When the first reports of Jennifer Lopez and Alx Rodriguez?s split and broken engagement happened in mid-March, I remarked that Ben Affleck was looming over the conversation like a giant phoenix back tattoo. While J-Rod would end NOT splitting at that moment, they did break up in April and, by all accounts, it was messy and Jennifer was completely over it. As we also know, J.Lo can?t be single for two seconds. So, these past few weeks were the first time that both J.Lo and Ben Affleck have been single since THEIR split in early 2004. It was bound to happen a reunion was practically in the stars, as foretold by the gossip gods. OG Bennifer, yet again.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been spending time together in Los Angeles after her split from Alex Rodriguez, sources exclusively tell Page Six. The Oscar winner has been spotted multiple times going to J.Lo?s California home during the day, we hear, after having been picked up in a white Escalade SUV that allegedly belongs to Lopez and then taken to her nearby mansion. While the pair have not been spotted together, a source told Page Six, ?Security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house.?
Affleck, 48, has allegedly visited Lopez, 51, three times since she returned to Los Angeles from shooting her new film, ?Shotgun Wedding,? in the Dominican Republic. But sources close to the stars tell us they are just friendly and have remained so over the years. An insider said: ?They are friends ? they?ve never not been.?
Page Six reported that Lopez was spotted out to dinner with Rodriguez on April 23 at the Hotel Bel-Air, the same spot where the exes went on their first date back in 2017. She owns a $28 million mansion nearby. Sources told us that Affleck was spotted at the same hotel a day before J.Lo saw A-Rod, on April 22, being dropped off by a white SUV ? which later drove Lopez and a business associate to a business meeting. Days later, on April 28, Affleck was allegedly seen coming out of Lopez?s Bel Air home, sources said.
He was spotted again the next day, April 29, dropping his car at the Hotel Bel-Air in the morning and being picked up by the same white Escalade to go to J.Lo?s home. About 3 hours later, the same white SUV dropped him back at the hotel?s valet, sources said. Affleck was photographed exiting the white SUV in a T-shirt, jeans and sneakers, with a green backpack. He was also photographed leaving his car at the hotel.

First of all, the ?sources? quoted in Page Six?s story are just the paparazzi tracking Jennifer and Ben?s movements. But it doesn?t take a rocket scientist to realize that Jennifer who loves all-white everything has repeatedly sent her white Escalade out to pick up Affleck and that they are enjoying what I can only imagine is a Dunkin Donuts-themed rendezvous.
You can also tell that OG Bennifer is happening yet again because they went to People Magazine to sort-of deny it but not really. People Mag confirms that they?ve been ?hanging out together? in LA and ?They are friends. They have always been friends and they have seen each other through the years. Nature is healing. GOSSIP is healing. This summer is going to be FUN.

Afflarmas is not over! Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas were spotted together after a three week pap stroll break that just happened to coincide with a mildly ribbing article in the Washington Post about their thirstiness. In the interim Ben was in Portugal (maybe with Ana we dont know), Ana adopted a puppy and her brother visited. Anas moves made me think she was soothing a broken heart but she and Ben were spotted out walking their dogs together on Friday and then they went to lunch in Malibu on Sunday.
A great Instagram account I follow, Deuxmoi, posts user-submitted sightings and stories from people who have met (and fed) celebrities. They got two user sightings over the weekend of Ben and Ana, but none in the last three weeks (which I heard about, I dont read all their stories every day). Along with the lack of pap photos, that makes me think that Ben pulled back from Ana. Plus she got a dog and her brother visited! As my friend Zakia said, if she cut and colored her hair that would have been the breakup trifecta. I do think Ben took a break because he cant stand negative publicity, but that hes really into Ana and this isnt over. Just my take!
Also, for those of you who thought Ana is pregnant based on the tunic dress she wore while out with her brother, she wore a very formfitting dress on Saturday. She has very weird fashion so it will take more than one loose dress or giant pair of jeans to tip us off about that.
Oh and on Saturday Elvis, Anas older dog, tried to run away! Ben ran after him and scooped him up. You know that Elvis thought that if Ben is coming back he may as well make a run for it. That poor pup has been looking aggrieved for weeks.
Elvis made a friend, but why isnt that other dog on a leash?

