Putting his toned physique on full display, Shia Labeouf removed his shirt before going for a run near his home in Los Angeles on Wednesday (July 15).
With his hand still braced up, the “Transformers” hunk rocked out to his iPod as he got in a good exercise - working up a sweat as paparazzi followed along.
As for future projects for Mr LaBeouf, the latest rumors tell that he’s the front-runner to play Facebook gazillionaire Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network”.
To be based on Boston writer Ben Mezrich’s new book, “The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal,” which makes its way to bookstores Tuesday.

So says the National Enquirer, where the editor pulled together some old quotes from Megan and Shia talking about how they (separately) love the marijuana, and threw in some new quotes from an ?insider? saying that Shia and Megan ?joke about growing old together as an eccentric hippie couple.? I?ve actually never read too much about Shia being a current pothead, but he?s given recent interviews about his own naked, reefer-smoking hippie parents.

The co-stars of the summer blockbuster Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen play coy about whether they’re lovers in real life, but both admit they love the “high” life!
“Megan and Shia are very vocal about their pro-marijuana stance,” divulged an insider. “They’ve both indulged, and they’ve had many lively late-night conversations about how marijuana should be legalized.
“They also support hemp as an alternative energy source, and they joke about growing old together as an eccentric hippie couple.”
Foxy Megan confessed, “I can’t tell you how much I’ve been through because I will openly say that I smoke weed. People look at it like it’s this crazy, hippie thing to do. And it’s not. I hope they legalize it. And when they do, I’ll be the first person in line to buy my pack of joints.”
Shia has often talked about his unconventional upbringing, including father-son toke fests and a hemp-centric head shop owned by his mom.
“I grew up with a bunch of hippies, and marijuana was always around,” the stoner thesp revealed. “Pot was never looked at as a negative thing. I could smoke it on holidays with my parents, and we were all good. I like pot. I can put limits on it.”
Just don’t drive when tokin’ Shia - might cost you another finger!

See, I think Megan Fox talks about smoking pot because she thinks talking about it (or doing it) makes her edgy or cool. Shia actually strikes me as the genuine stoner. He reminds me of a bunch of guys I went to college with - the funny, cute guys who thought it would be hilarious to try to give the dog a contact high. Those guys. That must be why I like Shia - he seems so familiar to me. And perhaps I don?t care for Megan because she seems like a total pot poseur. Or is she a genuine stoner? It would certainly explain all the dumb stuff she says.

It?s no secret that Shia Labeouf thinks his mom is one hot, sexy bitch who he would marry if he could. Coincidentally, it?s no secret that Shia might be a bit screwed up. It all started when Shia told Playboy that his mother is ?probably the sexiest woman I know? She?s an ethereal angel. Nobody looks like that woman. If I could meet my mother and marry her, I would. I would be with my mother now, if she weren?t my mother, as sick as that sounds.? A few weeks ago, Shia also told Parade that he was probably so screwed up because he saw his pothead parents having sexw hen he was a kid.
Someone must have told Shia that these are not the kinds of comments that add to the mystique of a young Hollywood heartthrob - although, to be fair to Shia, those comments kind of made me want to bring him home and feed him. But I digress. Shia is now trying to roll those mother-lover comments back in a new Extra interview (quotes via Huffington Post):
Shia Labeouf defended comments he made about his mom and said he may be doing another ‘Indiana Jones’ movie in an interview with Extra’ that is airing Monday night. He also dished about the ‘Wall Street’ sequel in which he’ll costar with Michael Douglas.
In Playboy, LaBeouf says, “Probably the sexiest woman I know is my mother.” Now, he responds to the public’s reaction to this comments and says everyone misunderstood:
“It was Mother’s Day coming up and I don’t have any problems appearing crazy to make my mother smile, but she is the most beautiful woman on this planet and I love her. She’s fly as hell. I stand by that. My mom’s awesome….I think the sickness is also on the other end to be able to twist the words and make it as ridiculous as that. Clearly, I’m not having sex with my mother. It’s ridiculous.”
On another Indiana Jones film:
“I’m an actor for hire. I have no control in terms of that movie. Last I heard they’re making progress in terms of the story. I know Harrison [Ford] is fired up to get back in there as soon as possible and George [Lucas] and Steven [Spielberg] want to make another one…They’re making progress but nothing is definite about it. ”
On the Wall Street sequel:
“We’re deep in prep now. We start in August… It’s definitely going to be different. Just the financial landscape is very different. We’re talking about the crime of the century…It’s a crime. Blatant crime…In this financial climate, it’s very relevant.”

