardo DiCaprio levels. McCoaughey needs to gain ten pounds and Phillippe needs to shave that beard. He’s probably trying to fight that sweet baby face that will stay with him the rest of his days.
I think Seyfried is gorgeous, I found her kind of captivating in that glurge fest Dear John, (she looks like a cartoon character with that hair and those giant eyes) but we know she has piss poor taste in men. From most reports Ryan has been stringing her along, but maybe he’s ready to play it serious now that his ex wife has so spectacularly moved on. (Or not, depending on your perspective.)
You get the sense with Ryan that he’s never quite satisfied, that the one he has on the hook will never be as interesting as the random girl in the bar, that he tries to suppress it and then feels guilt when he finally strays, when that itch gets too persistent not to scratch. (I went on too long with that, I know.) Or maybe he really does love and respect Amanda and he’s ready to show it. I doubt it, he also brought Abbie Cornish to events with him and he was stepping out on her all over the place.
Compare how Amanda looks while she’s out with Ryan to how she looks while she’s alone. It’s probably not fair to judge though as the paparazzi probably aren’t hounding her as much in the shots where she looks happy.

Kicking off another day in the City of Lights, Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried were spotted leaving their hotel in Paris, France yesterday (April 3).
The ?Stop-Loss? stud and his ?Big Love? babe climbed into a chauffeured car and headed off- Ryan has been in town promoting his new film ?The Lincoln Lawyer.?
In a recent interview, Ryan confessed that he?s not been able to ditch his baby face, no matter what he tries.
"It's weird, I feel like a vampire. I do take care of myself, but I drink a fair bit and I still smoke, which I shouldn't. I've tried to age myself but it's not working,"

Yesterday, there was some back and forth between various media outlets regarding Ryan Phillippe?s baby daddy drama. People Magazine, official celebrity outlet, claims that Ryan knew Alexis Knapp was pregnant almost the whole time, while Us Weekly claims that Alexis sprang her second-trimester bump surprise on Ryan, second-hand, when she told his friends at a party. I don?t really know which version to believe - I would hope that it?s People?s version, what with Alexis telling Ryan from the beginning, but you never know in Hollywood. TMZ isn?t sure either - they?ve got different sources claiming two different things regarding the issue of prenatal financial support. According to Team Alexis, Ryan isn’t helping her out financially at all. According to Team Ryan, he?s been paying her expenses:
The woman who claims Ryan Phillippe is her soon-to-be baby daddy says Ryan is a pre-natal deadbeat dad because he hasn’t paid any of her expenses … but we’re told that’s just not the case.
Alexis Knapp says her baby — due in June — is definitely Ryan’s. For his part, Ryan says he’ll take a DNA test when the baby is born and if it’s his … he’ll step up and support the kid.
But sources connected to Alexis claim while she’s been incubating, she hasn’t received a dime from Ryan and she’s hurting financially because she’s unable to work.
But sources connected to Ryan tell us Alexis is lying — that Ryan has been paying Alexis’ expenses, despite the fact that he has no obligation to do so until a judge establishes paternity.
We’re also told Ryan is furious, because Alexis agreed that if Ryan paid to support her during her pregnancy, she wouldn’t go blabbing to the media — which Ryan’s people believe she has done.
As one source connected to Ryan put it, “File this under the category, ‘No good deed goes unpunished.??

Okay, the version I?m believing right now, at this very moment, is that Ryan knew about Alexis?s pregnancy from the beginning, and that he?s been paying her bills in an effort to keep her quiet. For whatever reason, Alexis decided to start leaking her story, and now Ryan is pissed off.
Also: In Touch Weekly (via Jezebel) claims that Ryan ?suggested? Alexis get an abortion when he first heard about it. Which? I mean, that?s one of the options, right? I would be surprised if one or both of them didn?t bring up abortion. ITW says Alexis ?refused?. Oh, and that Ryan didn?t tell Amanda Seyfried about his baby daddy drama, and now Amanda is ?torn apart? about whether she should stay with Ryan. Amanda, girl, ENOUGH. Walk away. You do not need this crap.
Oh, and Alexis has kind of a Megan Fox thing going on, right?

Yesterday (March 14) was a big day for Ryan Phillippe as news broke that he may be having a child with ex-lover Alexis Knapp.
But the ?Anti-Trust? actor wasn?t too keen on discussing the situation during his interview on ?Jimmy Kimmel Live? last night.
Phillippe declined to comment on his possible love child, and instead chose to focus the conversation on his kids with Reese Witherspoon- Ava (11) and Deacon (7).
While most girls her age have Bieber fever, Ava, Ryan stated, is more into the Beatles and Al Green.
Meanwhile, a source close to Knapp told press, "Ryan doesn't know if he is the dad. If he is, he will take full responsibility for the child."
