After racking up a pot charge (which was dropped) at the World Cup earlier this summer, Paris Hilton has now been arrested for a possession on cocaine charge in Las Vegas on Friday night (August 27).
With the events taking place outside of the Wynn Hotel, the hotel heiress was the passenger in a car stopped by local police - as the driver,boyfriend Cy Waits, was charged with non-alcohol

Everyone knows that Paris Hilton is a cokehead, right? Well, now everyone knows. Paris Hilton was arrested last night for possession of cocaine. She was in Las Vegas, riding in a car being driven by a friend when the car was stopped by Las Vegas police. The police had notices that the car was leaving a ?smoke trail? and they assumed people were hot boxing the car, I suppose. Officers found cocaine in Paris?s possession. Police arrested Paris Hilton on cocaine possession charges late Friday night after stopping the car she was in on a Las Vegas street, authorities said.
The socialite was booked into the Clark County Detention Center early Saturday on the cocaine charge, Las Vegas police spokesman Marcus Martin said. She was released before dawn on her own recognizance.
The 29-year-old Hilton was in a car driven by a friend when it was stopped about 11:30 p.m. MDT Friday after officers detected what they suspected to be marijuana smoke wafting from it, he told The Associated Press.
“Officers noticed a vehicle leaving smoke trail of a controlled substance (and) made a stop based on that,” Martin said.
During the stop, officers found what appeared to be a drug on Hilton and later tests showed that it was cocaine, Martin said. He didn’t know how much was found. He said Hilton was apparently recognized by passers-by and a crowd quickly gathered in the area where the vehicle had been pulled over.
Police watch commander Lt. Wayne Holman said Hilton released early Saturday morning. He didn’t know how long she had been held nor any details about a possible court date.
He said the man who was driving the car was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of drugs. But he didn’t have any other details, including his name.
Hilton’s manager didn’t immediately return AP calls for comment early Saturday. Her publicist, Dawn Miller, did not immediately return an e-mail message. The arrest came during a week in which a burglary attempt was made on Hilton’s Los Angeles home.
Officials said 31-year-old Nathan Lee Parada faces a felony burlgary charge in the Tuesday incident. Authorities have said that someone carrying two big knives banged on Hilton’s window. She posted a photo of the arrest on Twitter and described it as “scary.”
Hilton was arrested this summer after the Brazil-Netherlands World Cup match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on suspicion of possession of marijuana. The case was then dropped at a midnight court hearing.

Meanwhile, recent reports tell that Paris is hoping to test her luck in the family business by opening up her own hotel chain.
She tells FOX News, "I've pretty much done all you can do, but my next project that I'd like to do is get more involved in real estate ? just from being in the business and growing up in it my whole life, it's always something I've been interested in."

Rumor has it, the hotel heiress and the reality TV starlet didn't utter a word to one another at the second anniversary party of LAVO in Las Vegas, despite being seated together.
A fellow party-goer told press, ?Paris arrived at around 3am and was on the same table as Kim but they remained frosty and didn?t look at each other or even speak.?

She?s being sued for $35 million by a hair extension company, and Paris Hilton says the charges are completely ridiculous.
The ?Simple Life? babe?s rep told Radar, ?There is no merit whatsoever to any of these claims. We will pursue all of our defenses vigorously and any potential counter claims.?
The company, Hairtech International, is claiming that Hilton wore a competitor?s extensions back in 2008 and effectively breached their contract.
Also, Paris? jail stint in 2007 prevented her from helping launch a new line of product and supposedly cost the company millions.

Paris Hilton is facing a $35 million dollar lawsuit from a hair extension company that claims she violated her contract by not promoting their product. Note to self “stank” and “wonk” must be way more marketable than I first thought. TMZ says:
Hilton got just over $3.5 million since agreeing to become the spokesperson for Hairtech International’s Dream Catcher hair extension line in 2007.
But according to the docs, Paris didn’t satisfy her end of the bargain — Hairtech claims she was “seen in magazines and on television not wearing [their] hair extensions and was in fact wearing competitors’ hair extension products.”
Hairtech also claims she screwed them over when she went to jail in June 2007 — because Paris served her time when she was supposed to be at a very important launch party for the hair extensions.
“More than 600 hair extension professionals” were scheduled to attend at the party — but because Paris couldn’t make it, they lost opportunities which should have resulted in $6.6 million in revenue.
Now, Hairtech is accusing Paris of fraud and deceit — and claims they ultimately lost $35 million because of her actions.
Look, I hate Paris Hilton as much as the next guy, but this is the kind of quality product Hairtech International was cranking out the last three years. It’s called “The Bandit,” for chrissakes. The only way that company could have raked in $35 million off their broke-ass weaves is if they also accepted payment in WIC checks and crack cocaine.
