Jessica Simpson covers the February issue of Redbook. I?m still not in love with the way Redbook designed their cover, but I have to admit, Jessica?s cover shoot isn?t bad at all. They did several closeups of her pretty face, and the wider shots where you can see her figure don?t look overly Photoshopped. It?s nice. You can see the Redbook slideshow here. As for the interview? well, Jessica is basically just promoting her body and her relationship with Eric Johnson. Apparently, Jessica thinks Eric is ?one of the hottest men Ive ever seen.? Seriously, she said that. About Eric.
On what it felt like when the press attacked her weight:
?I never listen to it, no matter who the press talks about when theyre pregnant. Its ridiculous and unfair. I think any woman who is pregnant and creating a life is pretty much entitled to eat whatever she wants as long as shes healthy. I wasnt going to let the media take away from what was one of the happiest times in my life.?
On what will keep her upcoming marriage to Eric Johnson healthy in the long run?
?Ive learned that sometimes love is not enough. You can have a soul mate and be madly in love with that person, but its not necessarily enough. I think you have to have personalities that mesh well. You have to be the yin to their yang. You also have to be open to figuring things out together and communicating even when its the last thing you want to do. I have to admit, it doesnt hurt that Eric is one of the hottest men Ive ever seen and he looks amazing naked!?
On the infamous high-waisted blue jeans:
?What?s so unbelievable is that I was probably at least 15 pounds smaller than I am right now. What?s more unbelievable is that the press could create something like that out of a pair of jeans?what woman wants to be brought down for wearing a pair of jeans??
On why she’s so together
?I?m very in control of who I am. I?ve always been that girl who is driven and determined. I?m sure that has something to do with all the responsibility I had when I was very young. I was essentially supporting my family from when I was 14.?

Let?s take it point by point.
*Was the criticism about Jessica?s weight while she pregnant unfair and uncomfortable? Yes, it was. I said so at the time. I was very put off by how negative people were towards her during her first pregnancy. That being said, she put herself out there. No one forced her to become a spokesperson for Weight Watchers.
*Eric looks amazing naked? Er. Ew. I do not want to think about it. I?ll just say this ? I bet he?s well-endowed. And he seems like a chill guy. Maybe that?s enough.
*The high-waisted jeans: we?ve talked about those chili cook-off photos so, so much already. Jessica?s right that it wasn?t so much that she had gained weight, but that the jeans were just really unflattering. That being said, she had gained some weight and many people just kind of noted that without mocking her or anything. They were just like, ?Oh, Jess has gained a few pounds.? And Jessica freaked out.
*Do you buy that Jessica is ?driven? and ?in control?? I do not. I think she?s probably a better manager than we give her credit for, but I think she is, at heart, a girl who would rather be farting around in a pair of sweatpants at home. No disrespect. I am that girl as well. It’s one of the reasons I still defend Jess.

Making a chic arrival as always, Jessica Simpson was spotted strutting her stuff through JFK airport in New York City on Monday (January 6).
The "Fashion Star" mentor looked fabulous in a faux fur poncho, leather leggings and classic black heels as she trekked through the terminal with a smile on her face.
In other news, Jessica has been keeping busy with her family life and her ongoing endorsement deal with Weight Watchers, and it looks like she isn't slowing down!
Taking to her Twitter page yesterday, the blonde bombshell wrote, "I?ll be chatting LIVE on @WeightWatchers Google+ page this coming Tuesday at 12:30 est! Hope to see you there!"

