Do NOT fight in front of Beyonce. Do not fight when you?re standing next to Beyonce. There will be no fighting in Beyonce?s presence. Which isn?t the worst rule to have, quite honestly. Beyonce doesn?t need to see that, and no one else does either. But when you?re at a liquor-soaked VMA after-party, isn?t it sort of an obligation that someone, somewhere gets into a fistfight? I think that?s a rule. Well, at this year?s VMAs, it was Diddy and rapper J.Cole who got into it.
Page Six says that Diddy and his girlfriend Cassie were partying in the same room as Beyonce, Leo DiCaprio, Rihanna, Jamie Foxx, Pharrell and Justin Timberlake. At one point, rapper J.Cole came over to Diddy and sources say, ?J. Cole was saying inappropriate things to Sean Combs and his girlfriend, Cassie. Sean immediately pounced. Some pushing and shoving happened. No punches were thrown, but it was a visible disturbance. A few bottles splashed to the floor and some partygoers were knocked over, falling on top of Renee Graziano from ?Mob Wives.? ? The NYDN says Beyonce was ?yelling?:
Beyonc put on quite a show at the VMA after-party Sunday night at the Dream Downtown ? screaming her head off when Diddy started a fight that broke out right next to her.
?Diddy got in a fight with someone partying too close to him and his girlfriend? Cassie, one guest tells Confidenti@l. ?It was mayhem. Beyonc was yelling to stop and Jay Z was separating people and getting people away from Bey.?
Our spy adds that the ruckus escalated, then subsided after about 90 seconds of shoving and bottle-breaking at around 1:30 a.m.
?We were all dancing and the fight breaks out, and it happened so quickly and bottles were crashing everywhere, and everyone was screaming. People got pushed into bottles,? another guest tells us. ?Then Diddy got up, took the mic and said ?It?s all cool! Ya?ll keep having fun! It?s no big deal, it?s over.? ?
Witnessing the brawl were Jamie Foxx, Pharrell, Will.i.am, Russell Simmons and Busta Rhymes, who wisely came with a hulking bodyguard.
Pharrell then made his way next door to No. 8, where he ?arrived with an amazing crew of beautiful people,? a spy says, then had a dance-off with Jennifer Hudson.

I kind of love that Jay-Z?s main concern wasn?t that people were fighting, but that people were fighting AROUND BEYONCE. Beyonce must never be touched! Beyonce must never witness violence! Beyonce is Peace, Love and Empowerment. As for the fight? I don?t know who J.Cole is, but it sounds like he was acting like a douche.

We didn?t cover the Trayvon Martin story, case and verdict for a reason. It?s not that we don?t have thoughts and opinions on the situation, it?s just that A) we really try to stay focused on celebrity, pop culture and entertainment gossip and B) I personally didn?t want to create some kind of forum where everyone starts yelling at each other. I can?t read the comment threads on many sites because the threads upset me too much. This particular situation is extraordinarily painful and sensitive for many people, so just keep that in mind with your comments. I?m not going to go on and on about it, but I?ll just say this: as a half-Indian woman who is often confused for Hispanic and Arab, I have more to fear from an armed wannabe cop than a black kid, you know?
Anyway, these are some photos from the NYC rally in honor of Trayvon. Hundreds of rallies took place across the country this weekend, and this NYC one was co-hosted by Rev. Al Sharpton. Beyonce and Jay-Z came out, but didn?t speak.
A day after Jay Z and Justin Timberlake dedicated the song “Forever Young” to slain teen Trayvon Martin at their July 19 concert at Yankee Stadium, the rapper and his wife, Beyonce, attended a rally to fight for justice in the teen’s honor in New York City on Saturday, July 20.
The rally, which was also attended by Rev. Al Sharpton, community leaders, and members of public, was organized in wake of the highly-publicized trial and sentence involving Martin.
(During a February altercation, George Zimmerman, 29, a neighborhood watch volunteer, claimed he shot Martin in self-defense after the youth, who was unarmed, knocked him to the ground, punched him, and slammed his head against the sidewalk. The fatal shooting sparked a heated debate about racial profiling around the country after Zimmerman was found not guilty of second-degree murder and was acquitted of manslaughter during the July 13 sentencing.)
At the rally, the “Girls (Run the World)” singer, 31, and her hubby, 43, kept a low profile, but posed with Sharpton and Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton at one point during the day.
According to Huffington Post, 58-year-old Sharpton, a civil rights activist, recognized that the star couple were in attendance during his speech.
“Jay Z and Beyonce said they didn’t want to speak and they didn’t come for a photo op,” Sharpton said. “Beyonce put a beautiful message up on Instagram. Let me tell you, that before a lot of you were down, Jay Z always supported us.”
“Jay Z told me, ‘I’m a father. Beyonce is a mother.’ We all feel the pain and apprehension — the laws must protect everybody, or it doesn’t protect anybody,” Sharpton continued. “We do not come from hate, we come from love of children.”
In the Instagram post Sharpton was referring to, Beyonce wrote “#justicefortrayvon” and posted a black photo a week ago. During her July 13 concert, which started shortly after the sentence was reached, she also asked the crowd to participate in a moment of silence for Martin before singing “I Will Always Love You” and “Halo.”
At Jay Z’s sold-out with Justin Timberlake on July 19 at Yankee Stadium, the duo dedicated their final song, a rendition of “Forever Young” in honor of Martin. “This is for Trayvon, so light up your cell phones New York!,” Jay Z yelled, with the “Mirrors” singer adding, “One more time for Trayvon, New York!”
In a newly posted picture from the rally, the mom to Blue Ivy, 18 months, posted a picture of four hands wearing bracelets for Martin, simply captioning the Instagram picture, “#ActNow4Trayvon.”

