I kind of love when Salma Hayek talks about skincare. She?s sort of Goopy about her beauty tips, but some of the stuff Salma pushes feels more like home remedies and wisdom passed down from generations. Plus, Salma actually wants peasants to buy what she?s selling ? her makeup and beauty line, Nuance by Salma Hayek, are sold at CVS. CVS = Peasant Central. Even though I know Salma came from a wealthy family and she?s made her own money and she married one of the richest men in the world, I still believe that Salma has and would shop at CVS on occasion. Is that weird? Maybe she?s just better at this whole branding thing than Gwyneth Paltrow. Anyway, Salma sat down with Us Weekly to offer more beauty and makeup tips (this is just an extended ad for her line, just FYI):
Her motto: “You’ve got to take who you are and love who you are and do the best you can with what you’ve got. That goes for the figure, and it goes for everything else. You’ve got to have a sense of humor about who you are and give yourself a break. You’ve got to be kind to yourself. And it’s not easy, you know?”
Making your makeup look natural: “The purpose of makeup is to look like you have none on. If you’re unsure of your best blush color, look at the inside of your mouth. That will give you a natural color, not too bright. I recommend this over pinching your cheeks.”
Blood circulation: “I love dry-brushing before showers. It’s a great way to stimulate blood circulation and get rid of dead skin cells. A Thai massage — a cross between a massage and a yoga class — also does wonders for my mind-body connection. Afterward, I feel like I have a whole new body.”
Massage your face: “Touching skin is good for circulation and toning! When using my antiaging cream, I tap it onto skin. It has tepezchohuite tree bark in it, which has been used for years in Mexico on burn victims to completely regenerate skin cells.”
She?s a juicer: “Juicing brings me back to center if I wander too far into the Parisian lifestyle of wine, pasta and cheese. Organic fruits and vegetables cover my nutritional bases, but I never shy away from healthy fats, like almond milk — they are so good for skin.”
Love your hair: “I have wavy hair, and I know it’s not sexy to constantly fight the curl. When I come out of the shower, I apply a lot of sea-salt spray to damp hair and let it air-dry. My hair has never looked better!”
Embrace aging: “Women tend to be more self-assured about their looks with age. And that’s the way it should be. It’s so important to feel excited about yourself. Happiness and beauty live inside you and are just trying their best.”

I would never dry-brush myself before I get into a shower. Do you know how sweaty and gross I am after the gym? Why would I brush my sweaty, exhausted body before I get in the shower?! And the tip about using a blush that?s the same color as inside your mouth? Weird? but I guess that would work??
As for the juicing thing ? I told you she seems Goopy. But to be fair to Salma, I think her Cooler Cleanse juice thing is just for one day. I couldn?t even do that, quite honestly, but one day of an almond-milk-based juice cleanse seems more reasonable that Gwyneth?s monthly juice fasts where it?s like she?s living on kale water for 10 days at a time. CB pointed out that Salma has been endorsing a line of juice cleanses for a while now, and some are 3 to 5 days long. But in Us Weekly, she’s just pushing the 24-hour one.

