Carrie Underwood is the April cover girl for Allure Magazine (slideshow here). Personally, I?m not a huge fan of Carrie, but I don?t hate her either. I kind of respect her bitchiness about Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson, and I like that she?s not out there every week talking about her fiance Mike Fisher. So, I see that there are good things about her, and I do think she?s pretty, although she?s pretty in a very ?Mall Girls of the Deep South? kind of way. Like she?s runner-up at an Alabama county beauty pageant. That describes her style too - mall girl, beauty pageant, nothing of real fashion substance. But she strives to seem grounded, and it works on her:
When asked about the engagement ring that Ottawa Senators center Mike Fisher put on her finger last December, Carrie Underwood tells the latest issue of Allure Magazine the he “could’ve put a twisty-tie on my finger and that would’ve worked.”
In the issue, she also talks about her time on “American Idol” and the resulting fame; and she recently revealed that she gets offered alot of movie roles, but isn’t in any rush to cross over to acting.
“I get scripts in all the time,” she says. “It would really have to be the right thing. I’m not going to kid myself and pretend that I’m an actress, because I’m not, but if something ever came up that was just fun, something that it would be fun to look on when I’m older, I’d be into that.”
Despite her comment, Carrie recently made her acting debut on TV sitcom “How I Met Your Mother”.

Also, when Carrie talks about her most famous song, ?Before He Cheats? she tells the magazine about her current happiness in her relationship, and how it affected her song writing, saying: ?I think it?s a good thing. I have more happy songs. I?ve never really done a love song, I realized, until this album?. I don?t do feelings. I?m not a mushy person.? I could see that about her, that she?s not a ?mushy? person. She?d just as soon shank her boyfriend as tell him ?I love you.? Just my take!

She’s celebrating her 27th birthday today (March 10) and Carrie Underwood has a lot to be grateful for this year.
Having sold over 1.3 million copies of her new album Play On, the “Jesus Take the Wheel” songstress is pumped about her new tour and says she’s doing all she can to give her fans their money’s worth.
Carrie explained, “We’re kind of going for broke on this one just because I feel like it’s time. At this point, the only thing it’s about is putting on a great show and we’re going out with that in mind. I definitely think we have delivered.”
“As far as things getting bigger, it’s just that — the stage is bigger, there are more lights, there’s more tricks up our sleeve. We have a lot of moving parts on the stage. I kind of get to fly over the audience. It’s really cool. It’s just a lot of stuff. My band’s great, wardrobe’s great. It’s just more. It’s all of the bells and whistles and sprinkles on the cupcake.”

She’s a busy girl, with a massive tour and tons of promotional duties, but Carrie Underwood says she doesn’t let it hurt her relationship with her NHL hockey-playing fianc Mike Fisher.
The “Jesus, Take the Wheel” songstress recently told press that though she’s usually in a different country than her beau, it all works out.
She explained, “Leave it to me to pick someone in another country to date- and marry! But if it’s worth it, you make it work right?”
She added, “Not being in the same room won’t lessen our relationship. We completely have faith in each other. We make the best of our time when we are together.”

The “American Idol” was busy during the course of the day doing an interview for Entertainment Tonight, flexing her arm to show off her bulging bicep.
As for the film, “Soul Surfer” is an inspirational film about 19-year-old champion surfer Bethany Hamilton, who made headlines when she was attacked by a shark and lost her arm, only to fully recover and return to the sport she loves so much.
Joining the movie’s stars Annasophia Robb and Lorraine Nicholson, Carrie will be playing a character named Sarah Hill, who happens to be a church youth group leader.

The “American Idol” alum hit the beach in a casual-cute ensemble as she eagerly readied to run through the day’s scenes.
As for the film, “Soul Surfer” is an inspirational film about 19-year-old champion surfer Bethany Hamilton, who made headlines when she was attacked by a shark and lost her arm, only to fully recover and return to the sport she loves so much.

Gearing up for this weekend’s football festivities, Carrie Underwood teamed up with Queen Latifah to attend the Super Bowl XLIV Pregame press conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Thursday evening (February 4).
The country singing cutie and her “Mad Money” actress pal joked amongst one another while fielding questions ahead of the big game on Sunday (February 7) between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts.
Meanwhile, Miss Underwood is coming off the big news that she’s landed her first movie role, “Soul Surfer,” but she tells that she plans to do her best to balance work and personal time.
Recently getting engaged to hockey player Mike Fisher, Carrie tells, “I didn’t want to be one of those people who has an amazing career but ends up alone and unhappy. I want to be happy. I want it all.”
