Cameron Diaz covers the May issue of InStyle to promote her horrific looking What to Expect When You’re Expecting movie, which will probably do well simply because everyone who’s ever had a baby has read that book, and surely at least several million of them will be interested enough to disregard the trailer and catch a matinee. So once again, a crappy movie will do well, but at least it’s a crappy movie geared towards women, which balances out the fact that countless crappy movies geared towards men do well all the time at the box office. (So there.) The InStyle photoshoot is rather undershelming even though Cami’s figure does look rather striking in this green dress. Here are some interview excerpts as well:
On fashion: “Couture really is an art form. I’m not trying to fit into anyone?s box about how I should be. I just fit in my own box.”
On her love life: “I would never have guessed that I would end up dating any of the guys I’ve dated–never! There’s no through-line between them. But I love love, and love comes from many different places. When I was going through a bit of a heartbreak a little while ago, I said to a friend, ‘Wow, this really hurts!’ And he said to me, ‘That just shows you what your capacity for loving is.’ I would rather have my heart broken a thousand times than never to love at all. I have so much love to give–I’m not empty of love, I’m full of love.”
On life: “I’m living my life as a journey. My quest is to make it better every year.”
On friends: “Good friendship is basic: Be good to one another, be thoughtful, enrich one another’s lives. I learn so much from my girlfriends, and I love it.”
On movies: “What I love about movies is how many people they can reach. I don’t make a movie because I think, This is something I want to say. I just want people to laugh, to cry, to feel.”
Will she have kids? “Society definitely puts pressure on women to make them think their lives should go a certain way. I’ve never said I don’t want children–I just haven?t had children yet. I don’t know what?s going to happen in my life!”

So does anyone have ideas on who broke Cami’s heart? I’m thinking it simply has to be A-Rod, especially since she went to all the trouble to get those bolt-ons he always wanted. Man, I’d be pissed if I got bolt-ons to please a dude only to get dumped. What a douche, that A-Rod.
On the topic of having children, I think Cami dodged that bullet well. While I generally have always figured that she’s a very free spirit and probably will never settle down and spawn a family of her own, she’s walking a very fine line while promoting a movie about pregnancy. While it would’ve been nice to see her pull a Zooey Deschanel and outright admit that she doesn’t plan on having kids, I can see why Cameron would decide not to take that verbal path while pimping this particular film. After all, she plays the role of a very pregnant woman, and the last thing the studio wants is for a lead actress to alienate a prospective audience. So Cami gets a pass here … even though we all know she’s full of crap with that answer.

Jetting off for a much deserved break, Cameron Diaz was spotted arriving in Kauai, Hawaii on Saturday (April 7) for the holiday weekend.
The "What Happens In Vegas" starlet looked effortlessly chic wearing flip flops, skinny jeans and a white blazer while toting her own luggage around.
The Easter weekend relaxation comes just a montht before the release of Miss Diaz's newest film, "What To Expect When You're Expecting."
The comedy takes a look at five different couples who are all going through the ups and downs of having a baby and end up coming to the same conclusion - no matter what you plan for, life doesn't always work out the way you expected.
The Kirk Jones directed film also stars other A-listers including Jennifer Lopez, Dennis Quaid and Elizabeth Banks and is set to hit theaters on May 18.

She?s always on the go, and yesterday (March 8) Cameron Diaz was spotted arriving at LAX International Airport.
The ?Sweetest Thing? actress looked cool and casual in a light grey t-shirt with a matching scarf and black jeans as she wheeled her massive luggage cart out to the car.
Cameron?s forthcoming flick ?What to Expect When You?re Expecting? recently released a trailer tailored specifically for the male audience.
The clip showcases the film?s Dude Group, a gathering of fathers including Rob Huebel, Amir Tali, Thomas Lennon, Ben Falcone and Chris Rock.

Adding to her already impressive resume, Cameron Diaz has been selected for yet another gig - celebrity ambassador for Tag Heuer's new Link Lady watch campaign.
Having inked a three-year deal with the brand, the "Bad Teacher" actress debuted her duties as spokesperson in Switzerland just a few days ago.
White chatting about her new venture, Miss Diaz told press, "The Link Lady is modern, sexy and elegant and I'm equally comfortable wearing it on the red carpet or in my day-to-day life. The first watch I bought was a Tag Heuer at 18."
In addition to fronting the collection, Cameron's celebrity will be used to help raise awareness for UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.

