Taking care of things in the bustling Big Apple, Lindsay Lohan stepped out in SoHo on Friday (September 20).
Wearing a white, midriff-baring top, jeans, and heeled ankle boots, the "Mean Girls" star waited to get in a building with a man and an older woman.
Recently, one of the 27-year-old actress's biggest supporters, Oprah Winfrey, revealed that she threatened to fire the troubled redhead from her planned OWN docuseries.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, the Queen of Daytime shared, "I said, 'If I get here and Lindsay isn't serious, I will shut this thing down today.'"

As part of her transition into “sober” life, Lindsay Lohan has a new boyfriend. 30-year-old former football player and Bravo reality show star Matt Nordgren. Nordgren played one season for the Philadelphia Eagles and appeared in the reality showMost Eligible Dallas so he clearly has the credentials to be a sober jumpoff for Lindsay Lohan.
When we quizzed Nordgren directly about dating Lohan, he told us: ?We?ve hung out. But I have been a friend trying to support her for many years now.?
He explained the two met about seven years ago through mutual friends in Los Angeles.
When we asked if Lohan, who was spotted at the Purple magazine party at the Top of the Standard last week, was sober, he said: ?She?s completely sober for months now. She?s in a great place, she?s thinking clear and working hard and meeting with all the right people.?
Strange considering that’s pretty much what everybody said about Lindsay the first two times after rehab until she got drunk and stole a bunch of stuff. But this time is different, I swear!
The only way Lindsay will change is if we attach one of those dog shock collars to her and set it off anytime she does anything remotely retarded. Just don’t let me handle the controller. I’d just set it off randomly. Line of coke? Buzz! Peeing? Buzz! Drinking a glass of water? Buzzzzz! Haha, look at her flail around!

Lindsay Lohan wants some attention. Because even though she?s ?sober? now (and that?s still in question, at least for me), Lindsay is still an unmitigated famewhore. And crack-birds of a feather flock together. So now we know that Lindsay has been dating ?handsome Texan football star? Matt Nordgren. I don?t know who he is, but he and Lindsay both want everyone to know that they?re dating now.
Out of rehab and living relatively drama free in New York City, (well, except for Dina Lohan’s DUI) the latest on Lindsay Lohan is decidedly wholesome: she’s dating handsome Texan football star Matt Nordgren.
Lohan first met Nordgren, 30, a former University of Texas football star who played one season with the Philadelphia Eagles, and then starred on the 2011 Bravo reality show Most Eligible Dallas, seven years ago.
While Nordgren has been linked to former The Bachelorette star Vienna Giardi and former The Hills star Audrina Patridge, he’s has been with Lohan of late.
?We?ve hung out,” he recently told Page Six. “But I have been a friend trying to support her for many years now.?
And it seems to be working.
“She’s completely sober now,” he added. “She’s in a great place and working hard and meeting with all the right people.”
It appears that he’s one of them. The Dallas native is a a partner in his family’s energy conservation firm Nordco, Inc. and has been good for her, according to one pal.
“She is very happy and very committed to staying sober,” says the Lohan friend. “He drinks but not irresponsibly and not in front of her. He is close to her whole family.”

Oh, I get it. He played one season and then he became part of an ensemble reality show? Yeah, that sounds about right for Lindsay?s ?official? boyfriend. If anything, it sounds a bit too ?high class? for her, considering Matt probably has a nice family and he?s probably not a crackhead. I wonder if Matt minds that Lindsay still has some kind of relationship with Vikram Chatwal?
And of course, we also have a funny/sad story about Lindsay being totally OVER her mother?s cracked-out drama. Birds of a crack-feather.
Lindsay Lohan has had her fair share of legal troubles and was released from rehab in July, but her mother Dina?s recent arrest for drunk driving really has the Mean Girls actress angry, sad and upset, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned. In fact, while filming for her eight-episode docu-series on OWN earlier this week, and eyewitness tells Radar Lindsay was on the verge of tears over her mother.
?Lindsay?s really pissed about her mother. She even said her mother ?is a f**kin child and she needs to be supervised,?? a source close to the starlet told Radar. ?She looked like she wanted to cry. She said, ?And you wonder why I can?t take advice from these people,? referring to her mom and dad.?
Lindsay?s father, Michael, also has rap sheet that runs at least five mug shots deep.
?Lindsay said it?s pretty pathetic when your mom contacts you with an apology for doing the exact same things you?ve done and claims she?s so sorry blah blah blah,? the source continued. ?Basically Lindsay thinks her mom is a complete hypocrite.?
As Radar exclusively reported, Lindsay wasn?t exactly surprised by Dina?s arrest and is beginning to realize what a bad influence she is on her sobriety.
?Since being released from rehab, Lindsay has had limited contact with her mother because Dina can be a bad influence on her daughter?s sobriety,? the source said. ?Dina will say she is the last person that has a problem with booze, but she does. Lindsay loves her mom, but she is putting herself first, and her recovery, which is a very good thing.?
Lindsay, 27, and her siblings have even begged Dina to enter rehab in an effort to battle her addiction. Prior to Dina?s arrest, a source told Radar, ?Lindsay has been worried sick about Dina lately. She knows Dina has been out drinking and she sees how much her own treatment helped her and so she has been begging her mother to go and get help.?

