Kim Kardashian was not in NYC all of last week for the US Open, which is what I honestly thought. She was in NYC all week because Kanye has been preparing for yet another New York Fashion Week show. Plus, Kim and Kanye came out for the big Givenchy show on Friday night. Kim barely clothed her bump in Givenchy, of course, and? I mean, it?s not as bad as it could be. I remember when she wore Givenchy during her last pregnancy. THAT was horrible. Comparatively speaking, this ensemble is somewhat okay. Does it look like she?s wearing maternity lingerie? Sure. I also wish she would stop with the center part, but I have to give up on that.
For what it?s worth, Givenchy and Riccardo Tisci are especially popular these days and I don?t really understand why. Tisci?s designs are either basic or fug. But the NYFW show got TONS of A-listers and even Vogue had a glowing write-up. Meh.
Kim also posted some photos from outside the Givenchy show. I love how she cuts off Kanye?s head in one pic, then chooses another photo where she?s mostly blocking him.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian leaving her hotel with North West yesterday. Can I just say? I love North?s expression in all of these photos. I?d also like to say that Kim?s baby-poop-colored turtleneck sweaterdress is AWFUL. At least she?s not all covered up and wearing a bulky coat during the NYC heat wave, but seriously, she?s still wearing a sweaterdress so it?s not like she?s really dressing seasonally. Kim and Kanye have been in NYC all week, first to attend a friend?s wedding, and now I think they?re just sticking around for the US Open. I know for sure that Kim attended Venus and Serena Williams? match on Tuesday, and Serena is playing today, so maybe Kim will be there. Kim also went to dinner with Serena a few nights ago ? go here to see Kim?s IG from the night.
While I think Kim is having a somewhat easier time with her second pregnancy, she?s still struggling in a lot of ways. It does feel like Kanye has been around a lot more this time, which must be a relief for Kim, because Yeezy was largely absent during the first pregnancy. Still, Radar says that Kim and Kanye are sleeping in different rooms. Mostly because she?s restless and farty.
Kim Kardashian is struggling through another difficult pregnancy ? and her hubby is also feeling the pain. RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that Kanye West has taken to sleeping in one of the couple?s spare bedrooms in order to get a decent night?s sleep.
?He doesn?t get any rest when he stays in bed with Kim because she?s up and down many times through the night and it wakes him every time,? a family insider tells Radar.
And when Kardashian, 34, does finally fall asleep, notes the insider, ?It?s very restless as she tosses and turns constantly.?
Another reason West, 38, has fled the marital bed? ?Kim?s also become very flatulent and he can?t stand it,? laughs the insider.
However, ?He feels sorry for her because she?s going through another tough pregnancy, but he?s no use to her or North if he?s just as exhausted,? adds the insider. ?Sleeping apart isn?t what either of them want, but it?s a necessity right now.?

Imma let you finish, but Kim Kardashian has the WORST FARTS OF ALL TIME. So, I don?t know? I don?t think it?s weird or unreasonable for Kanye and Kim to sleep in separate bedrooms for a while, especially if she?s dropping stink bombs constantly. It could all be nonsense made up by Radar, but it feels truthy.

The East Coast has had a really warm summer, and even though summer is officially coming to a close, the heat is sticking around. New York City has been breaking all kinds of temperature records for the past month and a half, and yesterday in NYC, the high (mid-day) was 97 degrees. I pity the poor tennis players who have to play in the uncovered stadium during the day at the US Open this week. I watched some of the Tsonga-Cilic game ? which started in the afternoon ? and they were sweating like CRAZY. All of the tennis players have just been drenched all week.
And then we have Kim Kardashian and her obsession with being a butt-covering ninja during this pregnancy. To be fair to her, people did make fun of her body during her first pregnancy and she really has been more ?modest? (for her) during this pregnancy. To be fair to her critics, Kim?s heavy coats and covered-up ensembles have been mind-boggling on either coast. California is basically a sun-drenched desert at this point, and Kim has spent months wandering around LA in four-inch heels, too-small full-length skirts, heavy coats and chunky jewelry. And now this is how she?s dressing for the heat wave in New York City ? these photos are from mid-day on Tuesday.
I?m trying to dissect the layers. Let?s start with her feet and work our way up. Knee-length open-toe boots (I think they?re Givenchy) in black leather. Heavy black velvet skirt which may not even be maternity. Mismatched black blazer, in even heavier looking velvet. Sheer black turtleneck revealing a black bra being strained to the limit. Assorted weaves. She must be BAKING. Swamp Butt 4 Eva. Seriously, it can?t be good for the baby for the mom to get so overheated?

