Real question: who is telling Beyonce that she?s a brilliant public relations genius and all she needs to do to ?change the conversation? is Instagram a few photos? Does she get that from The Hive? Or is there some publicist sitting around, sipping a mojito, laughing their ass off because Beyonce is such a control freak that she thinks she?s the only one capable of media management?
The past week has been open season on Beyonce and Jay-Z, and there have been multiple reports about their marriage problems. The NY Post pretty much has them a month away from divorce. And this Instagram photo is how Beyonce answers ? she posted the header photo with the message, ?My favorite hue is JayZ Blue.? What?s that Bey? You mean having your publicist hang up on reporters wasn?t the right way to deflect the rumors? People Mag covered this Instagram like it was concrete evidence that all is well in Bey-land, so I guess this is working for some people. I still think Beyonce needs to hire a PR professional who knows what the hell they?re doing. Perhaps a crisis manager is needed.
Meanwhile, Page Six has another story about Beyonce this morning, but most of it is just a rehash of their previous reporting. The only new info is that Bey and Jay?s On the Run Tour is netting them $84 million, or roughly $4 million per show. One music insider even theorizes that the breakup rumors might be some kind of plot to sell tickets.

I actually think Beyonce?s Tumblr is broken ? it?s sort of disorganized, new photos keep disappearing and she hasn?t updated the ?My Work? or the ?My Life? sections in months. Instead, she just keeps posting (and deleting?) photos to the main page. And there?s still a button for the ?Mrs. Carter Tour? which ended months ago. Why hasn?t it been changed to the On the Run Tour? Beyonce needs to hire some people to fix her Tumblr, that?s all I?m saying.
Anyway, as we keep hearing from the tabloids, Bey and Jay?s marriage is really rocky these days. Basically, everything that happened after Solange beat Jay-Z in the elevator is NOT GOOD. Some say ?divorce in inevitable.? Some say that they?re just having problems and they?re working through it with the help of counselors. Now Page Six says that Jay is the one fighting for this marriage to work:
Beyonc and Jay Z have more than 99 problems and only ?divine intervention? can save the troubled marriage, a source close to the powerful couple has told The Post.
While Jay Z seemingly is the one most at fault, he?s also the one doing all in his power to keep the couple together, even hiring marriage counselors who are believed to be traveling with the super duo on their tour, the source said.
?They are trying to figure out a way to split without divorcing .?.?. This is a huge concert tour and they?ve already gotten most of the money from the promoters up front,? the source said.
Despite the tens of millions the couple will pocket from the current tour, this will certainly be their last and the end of the tour could officially spell the end of the marriage, the source said.
?There are no rings, if you haven?t noticed,? the source said, admitting that he thought things would get better after the birth of the couple?s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
?For just a split moment, things got real for them and she was even talking about adding to the family,? the source said. ?But, after a while, Jay was out doing Jay and Bey was out doing Bey. They made the classic mistake of thinking a child would change everything and help to rekindle the initial fire, and it didn?t.?

What still amazes me is that it only took a few minutes of grainy-ass security video to mortally wound a previously untouchable couple like Beyonce and Jay. Seriously, no one had anything bad to say about them because they were so controlled and controlling of their image. Now it?s open season. Anyway, I?ll buy that they?re having issues and I?ll buy that ?Jay was out doing Jay and Bey was out doing Bey.? I think that?s their deal. I think that?s how their marriage has always worked.
Oh, and I didn?t realize that Beyonce was hired to do the song for Fifty Shades of Grey! She teased the song on her Instagram:
That sort of fits. If you?ve listened to her latest album, she?s been doing a lot of sexually-charged, ?I get my sexual power through submission? stuff lately.

She?s one of the biggest stars around, and now Beyonc Knowles' is snagging a place in one of the funkiest museums in the country.
On Friday morning (July 18), the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced that starting next week, the ?Drunk in Love? singer?s iconic outfits are going to be on display inside the museum.
Exhibits of this nature were only offered to Hall of Fame inductees like Michael Jackson and David Bowie in the past. Beyonce isn?t even eligible to be inducted until 2022.
According to reports, the exhibit features a wide array of ensembles from Bey?s music videos, red carpet events and even her Super Bowl halftime show performance.
One of the most popular items on display will surely be the singer?s Lorraine Schwartz-designed metal glove from the ?Single Ladies? music video.

