One of my favorite things in the world is when a celebrity denies having plastic surgery when it?s obvious to the legally blind that the celebrity?s face is jacked to hell. I can?t help it - it?s like Christmas come early. Along with the plastic surgery denials, I love when an actress pontificates on aging gracefully when it?s obvious she has no intention of doing any such thing.
Nicole Kidman has done both - she?s denied having plastic surgery in the past, despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, and now, in a new People Magazine interview, she?s positively rapturous about aging naturally. Maybe I?m going overboard - because, in fact, when Nicole was asked ?How do you cope working in an industry that refuses to let women age naturally and gracefully??, Nicole answers: ?Well, I live in Tennessee so it is slightly different than living in L.A. I just worked with Sophia Loren [in Nine], and she is so gorgeous and she has such grace. I use her as a role model.? So maybe I?m being too harsh. But I still laughed out loud when I read that.
When Nicole Kidman agreed to answer PEOPLE’s reader questions, little did she know she’d be quizzed on her cooking skills (not great, she admits) or to reveal her biggest quirk (she loves coffee ? but mostly foam).
But the Oscar-winning actress, 42, who plans on spending the holidays Down Under, was happy to open up about her life in Nashville while doing press in New York City for her upcoming movie musical Nine, which opens in theaters Christmas Day.
As for husband Keith Urban’s whereabouts? The country star played dutiful husband, watching the Tennessee Titans in the adjoining room while his movie star wife answered your questions.
If you could work a normal job, what would you want it to be? ? Jessica Lynne Bryson, Chattanooga, Tenn.
I’d love to be an interior designer. I just love walking into a room and redoing it. When my girlfriends are buying an apartment, they’ll always ask me to come along because I’m going ‘You can knock that wall down, just put a little bit of paint there.’
What is your favorite new thing that Sunday Rose has learned? ? Amanda Mustard, Brunner, Ontario, Canada
She now points at anything and goes, ‘Bug.’ That’s her word. We were in the hotel room the other day, and there was a little sprinkler up in the corner of the room. She kept pointing at it and going ‘bug!’ Keith had to hold her up and prove to her that it wasn’t a bug.
What mundane chores do you like to do? ? Anna Marie Pugh, Louisville, Ken.
Strangely enough, I love putting clothes in the washing machine. I would always do the washing growing up ? that was one of my jobs. And I quite like ironing shirts.
What’s your biggest quirk? ? Kimberly Taylor, Dallas, Texas
Keith and I love coffee. I love the foam more than the coffee. I will go and order a cappuccino and say, make it all foam and very little coffee. They know me now at the Starbucks in Nashville.
How did you overcome your shyness? ? Joel Morales, San Juan, Puerto Rico
I think a lot of it has to do with just getting comfortable in my own skin. That’s part of getting older. It’s okay to be 5 ft. 11 in. and all of the things that I used to feel awkward about. I now feel comfortable. A lot of that comes with being loved.
How do you cope working in an industry that refuses to let women age naturally and gracefully? ? Monika Ballew, Eureka, Calif.

No. I am tattooless.

I am a terrible cook. I cook chicken for Keith, and it’s always dry. I’m a much better person to cook for because I love food and I will eat almost anything.

Call my crazy, but I kind of dig the new act Nicole is trying to sell - that of the Nashville housewife who gives interviews about doing laundry and cooking. But it does seem boring for Nicole, doesn?t it? I mean, she must miss the days where she was donning a goddess gown every other day. Her role in Nine is a big comeback, in a way. It?s not that her last film, Australia, sucked at the box office? I think it basically made it?s money back and not much else, so it was considered a financial loss. Which is better than some of Nicole?s projects the past few years - so if Nine is a big hit (which I think it will be), Nicole will get some of the credit. And with that, comes more film roles. So she won?t have to sit around Nashville pretending to love cooking chicken.

Enjoying her stay in London, England, Nicole Kidman was spotted out and about on Friday night (December 4).
The beautiful actress was stylin’ in black boots, pant, and turtleneck underneath a large animal-print coat.
As usual, husband Keith Urban was right by his lady’s side, attempting to shield her face from the overwhelming flashes of the paparazzi’s cameras.
It is being reported that the happy couple and daughter, Sunday Rose, will be spending Christmas at their Sutton Forest homestead in Australia this year.

Having just arrived in the UK earlier in the day, Nicole Kidman looked lovely on the red carpet for the London premiere of “Nine” in Thursday evening (December 3).
Joining co-stars Kate Hudson and Penelope Cruz, the Aussie actress strutted her stuff at the Odeon Leicester Square before checking out her upcoming movie – which hits theaters on December 25th.
As for the upcoming holiday season, Nicole and hubby Keith Urban have plans to spend time with family in Australia where Keith will be touring.
Urban told press, “We’ll be able to spend it with all of our extended family on Nic’s side and my side, so we’re really looking forward to that. My sister-in-law on Nic’s side has four children and my brother has two, so there’ll be lots of kids running around.”

