Apart from maybe Lucy Lui’s Gone with The Wind disaster, Halle Berry was just about the only Globes attendee wearing a printed dress last night. She was in a celestial print pastel one-shoulder draped Atelier Versace. The bustline made it look like one of her boobs was hanging lower than the other. In true Halle form, she showed off some of her enviable stomach through this dress. So did Halle pull it off? I’ll be damned if she did. Halle loves her 90s fashion and she’s about the only woman who seems to consistently rock it with style. Halle looks gorgeous and offbeat here. She was true to form. Still, this was not occasion appropriate, but what the hell does Halle care? She just wants to look hot. Also, Halle’s eyes look different, don’t they?
This post is somewhat dedicated to the leg-flashers, the women who stuck their legs out, Jolie-style, through the high slit in their gowns. The more time that passes, the more I realize that Jolie was somewhat of a trailblazer for this trend and that we should reserve our mocking for those who follow it blindly. Like I doubt any of these women did this as a joke, particularly Eva Longoria here who is straining to show as much thigh as possible. Look at her caterpillar eyelashes and her Bride of Frankenstein poof. Eva thinks she’s super hot in this black lace dress with slits everywhere. This mess of a dress is custom Emilio Pucci.
Heidi Klum was in her latest go-to designer, Alexandre Vauthier. For Heidi, this tight, high slit gown isn’t bad. For anyone else it’s been done before and it’s not that interesting. Also check out how orange Heidi is.
Also very orange and try-hard is Lea Michele. We just saw her very pap-friendly vacation with her boyfriend, Corey Monteith, so some of this radioactive glow is probably natural, but it looked pretty fake to me on screen. Lea was in Elie Saab. It’s not a bad dress, but she bugs me so much I have a hard time admiring her fashion. Did anyone else get annoyed by the constant L’oreal haircare commercials featuring Lea that aired during the breaks?
And finally Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in black Saint Laurent. This is probably some high fashion gown that I’m not “getting,” but it just looks like a gothic mess to me, like something I would wear to an eighth grade ball and think was cool. I like the belt. I guess Rosie was there as Jason Statham’s date, so they must be going somewhat strong. We heard breakup rumors about these two just about a month ago.
Statham needs to shave that hot head of his. Hair is not a good look for him.

Arriving to accept her Award for Service, Halle Berry attended the BET Honors 2013: Red Carpet Presented By Pantene at Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. on Saturday (January 12).
The "Cloud Atlas" star was looking hot in a strapless red and black gown with a slit up the side, revealing a toned leg and a high heel.
Hosted by Gabrielle Union, the awards showcase "what extraordinary looks like." Joining Halle amongst the honorees are Pastor T.D. Jakes, Chaka Khan, Clarance Avant, and Lisa Leslie with performers including Brandy, Alicia Keys, and Erykah Badu.
Fans can catch Ms. Berry and all the other honorees and performers when the show airs on Monday, February 11th at 8:00c on BET.

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez were in Paris for Christmas ? these are pics of them on Sunday, in his-and-her leather. I hate that I love what both of them are wearing. I wanted to be able to mock it? but they both look incredibly attractive in these pics. His-and-her leather, his-and-her t-necks, his-and-her hair products? but it oddly works on them, at least aesthetically. They were photographed as they checked out two churches in Paris, St. Sulpice and St-Germain des Pres, and there are rumors that they were scouting for a wedding location. Will they marry in Paris? It looks like Christmas is going to be a lot more peaceful than Thanksgiving was for Halle Berry.
On Sunday Dec. 23, the Oscar-winning actress, 46, was radiant and relaxed during a lovey-dovey stroll with her fianc Olivier Martinez in Paris. Wearing a blue navy coat and leather pants, Berry and her Frenchman beau, also 46, walked through the city’s Saint-Germain-des-Pres neighborhood — taking in such tourist sites as the local church.
It’s just what the couple of about two years need right now, after kicking off the extended holiday season on a less-than-cheery note. The Cloud Atlas actress’ ex, model Gabriel Aubry, got into a violent Thanksgiving day brawl with former boxer Martinez at Berry’s L.A. home — with both men sustaining noticeable injuries in a fight regarding Nahla, Berry and Aubry’s 4-year-old daughter.
And Paris holds a special place in Berry’s heart: At the center of her custody dispute with Calvin Klein model Aubry, 36, was her desire to move Nahla to France full-time — a request recently denied by a judge. In the wake of the Thanksgiving Day fight, both Berry and Aubry went back to court before quickly settling.
“Halle and Gabriel came to an agreement because they don’t want her to [Nahla] to be negatively affected,” a source told Us.
Nahla is reportedly in Los Angeles with her father for the holiday.