Clearly he?s not having sex with his mother? Okay, I get that we were all joking about it because he was talking about how sexy his mom is. But the fact remains that he was talking about how sexy his mom is. I?ll give the kid a break and say that he simply got too effusive in his description of how much he loves his mom.
On an added Shia note, he sat down with The Telegraph for a long interview recently. Alas, he didn?t talk about how sexy his mom is (he does call her ?very beautiful? though), but he did confirm something that I?ve been thinking for a while - that he financially supports both of his parents, and has for some time. Shia jokes during the interview that ?It?s like having two 50-year-old children.? He did confirm that his hand should be fully functional by August, and that he?s still in physical therapy. Regarding his hand injury, he says ?Adversity has a way of introducing a man to himself. That?s out of my mom?s mouth and it makes it easier to deal with things are way above you and way beyond you and way bigger than you.? He also takes responsibility for the accident and everything else, saying ?All of the things that have happened in my life have been self-propelled? I can?t blame anybody else or point a finger at anybody.? Wise words, Shia. I so want to believe that, at heart, he?s a good kid. Time will tell.

Seriously, there is just no escaping these bitches. You can’t run, you can’t hide… Megan Fox and Shia Labeouf will always find you. I don’t actually hate either one of them, though. I think they both have a tendency to act borderline retarded about 75% of the time, but really, who in Hollywood doesn’t? Besides, mouthy and crazy are way the hell better than boring. Anyway, the point is, Megan Fox and Shia Labeouf have both been winning me over a little bit against my will lately, and I seriously love me some giant fighting robots, but even I am getting kinda burned out on this Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen international press junket rampage. Just nine more days until the movie comes out… I think we can make it if we knuckle down with enough alcohol.

Either someone on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?s publicity team is really, really good, or Megan Fox and Shia Labeouf really are getting busy. This latest report from In Touch Weekly has a lot of the same information as the stories we covered last week - about how Shia?s ?persistence? was winning over Megan Fox. In Touch is now claiming that Megan and Brian Austin Green (cough David Silver) are totally dunzo, ?toast.? Now Megan seems all over Shia, of course, but it might just be a rebound fling. According to one of In Touch?s sources, however, Shia ?has always loved Megan.? Perhaps Megan reminds Shia of his beloved, sexy, ?ethereal angel? mother?
?Shia and Megan are hooking up,? confirms a friend of both actors. ?They liked each other a lot, and she finally gave in to him.?
According to her pal, Megan?s relationship with actor Brian Austin Green is now ?toast, history,? and she?s moved on to Shia, 23, whom she grew closer to on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
?They flirted on the set,? their costar Erin Naas tells In Touch. ?The chemistry was undeniable.?
?We?re attracted to each other, and I think you can see that in our scenes together,? Shia told Playboy. ?It?s very real and tangible. You can tell something exists.?
The pair has been spending more and more time together - and for Megan, the fling couldn?t come at a better time. She?s been trying to make her relationship with Brian work, but it was an uphill battle, with Megan calling off their engagement.
[When] Megan is with Shia, her problems disappear? And Shia, who has said in the past that a relationship wasn?t ?an option? for Megan and himself ?for a variety of reasons,? is now very happy about how things have changed between them.

Of course, I don?t Megan is anywhere near good enough for Shia. She seems like an extremely insecure, ignorant, vapid young woman with her comments about ?butch bull dykes? and destroying Middle America. I?m not saying Shia is some well-adjusted, totally wonderful kid. But I do think he?s cute, and I think he?s trying to be a good guy, a decent man. I just think that if Shia really does like Megan (or if he really loves her), he should be prepared for just how ridiculous she is.

