Hard at work on a new music video, Kelly Clarkson showed up for work in Pasadena, California yesterday afternoon (April 9).
The ?My Life Would Suck Without You? songstress had some strange makeup dots on her forehead and down her face as she strolled around the set in a powder blue blouse and navy high-waist pencil skirt in between takes.
During the shoot, Kelly enjoyed the company of her fianc Brandon Blackstock who made sure she had everything she needed throughout the day.
Brandon and Kelly will get hitched soon, and they recently announced that country star Blake Shelton will officiate the ceremony!

| Kelly Clarkson blasts Clive Davis for his memoir: 'Not true. His stories are mixed up' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

First of all, I want to praise Kelly Clarkson for absolutely killing it at the Grammys. She did a medley of Teneesee Waltz and Natural Woman that was just amazing. Also, Kelly won Best Pop Vocal Album, for Stronger, and her exuberant acceptance speech was so cute.
Kelly may be on top of the charts now but she’s had her trials and setbacks since shooting to fame as the first winner of Idol in 2002. She’s also had a longstanding feud with record producer Clive Davis, in which they’ve butted heads over the direction Kelly wanted to take with her music. Davis was CEO of Kelly’s label, RCA records, up until April, 2008. He then moved to head up Sony records. So Kelly worked under him for her first three CDs, up until 2007?s My December.
In his new memoir, Clive tells some stories about professional disagreements with Kelly, but Kelly wants us to know that he’s getting the details wrong. She also includes some additional information she claims Clive left out, in which it sounds like he demeaned and bullied her and did not give her credit for her successes. Kelly posted this on WhoSay:
So I just heard Clive Davis is releasing a memoir and spreading false information about me and my music. I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans. It feels like a violation. Growing up is awesome because you learn you don’t have to cower to anyone – even Clive Davis.
First, he says I burst into “hysterical sobbing” in his office when he demanded Since You Been Gone be on my album. Not true at all. His stories and songs are mixed up. I did want more guitars added to the original demo and Clive did not. Max, Luke and I still fought for the bigger sound and we prevailed and I couldn’t be more proud of the life of that song. I resent him dampening that song in any way.
But, yes, I did cry in his office once. I cried after I played him a song I had written about my life called “Because Of You.” I cried because he hated it and told me verbatim that I was a “sh*tty writer who should be grateful for the gifts that he bestows upon me.” He continued on about how the song didn’t rhyme and how I should just shut up and sing. This was devastating coming from a man who I, as a young girl, considered a musical hero and was so honored to work with. But I continued to fight for the song and the label relented. And it became a worldwide hit. He didn’t include that in the book.
He also goes on to say My December wasn’t successful because I co-penned the album and it didn’t have “pop hits”. Well, first let me say, I’ve co-penned many of my “pop hits.” Secondly, My December went platinum (It sold 20,000 less than All I Ever Wanted which followed My December.) Hardly a huge failure. Never Again, the ONLY single they released in the US from that record was a Top 10 hit. I am very proud of that and I have my fans to thank. But, again, what’s most interesting about his story is what he leaves out: He doesn’t mention how he stood up in front of his company at a convention and belittled me and my music and completely sabotaged the entire project. It never had a chance to reach it’s full potential. My December was an album I needed to make for myself for many reasons and the fact that I was so completely disregarded and disrespected was so disheartening, there really aren’t words to explain?.
Anyway, I love my job. I love my music. I love my fans. I love my label and all of my professional relationships? now. And I am grateful for Clive for teaching me to know the difference.
Cheers to another amazing year! And, as always, thanks for listening!
[From WhoSay]
Damn I love how she just smacks those stories down and makes her case bluntly. She is one tough cookie and she will stand up for herself and for her music. It really shows in her songs, and her industry and the marketplace have recognized that. Kelly is so talented and I love that she isn’t taking this laying down.
Update: Clive has responded to Kelly’s criticism of his book. He apologized but says his claims are accurate. He said, in part “I am truly very sorry that she has decided to take issue with what I know to be an accurate depiction of our time together. Before the book was published, I had every fact checked with five independent individuals who were present on a daily basis throughout it all.” You can read his whole statement here.

| Kelly Clarkson Explains 30 Pound Weight Loss | Added 11 years ago | Source: Celebrity Gossip |

Slimming down for her man, Kelly Clarkson revealed how she lost 30 pounds in 2012 in an interview with Cosmopolitan in the February issue.
As for her motivation, the "Because of You" singer explains, "I think that happens when you fall in love or date someone. If I'm going to be messing around, I gotta look good."
When asked about her method, the 30-year-old crooner shared, "I was working with a trainer. You'd be amazed the amount of weight you can drop by halving your portions. I know it sounds crazy, but do it for two weeks and watch what happens.' I just cut back my portions, I stopped eating late at night, and I work out a little more than I used to, and I literally dropped 18 pounds in a month. I think it happens when you get really busy. But when I'm on my off-time -- girl, those 18 might come back!"
However, Kelly clarifies that weight is not an obsession with her. She says, "I'm willing to work a little bit because I want to be a healthy individual -- which I always have been. I've put on weight, but that's just what I'm happy with at that moment."

