It?s been two and a half years since Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel/apartment. It was in early fall 2016 when a group of armed gunmen infiltrated her hotel suite, tied her up and stole all her jewelry. Kim was traumatized for months. She swore she would be different after that. And she was different? for a while. She stopped with the paparazzi extravaganza, especially when she was traveling. She stopped wearing big jewelry for a long time. And then? time passed. She eventually returned to Paris. Her robbers were eventually caught. She even began exposing herself in all kinds of ways on social media and on the carpet.
So, Kim returned to Paris this week. These are photos of her arrival at her hotel, which was extensively documented by the paparazzi. She wore head-to-toe Azzedine Alaa. The leopard print or cheetah print catsuit and trench coat is vintage, from the Fall 1991 Azzedine Alaa collection. The boots are Alaa as well, and I feel like they?re the worst part. Like, she was aiming for Cruella de Vil but the boots make the ensemble look like Snooki. It costs a lot to look this cheap though the whole ensemble costs more than $10K.
Strangely, Kim is already documenting her return to Paris on social media. This makes me so uncomfortable her social media was how the armed robbers were able to target her so precisely in 2016.

Kim Kardashian has loved the cameras for a very long time. She used to just love any attention, and she was visibly happy whenever paparazzi took her photos when she was out and about, or whenever photographers paid attention to her on a red carpet. Then sh-t changed. Maybe it was the Paris robbery and realizing how vulnerable she was when paparazzi tracked her movements, or maybe it was her two difficult pregnancies. Maybe it was all of it. But something shifted, and now Kim usually looks sort of sad and over it when she?s been photographed. Kim took part in a makeup ?Master Class? over the weekend and she was asked by one paying customer/student about laugh lines, wrinkles and how her skin is so smooth. Her answer is? Klassic Kardashian.
When one fan asked Kim Kardashian West her secret to smooth skin while she got her makeup done by longtime pro Mario Dedivanovic during The Master Class in L.A. on Saturday, the star revealed her secret.
?Don?t smile,? the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star honestly replied. The reason Kardashian West also doesn?t like to always show off her pearly whites actually stems from her first pregnancy with 5-year-old daughter, North West.
?Last time [contributed to] not only the weight, but also the swelling that everyone would make fun of, not understanding that I had this condition,? the reality star, who suffered preeclampsia in her first two pregnancies which caused her to bloat, said in an interview with C Magazine. Ultimately, Kardashian West said that the body shaming she faced while pregnant ?changed the way I viewed wanting my picture taken.?
?Before I was always smiling, and so into being out and about,? she said. ?After I had the baby, I was like, ?These are the same people that made fun of me, and posted the stories that were so awful, calling me fat for something I couldn?t control.??
Her solution: stop smiling.
??I don?t want to smile for them. I don?t want to be out,?? Kardashian West added. ?Even if I was more confident, I just didn?t feel like being that girl who was going to be smiling for every photo. It changed my mood; it changed who I was; it changed my personality a lot.?

I mean? I get that. She gained a lot of weight during her first pregnancy and she was sick with preeclampsia. People were really mean to her (and to Jessica Simpson during her first pregnancy too). I get that Kim?s personality changed when people were being mean to her, but I also think? she just used to be a happier person. Before Kanye, she was a lot happier. Before the Paris robbery, she was a lot happier. Her ?not smiling? thing is about a lot more than ?people were mean to me years ago.? Also: it feels like a miserable way to go through life, refusing to smile. Ugh.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian out and about on Thursday during New York Fashion Week. She wore a Thierry Mugler dress which shows off her figure and I was sort of startled to realize that she?s been able to keep the weight off, and perhaps even lose more weight? Maybe it?s diet and exercise, or maybe she?s just getting lipod like crazy.
Anyhoodle, Kim also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Kim was pretty much given time to talk about whatever she wanted, so she talked about her kids (North and Saint are finally getting along), how she?s expecting her fourth via gestational carrier, how parents with four kids are the ?most calm,? and then she launches into a conversation about criminal justice reform and her involvement. I mean? I have issues with Kim about a lot of things, but I still don?t hate the fact that she?s trying to do this work. Do I think she?s the most educated and effective spokesperson on these issues? Of course not, but she doesn?t claim to be. And there ARE companies big and small who will think a little bit more about their hiring practices because Kim talked about it on the Tonight Show. If she really does hire former felons and starts getting involved with anti-recidivism programs and hiring-formerly-incarcerated people, I?ll support her there too.

