This is kind of a heart-warming story of a lone sober, responsible person, picking up the slack in Charlie Sheen’s mess of a life. So Charlie’s last ex wife, Brooke Mueller, entered rehab for the 19th time (literally, I’m not exaggerating) a couple of weeks ago after failing a court-ordered drug test and violating probation. Brooke is facing jail time, but that didn’t make her 19th stay in rehab stick at all. She left rehab after less than a week, using the excuse that she only needed to “detox.” I haven’t been following the updates on TMZ about this, but a quick look reveals that Brooke, 35, was under investigation by Child and Family Services while she was in rehab/detox (she has three and a half year-old twin sons, Bob and Max, with Charlie) and that the boys went to Charlie’s other ex, Denise Richards, to stay. Then Brooke tried to take the boys back, which she can legally do because she has custody still, and had them stay with another relative until she was done with rehab. She decided to do this after a beef with Denise over the fact that Denise wanted to let the boys see their dad, Charlie. Are you eyes glazing over yet? There’s more in this story on TMZ if you’re interested in the stupid details. Addicts are so logical and so concerned about their children’s welfare.
Anyway, again here’s Denise Richards, providing some semblance of normalcy in the lives of sweet, innocent little boys who are used to be cared for by prostitutes and an addict mom. (Not that prostitutes can’t be decent caregivers, especially when compared to Brooke.) Denise told Access Hollywood that the boys can stay with her and her three girls anytime, and that they’re family. The bad news is that they’re back with Brooke now that she’s out of rehab.
The beauty stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, where she chatted about her work with ShoeDazzle ? which is benefitting the Kidney Cancer Association ? and she also spoke about helping Charlie and Brooke care for their 3-year-old twin sons, Bob and Max, while Brooke was reportedly in rehab.
?[The twins] are back with Brooke Mueller,? Denise told Billy Bush and guest co-host Vinny Guadagnino.
With the twins ? plus her daughters Sam, 8, Lola, 7 and Eloise, 18 months, Denise had her hands full.
?This is not the first time I?ve had all five, they?re Sam and Lola?s brothers. It was a full house, lots of love and life,? she explained. ?Brooke knows anytime, and Charlie, that any time they need help with the boys, that I?m there.?
Despite divorces and past problems, the actress stressed that they put their family first.
?They?re our family and they?re Sam and Lola?s brothers and I can?t imagine growing up without my sister, so anytime she needs help, I?m there for the boys,? she continued. ?[Sam and Lola] are the best big sisters to [the boys] and they love them.?
Adding, ?I know it doesn?t seem normal, but it is our normal. They?re little kids and I love children, and like I said, it?s our daughter?s brothers, so I can?t say no.?

I’ve heard some horror stories about California CFS and I’ve leave it at that. So don’t expect Brooke Mueller to lose custody anytime soon, despite the fact that she’s failing drug tests and is so obviously wasted out of her mind. At least Denise Richards is there to help when needed, but how confusing must it be for those little boys to have to be shuffled around like that? I just feel for them. It’s possible that Brooke will get some jail time and that Max and Bob will have to go live with Denise for a while, but again this is California. That’s not going to happen.

Looking for a caffeinated boost, Denise Richards showed up at a Starbucks coffeehouse in Calabasas, California yesterday afternoon (December 2).
Joined by her daughters Sam and Lola Sheen, the ?Wild Things? actress braved the rainy conditions with her stylish UGG boots as they all scurried back to their car.
Last month, Denise made headlines for coming to the rescue of a dog displaced by the wrath of Hurricane Sandy in Long Island, New York.
Richards adopted a pooch named Tara, adding to her already-massive brood of canine companions, during her promotional appearance at the North Shore Animal League America.
As for the total number of dogs under her roof, Denise explained, "I always say too many to count. I have a lot. I converted my garage into a dog bedroom. And it's good for my girls. For my daughter's birthday party, in lieu of gifts, we asked if anyone was interested in donating blankets and dog food and cat litter and my daughter dropped it off at the shelter. So, it's nice for them to know and to learn to give back. And they're very nurturing, which is great for the animals, too."