Shia Labeouf is rather famous for being a bit dysfunctional. He seems like a sweet enough kid, but I think his parents might have done a number on him. In an interview with the June issue of Playboy, Shia told the magazine that his mother is ?the sexiest woman I know? She?s an ethereal angel. Nobody looks like that woman. If I could meet my mother and marry her, I would. I would be with my mother now, if she weren?t my mother, as sick as that sounds.? Shia grew up around his mother?s naked goddess circles, and also claimed that Mom (and her goddess circle friends) never even put on her clothes when he had friends over.
Now we?ve got more evidence that Shia?s mom did some long-lasting damage. Shia gave an interview to Parade (excerpts from Huffington Post) where he apparently said that his sense of humor comes from ? seeing my parents have sex, smoke weed, my mom being naked.? Yikes. I?m all for being natural and open with your children - but when your kids have vivid memories of their parents having sex, perhaps it?s time to stop hitting the bong.
Shia Labeouf, 23, is on the cover of the upcoming issue of Parade magazine. Inside Dotson Rader describes theTransformers actor as “foul-mouthed, resentful, funny, prickly, quick-witted, and charming — a package of contradictions.”
LaBeouf says the source of his humor is from “seeing my parents have sex, smoke weed, my mom being naked … [and] twisted R-rated humor.”
“The good actors are all screwed up. They’re all in pain. It’s a profession of bottom-feeders and heartbroken people.”
LaBeouf also says, describing what caused his split with China Brezner, whom he dated for three years.
“Maybe it was career pressure. … Maybe I chose work. Every man has those feelings of escape and survival. I know you shouldn’t be that way. I’m trying to understand it and find the answers. I don’t have them now. Why did the love of my life and I break up? … Man, I have no idea. What was that all about? I have no answers to anything. None. Why am I an alcoholic? I haven’t a damn clue! What is life about? I don’t know.”

The question that always has to be asked about Shia in particular is ?How much of this is his normal bullsh-t?? Shia gives a great interview, but I sometimes wonder about the stories of his childhood. When he was on the cover of Vanity Fair, back in 2007, he quite famously told many stories about his hard-knock life, many of which he later claimed to have exaggerated. Shia?s just the kind of guy who will never let the truth get in the way of a good story. And yet, I kind of believe this story that his humor comes from seeing his parents have sex. Something messed that boy up, that?s for sure.

The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen press machine is still railroading its way through the media, but for once it doesn’t involve Megan Fox babbling incessantly about her sexuality. Shia Labeouf is in the latest issue of “Parade” magazine and he gives a surprisingly candid interview to Dotson Rader, who describes LaBeouf as “foul-mouthed, resentful, funny, prickly, quick-witted, and charming?a package of contradictions.” The interview covers LaBeouf’s dirt-poor childhood, how he originally got into acting for the money, his insecurities and the fickle nature of fame.
On the accident last summer which injured his hand:
?Last July, I got in a car accident, and my truck flipped three times and landed on my hand,? he explains, raising his injured hand to show me. ?It was smashed so bad, it didn?t even look like a hand. See the knuckle of my middle finger, the phalanx?? He rubs the knuckle. ?There?s no bone left in there currently. And to fix this other finger, they took bone out of my hip. They?ll take out more bone to fix another finger.?
On performing as a clown with his street-vendor father:
?It was a hustle. We?d walk around the neighborhood in full clown regalia,? he recalls. ?My embarrassment factor didn?t exist. I had fun, because I knew that in the middle of a performance my parents couldn?t fight. So, for sure, every day, there had to be some peaceful time for us, or we weren?t going to make it through the week financially.
?I?m still doing the same hustle now,? he continues. ?The only change is that, instead of my dad selling hot dogs from the cart, it?s Steven Spielberg selling the hot dogs.?
On where he gets his sense of humour:
?My humor came from seeing my parents have sex, smoke weed, my mom being naked?just weird hippie stuff, twisted R-rated humor,? he says. ?I?d get up there in my OshKosh B?Gosh outfit and my bowl haircut. I was a little kid with a Lenny Bruce mouth. That was the act. But there?s no money in stand-up comedy, so I went into acting.?
On his recent breakup, his alcoholism, and moving forward:
?Maybe it was career pressure,? he answers. ?Maybe I chose work. Every man has those feelings of escape and survival. I know you shouldn?t be that way. I?m trying to understand it and find the answers. I don?t have them now. Like other 23-year-old guys, I?m normal and I?m fallible.?
?Why did the love of my life and I break up?? he asks, puzzled. ?Man, I have no idea. What was that all about? I have no answers to anything. None. Why am I an alcoholic? I haven?t a damn clue! What is life about? I don?t know.?
?What I do know is, I screw up, and I know that I?m working on myself to be a better person,? he says. ?So I have no apologies. The best I can do is learn from my mistakes and move forward. And that?s what I?m trying to do.?