Who releases a statement at like 5 pm on a Thursday, especially when it?s about one of the biggest gossip/news stories of the year? Beyonce and Jay-Z, that?s who. Bey and Jay have finally issued a statement about Solange?s violent attack on Jay in the hours after the Met Gala, in the elevator of The Standard Hotel. Here is that statement:
“As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it,” they say in a statement to The Associated Press Thursday.
“Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”
“The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false,” the statement continued. “At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

I could parse this for days. ?Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred.? Their share? As in? their share of the blame is unequal? As in, Jay said something that he shouldn?t have, maybe, but then Solange went crazy on him? So, Jay has 10% of the blame and Solange has 90%? Also, Solange wasn?t drunk or acting crazy? okay. I like how Beyonce thinks this is going to placate the Hive. Like, all of her fans are going to be like, ?Oh, Beyonce says it?s just some family stuff and they?ve worked it out. DONE.? No, girl. We still want to know what the eff happened.

A new report by Us says the reason Beyonce and Jay Z seemed so calm during Solange’s temper tantrumwas because they were used to it.
“Solange has flipped her lid like that before,” the insider explains of the stylish singer and producer, 27. “She is genuinely a sweet and nice person but she also keeps sh– real. She can take a small thing and it triggers her.”
“Keeping shit real” is code for “bitch be crazy” by the way. This wasn’t a sudden outburst either. Earlier in the night, Solange got into it with designer Rachel Roy and others during the Boom Boom Room party.
?Solange had too much to drink and was out of it by the time the performances started after the dinner at the Met Ball ? she was dancing like a crazy person,? a source said.
Another source said the ?Losing You? singer argued with Roy shortly after arriving at the Standard and Beyonc, 32, came to her defense when another guest attempted to intervene.
When the female guest asked Solange, ??What is your problem?? Beyonc defended her sister and told the guest, ?You don?t get to speak to my sister that way.??
Everything boiled over when Jay Z made a comment at the elevator thatSolange took the wrong way causing her to throw a bitch fit.
“This is not the first time this has happened,” the first source says of the elevator fit. “That’s why Bey and Jay were so calm. They are used to this from Solange. It has definitely happened before.”
It’s like a mom watching their kid throw a temper tantrum for the umpteenth time. The best thing to do is keepcalm and roll your eyes at them. That way you can laugh even more at their impotent rage when they get even angrier.

Here are photos of Beyonce and Jay-Z at the 2014 Met Gala. Beyonce wore Givenchy for the second year in a row ? remember last year?s utter disaster? I?m sorry, but Riccardo Tisci?s work for Givenchy is just not good. That being said, this Givenchy look is much better than last year?s, although that?s not saying much. I do like that Beyonce and Jay-Z stuck with the theme, which was supposed to be black-and-white and old-school glam. Jay looks really nice in his white jacket.
I was trying to figure out a few things as I looked through these photos. One: just how naked is Beyonce? The skirt of the dress isn?t lined, but are we actually seeing shadowy butt cheek and/or Beygina? I don?t think so. I think there?s some kind of lining or something in the crotch and butt area. Two: is that netted headpiece not really a headpiece? Is it actually just a netted piece that someone just stuck on her head for giggles? I ask because it doesn?t seem to be attached to anything?
As for the Givenchy look overall? it?s incredibly unflattering. Beyonce?s body has never looked better these days, and she?s at her thinnest in years. So why is she wearing something that makes her look 15 pounds heavier than she actually is? Also: the jewelry is too heavy for Bey.

