Here is Eva Longoria bringing her lovely smile to another wonderful event for the 2014 Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Representing L’Oreal Paris as the brand’s ambassador, the former “Desperate Housewives” star looked marvelous in a skin-tight white dress and rocked her darling new bangs at the Vue De Monde in Australia.
“I never thought of myself as a sex symbol,” Longoria explained. “I just do the cover of magazines. I think it’s really unfair men or people in the world think you can’t be both?you can’t be a sex symbol and a serious businessperson. Who says I can’t be both?”

Eva Longoria covers the April issue of Hong Kong’s Prestige magazine. This magazine loves her and just used her as a cover girl last year. We haven’t heard much from Eva since she announced a new rich boyfriend (possibly) in the hopes of making George Clooney jealous (he’s not listening). Maxim named her “most sexy” a few months ago. Eva appreciates that title, but she wants us all to know how amazing and well-rounded she is as a woman. She’s every woman. It’s all in her. Eva raves about her four amazing movies and her wonderful production company. These excerpts are so self-aggrandizing but kind of funny too:
She is not only sexy but so amazing: “I never thought of myself as a sex symbol. I just do the cover of magazines. I think it’s really unfair men or people in the world think you can’t be both-you can’t be a sex symbol and a serious businessperson. Who says I can’t be both? Who says I can’t do the cover of Maxim and run a production company? Women are complex. Women are beautiful and intellectual and spiritual and social and entrepreneurial. They’re everything. And I think I’m a great example of that.”
Her master’s degree? Also amazing: “That is finally over. I got my degree last May. I completed it in three years, which is an amazing feat – an amazing accomplishment for me! I had always wanted to go back and get my master?s degree. And the fact that I did it while I was on a hit show and running around the world…I look back and go, ‘What was I thinking?’ When I started it, I didn?t think it through or I probably wouldn?t have done it. Everyone finds reasons not to go back to school. Once I founded my foundation about pursuing higher education, I wanted to be the example of no matter what, you can always go back to school. No matter how old, no matter how busy. I?m such an academic person anyway. I?m super curious about the world, I love learning new things, so it kind of fit in with my personality.”
How does she do it? “You have more time than you think. Everyone thinks, ‘I don’t have enough time.’ There?s a lot of wasted time in your day that you don?t realise. I?ve always utilised my time in the car, I’ve always utilised plane rides to catch up on my reading and return emails. I’ve always taken advantage of every single hour of the 24-hour day. I always mix business and pleasure. I went to Paris to shoot for L’Oreal, but of course while I was there I wanted to go to the Louvre. And I was in Mexico at a conference but while I was there I found time to go to the beach. I love cooking. I just flew in yesterday from Mexico City. I ran to two meetings and a conference call in the car – and another conference call while I was grocery shopping – so that I could relax and cook dinner for my family and friends. That to me is just so relaxing.”
She even takes time to tweet! “I obviously don?t answer every tweet. But I tweet, I do it all. It?s a very interesting process. Actually, the airplane pillow that Brookstone used to make – my favourite airplane pillow – I tweeted Brookstone and I said, ‘Pleeeeeease make this pillow again!’ And they reached out to me. That?s how many people retweeted my tweet to Brookstone and they reached out to me and said, ‘We’d love to make it again.’ [laughs] It?s definitely an effective tool to get messages out, specifically with my philanthropy and my activism.”

I read that Eva’s master’s degree is in Chicano studies. Good for her for going back to school, but the way she talks about it is so James Franco. Eva also tries very hard to sound very smart with her vocabulary. I get accused of that sometimes. My problem is that I fall into wordy, nonsensical rants when I get sleepy. It is a problem, and I try to watch it (coffee helps so much). Yet Eva fully means to say stuff like “founded my foundation” and “I?ve always utilised my time in the car, I’ve always utilised plane rides to catch up on my reading and return emails.” Never say “utilized.” That makes you sound like a tool. Always say “used” instead.

Making sure she gets in her weekly salon stop, Eva Longoria headed out in Hollywood on Monday (February 17).
The "Desperate Housewives" star looked cute in a white top, black blazer, and black pants with her blue flip-flops as she made her way back to her vehicle.
Last week, the 38-year-old actress made a style change just in time for Valentine's Day, sharing the big news with her Twitter followers.
On Friday, Eva shared a photo of herself in the hairdresser's chair looking frightened with the caption, "Got a new haircut yesterday by @kenpaves Bangs!!!"

