Taking her latest flick to the City of Lights, Scarlett Johansson attended the "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" premiere at Le Grand Rex on Monday (March 17).
The engaged actress looked hot in a black top, red jacket, and slim red pants as she walked the red carpet in heels and kept her budding baby bump under wraps.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the "Her" star recently opened up about the allegations regarding director Woody Allen by his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow.
Noting that Dylan's mentioning of her name in the New York Times article was "irresponsible," Scarlett shares, "I don't know anything about it. It would be ridiculous for me to make any kind of assumption one way or the other. I'm unaware that there's been a backlash. I think he'll continue to know what he knows about the situation, and I'm sure the other people involved have their own experience with it. It's not like this is somebody that's been prosecuted and found guilty of something, and you can then go, 'I don't support this lifestyle or whatever.' I mean, it's all guesswork."

Scarlett Johansson is promoting her alien-seductress movie, Under the Skin, at the same time as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, a confluence of promotional tours which I?m sure upsets Marvel. Also upsetting Marvel, I?m guessing? The fact that ScarJo can?t give an interview without making news on various divisive, controversial and politically sensitive issues. Scarlett is still getting SodaStream questions? even though she?s been very clear that she has no regrets about withdrawing from Oxfam in support of SodaStream and their West Bank factory. And in her new interview with The Guardian, she defends them even further. And she goes on the record (in the worst way) about her friend Woody Allen, who directed her in films like Vicky Christina Barcelona and Match Point. You can read the Guardian piece here. Let me excerpt the Woody Allen stuff first, and here it is in context:
Last month Dylan Farrow, Allen’s estranged daughter, published an open letter in which she accused him of abusing her and condemned the film industry’s silence on the matter. In it, she pointed a finger at actors who have worked with Allen, including Johansson. It must have been a very uncomfortable experience being named in the letter, I say. How did you respond to it? “I think it’s irresponsible to take a bunch of actors that will have a Google alert on and to suddenly throw their name into a situation that none of us could possibly knowingly comment on. That just feels irresponsible to me.”
And what has she made about the backlash against Allen? “I’m unaware that there’s been a backlash. I think he’ll continue to know what he knows about the situation, and I’m sure the other people involved have their own experience with it. It’s not like this is somebody that’s been prosecuted and found guilty of something, and you can then go, ‘I don’t support this lifestyle or whatever.’ I mean, it’s all guesswork.”
So, has it had an impact on her relationship or affection for him? “I don’t know anything about it. It would be ridiculous for me to make any kind of assumption one way or the other. “

So? Scarlett says Dylan is irresponsible for naming her and other actors for working with Woody. And Scarlett sounds like she completely doubts Dylan?s story. While I think ?irresponsible? is the wrong word to use, I do think that Dylan Farrow put dozens of actors (who have worked with Woody) in very awkward positions. Do they comment either way? Do they defend their director or do they malign him on Dylan Farrow?s say-so?
As for the Oxfam/SodaStream controversy? I don?t know, I can still see where she?s coming from. I know that?s not a popular opinion and like 90% of you think Scarlett is an idiot for choosing her SodaStream contract over her Oxfam work, but Scarlett has her reasons:
Was the whole thing just a bit of a mistake? But she shakes her head. “No, I stand behind that decision. I was aware of that particular factory before I signed it.” Really? “Yes, and? it still doesn’t seem like a problem. Until someone has a solution to the closing of that factory to leaving all those people destitute, that doesn’t seem like the solution to the problem.”
But the international community says that the settlements are illegal and shouldn’t be there. “I think that’s something that’s very easily debatable. In that case, I was literally plunged into a conversation that’s way grander and larger than this one particular issue. And there’s no right side or wrong side leaning on this issue.”
Except, there’s a lot of unanimity, actually, I say, about the settlements on the West Bank. “I think in the UK there is,” she says. “That’s one thing I’ve realised? I’m coming into this as someone who sees that factory as a model for some sort of movement forward in a seemingly impossible situation.”
Well, not just the UK. There’s also the small matter of the UN security council, the UN general assembly, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Court of Justice? which all agree that they’re in contravention of international law. Half of me admires Johansson for sticking to her guns ? her mother is Jewish and she obviously has strong opinions about Israel and its policies. Half of me thinks she’s hopelessly naive. Or, most likely, poorly advised. Of all the conflicts in all the world to plant yourself in the middle of?
“When I say a mistake,” I say, “I mean partly because people saw you making a choice between Oxfam ? a charity that is out to alleviate global poverty ? and accepting a lot of money to advertise a product for a commercial company. For a lot of people, that’s like making a choice between charity ? good ? and lots of money ? greed.”
“Sure I think that’s the way you can look at it. But I also think for a non-governmental organisation to be supporting something that’s supporting a political cause? there’s something that feels not right about that to me. There’s plenty of evidence that Oxfam does support and has funded a BDS [boycott, divest, sanctions] movement in the past. It’s something that can’t really be denied.” When I contacted Oxfam, it denied this.

