Here are some photos of Beyonce and Jay-Z coming out of a vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Beverly Hills over the weekend. As we discussed last week, Bey and Jay are doing a 22-day ?vegan challenge? to celebrate Jay?s 44th birthday. They started last week, and I guess the challenge ends on Christmas Eve (just in time for Christmas ham).
If you follow Beyonce’s Instagram, you know that she?s been taking photos of some of her vegan eats (some of which look very appetizing). But there?s a problem. Because there?s always a problem, because yes, everyone does tend to nitpick Beyonce. Even I do it on occasion. Everyone is nitpicking Beyonce these days because her vegan challenge has nothing to do with animal rights, it seems. Beyonce doesn?t give a crap about ?not wearing fur? or ?not wearing leather? or ?not celebrating meat in other ways.? We know this because? look at these photos. She wore leather pants & a leather/cowhide top to a vegan restaurant. EPIC! She also wore fur to another vegan restaurant, and a few days ago, she wore a pepperoni-themed ensemble to another vegan restaurant.
To be fair to Beyonce (and Jay) ? they never said they were going vegan because of animal rights or anything. Don?t put that on them. They?ve never shown much interest in cozying up to PETA or the anti-fur brigade or anything like that. As many of you suspected, Jay and Beyonce are just doing the vegan challenge for their health, and probably to see if they CAN. Like, ?let?s experiment with this diet to see if we can do it.? And I?m starting to wonder if Bey is going to make it, because it seems like she has cows and pepperoni on the brain.

Just a few days ago, the world lost a wonderful man when Paul Walker was killed in a car accident along with his friend Roger Rodas, and last night (December 4) Beyonc Knowles gave a touching tribute to the late actor.
During her concert at Los Angeles? Staples Center, the ?Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)? singer stopped to recognize Walker with a pair of hits.
Beyonce told the crowd, ?I dedicate these songs to Paul Walker,? before singing the Whitney Houston/Dolly Parton classic ?I Will Always Love You,? and her own single ?Halo.?
As could be expected, the whole venue erupted into applause as everyone showed just how much Paul is already missed.

Here are some photos of Beyonce and Jay-Z shopping at Barney?s in Beverly Hills on Tuesday. Is it wrong that I worship Beyonce?s legs? I know my legs will never look like Duchess Kate?s (nor would I want them to, really), but I find Beyonce?s legs aspirational. She?s muscular, athletic and strong-looking. And I love when she shows off her legs. Anyway, I wonder what they bought at Barney?s? Does Jay-Z take Bey out on shopping sprees? Or do they go shopping for household stuff like any other couple? Can you imagine Beyonce and Jay-Z arguing about sheets and comforters? I would love to see that.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z has announced something interesting? he turned 44 years old yesterday, and to celebrate this noteworthy birthday (he and Bey are all about the number 4), he announced that he and Bey will be going on a 22-day vegan challenge:
Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. On the 22nd day, you?ve found the way.
On December 3rd, one day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!! This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a ?plant-based breakfast? everyday. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought?
Why now? There?s something spiritual to me about it being my 44th birthday and the serendipity behind the number of days in this challenge; 22 (2+2=4) coupled with the fact that the challenge ends on Christmas day?It just feels right!
So you can call it a spiritual and physical cleanse. I will post my progress? Any professional vegans out there that have any great food spots please help out! Please ha. I don?t know what happens after Christmas. A semi-vegan, a full plant-based diet? Or just a spiritual and physical challenge? We?ll see?

I have never felt like experimenting with Veganism, although (I think I?ve said this before) I did cut out red meat from my diet for years when I was in my late teens and early 20s. I didn?t really miss it then, but nowadays I need a steak every so often (especially when I?m PMSing, I crave red meat ? probably the iron, right?). Mostly I just think Jay and Bey are doing something very interesting ? they?re not proclaiming their allegiance to some new, fancy diet or anything, they?re just taking a ?challenge? and seeing where it goes. And I imagine they can afford the best, tastiest vegan food out there, so it shouldn?t be too hard.
? Potato chips are vegan right? I could take a vegan challenge for a week, probably.