| Kelly Clarkson: 'Being single doesn't mean you?re gay, but I?m never insulted by it' | Added 11 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I’ve admired Kelly Clarkson’s approach to the press for some time. I mean I’m not a huge fan of her music other than enjoying it when it’s playing at the gym, but I like her. Kelly has faced criticism over gaining weight, and she never played the victim when the press covered it, nor did she crow about how content she was, like some other celebrities who will remain unnamed. When Kelly lost weight earlier this year, she was equally nonchalant about it and she didn’t get preachy or anything. She just remained very matter-of-fact and low key about the whole thing. So I shouldn’t be surprised that this is the same way she deals with longstanding rumors that’s she’s gay. In a new interview with Cosmopolitan, Kelly reveals that she’s not insulted when women hit on her and finds it flattering, but that she’s straight. I really like how she handles the question.
On people assuming she’s gay
?People think, ?Oh, she?s been single for too long.? That?s kind of an insult to the gay community. Being single doesn?t mean you?re gay. But I?m never insulted by it, obviously.”
On getting hit on
?I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever. Oh, my god, if I were a lesbian, I would be so in luck. But it?s not just my thing. I?ve always battled for the boys? team.?
?But usually the guys who hit on me are tools. It?s the ones that don?t hit on you that make you like ?Why didn?t you ask me out?? It?s like American Idol auditions: The guys who are the most confident are the horrible ones, and the ones who are good have no confidence at all.?
On her weight loss
“I lost 18 pounds. And I think that happens when you fall in love or date someone. If I’m going to be messing around, I gotta look good.”
“There’s not a fad diet. I was working with a trainer. You’d be amazed the amount of weight you can drop by halving your portions. I know it sounds crazy, but do it for two weeks and watch what happens.’ I just cut back my portions, I stopped eating late at night, and I work out a little more than I used to, and I literally dropped 18 pounds in a month. I think it happens when you get really busy. But when I’m on my off-time ? girl, those 18 might come back.”
On extreme diets and exercise
“I’m not willing to do that. I’m willing to work a little bit because I want to be a healthy individual ? which I always have been. I’ve put on weight, but that’s just what I’m happy with at that moment.”
“Brandon and I both have bikes on the back of the bus, and we both love the outdoors. Once your lifestyle becomes more active, obviously you drop weight.”

Last month Kelly got engaged to her boyfriend of about a year, Brandon Blackstock, and Radar reminds us that she was single for almost six years before she hooked up with Brandon! That’s a long time to wait for the right guy, but it’s obviously paid off for her. I love how she lost weight so sensibly and how she’s swearing off fad diets. She didn’t get some massive contract to lose weight, either, and she could have easily scored one. She’s a class act.

Kelly Clarkson is engaged to her boyfriend of about a year, Brandon Blackstock! I?ve looked all around, but we don?t have access to any photos of her fianc, but you can see one here. He?s nice looking. He looks ?normal? ? as in, he looks like an attractive non-celebrity dude. This is the same guy who she ?lost weight for? ? as soon as they got together, she went on a diet and she started talking to the tabloids about her weight loss. The past few months, I kept seeing interviews or quotes from Kelly where it seemed like she was actually pressuring Brandon to propose? so I guess it worked!
In late November, Kelly Clarkson told Ellen DeGeneres she planned to marry Brandon Blackstock, and now her dream is coming true!
Clarkson, 30, accepted Blackstock’s proposal Dec. 14. “I’m engaged!” she tweeted the following day. “I wanted y’all to know! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever.”
This will be the American Idol winner’s first trip down the aisle. Blackstock, who’s the son of Clarkson’s longtime manager Narvel Blackstock, and the stepson of Reba McEntire, has two children from a previous marriage. The two currently live together in Nashville.
While chatting with DeGeneres last month, the “Catch My Breath” singer joked that her beau would have to “put it a ring at some point.”
“Honestly, I’ve never been the girl to plan a wedding,” she added. “We will totally, probably elope.”
Us Weekly was first to break news of Clarkson’s romance with Blackstock earlier this year.
[From Us Weekly]
Well, congrats to Kelly and Brandon. I kind of like her in a general sense. I don?t know much about her other than she seems like a really upbeat, positive person, she?s from Texas (I think?) and I like her song ?Stronger?. So, what do you think? Babies for Kelly and Brandon? Will it happen sooner rather than later? I think she?s probably a ?babies sooner? kind of person, although her career is going pretty well and she probably doesn?t want to stop touring and being a pop star while she?s still working so steadily. So? we?ll see.
Oh, and Kelly showed off her massive canary yellow diamond too. She posted a photo on Who Say, writing: “It’s a yellow canary diamond with diamonds around it. Brandon designed it with Johnathon Arndt! They did an amazing job! I can’t wait to make Brandon’s ring with Johnathon as well!”

She's been simply smitten ever since having met her latest love, and now Kelly Clarkson has announced her plans to spend the rest of her days with Brandon Blackstock.
The former "American Idol" runner-up elatedly took to Twitter on Saturday (December 15) to reveal that she and her talent agent fiance are officially on their way to wedded bliss.
Along with a shot of her new hand jewelry, 30-year-old Miss Clarkson messaged, "I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever."
Moving along swiftly, Kelly and Brandon (whose stepmom happens to be Reba McEntire) don't sound as if a big wait is ahead before the nuptials.
Of plans to say her "I do's," Clarkson recently told Ellen DeGeneres that she and her Nashville based beau "will totally, probably elope."

Stepping out for a media appearance, Kelly Clarkson showed up at ITV Studios in London, England this morning (December 5).
The ?Since You?ve Been Gone? songstress smiled and waved to fans and shutterbugs as she geared up for her guest spot on the ?Loose Women? show.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview Miss Clarkson shared that although she?s experienced massive fame and fortune since winning ?American Idol? years ago, she still stays grounded in reality.
?I am still completely the same. That's what people always say when I run into [the people] from Idol. I still show up in curlers with no make-up on and slippers looking like a hot mess for rehearsals! Usually the girls are all done up and I'm like, 'It's rehearsals! I'll do that for the show!' I'm the same girl.?
