Looking just about ready to pop, a very pregnant Anna Paquin headed out in Los Angeles, CA this morning (August 27th).
The mommy-to-be wore a bright yellow maternity dress with a gray jacket, tan flats, and a matching tan handbag.
A double dose of joy is on the way as the "True Blood" star is expecting twins with husband and co-star Stephen Moyer.
In a recent interview with Redbook, the 30-year-old actress hesitated to get in-depth about her growing family. ?I honestly don?t know why it?s such big news when an actress gets pregnant," she claimed.
The cautious Canadian star continued, ?Obviously we?re incredibly excited, but we?re still feeling a little protective over the whole thing. Something could happen, you know??

Showing off her growing bump, Anna Paquin was spotted out walking her adorable pooch in Venice on Friday (August 24).
The 30-year-old beauty donned a flower-print dress, which she accessorized with a dark blue cardigan, oversized sunglasses and black ankle booties.
The ?True Blood? star and her hubby Stephen Moyer just celebrated their eight anniversary and will have even more to celebrate once their twins arrive.
The 42-year-old recently dished about his current family, saying, ?I love my kids beyond anything. They're the best things ever, and having two more is just going to be even more crazy [and] cool!?

Doubling their delight, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer have announced that they?ll be welcoming not one, but two babies this fall.
The ?True Blood? costars/real-life spouses shared the news with their cast mates, and Sam Trammell (who has twins himself) was overjoyed.
Trammell shared, ?I?m so excited for them. We sent them a special gift. It?s so interesting that True Blood has become, like, the ?twins? show.?
"It's harder, having twins, but it's all we know. So we're trying to impart some decent wisdom. I told them to hold on tight!" he added.
Back in May, Stephen told press he can?t wait for the due date. "It's always amazing. I love my kids so much. And I think that the fact that Anna is pregnant just adds more crazy to the bundle of fun."

Satisfying their sweet tooth, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were spotted picking up some frozen yogurt at Pinkberry in Los Angeles today (June 19).
The ?True Blood? stars/real-life spouses looked pleased as the snacked on the healthy treat, with Anna eating for two and showing off her baby bump.
In a recent interview, Ms. Paquin told press that despite the Hollywood obsession with appearance perfection, she embraces her unique smile.
"I think anyone is as critical as they have the energy to self-obsess, but I also know as an actress you are more limited if you interfere with your looks. If you have a whole bunch of work done with your teeth and your face and your boobs, then you?re only going to play modern people. That?s a big choice to make. Very limiting.?

The adorable couple looked very happy as the blonde beauty showed off her growing baby bump in a pretty patterned sundress.
In career news, the co-stars are preparing for the premiere of their hit television show ?True Blood,? which airs tonight on HBO.
The highly anticipated season five premiere can be seen at 9 p.m. ET and according to the show?s Kristin Bauer Van Straten, ?In typical True Blood fashion, things may get a little better and then they may get a little worse.?

Stepping out to grab breakfast, Anna Paquin was spotted meeting up with a friend at a restaurant in Venice, California on Friday (June 1).
Hiding her baby bump in a black trench coat, the "True Blood" star made her way to the restaurant in black heels while talking on her cell phone.
Anna is expecting her first child with her 42-year-old husband, Stephen Moyer who co-stars on the HBO show.
Earlier this week the couple was spotted strutting down the red carpet in Los Angeles for the fifth season premiere of the vampire drama, "True Blood" and briefly stopped to talk to reporters about their bundle of joy.
In a form-fitting black Rachel Comey dress, the 29-year-old actress happily admitted, ?I feel fantastic".
The same goes for her husband who has two children from a previous relationship, ?It?s always amazing,? he told The Hollywood Reporter. ?I love my kids so much and that fact that Anna is pregnant just adds more crazy to the bundle of fun.?
The fifth season of "True Blood" kicks off on HBO June 10th.

