Here are some photos of Taylor Swift at the iHeartRadio event over the weekend, where she performed. The tube-top ensemble is Calvin Klein, by the way. She?s probably trying to look like it?s 1989 (ugh). I wish we had the new photos of Swifty taking Olivia Benson the Scottish Fold out for another walk, but we don?t have them! You can see them here. That?s going to be her new thing, her new album promotion. She?s going to walk around New York with her cats.
Anyway, about a week ago, Swifty did something nice for some select group of fans. She invited her fans into her home, she baked them cookies and let them hear her new album. According to E!, Swifty ?said they were allowed to share anything from their experience at the event, with the exception of the song titles and lyrics.? So, obviously, the fans kept their word. The fans have only dished on some of the gossip Swifty served up, like what it was like to date Harry Styles. I?ll admit, this shiz made me laugh.
They only dated for a few months in 2012, but Taylor Swift and Harry Styles quickly became one of the most talked about celebrity couples. Now, with the ?Shake It Off? singer releasing her first new album since the breakup, the exes? relationship has made its way back into the spotlight.
Last weekend, Taylor invited a group of her fans to hang out at her Los Angeles home, where she fed them pizza and hosted a listening party of her upcoming record 1989, which isn?t due out until Oct. 27. During the super-exclusive event, the 24-year-old described the inspiration behind each song, and told attendees they could share details about anything from their experience except song titles and lyrics.
Well, while opening up to her biggest supporters, Taylor apparently spilled some details about what it was like dating the famous boybander. One attendee recalls, ?She described it like trying to build a fire out of two twigs and everyone is yelling at the fire, ?I hate your fire,? and blowing out the sparks.?

LMAO. Amazing metaphor, Swifty!! That?s such a middle-school way of describing it. But it?s also totally Swifty ? she and Harry burned so brightly, you know. They were fiery and misunderstood but everyone hated their fire and tried to destroy their beautiful fire and that?s why they broke up. Except they really broke up because Swifty was playing games and Harry was over it so he dumped her while they were on vacation.

People Magazine has released their Best Dressed List for 2014, and OMG is it bland. Really, ridiculously bland. Taylor Swift is this year?s best dressed lady. YES, that Taylor Swift. To be honest, I think Swifty?s style has greatly improved over the past year, especially since she moved to New York and she?s been doing the millennial Sex & the City thing, with lots of leggy photo-ops in short skirts and good shoes. She?s moved away from J.Mendel princess frocks in pastel colors for EVERY appearance, but let?s not pretend that ?most improved? is the same as ?best dressed.?
When the Style team gathered to choose the Best Dressed Star of the Year, one name kept coming up: Taylor Swift. She seems to have truly hit her style stride in the past 12 months, nailing every off-duty and red carpet look, whether it’s sweet separates or dazzling designer gowns like this Gucci Premire design at the Grammys. And we’re not the only ones giving fashion props to the singer; model BFF Karlie Kloss tells PEOPLE, “She’s got great style. I need to take some notes from her!”

Back in June, Taylor Swift announced that she had gotten her second cat, another Scottish fold kitty. Her first Scottish fold, Meredith Grey, is a few years old and as we know, Swifty totally owns the ?cat lady? stereotype. She named her new kitten Olivia Benson (after the Law & Order: SVU character) and Swifty immediately posted some adorable kitty photos on her Instagram.
So, with that in mind, here?s teenager (in cat years) Olivia Benson, out and about in NYC with Swifty yesterday. You know what these photos remind me of? Poor Mercy Kardashian, rest in peace. Back in 2012, when Kanye West and Kim Kardashian first got together for real, Kanye bought a small, fluffy white kitty for Kim. Kim named her ?Mercy? after Kanye?s single at the time. Kim wandered around Miami carrying poor Mercy and Mercy looked like she was scared to death most of the time. The photo-ops ended quickly and we found out later that Kim gave the cat away, claiming an ?allergy.? And poor Mercy died when she was only 4 months old.
Anyway, sorry to recap the whole Mercy Kardashian saga, but I still don?t understand why anyone carries around their cat in a busy city. While Olivia looks well-behaved (she poses for pap photos just like her mama), you still have a loose cat that you?re walking around with in Manhattan. Still? Olivia is one adorable kitteh.

