PEOPLE just got finished naming Beyonce, a 16-time Grammy winner, actress, style and beauty “icon” and new mother, 2012 World’s Most Beautiful Woman.
The award seems more based on merit and current popularity than anything else. Not that Beyonce isn’t beautiful but given the choice between having sex with Megan Fox and Beyonce and barring the option of doing both at the same time, I’d go with Megan Fox.
The award should be titled, “A-lister with the most publicity generated in the past 4 months.” Though to be fair, that would be a little wordy.

People magazine revealed on the Today Show this morning that Beyonce had been named this year’s “World’s Most Beautiful Woman.” Note they don’t say which world, but it sure as hell isn’t Earth. She’s probably the hottest thing going on Neptune, though. People Magazine says:
“I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” says PEOPLE’s 2012 World’s Most Beautiful Woman. “I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”
Wow, World’s Most Beautiful Woman. That sounds like quite an honor. At least until you realize the competition on the Most Beautiful list included Kathie Lee Gifford and Michelle Obama.

Call me crazy, but I don?t hate this choice! Beyonce has been named People Magazine?s ?Most Beautiful Woman? for 2012. Previous winners include Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Lopez (Most Beautiful in 2011). It?s interesting that People Mag is going back-to-back with women of color, a Latina woman in 2011 and now a African-American woman in 2012. It makes sense to choose Beyonce too – she?s become a mom, she?s trying to be more accessible, and she?s been much more in-our-faces over the past year. She’s an entertainment force of nature, 16-time Grammy winner, and beauty and style icon. But Beyonc is proudest of one title that also happens to be her most recent: mommy to little Blue Ivy Carter.
“I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” says PEOPLE’s 2012 World’s Most Beautiful Woman. “I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”
The “Crazy in Love” singer, 30, and her husband of four years, Jay-Z, 42, have gone gaga for Blue, born Jan. 7 in New York City. “She’s just the cutest thing,” gushes Beyonc, who croons one-of-a-kind tunes to her daughter and professes to “love” changing diapers.
So who does her daughter most resemble? “She looks like Blue,” says Beyonc, who is back to her pre-pregnancy weight and gearing up for her first post-baby concerts, Memorial Day weekend at the Revel Atlantic City. “She’s her own person.”
“The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy,” she adds. “The word ‘love’ means something completely different now.”

While I consider Beyonce to be an incredibly beautiful woman, I have my doubts as to whether she would have been named ?Most Beautiful? if not for the whole ?giving birth? and ?bump shenanigans? stuff. This year?s list also includes Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, Sofia Vergara and Mad Men’s Jessica Par. Oh, and Lily Collins – you have to look at the photo they selected for Lily. It made me laugh a little. Oh, and Duchess Kate is on the list too! Duchess of Curls is one of the ?most beautiful?? Sure.

Sometimes I really do wish that I could just write ?NO COMMENT (on this whole mess)? and be done with it. Star Magazine has a completely hilarious story about Beyonce and Jay-Z and how they?re totally ready to try for a second baby. Because Blue Ivy is only three months old and Bey is really happy with how ?easy? her pregnancy was, and how ?easy? it was to lose the baby weight. Cough. Cough. Mutter. Cough. Something caught in my throat. Truly.
It?s been just three months since Blue Ivy was born, but Beyonce and Jay-Z are already trying for another little one!
?They see no reason to wait,? a source tells Star. ?Beyonce has said giving birth and dropping the baby weight was far easier than she thought. Everyone in their circle is saying that another baby could be on the way before you know it.?
In fact, insiders say that?s the reason behind the couple?s recent romantic getaway to St. Barts. ?It took them awhile to conceive Blue Ivy, so they don?t want to waste another second,? another source adds.
While the megastars long put music first, Blue Ivy has changed their priorities. ?Beyonce and Jay-Z adore being parents, and they?re as hands-on as they possibly can be,? the source says. ?Beyonce has found a passion other than music, and it?s being a mom.?
And since Beyonce?s career is on the back burner right now, ?it?s in the best interests of both of them to have Beyonce pop out another one before she goes back out on tour,? continues the first source. ?If she gets pregnant soon, they will be thrilled. She?ll just extend her break, and next year she?ll have the biggest comeback ever!?

So will Beyonce pull a Tori Spelling and get pregnant again two seconds after giving birth? Does Beyonce really have no huge career moves planned? No and no. There have already been legit media reports about Beyonce plotting her ?comeback? – it involves a $150 million tour, new albums, filming a movie with Clint Eastwood, and much, much more. Now, I?m not saying that Beyonce can?t do all of that with a pillow firmly strapped on while pregnant. She?s already proven how much she can do while pregnant. Cough. But I?m just saying that it?s probably not going to happen right now.