I?ll say it again: ET TU, CRACKEN? If anyone should be in Dina?s corner, it should be Lindsay. Dina has lied, enabled, pimped, lied some more and obstructed justice all for her cracked-out daughter and this is the thanks she gets? Wild animals show more loyalty and family togetherness.

With all of the fashion buzzing around the big apple this week, it's no surprise that Lindsay Lohan had the itch to do a little bit of her own retail therapy.
On Wednesday (September 11), the "Mean Girls" actress was spotted leaving her hotel in the SoHo neighborhood before heading off for some shopping at Barney's.
In other news, Miss Lohan recently stepped out for a lunch date with a mystery man, but for those of you that are hoping LiLo is on the fast track to love, you may be disappointed.
It was later revealed that the man at lunch was none other than a "sober companion" that was helping to keep Linds on the straight and narrow...for a mere $2500 a day!

Here are some photos of Lindsay Lohan out and about in NYC yesterday with a ?mystery man?. I suspect that this is the same mystery man that she?s been seen with in NYC for the past few weeks, although that?s not narrowing it down that much. She spends the daylight hours with this guy, who I think is her ?sober companion? and then she spends the evenings partying like a crackhead with her new boyfriend.
According to Perez Hilton (yeah, I know), Lindsay was partying at a club called Raven a few nights ago. Perez says: ?LiLo went out last night for New York Fashion Week and ended up PARTYING at a new club called Raven in the Meatpacking District. And she wasn’t alone! She showed up around 2:30 a.m. with a man she was calling her new boyfriend! And the relationship is so legit that she made sure to avoid talking to another man there who was an ex of hers!? Even though it?s Perez, I believe this. I?m primed to believe any story about the Cracken in a club at 2:30 am. It?s her natural habitat.
But what about the sober companion? Well, now that Lindsay has Oprah-money to blow (operative word: BLOW), it seems that LL is spending some money on the priciest sober companion money can buy.
Lindsay Lohan’s appearance on Tuesday as she wandered around Manhattan in black shorts and a slightly see through vest, suggested that she’s doing really rather well. And that might be in part thanks to her companion – a $2,500 a day ‘sober companion.’
Clearly keen to overcome her demons, Lindsay, 27, has hired the coach to help her stay on track and steer her away from temptation. But why does Lindsay need such an expensive service? Doug Caine, who runs Sober Champion, a stable of sober coaches with backgrounds in nursing, social work and psychology told PEOPLE: ‘You need to use your sober coach to bring treatment home, to the set, to the attorney’s office when you’re negotiating your next movie. Without bringing a sober coach to those places, she is highly likely to relapse.’
Linday’s decision to employ a coach to help her fight temptation is a good sign she might stay clean this time around. It’s unclear how much support Lindsay is getting from her sober companion, but some may sleep in the spare bedroom in the client’s house, join them for dinner, and accompany the client to to doctor and dentist appointments.
Lindsay is currently living in New York with her younger sister Ali, a model, and is focusing on her health following her much-reported troubles.

Where is her sober companion when she goes out gallivanting in the night? My guess is that he?s not the live-in sober companion she probably needs. He?s probably just some dude/enabler that Lindsay pays to make it look like she?s taking her sobriety seriously. I mean, seriously, $2500 A DAY? Maybe that?s the excuse Lindsay gave to Oprah for why she?s blowing (cough) through $2500 a day: ?It?s for my sober companion! I swear it?s not cocaine! Promise!?

Here are some newish photos of Lindsay Lohan out and about in Soho on Friday. She?s been in NYC for weeks without a major cracktastrophe. Maybe Oprah really has worked some kind of magic? Or maybe the crack shenanigans are building up inside Lindsay and someday very soon they will spill out in some epic crack drama. We?ll see, Cracken. We?ll see.
As I said, Lindsay has been in NYC this whole time? and her film The Canyons just premiered at the Venice Film Festival. When Lindsay first got out of rehab, she told TMZ that she was going to spend some time in Europe, resting and relaxing (?paying bills? more likely), but Oprah talked her out of the trip. Oprah thought that a tour of European drug dens was a bad idea, so that?s why Lindsay wasn?t in Venice to promote The Canyons properly. But as soon as people started paying attention to James Deen (who is in Venice right now), Lindsay posted a note on her blog because somebody needed to pay attention to Lindsay Lohan!
Along with the positive messages and words of support of ?The Canyons? at VFF, I am sending my own to the cast, producers and the amazing Paul Schrader. I am so grateful for the extraordinary experience of being a part of this film. Unfortunately, I have to clear up these reports. I was never confirmed to attend. Of course, I would have enjoyed returning to that wonderful city and being a part of this amazing event, but my focus is on my health and well-being. Plain and simple, it is of the utmost importance.

Here is Lindsay Lohan puffing on a cigarette while out in Soho, New York. It has been almost a month since she completed 90 days of court ordered rehab. She is happy, healthy, and looking better than ever.
Lindsay wore her trademark locks loose, kept comfortable by opting for flats in the form of brown suede ankle boots and completed her look with aviator sunglasses, a printed tote and lots of red lipstick.
