Taking advantage of a break in her schedule, Anna Paquin ran a few errands in Los Angeles on Tuesday (April 1).
The ?True Blood? beauty donned a white tank top with a black cardigan and a pencil skirt as she strolled down the busy streets.
In career news, Anna is gearing up for the release of her new film ?X-Men: Days of Future Past.? Per the synopsis, ?The superhero team sends Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.?
Starring alongside Miss Paquin are Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman and Ellen Page. The action-packed film is slated to hit theaters May 23rd.

Giving onlookers a double dose of cuteness, Anna Paquin stepped out with her darling twins on Thursday evening (December 12).
The ?True Blood? babe brought both 15-month olds Charlie and Poppy out in Los Angeles as she enjoyed a relaxing night stroll.
In regards to her hubby?s production of ?The Sound of Music Live,? NBC announced that it plans to re-broadcast the musical on Saturday (December 14).
The special starring Stephen Moyer and Carrie Underwood gained huge ratings for the network, gaining roughly 19 million viewers on the night of its debut last week.

Teaming up for some promotional duties, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer shot an advertisement for Time Warner Cable on Wednesday afternoon (December 11).
The ?True Blood? costars/real-life spouses seemed to be in good spirits, as Paquin donned a pretty blue dress and white cardigan as she held her hubby?s arm.
And while Moyer?s latest project ?The Sound of Music Live? scored a seven-year ratings high for NBC (for a Thursday night, non-sports broadcast), Stephen didn?t exactly win over the critics with his depiction of Captain Von Trapp.
A review from Variety lamented, ?Still, the Maria-Von Trapp relationship has its problematic aspects under the best of circumstances, and Underwood and Moyer didn?t come close to threading that needle. Given the absence of chemistry, one could be forgiven for hoping he?d lapse into True Blood mode and simply bite her neck.?

These are just some photos from the HBO after-Emmys party that we didn’t get to in our fashion coverage yesterday. Most notably we have married couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. I have a hard time separating these two from their True Blood characters. Logically, I can. I mean I know that they’re actors and they have two kids, but they keep their private life on lock down. I know so little about them that I tend to think of them as Sookie and Bill. When I see them together I think “Oh no, this isn’t going to work out. He’s just using her.” Of course I know it’s not true, it’s just a gut reaction I have to these two.
Anyway Anna was wearing Alexander McQueen, one of her go-to designers. She loves severe looks, maybe to keep dimwits like me from associating her with Sookie. I wish she would lighten up a little with her fashion, but that’s her style and she’s sticking to it. She would make a great vampire.
Also there last night were Aaron Paul and his new bride, Lauren Parsekian. I’m kind of bummed that Aaron shaved off his mountain man beard for the occasion. He was kind of badass with it. If you’re like me and can’t get enough of the guy, Buzzfeed has a ton of photos of Aaron being awesome with his Breaking Bad costars at the Emmys.
Here’s Jane Fonda, whom I love. She’s wearing David Meister, a designer who is getting a lot of play on the red carpet lately. Jane looks great. Why is she wearing one glove, though? Did she get that laser hand treatment that’s all the rage?
Patricia Arquette, in a strange two-tone shiny black top and skirt with a giant gold belt. Her styling more than makes up for it. This makes me want to chop off my hair.
Oh and Michelle Dockery switched dresses to this cute retro-looking LBD with a sequin skirt. She looks more relaxed here than she did at the Emmys.

HBO has announced that True Blood’s next season, to air in 2014, will be its last. Many of us suspected this would happen, particularly after the bizarre “fast forward” ending to the sixth season. The popular cable show, based on writer Charlaine Harris’ Southern Vampire Mysteries series of books, has been on the air since 2008. Last year showrunner Alan Ball (American Beauty, Six Feet Under) was replaced by Brian Buckner (Friends, Joey). Buckner will continue as showrunner for the seventh and final season, which will include 10 episodes. I question Buckner’s ability to stay true to the characters, given the recent plot twists and some of the bizarre, out-of-touch answers he gave in a Q&A about the show’s direction. More on that in a moment. First, here’s the announcement.
?True Blood has been nothing short of a defining show for HBO,? said HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo in a statement. ?Alan Ball took the books by Charlaine Harris, assembled a brilliant cast led by the magnificent Anna Paquin in the role of Sookie Stackhouse, and crafted a show that has taken its many devoted fans on an unforgettable journey. Alan passed the baton to Brian Buckner, who led our fantastic writers and crew in crafting a spectacular sixth season, and he will lead us through the seventh and final season of this amazing show. Together with its legions of fans, it will be hard to say goodbye to the residents of Bon Temps, but I look forward to what promises to be a fantastic final chapter of this incredible show.?