What pleased me about the first rallies ? and what has continued throughout this weekend?s rallies ? is that the African-American community isn?t the only group upset about the verdict. There are parents and young people and concerned citizens from every race and walk of life who are upset by what this situation means and what it says about our country. Just so.

Oh dear God. Beyonce covers the new issue of Flaunt Magazine, and this might go down as one of Beyonce?s worst photoshoots ever. It?s already being compared (unfavorably) to a terrible ANTM challenge (Bey needs to smize) and to some kind of Twihard p0rn (all of the sparkles). Is it just me or does Beyonce?s neck look really weird in several of these shots? Does she just have an epically slender, long neck or is this some Photoshop magic? I will give Bey some credit, though: her knockers look amazing. Truly.
Flaunt has a really gushy, ridiculous, ?Beyonce is the QUEEN OF EVERYTHING? article to go along with the crazy photoshoot, but that?s just build-up for one of the most boring Q&A sessions ever:
Flaunt: A picnic planner is hoping to get lucky with his/her picnic companion. What’s in the picnic basket?
Beyonc: A cozy blanket, red wine, fruit, ’90s R&B playing on my iPod. I don’t think you need much else.
Flaunt: Gay men are drawn to you and empowered by you, as they have been to “gay icons” Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Cher, and Madonna. What is it about you, and those women, that gay men love?
Beyonc: I’m flattered if I’m in the company of those great women. I think they love that we are bold, unafraid to love, and flaunt our sexuality and strength.
Flaunt: What’s up with gluten anyway?
Beyonce: I’m okay with gluten. Sunday pizza is a must for me!
Flaunt: Tyra Sanchez based his drag persona for “RuPaul’s Drag Race” on you. What does it mean that someone who impersonates your “girl-power” persona is a man with a successful career as a female impersonator? Is there conflict there?
Beyonc: No conflict. I love it and Miss Tyra is fabulous!
Flaunt: What famous piece of architecture might you most like to do some necking in?
Beyonc: The Louvre, or under the Arc de Triomphe. Paris is a beautiful, sexy city.
Flaunt: Millennials make up a huge part of your fan base. Thousands of them have responded to your Instagram hashtag #beygood to promote goodwill. How do you feel about the media’s take on youth as the “me me me” generation, or a generation of “slack-tivists” [people who are activists online but not in the real world]?
Beyonc: At my concerts I see the opposite. They are engaged in making a difference. We have collected tons of donations that will go towards creating jobs and helping people get jobs. That’s something I want to celebrate. For Chime for Change we raised awareness and over $4 million in one day for equal rights for girls everywhere. So many people at that concert were young. They are more socially responsible than they get credit for.
Flaunt: Some were critical at your participating in a Pepsi campaign after you moved your body for childhood obesity. Where is the balance between your career objectives and your philanthropy?
Beyonc: Pepsi is a brand I’ve grown up seeing my heroes collaborate with. The company respects musicians and artistry. I wouldn’t encourage any person, especially a child, to live life without balance. When you work out, take care of your body, rehearse as hard as I rehearsed in the commercial, I think it’s great to have a Pepsi or Diet Pepsi when you want one. It’s all about choices.
Flaunt: What is your favorite kind of stain?
Beyonc: Milk.
Flaunt: One piece of clothing you own that you absolutely couldn’t live without?
Beyonc: A white T-shirt.
Flaunt: You have always carefully sculpted your image and controlled public access to your off-stage life. Is there anything to envy about stars who don’t care about safeguarding their private lives?
Beyonc: I have chosen to keep certain aspects of my life private. But I also love sharing what makes me happy, especially through photography.
Flaunt: Is there a sex scandal in history that you find not so scandalous, and instead just kinda awesome?
Beyonc: Antony and Cleopatra. The legend of that love affair affected history and lives to this day.
Flaunt: A number of magazines list the top X number of ways to please your lover. Anything missing on these lists typically?
Beyonc: If you have to read those lists, you’re already in trouble.
Flaunt: What’s boring to you?
Beyonc: Lack of creativity.

