It took forever and a day for Vogue to release their October cover! Reese Witherspoon is October?s cover girl, and she?s supporting her many projects coming out over the next few months. There?s Good Girl, which she produced. Then there?s The Good Lie, Inherent Vice and Wild, all of which could conceivably be awards contenders. I think Reese and her team are going to make the biggest push for Wild, for a Best Actress nomination. I?m not sure how I feel about that other than? lord, I hope Amy Adams or Julianne Moore win this year. Anyway, you can read the Vogue piece online here and you can see the photoshoot here. Why she didn?t play Amy in Gone Girl: Two years ago, Witherspoon snapped up the rights to Gillian Flynn?s Gone Girl, initially thinking of herself for the lead, but after she found out that director David Fincher wanted someone ?cool and unapproachable? for the part?it eventually went to Brit Rosamund Pike?she was happy to step aside. ?Whatever I am, I?m not that,? she says with a cackle.
Her two-year-old son Tennessee: ?He?s like a blond version of my husband. He?s so pretty. The older he gets, the more and more he looks like him. So cute.?
Being included on a Forbes list of actors who weren?t worth their paychecks: ?And there I was thinking I was reading about Ben Stiller! Thank God their articles are so long. I was on page six. Nobody can have got that far.?
Rebooting her career: ?It?s not that the roles dried up. They just weren?t as dynamic or as interesting as anything I felt I could do.? One A-list director she won?t name refused to see her for a part because he said she was too ??Southern and sweet and huge.? I was like, ?All right, back to the drawing board.? ? If the roles she wanted were not coming to her, she would create them for herself. ?When people underestimate me, it?s actually a comfortable place for me. ?Oh, that?s what you think I am; well, no, I?m not.? I?m a complex human being. I have many different shades.?

She spends most of the time talking about and promoting Wild, but I was surprised to see some quotes from Paul Thomas Anderson (who directed her in Inherent Vice) in the piece as well. I think with all of this shilling ? and with Reese?s husband Jim Toth, who is a power player at CAA ? Reese will definitely get an Oscar nomination this year. But I personally hope she doesn?t win.
Also ? Vogue didn?t ask her about her drunk, backtalking, AMERICAN CITIZEN arrest at all. Weird, right? I mean, Vogue would have been the perfect venue to discuss the arrest and what she learned and put it into some kind of perspective. But they didn?t even ask her.

Racking up the frequent flyer miles, Reese Witherspoon showed up at LAX International Airport to catch an outbound flight on Tuesday (September 16).
The ?Cruel Intentions? actress was all smiles as she stepped out of a black chauffeured SUV in her denim jacket, wide brim hat and black skinny jeans.
And given her experience flying the friendly skies, Reese brought along some food from Le Pain Quotidien so she wouldn?t have to eat airplane fare.
Earlier this week, Reese and her costars from ?The Good Lie? paid a visit to ?The Queen Latifah Show? to promote their new flick.

Here are some assorted photos from TIFF from the past few days. This is just a hodge-podge of fashion stuff which interested me. I apologize in advance if I?m not covering the actors you want to see! Let?s start with Reese Witherspoon in this great Dolce & Gabbana dress. This was last night at the TIFF premiere of The Good Lie. Reese has several films coming out this year, and it?s up for debate as to which one she?ll push for another Oscar nomination. It could be this one, The Good Lie. Anyway, I like this a lot. Reese always looks great in jewel tones.
Chloe Grace Moretz at the premiere of The Equalizer. Her dress is Christian Dior Spring 2014. Chloe has been wearing a lot of Dior recently. It feels like she wants to be taken very seriously as a fashion girl, but? I don?t know, I?m not that jazzed about her reliance on Dior.
Eddie Redmayne is pretty much the only guy who can pull off this suit. I love him.
Jessica Chastain flew to TIFF right after Deauville! She was there to promote Miss Julie. The black-and-white dress is Dior. It?s nice, but I?d like to see her in a bright color.
Naomi Watts has been all over the place at TIFF. Here?s her look at the St. Vincent premiere ? this jumpsuit is Stella McCartney and I surprisingly don?t hate it.
The fashion ID on this one is a little screwy, but I think this dress is Antonio Berardi. Great color. Not crazy about the design. Naomi?s pretty ageless though, right? Her face looks amazing.
And here?s Kristin Wiig in Suno. Eh. I think Kristin really wants to be a fashion girl and I?m not sure this dress gets her there.