Anna Paquin and Reese Witherspoon both made their first post-pregnancy event appearances this weekend at the White House Correspondents Dinner. We’ve seen plenty of paparazzi photos of each of them lately, and it was nice to see them looking relaxed and dressed to the nines for an event. They each wore similar black flowing gowns that made it hard to tell that they were pregnant, sadly. I kind of love it when newly-pregnant ladies wear tight dresses and work it, but I also get the urge to not draw attention to yourself. They were dressed appropriately for a semi-formal event like this, and their dresses hit just the right balance of looking semi-formal without seeming too prom-like.
Anna was in an elegant v-neck empire waist Herv L. Leroux gown. It’s hard to tell from this smallish photo, but the dress was actually sheer through the skirt and she had a slip underneath that hit about mid-thigh. Here’s a link to a higher resolution photo of the dress. She looks about four or five months along, although that’s just a guess and it’s hard to tell. Anna, 29, made her pregnancy announcement almost two weeks ago. It will be her first child with her husband and co-star, Stephen Moyer, 42. It will be Moyer’s third child.
Reese wore a more opaque Monique Lhuillier with a complicated tied neckline. I’m not a fan of whatever is going on at the neck with Reese’s gown. It just looks like one of those dresses that you struggle trying to figure out where neck and the arm holes are. I hate those! Still, Reese looks so pretty here and I love her flapper-inspired soft waves and simple drop earrings. She’s stunning. I would have loved to have seen her husband, Jim Toth, on the red carpet but he was probably busy at home watching the kids. Reese, 36, made her non-announcement pregnancy announcement via US Weekly on March 21, when she was reportedly just 12 weeks along. So that would make her a little more than four months pregnant, although I bet she’s a little farther along than that.
Reese went to the White House Correspondent’s dinner Vanity Fair dinner after party where she was seen hugging up on Uggie the dog. I’m jealous!

Taking care of some loose ends, Anna Paquin was spotted out and about in Santa Monica earlier today (April 24).
The ?X-Men? actress hid her budding baby bump beneath a green sweater/jacket, black top, and black trousers as she strolled through a parking lot and hopped into her car.
Anna and her husband Stephen Moyer opted to post their baby-on-the-way news on Paquin?s Twitter page, which set the Twitterverse ablaze with congratulations.
She tweeted, ?Can Stephen and I get a 100 retweets for our first child??? :)?? They?ve been married since 2010.

“True Blood” co-stars and real-life spouses Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer revealed yesterday that she is pregnant. Us Magazine says:
True Blood costars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are expecting their first child together, a rep for Moyer confirms.
This will be Paquin’s first child; Moyer has two children from previous relationships.
Are we sure Stephen Moyer isn’t the one carrying the the child? All the baby weight seems to have gone directly to his forehead.

Anna Paquin just announced that she’s expecting her first child with her husband of almost two years, Stephen Moyer. I know these two have been married for a while, but this announcement surprised me. They just seem like the type of couple who is content without children. Plus they’re often seen out with Moyer’s children. He has a 10 year-old daughter from his last relationship and a 12 year-old son from another relationship. Maybe I’m confusing these two with their True Blood characters, though. Here’s their announcement, which was in Entertainment Weekly.
True Blood costars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are expecting, their reps confirmed to EW today. The pregnancy is Paquin?s first; Moyer, 42, has two children from previous relationships. Paquin, 29, is due this fall. The couple were married in Malibu, Calif., in 2010 after meeting on the set of True Blood ?s pilot season in 2007. Paquin is the second-youngest Oscar winner of all time, taking home the gold man for The Piano when she was just 11.
Paquin and Moyer will return to play Sookie and Bill as True Blood returns for its fifth season on HBO June 10.

Kaiser reminded me about this story from Star in 2009 that claimed that Anna wanted to get pregnant after she first got engaged and that she had “already talked to the producers about working around her if she gets pregnant.” Who knows if that was true back then, though. Stephen also very curtly addressed the issue last year of expanding his family with Anna. He said “We are busy at the moment, but it will happen at some point.”
I like that they went with EW to announce Anna’s pregnancy instead of People or US. It seems more fitting since they don’t court the celebrity press. This has me wondering how far they are in filming this third season of “True Blood” and if producers will have to work around Anna’s pregnancy for the later episodes. I doubt they’ll have a Twilight-style hybrid baby on the show, or even some kind of werewolf offspring. They’ll probably just creatively film it so we don’t see Anna’s midsection. Just two more months until TB premieres!