I genuinely have a conspiracy theory about these new Kim Kardashian photos. Kim was photographed yesterday afternoon in LA, looking pretty ?pulled together? and wearing a heavy, butt-covering coat on her shoulders. My conspiracy theory: Kim knew her VMA look was seriously struggling so she made sure to call the paps and get her photo taken in a new outfit right away so sites wouldn?t keep reusing the VMA photos. At this point, I think maybe we should stop complaining about the summer coats and not just because summer is coming to a close. I think we should stop complaining because it?s pretty obvious that Kim is really uncomfortable and I genuinely feel sorry for her. Would I be more sympathetic if she stopped pouring herself into too-tight clothes, four-inch heels and bulky summer coats? Sure. But still?after those VMA photos, I understand the coats.
Meanwhile, Closer Weekly claims that Kim is having serious body image issues during this pregnancy (no duh) and Kanye isn?t helping:
During her first pregnancy, Kim Kardashian made no secret of her struggles to cope with her blossoming figure. At her lowest ebb, the star ? who gained 3st during the pregnancy ? admitted it was ?really tough,? saying: ?I wouldn?t wish it upon anyone.? And now, just three months before her due date, insiders tell Closer that the 34-year-old star?s body insecurities have returned and are wreaking havoc with her confidence.
As Closer reported last week, Kim ranted at her sisters Kourtney and Khloe following a beach workout in St Barts and accused them of using her to make themselves look skinnier. Now pals say Kim dramatically quit working out after feeling increasingly insecure during exercise classes with slimmer women at Barry?s Bootcamp in Sherman Oaks, LA.
A source says: ?Kim looks incredible but she?s feeling very insecure about her body. She thinks she ?balloons? during pregnancy and when she compares herself to other pregnant women at the same stage as her, she feels awful. She hated feeling like the biggest person during group classes at Barry?s and hated working out next to all the fitness-mad LA mums.?
To make matters worse, pals say when Kim first confided in her husband Kanye West ? who is famed for his controlling ways ? he told her the solution was to keep on working out, and then put pressure on her trainers to keep her in shape. A source says: ?Kanye is very controlling and thinks he has an answer for everything. If Kim complains about her body then Kanye blames whoever is training her.”

My answer for that problem is to simply stop going to those particular classes and just work out on your own, or with an individual trainer one-on-one. I?m not like CB, who loves to take classes at the gym. I hate working out with other people. I?d much rather do my own thing. But I suspect Kim does need someone telling her what to do and how to do it, so she should just get a trainer to work with her one-on-one and tailor a pregnancy workout that is no-stress and low-impact.
Last thing: just before the VMAs, Kim Kardashian dropped another Instagram advertisement for Diclegis, the drug that supposedly helps with morning sickness. Kim previously posted an ad for the drug then had to pull it off IG because she violated FDA rules. So she reposted it with the FDA-mandated stuff about side effects, etc.