Yeah, I?m still on Team ScarJo here. Flame on! I?m defending her. I don?t think her decision was about greed at all. I think she believes in SodaStream, she was aware of the West Bank factory and she?s okay with it. And it feels like people are pissed off at her for not being able to solve the Israeli/Palestinian issue in a month. She?s right ? if she had withdrawn from SodaStream, would that have changed anything in the West Bank? No. Is SodaStream going to close down that factory any time soon? Probably not, and that has nothing to do with Scarlett and everything to do with the company being loyal to their long-time employees.

I may have failed to mention this, but Scarlett Johansson is pregnant. I know. Isn’t that awful? Get ready to watch a parasite grow in her for the next 8 months distorting her body like a Picasso and then tear through her vagina like a destroyer of worlds. On the bright side, her tits are going to be huge. Here she is at the premiere of Captain America: Winter Soldier. This will be how I choose to remember her.

I know how Scarlett Johansson and Marvel are going to cheat their way through the Avengers sequel filming! They?re just going to make Black Widow all about ScarJo?s magnificent rack. That?s a pregnancy bounty that Marvel wasn?t counting on, and I?m sure they?ll put it to great use. Anyway, these are photos from last night?s LA premiere of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Bedhead will do the boys from the premiere later on). ScarJo wore this Armani Prive Spring 2009 ensemble which is super-flattering. Unless I was really looking for it, I would not have noticed her tiny little baby bump (or what most of us call ?a normal stomach?). ScarJo looks very pretty here ? I like her styling, the Armani is flattering, her hair looks good. The only bad thing I can say is that she looks exhausted. I hope she gets a nap soon.
As for The Avengers: Age of Ultron and the rumors that ScarJo?s bump will disrupt the film schedule, at yesterday?s press conference, she said:
?Everything for “Avengers 2? — we’re full steam ahead. We start shooting in three weeks and I’m stunt training and we’re good to go. You know, I think it’s something that is [laughing] hard to talk about, exactly. You know, trying to skirt around your question exactly [laughs] — and, you know, doing a poor job of it. But, you know, like I said, everything is exactly on schedule [...] [Laughs] Everything is going just fine. The Black Widow always wins and will continue to.?

Yep. Marvel is just going to film her from the boobs up. They might not even show her face! This really is the ultimate bad news/good news for Marvel. Bad news: they have to hire a body double to do most of the stunt work. Good news: the close-ups of ScarJo and her breast bounty are going to be epic. Also: I’m including a close-up of Scarlett’s engagement ring. Very deco.

This doesn?t seem like much, but I thought you?d be interested in a few pieces of news about Scarlett Johansson?s pregnancy, or as my mother called it, ?Your move, Blake Lively.? Scarlett?s pregnancy was confirmed a week ago, and E! News was the first to report it. E! claimed that Scarlett might be about five months along, which I didn?t believe. Now Us Weekly is saying that Scarlett is four months along (eh, I?ll buy it? for now) and oh by the way, this pregnancy was a ?surprise?. Ya think? No judgment or anything, things happen and sometimes pregnancies just happen and they?re a surprise and it?s all good. Here?s more:
ScarJo’s surprise! Pregnant Scarlett Johansson has had a whirlwind couple of months, adding both “fiancee” and “mother-to-be” to her resume. But an insider tells Us Weekly that the Her actress has actually known about her pregnancy for quite some time now.
“She’s about four months along,” a source tells Us of Johansson. “The baby was a welcome surprise!”
The 29-year-old actress and her French journalist beau Romain Dauriac, 32, began dating in November 2012, and confirmed their engagement last September. On March 3, Us confirmed the couple are expecting their first child.
“She’s just excited to share the news!” a pal adds.
Johansson will continue to shoot in Avengers: Age of Ultron — reprising her role as Black Widow — but not without a few changes to accommodate her surprise pregnancy. “They’re tweaking filming,” the insider adds.