Here are some photos of Salma Hayek, Francois-Henri Pinault, Valentina Pinault at the La Belle & la Bete premiere in Paris over the weekend. That?s the new French version of Beauty and the Beast, starring Lea Seydoux and Vincent Cassel. Anyway, I just thought you?d like to see these photos ? Salma doesn?t bring Valentina on the red carpet very often, but Valentina is definitely familiar with mommy & daddy?s circle of friends and all that. Valentina is already comfortable at fashion shows and premieres, and she seems like a pretty well-adjusted kid.
There?s also a rumor going around Europe that Salma and Francois might be plunking down $300 MILLION on a crazy Spanish estate called Almoraima.
LIKE a scene out of Dusk til Dawn, Hollywood star Salma Hayek zoomed into Andalucia this week in an audacious bid to buy Spain?s controversial Almoraima estate. The Mexican-born actress was reported to have flown into the estate, near Castellar de la Frontera, by helicopter with her billionaire husband Francois-Henri Pinault.
It would be excellent news for the area, as Hayak is known as a keen environmentalist and would be just the person to promote the beautiful estate abroad.
The 14,000 hectare estate became a subject of angry scenes after the government announced its sale last year. Despite being alongside the Alcornocales Natural Park, it favoured an ?elite tourism? development, which would have polo pitches, golf courses and an airstrip.
It has led to the Junta to attempt to rezone the area into the park itself to prevent the development from going ahead.
The Olive Press launched a campaign to save the area in the autumn, with a trio of expat writers insisting it would be a disaster to develop it.
It is not known the type of project of Hayak, at this stage, although it would unlikely be destructive to the area. Her husband is the owner of the Kering group which owns luxury goods companies such as Alexander McQueen, Puma and Brioni. Forbes magazine estimates his wealth at $15 billion.

I would suspect that even the man who is worth $15 billion would hesitate to buy a $300 million estate. Especially a controversial estate that would be partly devoted to preservation. Maybe I?m wrong. Maybe this is perfect for Salma and Francois. But he seems more like a Paris guy, maybe he vacations in Capri or St. Moritz. Shelling out that kind of cash for a Spanish estate? I don?t see him going for it.
PS? Valentina?s leopard print is SO AWESOME. Is it wrong to want her shoes?

Paris Fashion Week is in full swing, and you know what that means. That means that Francois-Henri Pinault, who owns more than half of the labels showing at PFW, brings his wife to all of the big shows. So here are Salma Hayek and Pinault at the Saint Laurent Menswear Fall/Winter 2014-2015 show.
I?m assuming Salma is actually wearing YSL (or as we?re now supposed to say, ?Saint Laurent?) menswear. Which brings me to a question I have for all of my fellow large-busted ladies: do you ever wish that you could pull off this kind of drag king look? I do. But I?ve always assumed that I could never pull off a suit-and-tie look because of my breasts. My thought was always: ?Only women built like Diane Keaton could really pull this off.? It?s because my default fear is that big boobs make even conservative outfits look p0rny and/or unflattering.
I?m just saying? I?m jealous of Salma?s look here. I think she?s pulling it off really well because A) that suit has been specifically tailored for her body and B) she?s wearing some kind of minimizer or perhaps something else to hold her girls back. I?m also saying that I would love to try this look at least once in my life.

More photos from Saturday night?s LACMA Art + Film thing, an annual event for the LA Contemporary Museum of Art, sponsored by Gucci. Meaning nearly every single person in LA was wearing Gucci. Including Salma Hayek, who wore this surprisingly boring off-white gown. You know what? If you told me that Salma was doing extreme diets and that she had some kind of breast lift, I would believe you. She looks really thin here, and her boobs don?t look proportional to her body.

God, I love Evan Rachel Wood and Jamie Bell together. They just make me happy. She looks very happy with Jamie too ? this is possibly the happiest she?s ever looked. I kind of think her Gucci gown is my favorite from this event too.
Nicole Richie looks? er? this dress isn?t flattering.
Dakota Johnson in Gucci. You know what? Usually I would mock the feathers and such, but she?s rather bland and I think the dress gives her some oomph. Plus, she?s styled well ? good hair, good makeup.

Here is Salma Hayek spotting on the set of her new film, How To Make Love Like An Englishman, looking somewhat Hoochie Mama in knotted white shirt left half-open to reveal a push-up gingham bra.
The mom-of-one was dressed in a rather mismatched ensemble for the day’s filming, teaming her top with a bulky black skirt that she seemed to struggle to keep down in the wind, black Ugg-style boots with studded buckle detail and a dark green fisherman’s hat.
The new film is being shot in LA, and follows Pierce Brosnan playing a university professor who finds a woman (Hayek) who forces him to reevaluate his life of hedonistic excess – after he gets her grad student stepsister pregnant.