Yeah, how do we know for sure that Gabriel Aubry came into (and out of) the custodial negotiations in a strong position? Because he was in LA with Nahla for Christmas and Halle and Olivier were in Paris, coordinating their outfits. Well, I hope Nahla had a quiet, peaceful and happy Christmas after her clusterf?k of a Thanksgiving. And I hope Halle and Olivier figure out a way to co-exist with Halle?s baby-daddy without another drama explosion in a few months.
Also, what is with Olivier?s mom jeans? He?s been wearing those horrible things for months!! YIKES.

Sorry I missed all of this new information in my earlier post. If you want to read what we?ve already covered about this Gabriel Aubry-Halle Berry-Olivier Martinez story, go here. The latest news is that Gabriel filed for his own restraining order against Olivier, and Gabe is now claiming that Olivier attacked him and tried to kill him. Gabriel submitted photos to the court which show his badly beaten face, and his version of the events is in direct contradiction to Halle and Olivier?s side of the story (which they got out early ? suspiciously early). Here?s more info:
*We?ve known for a while that Halle had security cameras set up on her property, and that Team Gabriel really wanted those security tapes to see the light of day. According to Radar, Gabriel swears in his application for a restraining order that he ?repeatedly asked cops to secure security footage before it was destroyed? immediately following the fight with Olivier. Gabe says in his declaration: “I told the officers that [Martinez] was the one who attacked me, and repeatedly told them to get the security tapes from Ms. Berry’s security cameras before she and Mr. Martinez deleted them.?
*We previously heard that Olivier threatened Gabe repeatedly before and during the Thanksgiving fistfight, but Radar says that Olivier?s exact words (as Gabe remembers them) were: “We called the cops, [and when they arrive], you?re going to tell them that you?re the one who attacked me, or I?m going to kill you.” Does anyone else think that this whole attack might have been premeditated?
*Gabe will be family court today asking the judge to lift Halle?s protection order so that he can see Nahla. Gabe?s defense is that Olivier instigated the fight. Halle?s lawyers will be appearing during the hearing too, and Halle might show up herself.
*Yesterday, LAPD detectives arrived at Halle?s home to interview her and Olivier. We don?t know what was said.
*Radar has a hilariously obvious pro-Halle story up right now ? it?s all about how Halle the Martyr has resolved to ?give up? her acting career because of all of the horrible drama. A source says:
?Now that a court has ruled Halle can?t move to France permanently, she feels she?s left with no alternative but to quit her career. It may seem pretty dramatic, but Halle doesn?t know what else she can do to stop the tabloids writing about her. In the last few years, she has worked on only a handful of films, so she can dedicate most of her time to Nahla. She also thought that would make her less of a target for the paparazzi, but with all the drama going on in her personal life that hasn?t been the case. Halle thinks that Nahla?s upbringing has been far from ideal. Her picture is taken by photographers all over the world whenever she?s with her mom, and Halle would hate to think that Nahla may come to believe that?s a natural occurrence. But she made a life as an actress, an Oscar-winning one too, so it would be hard for her to just quit,? the source opines.

Here are some newish photos of Halle Berry on Friday in LA with Nahla. Halle took Nahla to see Yo Gabba Gabba! Live at the Nokia Theatre. Other celebrities were there with the kids, of course, but Halle and Nahla definitely got the most attention. As we discussed on Friday, Halle?s ex and her current got into some kind of awful fist-fight outside of her house on Thanksgiving. Gabriel was arrested, charged with misdemeanor battery and released on bond. Olivier was not charged with anything because ? as it seems currently, from an investigative standpoint ? Olivier only injured Gabriel in self-defense, meaning that Gabriel started it.
So, what?s happening around this situation now? There?s not a lot of information, surprisingly enough. I kind of expected Halle to release more details to TMZ, maybe even give a statement to People Magazine. But that hasn?t happened? yet. Maybe she?s waiting for the holiday weekend to be over so that more people will be paying attention. Here are some bullet points of what we know now:
*TMZ reminds us that Halle got an ?emergency protective order? against Gabriel, meaning that he cannot be within 100 feet of her, Olivier or Nahla. To enforce this protective order, Halle is now rolling with armed security guards.
*TMZ says that Halle will be going to court this week to ask for a restraining order against Gabriel. “Sources” (cough) say “Halle and her lawyers are alarmed that Gabriel allegedly started the fight with Olivier Martinez right in front of 4-year-old Nahla. Although a judge issued an emergency order of protection — requiring Gabriel to stay 100 yards away from Halle, Nahla and Olivier — that order expires Tuesday. We’re told Halle’s lawyers will be in family court asking a judge to extend that protection for an indefinite period of time.” Halle’s argument boils down to “Gabriel is violent and she doesn’t want him around Nahla.”
*You can see a photo of Gabriel?s bruised and swollen face here at TMZ. He has a black eye and it?s super-puffy. I bet it hurts like hell too. Olivier?s injuries are said to include a ?screwed up? hand and a sore neck and shoulder, maybe.
*Radar says that Halle?s security cameras captured the fight, but the video hasn?t been given to the LAPD (who are still investigating the situation). Radar says Gabriel wants the video to be turned over ? maybe he thinks the video will prove that Olivier instigated the situation?
Ugh. Hot mess. And it?s only going to get worse, you know.

