This was sort of what I predicted – I did the math a while back and figured out that Halle Berry was due in early to mid-October. And here we are! Halle and Olivier Martinez welcomed their first child together (second child for Halle) yesterday in LA. As reported months ago, Halle gave birth to a baby boy. Nahla Aubry has a baby brother!
Nahla’s a big sister! Halle Berry’s 5-year-old daughter now has a little brother to play with at home, because the X-Men actress and husband Olivier Martinez just welcomed a baby boy into the world on Saturday, Oct. 5, a rep for the actress confirms to Us Weekly.
Berry, 47, first announced her pregnancy on Apr. 5, telling CNN that it was “the biggest surprise of [her] life.”
“Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me,” she confessed at the time. “So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.” The Oscar winner largely kept mum about her pregnancy in the following months, but did admit to Entertainment Tonight in May that she considered the pregnancy a “miracle.”
“I feel really happy. It’s one of the best things that happened in my life, for sure,” she told reporters at the 20th annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women event at the time.
Berry and Frenchman Martinez, also 47, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Vallery, France this past summer, on July 13. The pair said “I do” in front of around 60 guests, sources tell Us, and later “partied long into the night” in celebration.
The couple first met in 2010, on the set of their film Dark Tide, but Berry didn’t confirm their relationship until much later.
This is the first child for Martinez and second for Berry, who gave birth to Nahla in 2008, with then-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry (the pair began dating in 2005 but ultimately called it quits on their relationship in April 2010). Her daughter has long asked her for a younger sibling, Berry revealed in an interview on The Wendy Williams Show last fall.
“That’s the thing. [My daughter is] asking me,” Berry admitted to the talk show host about expanding her brood. “Every night we pray to God, and she’s so sweet. She says, ‘God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister.’ And I say, ‘I can do one of those things, I know for sure! The other one we have to keep praying on.’ What do you say to her when she wants that and can’t understand why God’s taking so long, you know?”

I truly hope that all is well with Halle and the baby and I hope that this marriage is strong and that it stands the test of time. But my gut is still saying this whole thing is going to end in a giant clusterf?k of accusations, lies, lawyers and crazy. That just seems to be the M.O. But maybe, just maybe, Olivier and Halle?s individual crazies are perfectly suited for each other. Hell, they?ve made it work so far and maybe the baby will bind them together even further. Here?s hoping.
What are the thoughts on what the kid?s name will be? I?m hoping it?s something French, like Henri or Remy or Matthieu. Personally, I love the name Remy.

Stopping for a cool treat, Halle Berry bumped her way to Jamba Juice for a smoothie in Studio City, California on Monday (September 23).
The "Cloud Atlas" star wore a sleeveless blue and white striped dress and flip-flops as she brought her fruity beverage back to her car.
She looks like she's about ready to pop, but the 47-year-old working mama isn't allowing her pregnancy to slow her down.
This past weekend, she went solo to the market, using her handy baby bump to help balance her groceries.

Bumping along in the California sunshine, Halle Berry and Nahla stopped at her school in Studio City, California on Monday (September 16).
The "Cloud Atlas" star looked beautiful in a floral print maternity dress, sandals, and a white fedora as she held the hand of her adorable daughter.
This past weekend, the 47-year-old actress didn't let her pregnancy slow her down at the Earth, Wind & Fire concert in L.A.
Accompanied by hubby Olivier Martinez, Halle busted out some dance moves and sang along to the hits in the audience.

Stepping out for a few errands, Halle Berry showed up at Bristol Farms in Beverly Hills on Thursday afternoon (August 29).
The pregnant ?Monster?s Ball? babe was joined by her daughter Nahla Aubry and was proud to show off her baby bump in her blue and white striped maxi dress.
In real estate news, it seems Halle took a pretty major loss in selling her former Laurentian getaway in St. Hippolyte, Canada.
Though she purchased the property for $1.6 million in 2008, Berry just unloaded it for $1.2 million, a $400,000 hit.

Getting in some all-important one on one time, Halle Berry and Nahla spent some time at the park on Tuesday (August 27) in Los Angeles.
The ?Call? actress kept her growing baby bump under wraps in an all-black ensemble as she and her first born enjoyed the sights of Griffith Park.
Recently, the mom-to-be spoke with reporters about her experience shooting a bikini scene for the James Bond film ?Die Another Day.?
?The sea was freezing,? she explained. ? I had to get in and climb out quite a few times and I went in the water and I kept coming out of the water. Then I had to walk up the beach in ?a certain way?.?
?All the film crew could hear were instructions being shouted at me saying ?Can you be sexier? I was like shouting back at the director ?this is all the sexy I got?.

With her due date quickly approaching, Halle Berry ran some errands in Los Angeles on Wednesday (August 21).
The "Call" actress looked absolutely gorgeous while donning a black maxi dress as she avoided eye contact with the shutterbugs waiting for her.
As previously reported on GossipCenter, Halle and Jennifer Garner recently testified in favor of a state's anti-paparazzi bill that protects children.
In June, while speaking to the congressmen about the paparazzi, Miss Berry stated, "My daughter doesn't want to go to school because she knows 'the men' are watching her."
"They jump out of the bushes and from behind cars and who knows where else, besieging these children just to get a photo," she added.

Sporting a sleeveless black maternity top and belted distressed jeans, the ?Dark Tide? dame carried a few bags and chatted with her adorable little girl, who looked cute in a colorful dress.
Last month, Halle and her beau Olivier Martinez tied the knot at a secret ceremony in France, and she?s due to give birth to their first child together later this year.
Of the nuptials, an eyewitness previously told press, ?White marquees were put up around the grounds and everyone was very discreet because it was a showbusiness wedding, but generally it was pretty down-to-earth. There were around 60 guests in all, and the majority were on Olivier?s side of the family.?

Back in July of 2012, reports said that Halle Berry was hospitalized for a minor head injury that resulted from filming a fight scene where her head slammed into concrete. She was apparently showing signs of a concussion having began throwing up.
Now she explains what actually happened. Halle was filming a fight scene with Michael Eklund forThe Callwhen shit got real.
Halle describes, “The bad guy in the movie accidentally slammed my head into the concrete. He misjudged how far the ground was and he slammed my head into it so I got knocked out.”
However, she says, “I went to the hospital, came back to work the next day, so it was fine.”
I think it would have been really funny if, when Halle was knocked out, the crew came up and started drawing dicks on her face. “That’s what you get for falling asleep with your shoes on, bro!”

Enjoying newlywed bliss, Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez picked up some lunch at Sweet Butter Kitchen in Sherman Oaks, California on Thursday (July 25).
As the very pregnant "Cloud Atlas" star walked along in a short gray dress, white sweater, and flip-flops, her French actor hubby lovingly held her hand in an orange Denver Broncos T-shirt, brown leather jacket, and jeans.
Though this will be the first child for the pair, Olivier is making sure to give the 46-year-old actress's daughter Nahla plenty of love before the new baby arrives.
On Wednesday, the family headed to Century City Mall with the "Dark Tide" hunk carrying the 5-year-old inside to check out the new animated flick, "Turbo"