She always seems to find the cutest outfits, and yesterday (September 2) Reese Witherspoon looked darling as she made her way to a swim class.
The ?Sweet Home Alabama? babe was all decked out in a black cap sleeve top with an abstract print miniskirt and black ankle boots as she walked past a smattering of shutterbugs.
Over the weekend, Reese attended the Telluride Film Festival in Telluride, Colorado where she premiered her new film ?Wild.?
Per the synopsis, ?After years of destructive behavior, including heroin abuse and promiscuous sex, a woman decides to brave the wild on her own as she backpacks solo along the Pacific Crest Trail for three months.?
?Wild? is slated to hit theaters on December 5th.

Always looking to use her fame for a good cause, Reese Witherspoon posted a heartfelt message for a very special fan via Instagram on Wednesday (August 27).
The ?Sweet Home Alabama? babe dressed up as her ?Legally Blonde? character Elle Woods and snapped a selfie while holding a homemade sign.
Reese captioned the pic, "This is for one of the strongest little four-year-olds I can imagine. Will?I hear that you're fighting so hard and strong against cancer and that in the hospital you've been watching a lot of Legally Blonde and loving it. I hope it makes you laugh!"
"I wanted you to know that I made this sign in your honor?and I'm sending a big big hug and my hope and prayers. Just know?I'm a really big fan of YOURS! PS anyone else?feel free to make your own sign for Will and post it with the hashtag #TeamWill so he can see it....I'm sure he'd love that!"

In career news, Reese will be working alongside Nicole Kidman for a big screen adaptation of ?Big Little Lies,? a novel by author Liane Moriarty.
Per the synopsis, ?This is the story of a group of Australian mothers whose kids all go to the same kindergarten. A mishap with a broken heel leads the ?mums? through series of events that eventually ends in murder.?

Reese Witherspoon has gotten pap?d like crazy the past four or five days. She?s been on location for a month or so (in New Orleans I think) filming a movie with Sofia Vergara, so I guess the paps just got pap-happy when she arrived back in LA. They got her in various cute outfits, and I?m sure this all part of the Reese?s re-branding. She is no longer the prim and proper Good Girl. She?s a sexy multi-hyphenate and Hollywood power broker. Something like that.
So, how is the rebrand going? She?s going to launch Draper James, her Southern-Goop lifestyle website and store, she?s growing her social media presence and she?s in the market for another Oscar. Will it work? Maybe. Reese is about to have a HUGE year with multiple prestige-films coming out within the span of like four months.
Here?s what she?s got coming out this fall: The Devil?s Knot (she plays the mother of a murder victim who sets out to find out what really happened to her son), The Good Lie (a woman who adopts Sudanese refugee), Wild (that stupid looking hiking movie), and Inherent Vice, which is Paul Thomas Anderson?s latest ensemble film. Inherent Vice is premiering at the New York Film Festival right after Gone Girl, which Reese produced. I?m telling you? she?s going to have a HUGE year. This is why she married Jim Toth, who must have a hand in this re-branding. This is why she?s growing her social media presence and why she?s getting pap?d so much. Reese is looking to make the most out of all of this. And she wants to get another Oscar nomination (if not an award).

Because Reese Witherspoon has an image to uphold and is still cultivating that Legally Blonde image, Lainey Gossip says those videos of Reese trying to pronounce Cara Delevingne’s last name were taken down from Instagram at the behest of someone whose name rhymes with Deese Hitherspoon.
You see, Reese is a good girl who would never use foul language such as “fuck”. She’s also hoping that video of her acting like alunatic when her husband got arrested for DUI has been scrubbedfrom everyone’s collective consciousness. Now, if we could all go back to pretending Reese is still a bright-eyed innocent girl from the South and not a monster with the filthiest of mouths, that’d be great.

Gearing up for another year of excellence from the Metropolitan Museum of Art?s Costume Institute, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Bosworth and Kate Bosworth were in the house for the 2014 Met Gala tonight (May 5).
Fans and shutterbugs alike clamored to catch a glimpse as the gorgeous meandered around the arrivals area, chatting with other famous folks.
The 2014 Met Gala celebrates the opening of the redesigned Costume Institute and First Lady Michelle Obama will be on hand to officially kick things off.
Among the evening?s highlights will be the unveiling of the newly-named Anna Wintour Costume Center, as well as plenty of amazing frocks from the top designers across the globe.
