In these tough economic times, I know which bank to go to if I need money…The Bank of Diddy. Luckily for him all those financial execs who just had their salaries cut to $500,000 were at home crying and not at the NY Knicks game. Could you imagine what they would have done to him if they saw all that green in one hand?
BTW dang who carries that much cash around with them like that besides him? I wonder what or who he was buying with all the cash?

Seeing if the home team could overcome their embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this week, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z were spotted out watching the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden last night as they took on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The “99 Problems” stud and the “Bad Boy for Life” rapper enjoyed their premium courtside seats, with Diddy pulling out a massive wad of cash as he paid a concession worker.

He definitely has a penchant for the dramatic, and on Monday night, Sean “Diddy” Combs declined to attend a party he was supposed to be hosting because NYPD officers wanted to search him.
The “Bad Boy for Life” rapper was scheduled to co-host a birthday party for DJ Clue at the swanky M2 night club on W 28th Street in Manhattan, but when he learned that cops were searching party guests, he threw a fit.

| Snoop Dogg doesn't realize two of the Beatles are dead | Added 15 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

In 2006, Snoop Dogg and his 30-strong entourage caused a riot scene in Heathrow Airport, smashing whiskey bottles in a duty free shop and injuring several officers. Snoop and five of his entourage were arrested. Then in 2007, Snoop was supposed to do a UK tour with Sean Combs (I believe he was “Diddy” at the time), but had to cancel after the British refused to grant Snoop a visa. Now he wants to go back to London to get his creative juices flowing and the government is still denying him entry. Snoop has decided that the best way around the problem will be to ask British celebrities for their help. The only problem is that he references all the Beatles as potential supporters, when only half of them are available:
We can reveal the hip-hop legend has called on heavyweight A-listers Sir Paul McCartney, David Beckham and Madonna to fight his corner.
In an exclusive chat with 3am, the star howled: ?I love London and I?m desperate to come back.
?I?ve called David Beckham, Sir Paul McCartney, hell, I want to get the whole of the Beatles to help me get back in” ….
John Lennon and George Harrison might not return your calls Snoop… don?t take it personally. Snoops and Becks became pals after David moved to the States to play for LA Galaxy. Becks even taught him and his kids how to play football on his Sunday night reality TV show Snoop Dogg?s Father Hood on E! Entertainment.
Now the Dogg wants Becks to play ball with Gordon Brown. And he adds: ?I?m trying to get through to Madonna as well. I?d love them all to write to the Prime Minister to change his mind.?
Snoop?s visa woes began with an arrest at Heathrow following a fracas in April 2006. His joint mega-tour with P Diddy had to be cancelled when he was banned from entering the UK.
Now he says he?s a reformed man and has begged us to come to his aid. He pleaded: ?You got to help me too. London was one of the first places I came to when I first made it. The people are so warm and friendly and I need to be there for my creativity.”
[from The Mirror]
Snoop needs to be in London the same way that he needs marijuana for his migraines. And someone needs to update him on his music history. John Lennon died in 1980 and Harrison in 2001.
Some Googling revealed that after the Heathrow incident, a British judge overruled the original decision to deny Snoop a visa, and that the judge even said Snoop wasn’t at fault. So I’m not sure why he is having visa issues now. Maybe the appeal didn’t fully go through. Either way, good luck with getting Madonna to write the Prime Minister. And good luck getting Gordon Brown to listen.

| Celebrities on recession: Diddy sans bling, Jim Carrey doesn't care | Added 15 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

P. Diddy is showing some sensitivity for the rest of us by toning down his bling during the recession. He’s demonstrating a good deal of common sense and respect for his fans and their financial situations, which probably aren?t as luxurious as his own.
Rapper P Diddy is trying to hold back on his over-the-top fashions and dress less flashy - out of respect for his fans.
The Bad Boy For Life star - who recently grounded his private jet due to the increasing cost of gas - says he is going to scale back on his bling until the credit crunch is over.
He says, “Out of respect, I’ve been trying to dress less flashy. It’s one thing to be stylish, it’s another to be over the top. You gotta know when to hold back and not to rub it in.”
[From Showbiz Spy]
That?s also a smart business move. Diddy doesn?t want to risk alienating people. Part of his branding is having a flashy lifestyle that his fans can emulate by buying his clothes, his music, and the items he promotes. Right now that?s really not possible for a lot of people, and he could lose fans if he were walking around sporting diamonds and drinking Ciroc all the time.
Jim Carrey?s response to the credit crisis is less sensitive towards the common man, but certainly honest.
Jim Carrey insists he hasn’t been affected by the credit crunch - because he has plenty of money.
The actor - who stars in new movie Yes Man - says the current economic climate hasn’t affected him at all - as he has so much money he doesn’t know what to do with it all.
He says, “I’m not in a recession.
“I’m doing incredibly well. I don’t know - I just want to be honest, because I am really kicking ass. It’s so wonderful to have money.”
[From Showbiz Spy via Gossip Rocks]
Well? it?s true. I guess there?s no point in saying it?s hard for you too when it isn?t. And acting like he?s dramatically affected by it would just piss off people. Jim could probably have kept the ?It’s so wonderful to have money,? comment to himself though. But the man?s been banking $20 million paychecks for the better part of fifteen years. He?s probably going to be fine no matter what. Or find a lot of people camping on his doorstep.