Here is Taylor Swift ditching her more conservative pencil skirt and matching top in favour of a more risqu ensemble come nightfall in New York City.
She put on a leggy display in tiny high-waisted black and white shorts, paired with a black crop top that showed off her taut midriff.
Taylor tweeted earlier in the day: ?Can someone please invent an app that tells me where I can get the food that I smell in the air? #newyork?
Meanwhile, she is gearing up for the release of her upcoming fifth studio album, 1989, scheduled for release in October.

As we?ve been discussing all week, Taylor Swift covers the new issue of Rolling Stone. The interview has been providing entertainment and eye-rolls for all of the blogs and entertainment media outlets and it?s one of the best Swifty interviews in a while. The piece is also really, really long. And as it turns out, it could have been even longer because Taylor literally would not shut up and she kept providing Rolling Stone with more quotes than they could fit into one standard-issue interview. So RS published an addendum with some of the quotes that didn?t fit in the cover story ? you can read the piece here. Some highlights:
When she started drinking, she would cry listening to Joni Mitchell: “When I first started drinking ? when I was like 21 ? I used to cry about Joni Mitchell all the time after a few glasses of wine,” Swift says. “All my friends would know, once I started crying about Joni Mitchell, it was time for me to go to bed.”
What she did with one walk-in closet in her $20 million Tribeca apartment: “Now it’s my greeting-card writing room!”
Her idea of fun: Swift’s idea of a big Saturday night is watching Titanic at home with her cats.
She?s fine with Selena Gomez: “People think they have my relationships all mapped out. There were all these blogs, like, ‘Are they feuding? Are they fighting?’ Meanwhile Selena and I would be on the phone that night, laughing about it. We let them have that one.”
Her classic look: “I like a more classic look. I always go back to Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. Red lipstick and a winged eyeliner ? I think that looks nice.”
Her gift-giving: “The amount of baked goods and needlepoints I’ve gotten from Taylor cannot be counted,” reports Jack Antonoff. She’s baked him multiple batches of cookies (including pumpkin and oatmeal raisin), and she’s made Lena Dunham a button collage and a cross-stitch of a cat. She was also the first person to give the couple a housewarming present when they moved into their new apartment. It was a taxidermied moth.
She thinks she?s good at breaking up with people: “Once you’ve established that someone doesn’t belong in your life, I don’t understand what more there is to talk about. I walk away from things when they’re bad. I don’t stick around to watch them burn to the ground.” She says when she decides a relationship has “become toxic,” “I’ll just check out. Stop communication. I don’t want to scream and yell at someone and give them the opportunity to say I’m crazy, or that I went psycho. No one will ever be able to say I went psycho on them.”
She’s never been in love: “Looking back? Not real love. Not the kind that lasts. I think that’s still ahead of me ? which is really exciting.”

Again, there?s tons more in that article that I couldn?t even get to because it?s just SO MUCH SWIFTY. Here?s what I enjoyed: the image of a drunk Swifty crying about Joni Mitchell, the image of Swifty needle-pointing cat-themed pieces for Lena Dunham, the image of Swifty deciding to just convert a walk-in closet into a room dedicated to writing thank-you notes. All of that is really sweet/funny/cute.
Here?s what I didn?t enjoy: the fact that Swifty is still so full of it when it comes to anything romantic. By my count, she?s only broken up with ONE guy in her life and that was Conor Kennedy, the high school kid that she used to check out of school so they could have sex in quaint New England bed-and-breakfast inns in between antiquing. The rest of her boyfriends have dumped her, usually over the phone. ?No one will ever be able to say I went psycho on them.? Jake Gyllenhaal would beg to differ, since she stalked him at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscar party and cornered him by the bathrooms. I?m guessing Harry Styles would have some similar stories too.