Its been three weeks since Ana De Armas was photographed out with Ben Affleck. As I keep mentioning, that just happens to coincide with the story in The Washington Post calling Ben and Ana the pandemics first tabloid celebrities. They stopped doing pap walks, we only saw Ben out going out alone, and its unclear if the paparazzi just left (doubtful), if they stopped walking their dogs together, if they stopped seeing each other, or if they kept weird hours to throw them off. We do know that Ben was in Portugal right after that article came out. Its likely Ana was with him, although thats unknown. Earlier this week she posted that she adopted a new puppy, Salsa. We know Ben took the photo of her with the pup, as his foot was in that picture. (He has those sneakers.)
Ana was seen outside Bens house on July 22. The paparazzi photographed her arriving with her older little white dog, Elvis. We dont have those photos because theyre exclusives, but you can see them on Lainey Gossip. Lainey talks about the fact that Ana only brought Elvis and that its tricky to train a new pup to walk on a leash. Also she likes Anas pants. I own about three crazy ass big jeans like that but I never have the nerve to wear trendy jeans. I always end up in straight fit or skinny jeans. This summer Ive been wearing a lot of leggings and dresses since its hot and all my jeans are tight on me. (I will fix that!)
These are new photos of Ana out walking Elvis in her town of Venice yesterday, Thursday, with a young guy who is identified as her brother. Look whos wearing a mask finally. I like her little white and gold embroidered shift dress. Ana only has this one brother, his name is Javier Caso, he lives in NY and works as a photographer, and no sisters. The fact that the paparazzi have these photos (and theyre not exclusives) suggest theyve either patiently waited for her the last three weeks or that they were tipped off.
So whats going on with Ana and Ben? I think he cooled off on her after the WaPo article came out and the spell was broken. (Kaiser used that spell was broken phrasing in an email, I should give her credit.) Its like they went from 60 to 0, photo-wise, you know? Plus she got a new puppy. Something is up.

On the Fourth of July, The Washington Posts Emily Yahr published an article in their Pop Culture section calling Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas the pandemic?s only tabloid celebrities. Since that article came out nearly a week ago, WaPo has had only three stories in that category and theyre more general entertainment news like Quibis failure and the fact that it took forever for classic Black sitcoms to go to streaming. The article had a positive spin, saying Ben and Ana are fun to watch and are a nice distraction. We know Ben pays attention to stories about him and it had to have stung that he was being slightly ribbed by WaPo.
We last saw Ben and Ana together looking at homes for sale in Venice on July 3rd. They used to get photographed walking their dogs together at least every other day for weeks. Since that article came out, and its been almost a week, Ben has only been photographed once, alone, walking his dog. That was in Venice yesterday so we know he was visiting Ana. So what happened? Did the WaPo article make Ben and/or Ana realize the optics? Did they make the decision to stop doing paparazzi photo ops and whose idea was that? They were getting on my nerves, but at the same time I miss them. It was fun to see Ana laughing at Ben like he was the funniest guy ever. I liked seeing her ridiculous outfits. She needs to wear a mask more, but that goes against her whole objective at being photographed. We may have Chris Evans and Lily James now, but theyre not going to fill that void.
Theres a whole side story we havent covered about Anas fan account, Ana De Armas Updates, getting blocked and then re-added by the official Knives Out twitter. The Knives out Twitter account has since unblocked Ana De Armas Updates and gave them some never-before-seen behind the scenes photos of Ana as a show of good faith. Paper Magazine has an interview with AJ, who runs Ana De Armas updates, and the Knives Out Twitter team that explains everything.
Ana herself of course blocked Ana De Armas updates after they wrote a funny and benign caption about her walk with Ben on Easter. She hasnt unblocked them yet.

During our Zoom meeting last night, so many of us said that we used to like Ana De Armas and found her mesmerizing in Knives Out, but that weve soured on her after her antics with Ben Affleck. Ben did absolutely nothing for his previous partners and girlfriends careers, so its curious that Ana is doing this. Does she think shes different somehow? She got on my sh-t list when she hugged up on her friends without masks, in view of several paparazzi. Plus she had a lifesize cutout made of herself and put it on Bens lawn. The woman is thirsty, and Ben is a narcissist, so theyre deliriously happy and stuck on each other, for now.
Check out these new photos of them playing it up. Ana so amused by whatever Ben is saying shes literally slapping her knee. I had to blow up the photo of Anas sweet dogs save me face. This is where I got the idea.
Also, a lot of you pointed out yesterday that Ben has been using the Just For Men beard dye, or, more likely, hes having his stylist do it. Im sure hes still able to slip out and go to appointments without being photographed. He does look good, for him.
The two of them did step out with masks later in the day, which is progress. I wonder whose idea that was.

Yesterday we covered photos of Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas walking their dogs, and a lot of you pointed out that they werent wearing masks. Considering that its just the two of them I didnt think it was that big of a deal, especially compared to the other times weve seen Ana in particular without a mask. The mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, has issued an order requiring Angelenos to wear face coverings when they leave their their homes and will be near other people. I guess you could interpret that to mean that its ok not to wear a mask if youre just walking your dog. If youre famous and know youre going to be photographed, would you prioritize getting your face in the photos or would you wear a mask to show its the right thing to do for everyones health? Covid is surging in California and Los Angeles County in particular, and beaches, bike paths and piers have been ordered closed for the upcoming Fourth of July Weekend. Thats all Im saying about that.
Ben held his dogs poo in a bag. I think hes the type of guy who wont pick it up unless there are witnesses, but thats my own bias. They embraced and hugged. Ana was in a floral bohemian dress with balloon sleeves, which she paired with flip flops. I wonder how many outfits shes getting sent and if shes getting paid to wear them. She must be, right?
Do you guys want to keep talking about Ben and Ana? It seems like you do. Like many of you I had a very positive opinion of her after seeing her performance in Knives Out. That has changed. She seems perfect for Ben. They both love dogs and getting their picture taken.