Getting all glammed up for a spectacular evening, Denise Richards strutted her stuff at the 2012 CMT Awardsin Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday (June 6).
The beautiful ?Wild Things? actress switched up movies for music in a gorgeous, sparkly dress as she joined some of country?s biggest stars on the red carpet at the Bridgestone Arena venue before gearing up to head inside for the night?s festivities.
Hosted by the adorable Kristen Bell and Toby Keith, this year?s annual awards show is sure to bring quite the stage presence as stars including, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Band and Luke Bryan will all be picking up the mic.
The show will air live from the arena in country?s biggest town this evening (June 6) on CMT and CMT.com all starting at 8/7c.

Denise Richards is earning money the Stacy Keibler way, by throwing us a tidbit of information in exchange for a plug for a product or service she’s endorsing. We just saw Denise posing in staged candid photos plugging kitty litter (they’re here, I hope she got paid for that) and now she’s trying to sell us on a workout called Physique 57. In a new interview with ET Denise talked about her famous ex, Charlie Sheen, and the “craziest rumor” that’s been floated about her, that she was a hooker working for Heidi Fleiss when she met Charlie Sheen. It’s well established that Charlie was one of Fleiss’ best customers, and that his addiction to hiring hookers and trying to legitimize them by moving them in continues to this day. So it’s not so much of a stretch to assume that this is how he met Denise too, but she assures us it’s not. I’ve heard these rumors for a while, and I guess she denied them last year too, but this is the first time I’ve paid attention to it.
On rumors that she’s been a hooker
The craziest rumor that’s ever been written about me is that I was a prostitute for Heidi Fleiss. I think my ex-husband [Charlie Sheen] would vouch for me, and Heidi I’m sure would too, that I was not. I’ve never been a hooker.

Well Denise has to talk about something to get our interest, and this worked. It’s got to be hard to deal with seeing your ex husband give multiple nonsensical interviews with the two 20 year-old porn stars he moved into his house, but she handled it all with more grace than I could ever show in that situation.
Charlie and Denise were seen attending their daughter soccer game together on Monday and they looked very peaceful and happy. (Apart from the fact that Charlie forgot to put his teeth in.) Denise is pushing her adopted baby daughter, Eloise, in a stroller. People have floated the theory that Eloise is actually Charlie Sheen’s daughter from another woman, and was given up to Denise to raise. The baby does look like him, so I wouldn’t be surprised.

I think it was the illustrious J-Wowww who compared reconciling with an old boyfriend to reheating cooked pasta. It’s a good analogy, really, because an old flame can seem familiar and comforting but much blander and staler the second time around. When we’re talking about Richie Sambora, I guess it’s more like reheating spoiled meat though. He never was a catch and never will be, although I guess a drunken rocker can seem like an awesome boyfriend when you compare him to a drugged out TV star who hires hookers he finds on the Barely Legal adult film series.
Anyway last year The Enquirer was claiming that these two were together over the summer, I had forgotten about that. They were first linked in 2006, broke up about a year later, and now they’re supposedly together yet again, according to The Enquirer’s sister site, Radar Online. I doubt they’ve been together since last summer this go-round. I bet Denise just calls her tabloid contacts whenever she has dinner with Richie. Here’s more:

Bombshell beauty Denise Richards is back together with her ex-boyfriend Richie Sambora, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
?They are dating again,? a source close to the couple revealed.
Richards, 40, and Sambora, 52, dated in 2006 following their divorces from Charlie Sheen and Heather Locklear, respectively, but broke up in 2007.
Now it seems like the pair have reconciled again, following a romantic dinner at Tatsuki sushi restaurant in Woodland Hills, California on Sunday night. ?They were there over an hour and they had the whole place to themselves for the last half hour.?
Denise and Richie walked by a tattoo parlor on the way out of the restaurant and he joked to Denise, ?What do ya think, should I get one?? and she laughed.

