Picking up a few last minute presents, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were spotted doing some Christmas Eve (December 24) shopping at Limonade in Santa Monica with daughters Violet and Seraphina.
Going super casual for the holiday retail romp, the famous family of four strapped on their sneakers for their afternoon gift-buying on the go.
In career news, the expectant momma Jen has a busy 2012 ahead of her, as she's set to star in the "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" with castmate/rapper Common.
Under the direction of Peter Hedges, the comedy/drama centers on a "childless couple who bury a box in their backyard, containing all of their wishes for an infant. Soon, a child is born, though Timothy Green is not all that he appears."

I can barely believe my eyes. Ben Affleck, looking like he enjoys being with his wife and oldest daughter? Ben Affleck being openly affectionate and lovey-dovey with his wife IN PUBLIC? Ben Affleck not being surly when the paparazzi are around? Who are you, Ben Affleck?!? I thought I knew you!
So these are new photos of Ben, Jen and Violet in LA yesterday. Jennifer is ??? God knows how many months pregnant. This pregnancy seems to be much more low-key than her two previous pregnancies – there are still lots of photos of Jennifer and the girls, but she?s taken it down a notch and they?re not getting photographed on a daily basis at this point. This isn?t even the first time (during this pregnancy) where Ben Affleck seems to be enjoying some face-time with his family, although this New Affleck (Affleck 2.0: The Loving Father & Husband Version) has never, in my memory, been so cutesy with his wife. Yes, he?ll hold her hand, but it usually comes with a scowl. I kind of like this new Ben. I wish I could see them like this more often. Usually, whenever the paparazzi are shooting Ben and his family, Ben almost always looks like he wants to curl up and die.
So why does Ben seem so affectionate? Is it just because his lovely wife is preggo and Ben is just trying to be a better dude? Is it because Ben might finally be getting his longed-for son? Jennifer is reportedly pregnant with a son this time, so maybe Ben is just excited about all of the ball games and boy things he?ll be sharing with his son. Or is there another, sketchier reason? Remember how Ben?s name was mentioned often in all of those reports about those high-stakes, underground poker games in Hollywood? Tobey Maguire just settled in one of lawsuits stemming from the games. But I?m sure that?s nothing. It?s just a coincidence!

Stepping out for a delicious meal to start the day, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were spotted having breakfast in Santa Monica this morning (October 26).
The ?Good Will Hunting? hunk and his ?Catch and Release? wife were joined by their daughter Seraphina as they strolled past a swarm of shutterbugs.
In career news, Ben is teaming up with his good friend Matt Damon for a new project based on the life of Whitey Bulger, a notorious Boston criminal.
Affleck told press, "Matt and I have been looking for something to do together for some time. We've heard about Whitey Bulger since we were kids, and we are excited by the prospect of putting it on screen."

I?ve said some mean things about Ben Affleck and his wiglets before. I don?t really know for sure if he wears wigs or pieces, or if he got plugs, but whatever is happening with his hair, it doesn?t look natural to me. Plus, Affleck always looks so weird to me when he?s got a beard. He looks? Indian. Like, I have relatives in India who look strikingly similar. Something about the thickness and consistency of the beard, and the way it grows in, it just makes him look vaguely more ?ethnic? than he really is.
Anyway, these are new photos of Ben on the set of his next directorial-and-starring project, Argo. It?s set in the 1970s, and Ben plays a CIA operative? I think. The plot, as described by IMDB, is:
?As the Iranian revolution reaches a boiling point, a CIA ‘exfiltration’ specialist concocts a risky plan to free a six Americans who have found shelter at the home of the Canadian ambassador.?
Wait, what? Canada was taking hostages in the 1970s?!? No, I think they mean that the six Americans were in the Canadian embassy/residence in Tehran? Right? Right. Anyway, the film also includes John Goodman, Bryan Cranston, Kyle Chandler, Chris Messina, Zeljko Ivanek, and Tate Donovan. Sounds like Affleck is a big fan of Damages, right? Half of the cast comes from Damages.
Oh, and Ben is smoking again. I can?t hate on him for it, under times of stress, it?s really difficult to NOT reach for a cig.
I?ve added some newish photos of Jennifer Garner from the past week. Here?s a question that will haunt you: how is it that Garner looks LESS pregnant now that she?s confirmed her pregnancy. For months and months before confirming it, she wandered around LA in baggy, unflattering ensembles, always looking puffy and bumpy. And now that we know she?s knocked up, suddenly she looks trim, and she?s wearing close-fitting clothes. Oh, and she?s still flashing her thong too.

Showing no signs of slowing up on his career, it was just announced that Ben Affleck is in talks to star in, direct and produce the upcoming film ?Line of Sight.?
Warner Bros. is behind the action project, which is being produced by Joel Silver and Andrew Rona.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plotline centers on an elite commando squad transporting cargo while dealing with a global threat. One of the conceits of the movie is that it tells the tale from a point-of-view akin to a first-person shooter game.
Mr Affleck is currently shooting ?Argo,? a drama set during the Iran hostage crisis involving a CIA team who goes undercover as a sci-fi film crew.

I’ll be damned. Jennifer Garner really is pregnant! When Kaiser called it over the weekend, I thought it was yet another false pregnancy report due to the unflattering outfits Garner usually wears. I’ve assumed she was pregnant in the past when that wasn’t the case. Garner and Affleck just announced that they’re expecting their third child, though. Maybe they’re trying for a boy this time.