This is probably just a preview of coming attractions. I?m expecting to see Kim Kardashian tonight on the red carpet of the MTV VMAs, mostly because Kanye West is set to receive the MTV Video Vanguard Award. Why wouldn?t she be there? Of course she?ll be there. What kind of late-August coat will she wear? How many layers? Will she continue to try to make those fug chokers happen? So many questions.
Anyway, these are some assorted photos of Kim out and about on Thursday and Friday. I just didn?t get around to posting these photos because Kim also appeared on the cover of C Magazine ? go here to read. She talked a lot about how her first pregnancy changed her, because she no longer wanted to smile for photographers because she felt so bullied about her weight. She did have pre-eclampsia and I do (and did) feel sorry for that. But I will never stop shaking my head at how she chooses to dress while pregnant. I really just don?t get it.
In the photos of Kim in off-white, is it wrong that I cannot figure out if that?s actually two pieces, like a tank and maternity pants, or if it?s yet another onesie? I think it is a two-piece. And while it?s not good, it?s not as bad as some stuff she?s worn, so? I?ll give it to her. It?s fine. But the coat! She must be so relieved to get inside and be able to take off her butt-covering coats.
Speaking of the butt-covering ensembles, Kim did make a rare public appearance without a coat on Thursday. Those are the photos of Kim in the black dress and the ridiculous heels (are those four-inch heels?!). She was wearing a mic pack too, so she was likely filming scenes for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Here?s a mixed bag of photos of Kim Kardashian from the past few days. On Friday, Kim and the Kardashian-Jenner clan took a private plane out of St. Bart?s. That was a pretty fast vacation, which makes sense if you understand that they literally only went to St. Bart?s on E!?s dime, to film ?vacation scenes? for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I wonder what the storyline will be? My guess is ?Kourtney?s sisters try to convince her to flaunt her body and move on with another man following her breakup with Scott Disick.? Plus, there?s probably some secondary storyline with Kylie and Tyga being disgusting.
Note the onesie on Kim. And this is sort of why I enjoy how miserable she is during her pregnancies. One, it?s simply refreshing to see a celebrity woman who really hates being pregnant, because statistically, many women do hate it. But all you hear from celebrity women is ?OMG, pregnancy is awesome, it?s the best thing ever, if you don?t experience it and love it, you?re not a real woman!? Secondly, half of her misery is self-inflicted. Kim is well into her second trimester and she?s still Spanxing, wearing heels, forcing herself into onesies (for a plane trip!!) and wearing bulky coats in the middle of the summer. We haven?t seen her wear sweatpants and flip-flips once. She doesn?t WANT to be comfortable.
While in St. Bart?s, Kim posted this selfie with the message ?Bored selfie on the boat because I can’t jet pack or jet ski.? Everyone made fun of her, because WOE IS KIM, so bored on the yacht. Doesn?t anyone understand how she struggles?

Kim Kardashian is the latest cover girl for Violet Grey. I usually like Violet Grey?s editorials, because they?re bold enough to mix it up and go for some unconventional styling. There?s nothing really new about dressing up Kim Kardashian to look like Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra, considering Kim has always had a thing for Taylor (and Kim even interviewed Taylor for Harper?s Bazaar years ago). Still, the editorial and interview are interesting because they?re mostly about the iconic makeup artist, Pat McGrath, styling this shoot. Here?s an excerpt (and these are the only quotes from Kim):

It used to really bother me that Kim sees herself as Elizabeth Taylor?s heir in beauty, fame or iconography. But at this point, I?m kind of numb to it. For this shoot in particular, I don?t even believe that Kim was the one forcing the comparison ? she was asked to do an homage and she did (and the photos are pretty striking). The whole point of the editorial is to focus on the genius of Pat McGrath and Kim was used as the blank slate, if you will.

Kim Kardashian spent about 24 hours in New Orleans and then she flew back to LA. She went to a NOLA birthday party for one of her superfans, a girl who goes by the social media name Myleeza Kardashian. Is that a cool thing to do? It seems like a Taylor Swift thing to do, to fly all that way just for a fan?s birthday party. As for these photos of Kim?s return at LAX ? I think she looks really nice here. This is the cutest she?s looked during her pregnancy. She should try this style combo more often ? a coordinated knee-length dress and simple, light coat.
Anyway, we discussed Kim?s book of selfies yesterday. According to Radar/Bookscan, Selfish was an utter publishing flop. But now sources tell Us Weekly that Selfish actually sold really well, especially overseas. It?s a sad day for America when one of our greatest exports is named Katface Kardashian.
Despite an Aug. 3 report that Nielsen Bookscan has logged sales of just 32,000 copies of Kim Kardashian’s 352-page selfie book, Selfish, the book publisher tells Us Weekly that sales are much higher.
“The Bookscan number of 30K floating around is not inaccurate but it represents a very small segment of our sales overall, which are very strong in non-bookstore specialty retailers, and international sales, neither of which report to Bookscan,” Pam Sommers, Executive Director of Publicity at Rizzoli, tells Us Weekly in a statement. “The book is, in fact, a significant success story as a benchmark of the phenomenon of self-portrait in the digital age.”
Sommers adds that the book — released in May — is actually now in its fourth printing, with total trade sales of approximately 125,000 copies, domestic and international. According to Sommers, Rizzoli even switched from an Asian printer to a U.S. printer to “shorten the delivery time to meet robust market demand for the book.”
Originally priced at $19.95, Selfish can now be bought at Barnes & Noble for $12 and on Amazon for around $10.

I actually didn?t know that Selfish was so cheap. Originally $20 for a coffee table book and now $10-12? That pretty affordable. Still, if you want a coffee table book you?ll enjoy for years to come, may I suggest Elizabeth Taylor: My Love Affair with Jewelry. That is seriously one of the best coffee tables books I?ve ever owned.