They?ve been dating for approximately four months and Eva Longoria and Jose Antonio Baston couldn?t be happier together.
The ?Over Her Dead Body? actress and her handsome beau showed up at Shutters restaurant in Santa Monica on Sunday (February 16) for a leisurely brunch with a few friends.
While Eva has a successful acting career and restaurant portfolio, Jose has done alright for himself as well- he?s the president of Televisa, Latin America?s largest media company.
Back in November, an inside source first confirmed the relationship, telling press, ?They have been seeing each other for a few weeks. He's super sweet to her and a complete gentleman.?

At 38-years-old, Eva Longoria was named Maxim’s Woman of the Year. Eva Longoria. I’ve heard more buzz about the inside of Jessica Simpson’s rectum than Eva Longoria last year. I don’t know how she even made it on the list of nominees. Did someone leave the backdoor open again? I’m so confused. What decade is this? It says 2014 on the cover, but I swear they mean 2004.

Close beside her was Jose Antonio Baston, who is the president of the Latin American media company, Televisa.

Stepping out for media duties, Eva Longoria stopped by "The Katie Couric Show" in New York City on Tuesday (December 10).
Despite the snowy weather, the former "Desperate Housewives" star was all-smile as she made her way to the studio.
Recently, Eva wrapped up production of her upcoming film "Any Day." Per the synopsis, "an ex-fighter Vian is transformed by the love and forgiveness he experiences through his 11-year-old nephew Jimmy."
Starring alongside Miss Longoria are Kate Walsh and Sean Bean. The drama is slated to hit theaters in 2014.

Eva Longoria broke up with her last boyfriend of a whole four months around the end of August. Eva’s most recent ex was a reality show contestant who was over four million in debt. Eva may have wised up that the guy was using her for money and fame, although reports of the split claimed that “they?re just on hold right now.” To me that’s evidence that she was keeping her options open because she can’t stand to be single at all. There’s nothing wrong with playing the field and dating, but Eva comes across as a serial dater.
To complicate matters, Eva was said to be hooking up with George Clooney on the downlow this summer. Clooney predictably didn’t take it further with Eva, since she’s too high profile for him. So what’s going on with Eva now? She found another guy, a very accomplished one, and just announced that they’re dating. If you go by her official story, she just announced her last breakup less than three months ago and she thinks she’s serious enough with the next guy to announce that too.
Before we quote People here, it’s worth noting that E! claimed that Eva was seen making out at a restaurant in NY, Serafina, with another ex boyfriend, Eduardo Cruz, just three weeks ago. People notes that Eva was in NY at that time with her new guy, Televisa president Jose “Pepe” Antonio Baston. E!’s earlier story was probably a case of mistaken identity:
After several weeks of keeping her new romance under wraps, Eva Longoria stepped out over the weekend with the new man in her life, Jose “Pepe” Antonio Baston.
“He’s been sweeping her off her feet and courting her like a proper gentleman,” a source tells PEOPLE of Baston, 45, the president of Televisa, the largest media company in Latin America. On Friday, he escorted the actress/producer, 38, to the Museo Jumex Opening dinner at Case De La Bola in Mexico City, Mexico.
Cameras flashed incessantly as the wealthy businessman and the former Desperate Housewives star made their way down their first red carpet together.
Last month, Longoria and Baston dined at New York’s Serafina restaurant. A source told PEOPLE at the time that the Longoria was “very happy” with the budding relationship and that Baston was “crazy about her.”

So Eva has a new boyfriend, and he’s accomplished and rich in his own right. Here’s a headshot of the guy. Hot! He’s been named one of the most influential people in Mexico. Eva traded up from that reality show leech she was dating before, and arguably from Ernesto Cruz, her previous long term relationship. It still seems too early to announce the relationship, and like she’s tempting fate. Sure things are fun and romantic and it’s all butterflies now, but wait a bit. Don’t invite the press in until you’re sure of things. To Eva, a few weeks probably seems like forever though.