Gearing up for the premiere of “Nine,” Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were spotted arriving at London’s Heathrow International Airport today (December 3).
The “Moulin Rouge” actress and her “Days Go By” singer hubby looked happy to be in the UK as they made their way through the terminal.
As for the upcoming holiday season, Nicole and Keith have plans to spend time with family in Australia where Keith will be touring.
Urban told press, “We’ll be able to spend it with all of our extended family on Nic’s side and my side, so we’re really looking forward to that. My sister-in-law on Nic’s side has four children and my brother has two, so there’ll be lots of kids running around.”

Nicole Kidman is married to one of country's biggest superstars, Keith Urban. And although Taylor Swift beat out her husband at the Country Music Association Awards earlier this month, Kidman has no hard feelings toward the 19-year-old ... in other words, she felt no urge to interrupt Swift's acceptance speech at the awards, as Kanye West did during the VMAs in September.
"No!" Kidman laughed when asked by MTV News at the "Nine" junket. "No way!"
The actress, who recently sang Robert Pattinson's praises, said Swift is quite deserving of her accolades.
"She is a delight," Kidman said. "And she so deserves what's happening to her because, having met her and seeing her actually really become a phenomenon over the past couple of years, she really deserves it." Swift, of course, became the youngest person ever to win the CMA Entertainer of the Year award, among other honors.
As if that weren't enough, Kidman went even further in her praise for Swift. "She's a honey bun," Kidman said. "She's everything that she appears to be."
Speaking of Pattinson, Kidman recently said that despite not being able to work out dates to work with the "New Moon" star on his upcoming project, "Bel Ami," she still thinks that like Swift, he is deserving of all his recent successes.
"He's great," she said. "I think he's a really fine actor, actually, because he wants to be great. He's working with the right people."

Kicking off her week with a high-profile industry event, Nicole Kidman was spotted at the CDFA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards last night (November 16).
The “Moulin Rouge” actress looked lovely as she arrived at Skylight Studio in New York City, sporting a wispy white dress with a black belt and black heels.
Also during the course of the evening, Miss Kidman joined up with hubby Keith Urban for a special screening of her new movie, “Nine”.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Nicole discussed her life in the spotlight. “I was running from my life, in a way. My imaginary life was better than my flesh-and-blood life. That’s a sad thing to say, but it was. Now I love my real life so much it requires an enormous belief in a film to want to take it on.”
She added, “I think that we’re in the world to connect. Because that’s what you’re left with. You’re not left with your houses or awards or money, you’re left with the people that you built relationships with.”

Getting an early start to the day, Nicole Kidman was spotted leaving her New York City apartment on Monday morning (November 16).
The “Eyes Wide Shut” actress looked to be in fine form, despite having gotten her party on during a date night with hubby Keith Urban the previous evening.
Meanwhile, Miss Kidman recently chatted about her bigger bust since giving birth to daughter Sunday Rose, telling, “They’re not very big, my boobs, so they just became normal size. I loved it! I felt very Woman. When you’ve had a slightly androgynous body your whole life, having breasts is a nice feeling.”
The Aussie actress even credited her bigger bust to landing a role in the new movie “Nine,” saying, “[I had] big boobs because I was breast feeding – I was perfect for it. I wouldn’t get cast now.”

Making the most of a mild Manhattan evening, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were spotted out on a date last night (November 15).
And it looks like the “Moulin Rouge” actress may have had a bit too much to drink as she seemed to have trouble walking without her hunky hubby’s help.
Earlier in the day, Ms. Kidman was seen heading into a Midtown Manhattan office building ahead of a business meeting.
The night before, Nicole took her adorable daughter Sunday Rose out for a stroll in NYC, enlisting the help of an umbrella to keep dry in the rainy conditions.

Enjoying a little quality time with her young daughter, Nicole Kidman was spotted out with Sunday Rose in New York City on Saturday night (November 14).
The “Eyes Wide Shut” actress looked glamorous in a little black dress and heels as she toted her young love in her arms while a chauffeur scrambled to keep the two ladies dry in the rainy Big Apple weather.
The sighting comes after Nicole caused a bit of a stir earlier in the week at the Country Music Association Awards - with fellow attendees gossiping about her plump lips.
“She looked freakish,” a witness told New York Post’s Page Six. “She just had her lips done, and now she looks like Meg Ryan.”

When I posted a picture of Nicole Kidman on the red carpet in 2008, she was pregnant at the time, but she look like one of those emaciated models that advertise Chanel No. 5. She has always been a tall, skinny, woman with small breasts, but last night when I saw her at the CMA, not only was she wearing a dress with a plunging neckline, her breasts look too big for what I have seen in the past, and I am starting to suspect that she had a breast augmentation.
