Getting into promotional mode, Lauren Conrad appeared at the Barnes & Noble on 86th and Lexington in New York City on Tuesday (October 5).
The 24-year-old looked adorable in a short white frock with lace hems as she posed for pictures before taking a seat to greet fans and sign copies of her two new books, Sugar and Spice and the Lauren Conrad Style Guide.
Embarking on the Stateside tour ahead of filming duties for her just-announced reality TV gig, Miss Conrad's complete schedule following today's stop is as follows:

Stepping out for her all-important press duties, Lauren Conrad paid a visit to "Live with Regis and Kelly" in NYC on Tuesday (October 5).
Looking cute in a green toned dress, the former "Hills" hottie was there to promote her new book Sugar and Spice.
As for her upcoming reality show, LC recently dished a few more details about the MTV program.
Answering a question as to whether her beau Kyle Howard wil be appearing, Miss Conrad said, "It's hard to say yet if he'll be on the show, certain aspects of my relationship I want to keep to myself, but it's not like I'm going to stop myself from talking about him."
Also telling that the series will be more true to life than her previous "Hills" efforts by not hiding her fame, Lauren said, "Then, PAs would hold back paparazzi so their shadows wouldn't get in the way, now if a mic gets in the shot, it's not a big deal."

Just days removed from announcing her plans to return to reality television, Lauren Conrad stepped out for The 8th Annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles, California on Friday night (October 1).
Upon making her way inside the Paramount Studios venue, the former "Hills" hottie joined up with gal pal Lauren Bosworth while partaking in the annual celebration of Tinseltown's youth.
Aside from enjoying the Hollywood nightlife, Miss Conrad recently gave up some of her precious time to be featured on NaturalHigh.tv to inspire youth to choose a natural high and reject drugs.
In a recorded video statement, LC tells, ?I think when you?re so involved with drugs you have such a lack of interest and you just don?t care about your future. It?s the same story over and over again, people don?t really learn from it. If it gets out there that you?re getting into bad things, that?s your career, that?s your future."
Getting her dad to contribute, Jim Conrad attributes his daughter's obsession with fashion as crucial in keeping her on the straight and narrow. He tells, ?Lauren always had a passion for fashion and design. It?s been so important to her."
Agreeing, Lauren adds, "With fashion it was just this is what I want, so this is what I am going to do. I just genuinely didn?t want to do them, never really had an interest (in drugs).?

She didn?t stay away from Reality TV for too long- Lauren Conrad is back with a new show coming to MTV.
The former ?Hills? starlet is keeping tight-lipped on the details, but has revealed that she?s taking things in a new direction.
During her interview with Ryan Seacrest today, LC explained, ?It?ll be something very different,? adding that filming will likely start next month.
Conrad continued, "I've always been open to doing reality again. Just under different circumstances. As long as you have a separation, then it works. You have your personal life and you have work life; when it's combined, it's difficult."

Always a favorite when it comes to magazine cover girls, Lauren Conrad is the focus of the October 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.
During her interview with Cosmo, the former MTV reality star chats about a number of topics ranging from staying successful post-Hills to her love life.
As for her ability to peddle clothes and make the bestseller list, the 24-year-old said, "I haven't been on TV for a while, but my fans have continued to be amazing. They support my clothes and come to book signings."
Changing subjects, Miss Conrad dished on her current romance with Kyle Howard - saying that she loves that she has something for herself.
LC explains, "I spent years putting my relationships on television - that didn't work out."

She?s done everything she can to distance herself from her ?Hills? background, but now Lauren Conrad has decided to give Reality TV another go.
The ?Laguna Beach? babe is getting her own television show and the best part is, the TV networks are all trying to get it.
Prior to her new gig, Lauren had said, "The only way I'd return to reality TV would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop."
And while there aren?t many details available, one thing?s for sure- LC?s new show will be devoid of the drama she dealt with in SoCal.

Making the most of her evening, Lauren Conrad was spotted hitting up the My Studio nightclub in West Hollywood last night (August 31).
The former ?Hills? babe looked unusually smiley as she gave a quick wave to fans and paparazzi before heading inside.
Earlier in the evening, LC enjoyed dinner at the Loteria restaurant with a few gal pals before tweeting about her plans and piled-high hairdo.

She?s already proven herself as a viable talent beyond the Reality TV realm, and Lauren Conrad says she?s just getting started.
The former ?Hills? babe is uber busy working on a new book series, an upscale fashion line, and perhaps even more television projects.
During a night out at TAO, Lauren told press, ?I?m writing up a pitch right now for my new series because I just finished my last one.?
She added, ?I?m starting a clothing line with one of my best friends, a contemporary line.? LC also hinted about a return to the small screen.

With her first stab at success in the fashion world going quite well, Lauren Conrad is adding on to her offscreen business endeavors with a second range of new duds.
Talking with People magazine over the weekend while hosting a party at TAO Beach in Las Vegas, the "Hills" hottie revealed that her new offerings will be a contemporary collection.
She tells, ?It?s a contemporary women?s line. Where Kohl?s is a lot of daywear, it?s a lot of basics. This will be more specialty basics, more of a boutique line. It will be at a higher price point. It will be very different.?
Still a ways off from launch, as the development is just getting underway, LC excitedly adds, ?It?s one thing to work with a huge retailer like Kohl?s and there is so much you get to do, but there is a little more of a thrill of doing it on your own. It?s a lot more work, it?s a lot more stressful, but it?s something I love doing so I?m really looking forward to it.?