Yes, I bet Marvel is in full ?Tweak Mode?. As I said last week, I bet all of the CGI nerds in all the land are preparing to go Full Tweak to fix Scarlett?s bump area in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. And that?s why I think the ?surprise? part is right ? Scarlett wouldn?t have been trying to get pregnant if she knew she had to film some intensive action sequences in the coming months. So, a surprise baby it is. Let?s hope Marvel doesn?t recast her.
Scarlett also has a new interview with The Telegraph, which you can read here. A lot of it is just the same old stuff ? she doesn?t mention her pregnancy at all, which makes me wonder if this interview was conducted a few weeks before it was published. She does talk about the SodaStream controversy, and she?s still defending her work with them despite the fact that they have a factory in the West Bank:
?I?m not an expert on the history of this conflict, and I?ve never professed to be. But it is a company that I believe in, that I think has the ability to make a huge difference, environmentally. [SodaStream?s CEO] Daniel Birnbaum has said many times that this factory is one he inherited, and that he doesn?t want to fire people ? the majority of those people being Palestinian.?

She was also asked about working with the sausage party at Marvel and what it?s like to be the only woman in the group of Avengers, and she scoffed at the idea that those dudes are hyper-masculine, saying: ?You?re also talking about a bunch of actors, so they?re not particularly masculine. They are in public of course, but really actors are sensitive, neurotic, self-doubt-filled and needy. Men and women alike, we?re all big babies!? I think she was talking about Chris Evans. That sounds like Chris. Speaking of, there?s a new clip for Captain America: The Winter Soldier with lots of ScarJo.

I don?t really care for the way some sites are throwing Scarlett Johansson?s old interviews in her face. She said in 2012, ?I’m not having kids anytime soon, I’m in a nice relationship, I’m working a lot, and, like I said, it’s not important to me.? OMG, burn her! I mean? that was then. Situations change. It?s not even like Scarlett has an Aniston-like history of baby-baiting her fanbase. Scarlett has never gushed over how she couldn?t wait to have babies or babies were going to happen sometime soon and babies babies babies. She never had to sell that side of herself, even though she?s gotten just as many questions about babies as any other female celebrity. Is it so hard to believe that Scarlett just fell in love and got pregnant? I?m not a ScarJo apologist or anything, but I don?t get why people are branding her a liar for this.
Now, what does concern me a little bit is that Scarlett?s bump might singlehandedly derail filming on The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Us Weekly has already said that ScarJo is five months along? which I personally don?t believe. The photos in this post are from this past weekend, and she is NOT five months along. I know every woman carries differently, etc. But she?s not five months along. She?s probably ? at most ? just out of her first trimester. So what will happen with Black Widow?s catsuit? Will they have to put in some stretchy maternity panels? Will Black Widow?s special power be ?sitting down with her feet up as Tony Stark brings her some tea??
E! News exclusively revealed that Scarlett Johansson is expecting her first child with fianc Romain Dauriac, and while we’re ecstatic for the actress and her soon-to-be hubby, we couldn’t help but wonder what this means for her future projects.
The pregnant star, who E! News has learned is due in August, is currently gearing up for her promotional tour for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and once that’s done, Scarlett is scheduled to begin shooting Avengers 2.
And, well, it’ll be pretty hard to hide a growing baby bump under that tight, black catsuit. So what’s going to happen?
A source tells E! News that shooting for the superhero sequel will need a bit of rearranging.
“They’re going to fast-track her scenes,” the insider tells us.
Johansson is scheduled to begin shooting Avengers 2 overseas on April 5, after her promotional tour for Captain America is complete. The studio wouldn’t comment about her having to reschedule filming.
The pregnancy news comes just six months after it was announced that the Oscar-nominated actress is planning to tie the knot with her French journalist beau. E! News confirmed the couple was engaged in September after ScarJo flashed her vintage Art Deco ring on that finger at the Venice Film Festival, with her rep adding that the lovebirds are “very happy.”
The expectant couple went public with their relationship in November 2012, not long after Johansson ended a roughly year-long romance with Nate Naylor.

It would be funny and sad if producers were like, ?Eh, just recast it,? like they did when Terrence Howard wanted more money. No, I?m just kidding, they won?t do that. They?ll make her a special catsuit with stretchy panels and in lieu of filming her entire body, there will be lots of closeups of Scarlett from the boobs up. Her boobs really are going to look great, so maybe producers are like, ?Hey, this isn?t ALL bad news.? And when all else fails, they?ll just use CGI, Photoshop and all of the geeks in the land to make Scarlett?s waist look like this.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Scarlett Johansson is expecting her first child. She and her French journalist fiance, Romain Dauriac, got engaged in September but she’s said she isn’t in a rush to get married telling reporters, “I’m not doing any wedding planning.” She did mention, however, that she wanted a family.
I tried to see if I could spot a baby bump in pictures of Scarlett Johansson from the Oscars, but she was wearing this suit type thing which made it extremely difficult. So I gave up and went back to staring at those leaked nudes of her.