Jessica Simpson posted this photo over the weekend ? it was her makeup-less date night. I?ll buy that she wasn?t wearing much makeup, but we need to have a conversation about her lips. I looked through her Twitter photos, and I?m now convinced that Jessica is doing the Nicole Kidman-esque lip injections. And they look horrible! Jessica always had full-ish lips, so I don?t get why she needs to give herself duck lips. Anyway, Jessica has a lengthy new interview with USA Today where she?s basically declaring victory in The Great Weight War. Smart ? she wraps this up with an infomercial about Weight Watchers (thus, fulfilling her contract), but I get the feeling that she?s pretty much over all things WW. Some highlights from the piece:
She was “constantly hungry” with her first pregnancy: ?With Maxwell, I vegged out and laid around. I knew I didn’t have to watch what I was eating for the first time in my life. I kind of let loose, and I gained a lot.? Simpson says she lost more than 50 pounds on Weight Watchers after Maxwell was born. She’s 5-foot-3. Weight Watchers tells members that a healthy weight range for a person of her height is 113 to 141 pounds. When she got pregnant for a second time, Simpson says she gained “what a normal pregnant woman would gain. I did put on a good amount with Ace,” but she won’t give the exact number.
During the second pregnancy: She kept exercising, working with her personal trainer three times a week and going on “walks with Eric, my almost-husband. I tried to get 8,000 to 10,000 steps a day. I wasn’t trying to lose weight. I didn’t mind gaining weight.” When the doctor gave her the OK after Ace was born, Simpson says, “I jumped back on Weight Watchers.”
After Ace, she began WW?s new Simple Start plan: It?s a two-week program that doesn’t require people to count points. It provides a shopping list and menu of options for meals and snacks, as well as splurges such as a glass of wine or serving of ice cream. The plan is based on studies that indicate that weight loss during the first month of dieting is very predictive of both short- and long-term weight-loss success, says Gary Foster, co-chief scientific officer for Weight Watchers. “I saw the results really quickly,” Simpson says, and then she went back to the PointsPlus program.
She doesn?t really cook though: As far as preparing the family meals, Simpson says she has “somebody who comes in and helps out. I do want to make sure I stick with the right recipes, and obviously my schedule is a little jampacked.” She describes herself as “an OK cook. I’m not one of the best. Eric is really good at chopping vegetables. I’m not good at chopping.”
Exercise: One day recently, she walked 18,000 steps. “With both kids, I’m running up and down my stairs a million times. Kids can keep your metabolism going. Eric and I go on walks together. I try and walk about 4 miles a day consistently. It makes me feel better.” Exercise helps her “with all the hormones I have to deal with. Working out and being active overall makes me a happier person to be around. I let out so much more anxiety if I go out and walk and talk to Eric, who is basically my therapist on our walks.” She is also working with personal trainer Harley Pasternak four days a week for 45 minutes. “It’s a lot of resistance training, lots of lunges and squats. There are bursts of cardio throughout the workout as well.”
Dealing with criticism about her weight: Simpson is on a mission “to be the best version of myself and to feel great. I want to be a great mom and a great example to my kids?.People are going to talk about this no matter what. I might as well choose to live a healthy lifestyle. It does get old having people harping on how much you weigh or your body after pregnancy. I need to feel comfortable in my own skin. People are going to pick me apart no matter what I do. I’m always going to have critics out there who will make a story out of something.”

She also says that she?s planning her wedding and looking at sketches for the dress ? God knows when it?s going to go down. I kind of hoped she would do something low-key, perhaps a destination wedding, but I really have no idea these days. She?s also asked about whether she would get knocked up again, and she says: “I can’t even think about being pregnant again right now? but I would never say never.” Lord. She?s going to get knocked up again, I can feel it.

Gearing up for the holiday season, Jessica Simpson was out and about with her brood in New York City on Friday (December 6).
Joined by fianc Eric Johnson and kiddos Maxwell and Ace, the ?Come On Over? singer looked stylish in a black Doors t-shirt and floral print jacket as she hopped into a shuttle van.
In a new interview, Simpson shared that motherhood has really helped her to feel empowered as a woman.
?I now look at all moms as superheroes. We are incredible, powerful women. I want to teach [Maxwell] to value herself, listen to herself and tune out the world. I want her to know her value, rather than spending her energy fighting negative voices from within.?

Here are some new photos of Jessica & Ashlee Simpson making an appearance at Dillard’s in NorthPark Mall, in Dallas. Photographers also got some shots of Eric Johnson with little Maxwell Drew, who looks pouty and perturbed. To his credit, even though I think Eric is pretty much a total K-Fed, I?m consistently impressed by the fact that Eric seems like a very hands-on father. He seems very comfortable with his kids and you can tell that he spends a lot of time with them. It?s sweet. I wonder if Eric was in charge of her rooster tail?
As for Jessica? she?s definitely been keeping a lower profile lately, although she has been doing some promotional stuff for Weight Watchers. Trying to fulfill her contract, trying to convince us all that she?s back on track. Last week, she posted a blurry, out of focus image of herself (allegedly) in a white swimsuit ? you can see it here. Go and come back and look at these photos. Same person? Not really. I?m not shading her ? she had two pregnancies, one right after the other, and it?s perfectly fine and normal for her to not have ?snapped back?. But this Weight Watchers thing is just such an albatross for her, isn?t it?
Next, here are some photos of Eric with little Ace Knute at LAX ahead of the trip to Dallas. We?ve really only seen Ace once before, in Jessica?s Us Weekly cover shoot. I don?t want to oversell these photos or anything, but these might be my favorite baby photos of all time. *mic drop*

Shutting up all of her critics, the ever-smiling Jessica Simpson posted a picture of herself to Twitter on Friday night (November 8) featuring her post-baby body.
Sexy in a white button down, blue jeans and brown high-top shoes, the 33-year-old posted the pic as another ad for her Weight Watchers training.
The former pop singer wrote a tweet alongside the snapshot, saying, "Couldn't stop smiling on set for my new @weightwatchers campaign today! #happy."
Taking heavy fire for her body figure after giving birth to her children, Jessica gave birth to her son Ace four months ago, and also has an 18-month-old daughter named Maxwell.

Here is Jessica Simpson popping out of her low-cut dress last week on a triple date with sister Ashlee Simpson and BFF Cacee Cobb and their beaus in LA.
Jessica, who gave birth to son Ace at the end of June, showed off her curvy figure while out to eat with fianc Eric Johnson, her sister Ashlee, Ashlee’s boyfriend Evan Ross, her friend CaCee Cobb (also a new mom to son Rocco), and CaCee’s husband actor Donald Faison. The couples dined at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Los Angeles on Thursday night and there wasn’t a costume in sight.