In past interviews, Cameron Diaz has always sounded so Zen about aging. Especially after her father died several years ago, Cameron always sounded content with her life, comfortable in her own skin, the perpetual sun-kissed, easy-going California Girl. And then Alex Rodriguez happened. And everything went to sh-t. Camy bulked up like a ?roid monster, she started acting like A-Rod was the best thing that ever happened to her, and her face? well, her face has never been the same. Sometimes she looks almost normal, but most of the time she looks jacked, waxy, Botoxy, and full of fillers. Oh, and post-A-Rod, she also got herself a set of bolt-ons, just like A-Rod always wanted. The whole Camy situation is a hot mess.
I bring this up because this little In Touch story made me sad. I?m sad because I believe it. I?m sad because this is Hollywood – even Cameron Diaz, once the highest-paid woman in the industry, is being told (in so many words) that she?s too old to play ?The Girl?. The problem is that Camy still thinks she?s up for all of The Girl parts.
Cameron Diaz doesn?t want to act to her age: although the actress is turning the big 4-0 in August, she wants to remain in her dirty 30s on-screen.
?She won?t read scripts if the character is 40,? an insider tells In Touch. ?Her team asks that the age be changed in the script for Cameron to read for the part.?

I mentioned in another post that I recently saw Bad Teacher – I actually liked it. I liked her in that role of a 30-something, drunk, pothead teacher who is terrible at her job. Camy is a gifted comedienne, an underrated actress and for the past decade, she?s gotten the first look at some of the best scripts. To give Cameron some credit – some of her career choices indicate that she is interested in branching out beyond comedies, beyond playing ?The Girl?. But given her relatively new ?makeover? and what it says about her (insecure?), it feels like Camy is in for a rough couple of years as she makes the transition from lead actress to character actress.
Speaking of, have you seen the trailers for What To Expect When You?re Expecting? I?m embarrassed for everyone involved.

Don?t hate me, but I thought Cameron Diaz looked pretty good? for her. Like, I have a long memory of how many times I feel like Cameron has looked like ten kinds of busted hell on some major red carpets, and I don?t think this was one of them. For the Oscars, Camy wore this neutral Gucci with some sparkles and feathers on the skirt. On TV, it looked beigey-tan, but in these photos, it seems more ?cream.? I don?t know. Was this the best choice? No. But it didn?t suck either. Her face moved, her hair was simple and California-girl, her tan looked good, her makeup was understated, and the dress was flattering. All in all, it was one of her best public outings in a while, I thought. I wasn?t crazy about her presenting thing with Jennifer Lopez for Best Costume, but it didn?t offend me either.
Sidenote: did you notice how Camy and P. Diddy were seated very close to each other? He was one row back, a few seats over. Close enough to whisper to each other. I?m worried that Camy is going to take her ?breezy hookup? guy and try to make him her ?official boyfriend.? Camy could do better. Ugh.
And here?s Camy?s post-Oscar look – this is what she wore to the Vanity Fair party. As soon as I saw that exposed zipper detail on the back, I knew it was a Victoria Beckham gown. I don?t hate the zipper, I don?t hate the dress, I don?t hate the fit. I do hate the bright orange though. She looks like a traffic cone. Ugh.

She?s always up for a good time, and earlier tonight (February 26) Cameron Diaz was spotted making her big arrival at the 84th Academy Awards.
The ?There?s Something About Mary? actress showed up at the Kodak Theatre dressed in a curve-hugging Gucci creation with a heavy, flared train as she hobnobbed with fellow celebs and posed for pictures.
As for the night?s nominees, ?Hugo? is up for 11 Oscars, while ?The Artist? has 10 nods, ?Moneyball? and ?War Horse? both scored 6 nominations, and ?The Descendants? and ?The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? each have 5 chances for greatness.
The 84th Academy Awards will be hosted by past favorite Billy Crystal and will celebrate the best and brightest in the movie industry.

Stepping out for her third day of fashionable festivities in the City of Lights, Cameron Diaz closed out her Wednesday (January 25) with a nighttime Paris Fashion Week runway show.
The "Knight & Day" darling dazzled in a white lacy cutout frock as she took to the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild for the Valentino Spring/Summer 2012 Haute-Couture catwalk display.
Earlier in the week, Miss Diaz took in the Armani Prive PFW showcase, at which she was asked whether anything caught her eye in terms of a possible Oscars red carpet dress.
To this, the 39-year-old replied, "You know, on paper, a dress with scales doesn?t sound so good. But Mr Armani made it work. It was chic but also amazingly avant garde. Nothing is obvious but it makes a major statement: that?s the beauty of couture."

39-year-old Cameron Diaz was photographed at the Chanel couture show in Paris this week with a suspiciously shiny and kettle-drum-like face. The Daily Mail says:
[Diaz] may have succumbed to a cosmetic procedure or two… [it appears] the star may have had Botox and chemical peels to achieve her wrinkle-free look.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn [said] ?There’s something about Cameron Diaz’ face that is very unusual. Her forehead is excessively smooth, a possible consequence of overdone Botox injections. Her face also looks extremely shiny.?
This is why you wear sunscreen, ladies. And also why you don’t take male sex hormones you buy off the internet. If her pores were any bigger, sturgeons could probably spawn in them.