What?s the conventional wisdom on Shia Labeouf these days? My thoughts are: very cute, very screwed up, but I really want to take care of him. Soothe him. Cook for him and let him tell me his stories. But Megan Fox has ruined it for me. Both Star and the National Enquirer are running stories this week about Megan and Shia?s undercover romance. She?s an unworthy bitch, right? Hrmph. He would be better off with me, but apparently, Megan and Shia have been into each other for a while - since the filing for the first Transformers movie.
For the Enquirer, the story revolves around Shia?s injuries from his car crash last year. His hand was damaged, but at least he wasn?t charged with that DUI. The accident seemed a wake-up call for Megan, who has started taking care of Shia, realizing how her feeling for him have grown. She even drove Shia to a recent doctor?s appointment. Of course, there?s the little matter of Megan?s on-again-off-again boyfriend/fiancee Brian Austin Green (David Silver!):

But they also have a source who describes Brian (David Silver!) as ?a stick-in-the-mud? compared to all of the fun, crazy, 20-something fun Shia and Megan are having. Right? Because David Silver is like 40 years old (he?ll be 36 next month, actually):

He?s an interesting kid, and he could do better. For Megan, though, Shia would totally be a step up. Even if he has personal problems, he?s still one of the most in-demand young actors working today. Just this week two huge projects were just announced, with Shia?s attachment already there: first, Shia signed on the lead in The Associate, with John Grisham?s blessing. Another day, another inane Megan Fox quote. This time she struck at my heart, though. She made a crack about chess! She said, ?I think it’s wonderful. I didn’t decide I’m gonna be an actress cause I wanna be respected for how I play chess.? Screw you, Megan. I was on the Chess Club, and there?s nothing wrong with being respected because you can forsake your queen and still checkmate that motherf-cker. But, of course, Megan thinks being respected for her ?acting ability? (cough cough boobs cough) is better than being respected for intelligence. Except… who says anyone really respects her? Just because some Maxim readers (readers = ?adolescent boys with dirt-lips who just look at the pictures?) think she?s hot, that doesn?t mean it has anything to do with ?respect?.
Megan Fox doesn’t mind that she’s viewed as a sex symbol.
“I think it’s wonderful. I didn’t decide I’m gonna be an actress cause I wanna be respected for how I play chess,” she tells Entertainment Tonight.
“Part of Hollywood is being perceived as attractive.”
The actress had to make out “all day” with costar Shia Labeouf while filming Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.
“Clearly, he enjoyed it!” says Fox.
When asked if Fox is a good kisser, Labeouf says: “Yeah, absolutely.?

The latest juicy Shia rumor-turned-actual-event is that epic bestselling novelist John Grisham loves Shia, and is thrilled that Shia will play the lead character in the film adaptation of The Associate. Grisham said, ?I think he’ll be wonderful! He’s a very talented actor, and he’s hot. He’s the hottest 22-year-old actor in America and I think he’ll do a wonderful job.” I haven?t read The Associate yet, and I?m a little disappointed with that. I don?t know how I missed it, I read every Grisham, they?re great for a free weekend. According to Amazon/Publishers Weekly, The Associate is about:

The character?s name is McAvoy? I guess it would be too much to actually hire James McAvoy then. Though I do think Shia is a talented actor, I find it weird that he keeps getting these parts written for older actors. Shia?s 22 years old - a recent law school graduate would be 25 years old, at least. It?s not even Shia?s actual age, it?s that he looks his age, or even younger. Oh, well. I?m sure he?ll do a good job, even though I?m not sure John Grisham knows that much about casting. He famously threw a fit when Denzel Washington was cast in The Pelican Brief. Whatever, Grisham.