You know what I just realized? The majority of the stories I?ve written about Beyonce in the past year have originated with her Tumblr, and Beyonce posting new photos on her Tumblr. Beyonce has achieved what so many celebrities can only dream of: she?s pap?d rarely, she maintains her stardom meticulously, she keeps a 24-7 archive of all things Beyonce and, most importantly, she almost always controls the story. I wouldn?t be covering this if Beyonce didn?t WANT me to cover it. Slow clap for Beysus.
Anyway, Beyonce posted these adorable photos of Blue Ivy and the Carter family?s Easter holiday. Blue Ivy got to chill with the Easter bunny (please tell me the Easter bunny is Jay-Z?!?!) and Blue and her mom both wore bunny ears. According to People Mag, the Carter family (plus Tina Knowles) spent Easter in Beverly Hills, at the Beverly Hills Hotel?s Polo Lounge. The hotel apparently set up a special Easter egg hunt for the kids, and Blue got a special Easter basket plus she got to interact with peasant children. People Mag also says Beyonce was really nice to everyone, even the peasants.
PS? I love Blue Ivy?s Easter dress. But I dislike her mom?s ensemble.

Beyonce and her blonde wig cover the new issue of Out Magazine. It?s a surprising choice for Beyonce, who basically has done NO magazine promotion for her album thus far. I remember her last album and the promotion ? Beyonce was all over the place, on cover after cover after cover, and she really oversaturated the market then. I like that she?s changing it up, and I think it?s cool that she did an Out cover. You can read Out?s profile here ? she really did allow the magazine into her inner sanctum. Some highlights from the interview:
On the album being one of her most sexually liberated projects: ?I?d like to believe that my music opened up that conversation. There is unbelievable power in ownership, and women should own their sexuality. There is a double standard when it comes to sexuality that still persists. Men are free and women are not. That is crazy. The old lessons of submissiveness and fragility made us victims. Women are so much more than that. You can be a businesswoman, a mother, an artist, and a feminist ? whatever you want to be ? and still be a sexual being. It?s not mutually exclusive.
On the rawness of her voice in the song ?XO?: ?When I recorded ?XO? I was sick with a bad sinus infection. I recorded it in a few minutes just as a demo and decided to keep the vocals. I lived with most of the songs for a year and never re-recorded the demo vocals. I really loved the imperfections, so I kept the original demos. I spent the time I?d normally spend on backgrounds and vocal production on getting the music perfect. There were days I spend solely on getting the perfect mix of sounds for the snare alone. Discipline, patience, control, truth, risk, and effortlessness were all things I thought about while I was putting this album together.
On the numerous groups, including the LGBT community, that identify with the lyrics of her fifth album: ?While I am definitely conscious of all the different types of people who listen to my music, I really set out to make the most personal, honest, and best album I could make. I needed to free myself from the pressures and expectations of what I thought I should say or be, and just speak from the heart. Being that I am a woman in a male-dominated society, the feminist mentality rang true to me and became a way to personalize that struggle?But what I?m really referring to, and hoping for, is human rights and equality, not just that between a woman and a man. So I?m very happy if my words can ever inspire or empower someone who considers themselves an oppressed minority?We are all the same and we all want the same things: the right to be happy, to be just who we want to be and to love who we want to love.
On her worries as she neared the completion of the album and prepared for its release: ?I was recording, shooting videos, and performing on the tour every night, all at the same time. At some point I felt like, What am I doing? Is this too ambitious? Even the day the record was to be released I was scared to death. But I also knew if I was that scared, something big was about to happen.

I remember a time when Beyonce didn?t really want to speak up for her LGBT fans, so it?s nice that she?s evolved to the point where she?s talking about human rights and equality explicitly. As for her feminism? I don?t have a huge problem with it. I loathe the flame wars between women about how feminism should be defined and which woman has the ?wrong? definition of feminism. If Beyonce considers herself a feminist then so be it. Good for her. I think this is her strongest feminist statement: ?You can be a businesswoman, a mother, an artist, and a feminist ? whatever you want to be ? and still be a sexual being. Treating themselves to an evening of sport, Beyonc Knowles and Jay Z attended the Brooklyn Nets vs Houston Rockets basketball game on Tuesday night (April 1).
The ?Single Ladies? songstress sported a blue-and-tan striped dress with a blazer as she and her hubby sat courtside at the Barclays Center to cheer on the home team.
After the exciting game, the officials of the Nets shared an adorable photo of the couple at the game and dished about the Nets making it to the 2014 NBA Playoffs.
