Last week, we covered the new documentary about Vogue?s Anna Wintour, premiering at Sundance, called The September Issue. As more people see the film, funny parts of the true story of putting together Vogue?s biggest issue, the September issue, come out. The documentary was filmed in 2007, and the September cover girl was Sienna Miller, pre-Balthazar Getty, aka when she was hot stuff, and people still wanted to work with her.
According to reports, the documentary features scenes where Anna Wintour and her staff repeatedly complaining about how ?toothy? Sienna Miller is. So ?toothy? they have to retouch her smile. Tabloid reports are making this into some kind of scandal, but I just don?t see any ?there? there. It?s not exactly breaking news that women get epically retouched on or in magazines. But here?s the dirt, from the Telegraph:
The revelation was contained in a fly-on-the-wall documentary about the magazine, The September Issue, which was screened for the first time at the Sundance Film Festival.
The documentary, put together by veteran producer and director RJ Cutler, lifts the curtain on Vogue’s production process for the most important issue of the year.
In it, staff are seen despairing over the state of their cover star in pictures taken by the world-renowned Italian photographer Mario Testino.
Wintour, 58, who is said to have been the inspiration for the boss from hell in The Devil Wears Prada, memorably played on screen by Meryl Streep, is shown complaining about her being “toothy” while other staff are concerned by the number of fillings she has.
At the last minute, staff are reduced to superimposing one picture of her face onto another of her body. One viewer who watched the documentary told arts news website The List: “It must be awful for Sienna to see. Anna keeps complaining she is too ‘toothy’ and the other staff are worried she has too many fillings. The editors hint at Sienna to cut her hair and she ignores them, which worried them even more.
“It was funny, but probably not for her.”
However, Vogue’s head of publicity insisted the retouching was not personal. Head of communications Patrick O’Connell told the Daily Mirror: “While some retouching is a fact for any cover, no one is more convinced of Ms Miller’s beauty than Vogue. The fact she appeared on the magazine’s September cover, our most important issue of the year, is a testimony to this truth.”
Miss Miller’s US publicist Leslie Sloan told the paper: “Sienna Miller is the first person to admit that her photos are always retouched ? no one is ever that perfect.”

What?s funny is that I remember this Vogue cover, I might even still have it somewhere. Sienna?s smile isn?t the problem, it?s her little rooster-tail hairstyle that sucks. For some reason, Vogue stylists thought it would be fashionable to pull Sienna?s hair into an extremely high ponytail - I just didn?t get it.
Reports are flying back and forth that Sienna is coming to New York to do a play, but it?s still up in the air. One thing is for sure, she won?t be getting another Vogue cover any time soon.

It looks like Sienna Miller is taking her cues from fellow Hollywood hottie Katie Holmes, as she’s scheduled to hit Broadway this fall.
The “Factory Girl” babe has been cast as Miss Julie in a production of “After Miss Julie,” a show that has only three roles. And it will be a chance for Sienna to return to her Big Apple roots - she was born in NYC, and though she grew up in the UK, she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Manhattan.

Looking to blow off some steam, Sienna Miller was spotted out at the Groucho Club in London, England around 2am this morning (January 15), looking like her typical party girl self.
The “Factory Girl” gal was joined by a mystery male as she made her way out of the bar, and headed to nearby Jerry’s Club. According to eyewitnesses, the pair headed out the side door around 3:30am.