?Lack of creativity?? Beyonce knows that she?s been accused of ?homage-ing? too much, too often for years and years, right? But I do like her answers for the Millennials question and for the Pepsi question. The Pepsi question in particular, because I think this new ?soda-shaming? campaign against Big Soda has gotten ridiculous. Do I think soda machines should be in schools? No. But I think anyone should be able to buy a Big Gulp in NYC. I don?t judge celebrities with soda endorsements, nor do I judge people who love their soda. I love my Diet Pepsi, and I?ve cut back a lot since my youth, but I still love to have it. And that?s my choice. Get your Nanny State off my Diet Pepsi!

Beyonce is in the July 2013 edition of Flaunt. The premise for this shoot was to tell her it puts the glitter on itself or it gets the hose again.
Not, but actually, I really hope that’s how the shoot went. Like, a Buffalo Bill type person just stood in the shadows and said that to her when she first walked in. She’d think it was a joke at first until the photog kept staring at her menacingly at which point Beyonce just nervously stepped into the tub while the photog kept staring at her while snapping a few pictures.

Beyonce posted some new photos of herself and of Blue Ivy on her exceedingly well-run Tumblr. I love Bey?s Tumblr so much. It really is a wonderful gift to her fans and to bloggers alike. Bey recently posted some older photos of her Sasha Fierce (and pre-Sasha) days too ? go here to see. You?ll have to pardon me, but I find these ?personal? photos so much more interesting. For one, Blue Ivy Carter has a legit CROWN.
Sigh? do you know how much I wanted a crown when I was little? I would have settled for a tiara, of course. I grew up in an era when those little plastic tiaras were not handed out like candy to little girls, like they are today. And as I realize more and more, my mother might have had a secret, anti-princess feminist agenda because she really did discourage me from ever going full-tilt princess when I was little. I wanted to be a princess for Halloween, but no, I was Tweety Bird (for like three years in a row!). I did end up getting my fake tiara when I was in college, though. Yes, I was that girl. I wore my plastic tiara as I did tequila shots. Because I?m a lady.
Anyway, these photos are cute. I have no doubt that Blue Ivy is spoiled and that her mom and dad treat her like a queen. I think it?s fine for now, but we?ll see what happens in the future. By the way, my favorite pic was Beyonce?s foot in Blue Ivy?s Tom Ford baby-heel. That?s a really great photo!

Beyonce’s latest single,Standing On the Sun, has leaked online. The track was earlier teased in a commercial for H&M and was performed at a concert in Belgium back in May.
Thoughts? Well, it’s pretty meh. Kind of like something you’d play as an interlude. It could be described as the perfect music to play at parties for people to talk over.