Doing her best to keep her daughter sheltered from any family drama, Halle Berry took Nahla to the "Yo Gabba Gabba" show at the Nokia Theater at LA Live on Friday (November 23).
The "Cloud Atlas" star wore a black blazer, light blue jeans, and shades while she carried her sleepy-looking 4-year-old in her arms.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the 46-year-old's fiance, Olivier Martinez, and Nahla's father, Gabriel Aubry, got into a scuffle when Aubry dropped off their daughter on Thanksgiving.
According to TMZ, the French-Canadian model pushed and struck Halle's man in the shoulder and Olivier responded by punching him in the face. After being arrested for battery, a judge has since ordered Aubry to stay 100 yards away from Olivier, Halle, and Nahla.

For more than a year, Halle Berry has been engaged in a legal and custodial battle to move permanently out of California. She wants to move to France with her fianc Olivier Martinez, and she wants to take Nahla with her. The problem? Gabriel Aubry, Nahla?s father, put his foot down. Gabriel believed that this ?moving to France? thing was just another attempt by Halle to deprive him of his custodial rights. Halle?s side always seemed to be that she didn?t want Nahla to grow up around the American tabloid press culture, and that somehow France would be better for Nahla. Of course, Duchess Kate?s topless photo scandal ruined that (Kate was photographed topless? on a private estate? in France). This particular custody issue has been going on for a long, long time, and it?s just been resolved. Sort of. Apparently, the judge just ruled on Friday that Halle is NOT allowed to move Nahla out of the country without Gabriel?s permission:

The full details of the ruling are unclear — but one thing’s for sure … Halle did NOT get what she wanted.
Halle has said from the beginning she never wanted to remove Gabriel from Nahla’s life — she merely believed France would be safer for everyone involved.

CB usually covers these stories because I have a history of going hard on Halle. So, let me go out of my way to be fair to Halle: I do think she has a point about the American tabloid/celebrity culture and how detrimental that kind stuff is for a kid. Unfortunately for Halle, she had already tried several other legal maneuvers in an attempt to limit Gabriel?s custody rights, so this argument just seemed like the latest in a long line of bitchy moves. Also: I?ve always felt Halle used the celebrity press when it was convenient for her, like when she wants to push an image of herself as a loving mother and how she has a ?happy family? with Olivier, there are always some happy, ?candid? paparazzi photos. My point is that she?s an active participant in the gossip-game too, so this ?I must move to Paris, to be left alone!? argument never really held water with me. So I?m glad Gabriel?s rights were upheld.

Fresh off an international promotional tour for "Cloud Atlas," the 46-year-old actress recently spoke to PEOPLE about her long-kept short hair.
Back in 1989, she chopped it off and shared, "I remember I went up to my manager?s office and his heart probably stopped beating. And he said, ?You?re never going to work, you?re not what they want!? And I said, ?Good. Let me be something different then.?

The ?Cast Away? hunk proudly donned a mustache with a black jacket/black trousers combo as he hammed it up for the shutterbugs at the CineStar Potsdamer Platz venue.
Meanwhile, Ms. Berry was all smiles in a navy dress with strappy heels as she greeted the crowds who gathered to see her.
In a recent interview, Halle confessed that she loves her cropped coif- ?When I have my short, short hair, that?s when I?m my best self. But hair doesn?t define me. It?s just an accessory that I get to wear, like a handbag or shoes.?