This is to be expected, particularly since the show seems to be veering wildly off course lately. About a week after the season six finale aired, current showrunner Buckner did an interview with Entertainment Weekly explaining his vision for True Blood. (We covered this interview at the time but it’s worth mentioning in light of this news.) He seemed to have little understanding of the characters as developed on the show and in Harris’ books.

True Blood has recently painted Bill as a “sympathetic” character, and we saw him extend an olive branch to Sookie. Sookie is now inexplicably in a relationship with meathead werewolf Alcide. Buckner explained that “the audience” felt that “Alcide needed to come back to center” and that he wants the plot to be “more character driven” with characters that change and evolve. Meaning Bill will be a good guy all of a sudden, Tara is going to reconcile with her abusive mom, and we’re supposed to care about Sookie’s relationship with Alcide. Also, spoiler, Eric probably isn’t dead, although that may not have been the plan for him. Buckner said that he was “impressed by how much people care” about Eric, Alexander Skarsgard’s character. So Eric is likely to be saved by Pam.
I guess it’s a good thing that True Blood will be going out to pasture. It just isn’t the same without Alan Ball. I’ll miss it so much, though. The show has had its ups and downs but it’s always been a campy pleasure with some excellent eye candy. Hopefully that won’t change in its final year, not matter what happens to the characters.

Here are some new photos of Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and their children out and about in Venice, California over the weekend. It was only a few weeks ago when we finally learned the names of their 9-month-old twins ? the boy is Charlie (I think Charlie is in his dad?s arms) and the girl is Poppy (carried by Anna). At first I thought Charlie had really dark brown hair, but I guess that was just a shadow. They?re both pretty fair children, maybe Poppy is slightly blonder than her brother. They?re really cute babies. I know all babies are cute, obviously, but we rarely get to see these two babies. In fact, I think this is the first time I?ve really seen their faces. It seems like Charlie takes after his mom and Poppy looks more like Stephen. Maybe that?s just me.
I was going to say that the coordination for this family makes it look like they?re going on vacation or something, but Fame/Flynet says Stephen and Anna just took the babies out to lunch and then they picked up Stephen?s daughter Lilac at the bus station in Tarzana. What was she doing on the bus? I don?t know. I do like that it seems that Stephen does spend a lot of time with his oldest daughter even though he and Lilac?s mum split up a while ago. He seems to strive to be a hands-on dad. And Anna seems to enjoy being a step-mother too, and she does it with very little drama.

Getting in some quality family time, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer stepped out with their twins on Saturday (June 29) in Venice, CA.
The proud parents toted Charlie and Poppy in carriers secured to their chests as they stopped for a bite to eat before heading to the bus station to pick up Moyer?s daughter Lilac.
With season six of the couple?s hit vampire drama ?True Blood? just getting underway, the talented actress recently gave a few hints as to what is in store for her character Sookie.
"I don't think it's giving anything if I say if it involves Sookie, it's always complicated," she teased. "That it's not necessarily going to pan out in a way that's easy, simple or un-traumatizing.
The next episode of ?True Blood,? titled ?You?re No Good,? airs tonight (June 30) at 9/8 central on HBO.

Stepping out for some media duties, Anna Paquin showed up at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood last night (June 20).
The gorgeous blonde starlet was in the house for an interview on ?Jimmy Kimmel Live,? to plug the brand new season of her hit show ?True Blood.?
And while she briefly discussed her twins, Anna seemed to gravitate towards explaining a ?condition? that she definitely suffers from- ?b**chy resting face.?
Paquin noted, ?It looks like you want to kill people or you?re just a giant b**ch and apparently that?s pretty much how I come across. [But] I?m really happy, my life is good.?

I won’t lie, retro waves are a LOT of work, and to do them right you need a solid hour — and that’s not including wash and dry time. It’s not a look that works for every day simply because of the time and effort involved. But it’s great for a red carpet or a fancy date night, and it adds a sophistication and polish to any look.