The “low key” crap is very similar to the story last year about how they were “staying out of the public eye because they didn?t want to become part of the media hoopla surrounding their ex-spouses.” Denise probably wants to hit up a few red carpets and have dinner at Mr. Chow but Richie is probably telling her “no.” So she’s telling Radar and The Enquirer that they’re trying to keep it “low key.”
This is mildly interesting to me on a “what is she thinking?” level. If Denise and Richie started getting papped together I think the collective response would be a shrug and she knows that. So… well played?

Kicking the week off with a day on set, Denise Richards was spotted filming her guest spot for the hit show ?30 Rock? in New York City on Monday (October 17).
The reality TV star donned a stylish ensemble consisting of knee-high boots, leggings, a leopard print jacket and cute hat as she got into character at the Rockefeller Center locale.
The guest starring effort comes just as Denise recently opened up about her decision to adopt a baby girl despite the fact that she is single.
"I had always wanted more children," she wrote in a blog post earlier today. "I needed to make a decision: Do I wait for the right partner or move ahead with my life and do it on my own? I decided to do it on my own."
Richards went onto explain that the adoption process took two years, which left her feeling defeated at times.
"But I always had faith that the right baby would find us," she wrote. "I've always felt that children choose their parents, and Eloise found me a different way."

Denise Richards was photographed on Saturday out with her daughter Lola, 6, (from her marriage to Charlie Sheen) and her newest daughter Eloise Joni, 3 months, whom she adopted early this summer. Denise and her daughters were at a soccer game for her daughter Sam, 7, who was out playing on the field for most of these shots.
In these photos, the baby looks sleepy and ready for a nap while Denise is content to talk on the phone, accept a hug and kiss from Lola, and even feed Eloise, all without looking at the baby at all. I couldn’t find one photo from the two agencies that had this set where Denise was looking at little Eloise and it kind of bothered me. I’m serious! Denise also gives her a bottle without seeming to pay attention. She’s at a soccer game, though, so Denise’s blank forward stare might mean she’s just engrossed watching the game while making sure that she’s photographed properly. Then when Denise is walking with Eloise, she again holds her but I couldn’t find a photo where she seems to be looking at her. Maybe it’s just hard to tell since she’s wearing sunglasses. It’s possible that when Denise was looking down none of the photographers took her picture since you couldn’t see her face.
I shouldn’t be so judgmental, Denise is holding the baby the whole time and it’s not like she leaves her in the carriage or alone on a blanket at all. She’s also spoken in the past about how much she adores Eloise and loves to hold her, telling Access Hollywood “I carry her everywhere. I just love her so much and she just loves to be held and cuddled. I hold her all the time.”
In her US Magazine interview this summer introducing her new baby and promoting her new memoir, Denise some really sweet things to say about Eloise. She said “She is a cuddle bug. She loves being hugged and held. She?s such a beautiful little baby and little soul.” Here’s a link to a photo of Denise looking at Eloise, on another day when she wasn’t so distracted.

Since TV is all about realism, producers of Two and a Half Menthought it’d be a good idea to have a real ex be at his TV funeral. “Hm, who’s in desperate need of money and used to date Charlie Sheen?,” they thought to themselves and, poof, Denise Richard’s name popped into their heads.
But what is this? Denise Richards turned down the offer? Quick, someone check. Has hell frozen over?
“They wanted to bring back a real ex,” the source tells Life & Style. It was hard for Denise to say no because “she really wants to get back into TV,” says a friend.

Making another promotional appearance, Denise Richards hit the late show circuit as she stopped by " Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last night (August 4).
The always-stunning "Wild Things" actress took to the set in a super-hot ensemble, wearing a plunging red mini-dress and silver pumps as she gave press for her new book, "The Real Girl Next Door."
While dishing about the contents of the "tell-some," Denise recounted a time when her ex, Charlie Sheen, invited her to dinner - with a bevy of hookers and a few married men.
Adding to the laughter, Richards touched on the subject of her new bundle of joy, her adopted daughter Eloise Joni, of whom she joking said is "easier to take care of" than Sheen.