Did you see what I did in the title? These are just new photos of Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas taking their dogs for a walk in Venice, CA last night, where Ana lives. I didnt want to cover these, but you guys like to talk about Ben and Ana, specifically Ana and how fame-hungry she is. (Even Paris Hilton hasnt posted a giant cut out of herself on her lawn. That was beyond.) Im so over them I forgot to put that story about Ana not wearing a mask in the daily Celebitchy email yesterday.
When Ben and Ana first got together, a lot of people thought it was a publicity stunt. Its been happening so long Im sort-of positive theyre for-real, as much as those two can be, which doesnt mean theyre not milking this for publicity. In these photos they look really happy together. Ben looked like that in the beginning with Jennifer Garner too. He also looked like that when they split up and maybe got back together.
Ana wore shorts, a black t-shirt, a comfy-looking Santa Fe style wrap and black leather booties with black socks. Thats a weird choice of footwear for shorts, right? Those are fall and winter booties, although Ive seen women wear them with shorts and make them look good. I just dont think this look works with those particular booties.
Oh and as for Anas continued lack of mask-wearing (Im talking about her previous incidents, not these photos), a lot of you commented that it makes you like her less. Shes a great actress but shes showing us how fame-hungry she is. Its possible shes taking her mask off just for the photographers, since shes been seen carrying them. Thats still sending a message, especially after she was seen hugging friends. Also lola pointed out that Jennifer Garner has been wearing masks in her Instagram stories and reminding people to wear them. Shes got to have some thoughts about this.

The last time we saw Ana De Armas she was hugging up on her friends, Djokovic-style, without any of them wearing masks. (They did wear masks at one point, but thats not relevant if they were up in each others faces without them.) I wondered how Jennifer Garner would feel about that, considering how hands-on Ana has been with Jen and Bens kids. Weve been hearing this narrative that Ana is getting to know Bens kids, and theyve been stepping out together. Well Ana, Ben and two of his kids went to paparazzi hotspot Brentwood Country Mart for lunch on Saturday and everyone but Ana wore a mask.
Ana may have blocked Ana De Armas updates but shes surely pays attention to coverage about herself. She knows people were taking her to task for not wearing a mask with her friends, and yet she did it again with Ben and his kids. Maybe she took it off so she could show her whole face in photos, as if we havent seen enough of it lately. (Shes lovely, you know what I mean.) She absolutely knows how that looks and what shes doing.
On Sunday, Matt Damon, his wife Luciana and their two youngest daughters visited Ben at home. I hope they were socially distancing and washing their hands a lot. Also there are more photos of Ana from Saturday. You can see them through the Twitter link below.

Its been a while since weve had new photos of Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas. I know theyve been photographed together since weve last covered them but they were exclusive photos so we couldnt post them. Im not sure how much you guys care though. Interest in these two is definitely waning. We do have an ongoing joke in our CB Zoom meeting with one member who loves Ben. Weve talked about it on the podcast a couple of times! (Episode #53 at minute 38 and Episode #24 at minute 28.) Ben is looking better though. There was a recent tweet that went viral claiming hed de-aged himself back to the 90s. I just think it was a good angle and the fact that hes lost weight and was wearing a flannel shirt, but he does look good. Also, everyone is making fun of how much sugar and cream Ben uses in his coffee.
These are photos of Ben and Ana out at the Brentwood Country Mart, where the photo agency says they had lunch. Im assuming they ate inside, because there arent any photos of them eating outside. Since its California they probably have very good social distancing and Im sure the wait staff wear masks. It still scares me to go out to eat though and I havent done it yet, even outside. My son and I usually get takeout and then go sit at a picnic bench where we can people watch. Ive seen restaurants in my town that are crowded with the doors closed. It will probably be at least six months until we do that again.
What do you think about Anas jeans? Celebrities wear so many fug jean trends that the rest of us cant pull off. (Not that I havent tried.) Her sweater with the stripes down the shoulders is cute too. The jeans look kind of cool on her and like a 90s throwback. This makes me wonder if shes watched Bens old movies. She so seems like the type who would do that. You know shes watched even the sh-tty ones like Reindeer Games, Forces of Nature and Bounce.
Look at Bens face! Did we ever see him look like this with Jennifer? (That is absolutely no shade on her.)