This story might not be true but it certainly FEELS true. It feels like this story got the essence of Beyonce. Considering that Beyonce acknowledges that she has a complete, working archive of all things Beyonce, plus archivists, ?visual directors? and photographers on call to document her every pose, expression, thought, movement and empowered fart. So what happens when Beyonce visits one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids at Giza, in Egypt? Beyonce thought she could control the situation (allegedly), and she ended up being banned!
She may be one of the most famous people on the planet, but Beyonce was no match for Egypt’s “Indiana Jones”.
The singer was stopped from seeing the Pyramids because she kept renowned archaeologist Zahi Hawass waiting and refused to apologize, he has revealed.
“Most people I take on tours are very nice and we become friends. But this lady?,” Hawass, the former Egyptian Minister of State for Antiquities, told The Independent newspaper.
“She said she would come at 3 p.m. but she came late. I said ‘You have to say I’m sorry I’m late’. But she didn’t open her mouth. I brought a photographer and she also had a photographer and a guard. When my photographer started to shoot, he said ‘No, Stop! I am the one who says yes or no, not you.’ I said ‘In that case since you almost hit my photographer and you are not polite ? out! I am not giving you the privilege of having you on my tour.’ I said Beyonc was stupid and I left,” he told the newspaper. Hawass lost his job during the uprising in Egypt in 2011.
He has been accused of corruption over the alleged smuggling of antiquities.

A lot of people have been accused of antiquities smuggling over the past ten years especially. Maybe he?s guilty of it, maybe not. I have no idea. But the Iraq War plus the Syrian civil war plus about a million other conflicts have meant a boon in antiquities smuggling in the past decade. As for the Beyonce story? it just feels truthy. I can see Beyonce trying to dictate her terms to the peasants while visiting one of the most famous historical sites in the world.

It?s been a while since the tabloids have dusted off the rumors that Beyonce and Jay-Z have anything less than a strong, perfect, empowered marriage. I?m racking my brain trying to remember? I think the last time was just before Beyonce mic-dropped her pregnancy announcement at the VMAs in 2011 with her big pillowy bump. Ah, those were the days. Back then, there were always rumors going around that Jay-Z had side-pieces and Beyonce tolerated that crap because together they were a powerhouse couple, the Michelle and Barack of the music industry. Then Blue Ivy came and all was peaceful and everything was all about the happy family and how much parenthood had changed their lives. But now? Now Jay and Bey are doing separate tour half a world away from each other and Beyonce is starting to feel like a single mother:
After reuniting with her husband Jay-Z for the first time in nearly a month, Beyonce posted some vacation photos to her Tumblr. They spent three days together at an undisclosed Australian resort with daughter Blue Ivy. But, as Star has learned, Jay-Z?s early November trip to Australia was not just a family getaway ? it was a last-ditch effort to keep his marriage afloat.
According to an insider, Jay-Z?s decision to tour Europe at the same time as Beyonce is touring Australia has caused serious damage to their relationship ? damage that may ultimately prove to be irreparable.
Beyonce had assumed that after Jay?s summer tour with Justin Timberlake, he would join her in Australia. At the end of the summer though, Jay let her know she?d assumed wrong.
?Beyonce flipped? not only did he plan the tour without consulting her at all, but he didn?t even try to coordinate dates with her tour. She told him he was selfish.?
Her anger only intensified once the tours began. According to the insider, Beyonce has been feeling like a single mother lately ? and has been letting Hay know that he?s on very shaky ground. She even told him that she?s using the time they spend apart as a trial separation. The treat scared Jay. But though he?s tried to woo her with mini-vacations in Italy and Paris during breaks in their touring schedules, Beyonce still feels that he was putting his music career first and their family second.
And he continues to disappoint ? almost immediately after their whirlwind trip to Paris, Ja seemed content to leave the child rearing to Beyonce as he returned to his infamous club-hopping ways.
?Beyonce hates that Jay goes clubbing so often ? she understands it?s important to be seen, but he?s a husband and father. She thinks he?s using touring as an excuse to go out practically every night.

This is surprisingly detailed for a Star Mag story, but I know that doesn?t matter to some of you who dismiss Star stories out of hand no matter what. I don?t really think that Bey and Jay?s marriage is ?in crisis? or that they are in the midst of some kind of separation. But I?ll buy that Beyonce feels like a single mom sometimes and that she?s not happy that Jay still like to party so much, and that he hasn?t made enough time for her and Blue.