As we discussed yesterday, in her Rolling Stone interview, Taylor Swift gifted us with a blind item about a music industry Mean Girl. Given the specifications of the blind, I thought it was someone like Demi Lovato or Rihanna, but most people thought it was Katy Perry and those people were probably right. Shortly after Swifty?s RS interview dropped, Katy tweeted this:

Taylor Swift covers the new issue of Rolling Stone. The cover photo is by Theo Wenner. It?s a nice shot ? very un-Swifty, actually. It feels like a throwback and it?s sexier than the usual Swifty photoshoot. RS has already published the cover story online ? go here to read. It?s a whole lotta Swifty, and she?s maturing. Sort of. She?s paranoid and she doesn?t talk about boys or cats the whole time (but she does talk about cats, no worries) and she has a major frenemy within the music industry. I love a good Swifty blind item! Here are some highlights/random moments from the story:
Privacy: “There’s someone whose entire job it is to figure out things that I don’t want the world to see. They look at your career, they look at what you prioritize, and they try to figure out what would be the most revealing or hurtful. Like, I don’t take my clothes off in pictures or anything ? I’m very private about that. So it scares me how valuable it would be to get a video of me changing. It’s sad to have to look for cameras in dressing rooms and bathrooms. I don’t walk around naked with my windows open, because there’s a value on that.”
Her single life in NYC: “I really like my life right now. I have friends around me all the time. I’ve started painting more. I’ve been working out a lot. I’ve started to really take pride in being strong. I love the album I made. I love that I moved to New York. So in terms of being happy, I’ve never been closer to that.”
She?s obsessed with ?Girls? & Lena Dunham: “I could label all my girlfriends as Shoshannas, Jessas, Marnies or Hannahs,” she says. And which would she be? “I’ve thought about this a lot,” she says. A pause. “I’m Shoshanna.”
Her iPhone: It?s ?white and silver and covered in kitten stickers.?
She hasn?t dated anyone since Harry Styles: “Like, have not gone on a date. People are going to feel sorry for me when you write that. But it’s true? Seventy percent of the time, when a guy asks me out, it’ll just be a random e-mail.?
Her love life is not a joke: “I feel like watching my dating life has become a bit of a national pastime. And I’m just not comfortable providing that kind of entertainment anymore. I don’t like seeing slide shows of guys I’ve apparently dated. I don’t like giving comedians the opportunity to make jokes about me at awards shows. I don’t like it when headlines read ‘Careful, Bro, She’ll Write a Song About You,’ because it trivializes my work. And most of all, I don’t like how all these factors add up to build the pressure so high in a new relationship that it gets snuffed out before it even has a chance to start. And so, I just don’t date.”
She wrote a song, ?Bad Blood,? about a female artist: “For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not. She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’” Then last year, the other star crossed a line. “She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational ? you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”
But of course, there are two songs about Harry Styles as well: There’s “I Wish You Would,” about an ex who bought a house two blocks from hers (whom she implies was Styles). And “All You Had to Do Was Stay,” about a guy who was never willing to commit (ditto). Then there’s the song that sets a new high-water mark for Swiftian faux secrecy ? a sexy Miami Vice-sounding throwback about a guy with slicked-back hair and a white T-shirt and a girl in a tight little skirt that is called ? no joke ? “Style.” (She allows herself a satisfied grin. “We should have just called it ‘I’m Not Even Sorry.’”)

So she hates that people make fun of her for writing blind-item slam songs about her exes because that ?trivializes? the music, so she wrote two songs about Harry Styles (WHY?!) and one song about a Mean Girl. And she gives some good hints about the Mean Girl too. Who do you think? At first, I was like ?Oh, it?s Demi Lovato,? but the ?arena? part of the clue is interesting. This is someone who plays arenas. This is someone major. Maybe Rihanna? I could totally see Rihanna Mean Girl-ing Tay-Tay just for the hell of it. Some people think it’s Katy Perry. I don’t know…
Also ? the song about ?an ex who bought a house two blocks from hers??? Is she being an idiot there? Because she did that exact thing to Conor Kennedy. She literally bought the house across the street from the Kennedy Compound while they were dating a few years ago (when he was a junior in high school!!!). Oh, and I remember the Harry Styles stuff ? after Styles dumped her on New Year?s Day 2013, Taylor spent the next few months stalking him and flying to London and looking at real estate close to where he lives. She is crazy.