Though we are used to seeing her out now holding her sweet bundle of joy, Beyonce Knowles was spotted out solo in the Big Apple on Wednesday (April 18).
The "Booytlicious" songstress, who was making her way into the Alternative Education Complex, looked stylish as always in a black fedora, fishnet leggings and sneakers as she attempted to make a quick entrance past the mob of shutterbugs.
The solo outing comes just after the Grammy award-winning singer spent some much appreciated family time together with daughter, Blue Ivy, and sister, Solange Knowles.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the 30 year-old always busy new mom and entrepreneur, made a stylish pit stop at Solange's humble abode on Tuesday for some quality sisterly bonding time.

Beyonce left her NYC apartment with her haute couturecamouflagedbaby yesterday. Not everything was hidden though. You could see her kid’s leg hanging out. So at least we have something to scrutinize for 10 hours over. I can’t wait until Us Weekly brings in their body language expert. Judging by the angle the leg is dangling and the slight curvature of the knee, experts agree that she’s being fed the finest Beluga caviar baby food money can buy.

Looking colorful in a bright yellow and black springtime ensemble, Beyonce Knowles took Blue Ivy out for a visit to her sister's place in New York City on Tuesday (April 17).
The "Run the World (Girls)" singer toted her carefully wrapped daughter in her arms as the mother/daughter duo headed into Solange's Big Apple abode for a visit.
The sisterly bonding time comes after Beyonce enjoyed a fun-filled basketball night out over the past weekend.
The 30-year-old joined hubby Jay-Z and Solange's son, Daniel Julez Smith, at the New Jersey Nets vs. Miami Heat game.
Sitting front row at Newark's Prudential Center, the trio watched on as the Heat beat Jay's Nets squad - after which star player LeBron James took off his sneakers and handed them to Daniel in what was quite the exciting moment for the youngster.

Enjoying an evening off from their parental duties, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z were spotted out in New York City last night (April 15).
The ?Empire State of Mind? rapper and his lovely wife hit up the New York Knicks basketball game at Madison Square Garden, watching the home team lose to the Miami Heat, 93-85.
After the game, Beyonce and Jay hit up the swanky eatery Bar Pitti in the downtown area for some delicious dinner.
Last week, Ms. Knowles posted a love letter to First Lady Michelle Obama on her website, stating, ?No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope ? she?s humble, loving, and sincere. Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that u do for us ? I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to.?

These are some new photos of Beyonce and Jay-Z leaving Bar Pitti just before yesterday?s Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks game. I?m also including pics of them leaving Madison Square Garden too. They sat courtside at the game (you can see photos here), and they wore the same outfits you can see here. I don?t really get why Beyonce is trying to make these trashy-looking pants ?happen?. She?s been wearing various pairs of printed pants over the past few months, and they are just not cute. They look comfortable, though, so maybe that?s the appeal. But why would you go out of your way to wear such fug, comfortable pants and then jam your feet into too-small heels? Look at Bey?s toes! Her piggies are trying to escape.
Since you guys seemed to enjoy my mother?s thoughts on the Brangelina engagement, I thought I?d share her thoughts on Beyonce. (My mom and I went to lunch on Saturday, and we talked about celebrities the whole time, pretty much.) My mom had been reading People Magazine or one of those magazines and there was a photo spread about Beyonce losing the weight from her pregnancy. This was my mother: ?That OFFENDS me. The fact that we?re supposed to ?buy? that Beyonce had that baby. We have eyes. She looks exactly the same. She was never pregnant.? Now, my mom is not a conspiracy theorist like me. She doesn?t buy into crazy ?theories? about most celebrities. So it speaks volumes to me that my mom whole-heartedly refuses to accept that Beyonce was ever pregnant.
In other Beyonce news, FLOTUS Michelle Obama responded to Bey?s open letter. Bey posted the letter on her site, telling the world that she thinks Mrs. Obama is ?the ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman.” FLOTUS wrote on her Twitter, ?Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to.? Awkwardly worded. Sounds like something I would write!

Taking care of business with her baby, Beyonce Knowles was spotted walking out of an office building carrying a bundled up Blue Ivy in New York City on Friday night (April 13).
The "Love On Top" singer smiled as she tried to sneak out of the building wearing grey skinny jeans with a grey and yellow sweater, all the while toting her bundle of joy in a multicolored patchwork blanket.
After Beyonce spilled out her love and admiration for First Lady Michelle Obama in a hand written letter, Mrs. Barack Obama has taken the time to thank the beautiful singer.
Taking to Twitter, the First Lady wrote, "@Beyonce Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to." and signed the tweet "-mo" to indicate the tweet came from Mrs. Obama and not re-election campaign staff that usually manage the account.
As for what she wrote, Beyonce started by penning, "Michelle, Is the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African American woman. She is a caring mother, she?s a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the First Lady!!!!?
?No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope ? she?s humble, loving, and sincere. She builds and nurtures her family, while also looking out for so many millions in so many ways,? the new mom continued.
Beyonce closed the praiseful note by writing, ?Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that u do for us ? I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you, to look up to."