First of all, the brother in the tiara is giving me PRINCESS REALNESS. He makes the photo a work of art. He is the Tilda Swinton of Beyonce?s tour.
Second of all, I think I?ve been doing this job too long, because there was absolutely nothing on Beyonce?s newly-released video-shoot rider that seemed off-side or diva-tastic. I mean, I think we all know that Beyonce is a diva, out and proud. She loves luxury and fancy things. She dresses Blue Ivy in couture and she has a 24-hour, 7-day a week on-hand documentarian and archivist for all things Beyonce. DIVA. So, when you look at it that way, Beyonce?s rider is kind of meh. She wants a sanitized bathroom. She wants white rugs and everything babyproofed. She wants a blender! *clutches pearls* She wants Irish Spring soap. OK, that surprised me. I thought she would want some fancy, designer soap. Beyonce soaps her body with Irish Spring? Amazing.
In Touch has exclusively obtained Beyonc?s list of dressing room demands for a recent video shoot ? and though some of her requests are reasonable, others are over the top!
?Beyonc asked that her dressing room not only be completely baby-proofed [for daughter Blue Ivy, 21 months] but that it be furnished in all white,? a source tells the new issue of In Touch, adding that the temperature had to remain at 72 degrees.
But it doesn?t end there. ?She requested a large second room with a massive vanity and stage lighting so that her hair and makeup team could make her look her best,? the insider tells In Touch, adding that Queen Bey even asks that ?all of her food be served on a crisp white tablecloth.?
Beyonc, 32, also had some serious rules about what went on outside of her dressing room as well. ?She has a no-camera policy,? the insider adds. ?No one on set was allowed to take any pictures.? Can we blame her for that one, though?

Taking her electrifying show to Brazil, Beyonc performed at the Rock'n Rio music festival in Rio de Janeiro on Friday (September 13).
The "Single Ladies" singer donned a tiny white, lacy one-piece, adorned with pearls as she belted out her hits on stage to an appreciative crowd.
Before the concert, Mrs. Carter held a press conference in Fortaleza in which she spoke about being a mom on tour.
Pleased with her new role, Queen Bey explained, "It?s really interesting because I?m touring with my daughter for the first time and my dream has always been to be able to balance my life and my career. I think it?s the one thing that women struggle with because it?s so difficult. It makes me proud of my job. It makes me proud that music can impact so many people and bring us together." These are some new photos of Beyonce and Blue Ivy, and they are amazing. I would like to give a slow clap to whichever paparazzo took these shots, because they are artful and they tell an amazing story of wealth, privilege and? something else? A sort of casual elitism, as in Beyonce wears her wealth, privilege and success relatively lightly. Beyonce was carrying Blue Ivy onto a yacht in Ibiza. Bey was just wearing cut-offs, a t-shirt and some crazy Louboutins. Just like, ?Oh, I?m just throwing this on, this how I roll on a yacht in Ibiza.? And yes, Bey does WORK for her success, so I’m not “shading” that. I’m just taking note of how she rolls.
Look at Blue Ivy?s face too ? she?s all, ?Really, mom? Ibiza? How peasanty.? Blue gets her peasant shade from Auntie Goop, of course. Blue wants to be in Capri or Madeira. You know you?re raising your kid with a slightly skewed perspective on ?vacations? and ?holidays? when your idea of a little getaway is a yacht in Ibiza and still your kid gives you this look. Also: I love Blue?s jammies.
Over the weekend, Beyonce was in Philadelphia, performing at the Made In America Festival, which Jay-Z founded. We had the pics, but I didn?t really care ? Beyonce hasn?t changed up her costumes and her hair/weave is pretty much the same as the last time we spoke about it, so whatever. You can see pics here.

Kicking off the week with some time in paradise, Beyonce took her daughter Blue Ivy on a yacht ride in Ibiza, Spain on Monday (September 2).
The ?Crazy in Love? songstress donned a white top, denim shorts and black lace-up high heels as she carried her little one on board the watercraft for some rest and relaxation.
Over the weekend, Beyonce performed at her husband Jay-Z?s second annual Budweiser Made In America festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Knowles told the crowd, ?Welcome to Made in America. Show me how loud you can be!? followed by, ?This has been a beautiful night!?