We all know that Kim Kardashian is one of the most superficial and mindless consumers in the world. She?s not so much a person as a collection of social media sponcon and unearned privilege and wealth. We?ve known for years that Kim spends a fortune on her kids, buying them designer clothes and giving them tons of expensive sh-t that they outgrow in a month or get bored with in a day. The Kardashian-West kids have baby Lambos and Chanel purses and toddler Hummers and diamond necklaces. It?s like the worst on America, on steroids. But even this bugged me: when Kim was in Japan, she bought mini-Louis Vuitton purses for all of the ?baby girls? in the family:
Kim Kardashian West went all out on Christmas gifts for her famous family this past holiday! On Tuesday, Kardashian West, 38, revealed she bought Louis Vuitton Speedy Mini handbags for her daughters North, 5, and Chicago, 11 mos, and nieces Penelope, 6, Dream, 2, Stormi, 11 mos, and True, 8 mos.
?I got these for all of the baby girls in the fam for Xmas from Japan,? Kardashian West wrote over the Instagram Stories photo, which showed the multicolored bags from the Takashi Murakami Collection, which launched in 2003. In total, Kardashian West brought back eight bags, explaining she ?kept one for myself and extras for the future,? after a fan asked who the remaining purses were for.

I?m including the photo below I know a lot of people love those Murakami LV bags, but am I alone in thinking they?re just kind of tacky, nouveau riche status symbols? If I had the money, I would spend a fortune on handbags, to be clear I would buy up so many great-quality Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade and Hermes purses, it would make your head spin. But I wouldn?t waste my money on those LV purses. Also: Stormi and True are less than a year old, wtf do they care about a status symbol purse? They?re probably happier playing with a box, or mama?s keys.

Kim Kardashian?s marriage is so bad, y?all. I would actually have a little bit of sympathy for her if she wasn?t doing the performative ride-or-die thing for Kanye West. As we discussed, Kanye decided to go batsh-t on Twitter last night about Drake. Drake and Kanye?s beef has been simmering for months, and Drake has apparently not spoken to Kanye directly about it in a while. But Drake has spoken to Kris Jenner, and Drake is tight with Travis Scott, who is with Kylie Jenner. Kanye wrote about a hundred tweets over the course of six hours about or to Drake last night. So what did Kim have to say about it?

Every year, I get more and more scared of the flu. I think that?s the point of all the reporting on the flu they?re trying to scare us and make us take it seriously, especially when we?re in the middle of a particularly deadly flu season. So I?ve started getting regular flu shots and whenever I get any kind of sniffle or sore throat, I?m eating Vitamin C gummies and sleeping more and just trying to knock sh-t out before it gets bad. I haven?t had anything more than a 48-hour cold for a few years now, and I?m very thankful that I?ve escaped the latest flu cycles. It helps that I?m (happily) childfree: kids catch everything, and they bring home their viruses and colds and the whole family gets infected. It?s especially rough for families with babies. So how far would a mom go to keep her baby away from the flu? In Kim Kardashian?s case, she?ll literally send her baby more than 2000 miles away to avoid the flu.
Kim Kardashian West is making sure her baby girl doesn?t get sick. The ?Keeping Up With the Kardashians? star explained to Extra on Thursday that she sent her daughter, Chicago, to stay with her aunt Khlo in Cleveland to prevent her 10-month-old from catching the flu that?s going around the KKW Beauty mogul?s home.
?Yesterday was a hard day because we have the flu going around,? the mom of three told the outlet during the launch of her KKW Fragrance at Ulta Beauty in Los Angeles. ?So once the flu happens, and I felt it in the house and my baby didn?t have it ? Chicago ? I sent her to Cleveland with Khlo. So I said? ?Khlo, please take her for like four days, because she?ll get sick [at home] with everyone.?

I find this both reasonable and unreasonable. It?s reasonable because I feel like a lot of parents would totally do this too if they had the chance send your baby to their aunt?s house thousands of miles away to avoid the flu, with an added bonus of making the auntie take care of the baby while you?re dealing with two other kids with the flu. It?s unreasonable because so few people have access to private planes and an auntie who has nothing else to do but take care of your baby. Still, I don?t really blame Kim for giving Chicago to Khloe for a week or whatever. Khloe?s been enjoying it too I bet Chicago and True end up having a great cousin-sisterhood, like North West and Penelope Disick.
