I had choice of posting high-quality pictures of Miley Cyrus in a bikini, or these blurry pictures of Kate Beckinsale in a bikini. I went with my gut and picked Kate. And by “gut”, I mean “the one that didn’t have Chiclets for teeth and a touch of the ‘tard”. I think I can say with assurance that I did the right thing.

Giving potential theatergoers a taste of what?s to come, Screen Gems released the first trailer for the upcoming movie ?Underworld: Awakening.?
The film stars Kate Beckinsale in the lead role, while also boasting cast members Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, India Eisley and Charles Dance.
Beckinsale returns to the series as vampire warrioress Selene, with the action finding her breaking out of prison to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans in the midst of war,
?Underworld: Awakening" is set to open in 3D and 2D theaters on January 20th.

Kicking off another day of filming, Kate Beckinsale was spotted on the set of ?Total Recall? in Toronto, Canada today (July 26).
The ?Serendipity? starlet looked like she meant business in a slim-fitting black ensemble as she geared up to shoot an action sequence.
In a recent interview, Ms. Beckinsale revealed her secret obsession- she absolutely loves a good book.
?Books. I?m an obsessive reader. I probably should read less ? it?s like an addiction. I studied French and Russian, so I like those, but I like the modern novel and I loved ?Harry Potter.? I?m really sad about that being over. My daughter?s into ?The Hunger Games? now. I haven?t read that yet.?

She's constantly on the go, and Kate Beckinsale was spotted arriving for a flight at LAX airport in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday night (June 18).
The always-lovely 37-year-old English actress was bundled up for the red-eye flight as she toted her belongings up to the security checkpoint before disappearing in the terminal to board the outbound aircraft.
Kate's travels come as she's in the midst of shooting "Total Recall" in Toronto - a film that's being directed by her husband, Len Wiseman.
Also starring Colin Farrell and Jessica Biel, the action/adventure movie's synopsis via IMDB reads: "As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, a factory worker (Farrell) begins to suspect that he?s a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he?s on.?

A few weeks ago, Kaiser was aghast to learn that Kate Bosworth was reportedly (at least, according to her publicist) up for a gig opposite Colin Farrell in the superfluous remake of Total Recall. Naturally, it was a terrible idea to consider Bosworth in a remake that shouldn’t exist at all; and while I honestly think that Colin Farrell (who is no slouch in the action department), is quite talented, I don’t see him in the Schwarznegger role either. This is probably because I just don’t see anyone filling Arnold’s formerly musclebound prowess in a sufficient and wholly unlaughable manner. For loyalists like myself, this remake has already been doomed from conception, but at least there’s the positive news now that Bosworth has been disregarded for the role in favor of another Kate, who just happens to have the last name “Beckinsale”:

Both that role and the role of Melina (played in the original by Rachel Ticotin) has drawn high interest from actresses. I’ve heard that Eva Mendes and Rosario Dawson are the serious contenders for the latter role. Beckinsale wasn’t among the names most often mentioned among actresses who read for Lori. But she certainly has a track record with the film’s director, Len Wiseman. They’re married, and before that, worked together on the Underworld films. Beckinsale, who just wrapped Contraband with Mark Wahlberg, is also attached to star in The Trials of Kate McCullough, to be directed by Karen Moncrieff. She is currently shooting Underworld 4: New Dawn, so we’ll have to wait a beat to see if she accepts. She’s repped by WME and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

Sure, Kate Beckinsale is a much wiser choice for the Sharon Stone role than Kate Bosworth, but I have a hunch that nearly any famous Kate (Winslet, Hudson, Moss, Gosselin, maybe even Middleton) could eastily do better than Bosworth. She’s such a no talent who has relied on her relative good looks to get her far enough in Hollywood, but she’s no actress. Man, I bet Bosworth is seriously pissed about this little slight. She needs to look at the bright side though, for this will totally free up her schedule and give her more time not only to get papped with Alexander Skarsgard but also to convince the world that she reads Russian literature, right?

Kate Beckinsale has been offered one of the female leads in the Total Recall remake prompting Len Wiseman to fall to his knees and scream to the heavens because he was just about to start principal photography on Underworld 32. Just kidding, Len Wiseman is directing this one too. Wait. Ahhh! From Deadline:

She?s made quite a name for herself over the years, and Kate Beckinsale just received a big offer from the folks in charge of the ?Total Recall? remake.
According to a report, the ?Serendipity? actress was tapped to play a female lead role in the flick, alongside the hunky Colin Farrell.
Additionally, Kate is married to the film?s director Len Wiseman, which likely gave her favored actress status in the casting process.
Currently, Ms. Beckinsale is shooting ?Underworld 4: New Dawn,? and nothing has been finalized with the ?Total Recall? gig.

Getting to work on her latest project, Kate Beckinsale took to the set of ?Underworld 4: New Dawn? in Vancouver, Canada on Tuesday (March 15).
The paparazzi caught up to the beautiful brunette - who offered a first look in full wardrobe consisting of a leather catsuit, knee-high boots and long grey coat.
In the film, which is set to hit theaters on January 20, 2012, Kate reprises her role as Selene - who is described as "a gorgeous vampire with a vendetta against werewolves."
Filming started last month and during her time-off, Beckinsale jets back to Los Angeles to spend time with her daughter Lily Mo, 12, along with husband and former "Underworld" director, Len Wiseman.

Always looking picture perfect, Kate Beckinsale was spotted arriving at the airport in Vancouver, Canada over the weekend.
Joined by her assistant, the beautiful brunette was clad in black leather pants and a white trench coat as she made her way through the crowded north of the border terminal.
As for the reason behind the trip, Kate is in Vancouver for the filming of ?Underworld 4: New Dawn" - in which she co-stars alongside ?The L Word? actress Sandrine Holt and ?Smallville? actor Robert Lawrenson.
The highly-anticipated action/fantasy/horror flick is set for release on January 20, 2012.