The couple, who are parents to two daughters ? Violet, 5, and Seraphina, 2 ? are “thrilled” to be expecting their third child, they confirm to the Associated Press.
Garner and Affleck, both 39, have each spoken of being hands-on parents. After Seraphina’s arrival, Garner said juggling acting and motherhood gave her a “split personality.”
“[I] feel like half my brain is somewhere else all the time, but when the camera’s rolling, I pull it together and focus for two minutes,” she said at the time, “and then I kind of turn back to a ditz again.

Well congratulations to them. I guess now that we know Garner was pregnant when she said “there’s no deeper want for a woman” than to be a mother it’s not as outrageous of a statement. It’s still a little out there, but taken in context it makes sense.
We’ve heard plenty of rumors and blind items that there were problems in their marriage, and that Garner is all about family while Affleck is ready to bolt. It would make sense given what they’ve both said to the press and given Affleck’s past. This is not a guy who gushes about his wife like his best friend, Matt Damon. He probably dotes on his kids though.

Here’s Ben Affleck walking around with a grumpy face and a more stylish variant of helmet hair. The last we commented on Affleck’s hair situation it was looking curly and wiry, making us wonder if his hair was growing out naturally or if it was sprouting in conjunction with some hair plugs. (See this story for a retrospect on Afleck’s hair.) At least one guy with a hair transplant commented that he’d had the procedure and that it looked to him like Affleck had it too:
I got them in the front, and I have straight brown hair. after the procedure, though, the front came in kind of bushy, which was really weird to see my hair actually grow in different.
So, my special input is yes, it?s implants.
These implants actually work, it?s incredible and I look much better.
He probably got them too, and his frontal hair changed too because they take the donor hairs from the back of your head and transplant them up to the front.

So take that for what it is, but I definitely could believe it’s plugs given all the rumors and the changing state of Ben’s hair. This blow out might be for a role, although these photos were taken on a Sunday. Affleck has admitted dyeing his hair, and the gray might indicate that it’s real, a transplant or he could have just chosen a clever toupee. There’s something not quite right about his hair, whether that shizz is natural or not. Kaiser is calling it a “wiglet” and says that Ben needs a new one. Aw, I wouldn’t pull it off during sex. I wouldn’t act like I knew the difference. Even if it was hanging off to the side I’d try not to crack a smile. That thing does suck a lot of sex appeal out of the guy, doesn’t it? He would be so much hotter bald.

These are just some cute photos of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner out at the farmer’s market this Sunday. They look somewhat annoyed to be papped, although there are also photos of them smiling and interacting. Their daughters are adorable as usual and they look like a happy family whose every move is chronicled by the press.
There’s buzz (by the photo agency) of Garner being potentially pregnant again, but we hear that about her every couple of weeks whenever she wears a loose top. I think this striped number isn’t doing her any favors in that it billows out and gives the optical illusion that she has a bump. Photos of her from Thursday show her with a flat stomach.
Affleck seems to have tamed his wild hair and shaved at some point in the last couple of weeks. The last time we saw him he had some very wiry looking hair and a face full of scruff.
Garner looks so different without any makeup, but of course this isn’t the first time we’ve seen her without it. She barely wears it on a daily basis. Personally I feel naked without it. I’m revealing myself to be high maintenance lately but I almost never go out without makeup on. I’m pale with light eyelashes and don’t feel comfortable without mascara and eye pencil on at least. I guess when you have to wear makeup for your job (and when it sometimes takes hours) you probably don’t want to bother putting it on every day. Like I don’t enjoy getting my hair done because the blowout seems like it takes forever. That doesn’t mean I don’t do my hair every day though, I just do it faster than that.
Oh and here’s the photo where the agency is saying Garner looks pregnant. I see it here, but not in the other pictures.

Talk about a picture perfect family ? Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Violet and Seraphina stepped out for a Sunday brunch in Brentwood, CA yesterday (July 10).
The ?Town? actor and his ?Valentine?s Day? wife, along with their precious gals, were all smiles as they exited Villeta restaurant and strolled down the street.
The night before, Garner stopped by the BAFTA Brits to Watch Gala - where she had the pleasure of shaking hands with Prince William and wife, Kate.
Meanwhile, daddy Ben has been enjoying a less hectic summer than usual and has been able to spend the summer days with his ladies.

It’s no secret that Ben Affleck likes to gamble and whore — but nobody knew exactly how much he like to gamble until today, when it was revealed that Ben lost nearly half a million to a movie mogul while partaking in the same secret poker ring that put Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon under federal investigation last month. Radar Online says:
It’s emerged Affleck, 35, even hosted his own game — which was referred to in poker circles as “Ben’s Game” — at the Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills.
“Ben wasn’t the most skillful player,” [an insider said]. “It was almost like he was someone who felt they did not deserve the money they had.”
The actor began gambling with Ron Meyer, president of Universal Studios, [and] their poker games were anything but friendly — the Hollywood honcho’s biggest winning hands came at the expense of the actor, who lost a hand to the tune of $400,000.
“Ben busted big,” one player at the table on the night in question said. “He drummed up a giant tab, and then all of a sudden he disappeared from the game. He wasn’t seen for months.”
It left many in the ring to ask why the star just didn’t pay Meyer. The source said: “He’d had a string of bad movies and didn’t have any big projects on the horizon, and everyone was wondering, ‘Is Ben broke?’
“But we knew that he couldn’t stiff a businessman like Ron Meyer. That would be ‘career over’ in Hollywood. Suicide.
Eventually, Ron got paid.”
Let’s be honest, the name “Ben Affleck” has been synonymous with “career over” for the last six years. And speaking of has-Bens (see how I did that there?), former supermodel Paulina Porizkova went swimming last weekend without her top on. It’s only slightly less depressing than talking about Ben Affleck’s career, but hey — it’s still boobs. And the last time I checked, it was still two more boobs than you had when you first started this post.