Here are some new photos of Jay-Z at the 10th anniversary party of the 40/40 Club in NYC. Jay-Z is a co-owner of the 40/40 and it?s been a decent investment for him (I think). Beyonce was there too, but she didn?t walk the carpet ? you can see some photos of her here.
Jay-Z has been all over the place recently, and for good reason. On Sunday, he announced that he would be putting out a new album called Magna Carta Holy Grail, because of course that?s what it?s called. I actually think the ?Carta? is a play on ?Carter? right? Like, Jay is saying he?s the Magna Carta (Carter). What?s interesting about this album release is that Jay has teamed with Samsung in a HUGE way. Samsung produced the commercial announcement for the album, and Samsung is buying and ?giving away? one million copies of the album three days before the album officially drops (on July 7). Apparently, this deal has lead a lot of people to complain about Jay ?selling out?. RLY? Are those people not aware of how Jay and Beyonce roll these days? Even their farts have corporate sponsors. Many of Beyonce?s fans want to believe that she not-so-secretly hates Kim Kardashian. I believed that at first, but I don?t anymore. I think Kim has managed to finesse and impregnate her way into the Cool Kids Table, which includes Jay-Z, Beyonce and Gwyneth Paltrow. Beyonce and Kanye West are like siblings, and I think that?s a good way to think of Bey?s relationship with Kim ? they?re like sisters-in-law who are nice to each other on holidays and concert tours. Sometimes they even have fun together. As for Gwyneth ? well, Kim is Tracy Anderson?s client, and by extension, that means Kim is Goop?s client. Goop?s relationship with Kim is business, and since Goop?s business is ?lifestyle? that means she has to be nice to Kim.
Anyway, Beyonce posted a congratulatory message to Kimye on her Tumblr yesterday. She posted the black-and-white image (above ^^) and the message ?Congratulations Kim & Kanye. Enjoy this beautiful moment together.? Do you think Blue Ivy and Knuckle West will be friends growing up? Probably not. But I bet Knuckle will try to hang out with BIC and use BIC for added fame. Generational famewhoring!
Obviously, Kim and Kanye are not going to name their baby girl ?Knuckle? but I was just having fun in the gossip vacuum that is the baby name speculation. I?m a little bit surprised they haven?t announced the name yet, but I?m sure we?ll get it sometime this week. I am not surprised that we haven?t seen a photo yet though ? I really do think Kim will be able to talk Kanye into a photo shoot with People Magazine. It will happen. Believe it.
Incidentally, Kris Jenner is already speaking about her new grandbaby. Kris told HLN, ?We?re all fine; we?re all good? and extremely happy and thrilled for the new baby. She?s doing great and she?s beautiful.?
PS? My new guess for the baby name is ?Kami?. It?s a K name, it?s Armenian, and Kami West sounds very ?Kardashian?.

Grabbing some quality time together, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z showed up in Battery Park, New York City on a movie date yesterday (June 2).
The ?Run the World (Girls)? songstress and her handsome hubby caught a screening of ?Iron Man 3? and looked to be in good spirits as the strolled hand-in-hand up the sidewalk.
Beyonce and Jay had just returned from London, England where they both performed at the Chime for Change?s Sound for Change benefit concert along with Madonna and Jennifer Lopez.
Knowles told the crowd, ?It?s time for change. Let?s chime for change. This is such an incredible night for me,? and sang ?Halo,? ?Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It,? and ?Crazy in Love.?

Here are some cute new photos of Beyonce and Jay-Z having a ?date night? in NYC last night. I guess Beyonce?s Mrs. Carter Tour had a lull, so Beyonce got to perform at the Concert for Change on Saturday in London, and then she and Jay came home to New York? Fame/Flynet says that their date night consisted of going to see Iron Man 3 in Battery Park. Which seems very? normal?? Shockingly normal. Do they just sit in the same theater with all of the peasants? Amazing. Do they get popcorn? I want to know! Also: Beyonce isn?t pregnant. If those photos of her wine-drinking didn?t convince you, the leather booty shorts should convince you.
Here?s something I didn?t know: the whole Chime for Change thing was co-founded by Beyonce! Did you know that? Beyonce, Salma Hayek and Frida Giannini co-founded Chime for Change to raise money for girls? education around the world. The concert on Saturday raised $4.3 million and that money will ?fund approximately 200 projects in 70 countries around the world.? No shade from me ? that?s a great thing that Beyonce just did.
Also, there are still questions about when Beyonce?s new album is going to come out. She keeps releasing drips and drabs of new singles, but we still don?t have a release date for the album. But one fan in Norway asked Beyonce personally when the album is dropping, and Beyonce allegedly said? November?! Beyonce is seriously going to drop her album in November? That seems? odd.
PS? I hate Jay-Z?s t-shirt. Stupid hipster t-shirt.