Sienna Miller has left the film Nottingham. She was going to play Maid Marion to Russell Crowe?s Robin Hood in the Ridley Scott-directed film, due to start production in February, now set to start in April. So… was she fired, did she quit, or did she get pushed out by Russell Crowe?s massive ego (and gut)?
The gossip is pretty juicy and consists of unnamed sources talking to PageSix and British tabloids - and it’s probably Miller, Crowe and Ridley Scott all sending their people out to do damage control. Something happened, and it?s probably really great gossip. Here?s what I know for sure - no matter what, Sienna Miller is definitely out. Whether she jumped or she was pushed, I can?t tell.
~Sienna Miller was dropped from the cast of new movie Nottingham after Russell Crow demanded script rewrites that effectively forced her out of the flick, it has been claimed.
According to the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six, the British actress - who was to play Maid Marian - left the movie yesterday after being “put on hold” while shooting was pushed back from February to April.
A source says, “It is a mess. Russell never lost the weight he put on for Body of Evidence - and so the love scenes between him and Sienna would have been laughable. He’s so old and fat and she’s so young and gorgeous. It’s just . . . gross.?
“Producers are now looking for an older, plumper actress to play the role so [Crowe] doesn’t look like a paunchy grandpa. Someone in her late 30s or early 40s.
“Originally the movie was about a love triangle between Maid Marian, Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham.
“It is now all about Russell’s Robin Hood. Literally, 40 pages of script were redone and now are just devoted to him and his massive ego. It’s amazing.”
It is also being claimed that Crowe is trying to get director Ridley Scott fired - and that calls were made to several prominent directors over the holidays to find a replacement.
“All of this was done behind Ridley’s back,” the source said. “He has no idea.”
A studio rep acknowledged that Alfie actress Miller was “released” but flatly denied “these rumors”, insisting “Nottingham is moving ahead with Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott.”

Other sources are claiming unequivocally that Sienna Miller quit, that it was merely a timing issue with the new start date, and a representative for Miller confirmed she has quit the picture, insisting the actress is “fine and about to sign on to two other movies” according to Contact Music.
When reading the PageSix quotes, I tend to think they?re coming from Sienna?s people. Who else would say ?…the love scenes between him and Sienna would have been laughable. He’s so old and fat and she’s so young and gorgeous,? besides someone being paid to represent Sienna Miller? Granted, Russell Crowe might currently be overweight, but he?s still an Oscar-winning actor with a really good resume, which is *so much* more than Sienna has. But I totally believe that Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe are fighting with each other - they?ve supposedly been pissy with each other for years now.

Balthazar Getty, the (married with four kids) small-time TV actor whose star rose to infamy when pictures of him and a topless Sienna Miller surfaced on the internet, may be fired from his show, “Brothers and Sisters.” After rumors of secret trysts at hotels, a divorce, some graffiti, no wait they’re not getting a divorce, a break up with Sienna, a gift gone wrong, getting back with Sienna (it’s complicated), it seems like it’s all gone to his head.
One possible explanation for his firing may be a rift between Getty and his co-star, Matthew Rhys. Rhys used to date Sienna and apparently introduced the new couple, but was furious when they began hooking up. Understandable, but with Sienna’s “dating” record, he had to know that it was inevitable. Another reason may be Getty’s behavior on set, which is far from acceptable:
“No one on set is a fan,” one source reports…
I?m told Getty has been late to set and he’s been in foul moods. “They often have to move shooting schedules around to accommodate [him],” a source says.
Getty was so “difficult”… that one costar was reduced to tears, according to the sources.

The article goes on to say that he has been forgetting his lines and just generally being a pain. Part of it may be the stress of leaving his children and wife in the dust. Poor, misunderstood adulterers. Seriously, the guy has four kids, and apparently not much money. If he wants to cheat, there are more subtle ways to go about it that wouldn’t harm his family so directly through the embarrassment. But as it is, could he have been any more blatant about his affair and could he have picked a partner with a more troubled dating past? Probably not.
He probably thought that hooking up with someone as high-profile as Sienna would give him a name and then get him better jobs. But instead, he’s being fired from the one he has now.
Fun fact: According to IMDB, Balthazar played Ralph in “The Lord of the Flies.” It’s always the child actors that end up being the biggest messes, isn’t it?

The “Factory Girl” actress looked like she was desperately trying to hide from the shutterbugs as she accompanied her “Brothers and Sisters” beau into a waiting car.
