It?s sort of startling to realize how quickly everything came together on the Tonya Harding bio-pic, I, Tonya. The film was announced in March 2016, with Margot Robbie attached already. Margot filmed it pretty quickly last year, and the film just had its film festival debut at TIFF. Apparently, this film is amazing. All of the critics are at TIFF and it?s already being called the ?festival darling.? Variety gave it a glowing review, as did literally every other reviewer. I went back and read my story on the casting news, and I?m relieved to say that I knew back then that Margot would make a great Tonya Harding. So many actresses don?t want to play those kind of low-class characters, but Margot was apparently all about it – she produced the film as well. And now she?s probably one of the biggest contenders (thus far) for an Oscar nomination.
For the big TIFF premiere, Margot wore this floral Erdem dress which I sort of love on her, mostly because I?m such a fan of this shade of blue. I sort of wish I could rejigger the dress a little bit – it shouldn?t have such a high neck, and there?s no need for the ?tiers? on the skirt. A straight skirt would have worked perfectly here. I?m also including photos of Margot?s costars, Sebastian Stan and Allison Janney. I?m already sold on this movie, but knowing that Sebastian plays Tonya?s shady dirtbag husband Jeff Gillooly is just? magic.

As we learned earlier this week, Margot Robbie slipped away to Australia (her home country) and quietly married her long-time boyfriend Tom Ackerley. In the first reports of the wedding, it sounded super-low-key, and I thought they had gotten away with just a simple beach wedding with only a handful of friends and family. As the reporting on the wedding grew, I realized that Tom and Margot actually did plan a real wedding, with bachelor parties and a van full of friends and a wedding dress and everything. Margot Robbie is, by all accounts, a rather low-key and down-to-earth sort of woman. While she was promoting several movies this year, those are the stories we kept hearing: that she?s the kind of person who will sleep on someone?s floor, that she goes backpacking through Europe for fun, that she?s not a high-maintenance princess. I sort of believe that. Another element to Margot?s down-to-earth vibe is her years-long relationship with Tom Ackerley, a British assistant-director. They don?t do red carpets together, but they?re not actively looking to dodge the paparazzi either. Anyway, there were rumors last year that Tom and Margot had gotten engaged. She never really breathed a word about it this year though. And now it seems like Margot and Tom just got secretly married in Australia!
Margot Robbie has married boyfriend Tom Ackerley at a secret location in Byron Bay. The 26-year old actress arrived home in a suggestive Say ‘I Do’ Down Under T-shirt last week at Gold Coast airport. The Daily Telegraph reported that she wed over the weekend.
Tipping the publication off, were pictures of her brother Cameron at their wedding party with four of her friends, and other images posted by Tom’s brother James. The article suggested James posted from a renowned wedding venue Harvest Newrybar in Byron Bay on Sunday. While other guests have kept a low profile on social media, the publication suggested a friend of the star, which they chose to not name, posted a secretive snap of an intimate beachside location set up for a wedding.
Having now tied the knot with her filmmaker partner of three years after being engaged earlier this year, the happy couple are yet to post their own snaps from the wedding. While The Sun have also reported on the union, suggesting Margot’s mother Sarie gave her away at the wedding, as she is estranged from her father Doug. Her other siblings Lachlan and Anya were assumed to also be in attendance, with her sister believed to be her maid of honour on the special day. Cameron, who flew back to Queensland on Saturday, was tagged in a photo at their wedding party with four of her friends.

I like this. Just slip away and get married on a pretty beach somewhere, with your family and maybe a handful of friends as witnesses. Margot is Australian, so I assume her family helped her put together the wedding, although it doesn?t sound like it was some big to-do. I hope Tom?s family and friends got to come out too!
Oh, and last week it was announced that Margot will be getting a stand-alone Harley Quinn movie from the same guy who directed her in Suicide Squad. The film will be called Gotham City Sirens.

Here are some photos from last night?s London premiere of Suicide Squad. The vibe on the red carpet feels a lot different now that we know the film is a pile of awfulness, right? Now it seems like the actors are just going through the motions, making sure that they fulfill their contracts and hoping that the film doesn?t lose money. Hint: it probably won?t lose money, but that doesn?t mean they should be proud of the film they made.
Margot Robbie wore Gucci ? an exquisite dress with a tiger?s face on the bust. I actually really like this. So far, Robbie has gotten the cream of the crop when it comes to the best pieces from the hottest collections. I was hoping to see some Tom Ford during this tour, but this Gucci and the McQueen earlier this week were great choices.
Cara Delevingne wore Alexander McQueen. This is meh to me ? I like her hair and I like the boots, and the rest of it bores me.
And here are some of the dudes of the premiere, including surprise appearances by The Batfleck (so sad) and Henry Cavill. Sorry, dudes. Another sh-tty DC Comic film. But at least we get the return of Sad Batfleck. Cavill wore Dunhill, Joel Kinnaman wore Salvatore Ferragamo, a suit in the shade of ?baby poop.?

Prince Harry turns 32 years old next month. We?ve had a while now to assess his ?type,? the kind of woman he typically goes for. For official girlfriends, they have to be blonde and they should have great figures. He seems to prefer athletic/curvy rather than model-skinny. I don?t think height is a factor, but he tends not to go for women who are really short or really tall. Personality-wise, he likes ?fun? girls, ladies who know how to party, women who know their own mind and have independent streaks. He?s not looking for a limpet. He?s looking for a sassy blonde with great ass. So is it any surprise that Harry has not only met Margot Robbie ? a sassy blonde with a great figure ? but he?s also exchanged numbers with her? Is it any surprise that they text? It doesn?t surprise me that Harry got her number, despite the fact that she?s madly in love with a boyfriend of a few years (Tom Ackerley). It does surprise me that Margot and Harry text. Hm?
We’re envious of Margot Robbie for so many reasons: her talent, her wit, her beauty…and now the fact that she has Prince Harry’s phone number. Yes, the 26-year-old actress sat down with to E! News’ Marc Malkin at the premiere of Suicide Squad and casually revealed that she exchanges text messages every so often with the royal hunk!
“Well, he’s friends with Cara [Delevingne],” Robbie explained about the model who is also her Suicide Squad co-star. “They’ve know each other for years, and we met through friends.”
Despite how awesome we think it is that she can just text Prince Harry whenever she wants, Robbie brushes it off. Her family doesn’t even know! “Yeah, it’s really odd,” she continued, admitting, “I didn’t tell my family. When I go to see my family my mom’s telling me about Murphy, our dog, and mundane things like that!”
Of course, only one question remains: Is he a good texter?
“He’s pretty quick on text actually,” Margot told Extra. “Unlike me?I write back four days later, weeks later sometimes.”

LOL, does anyone else think that Margot is basically saying that she?s been friendzoning the Ginger Prince for months and maybe he hasn?t gotten the hint? She texts him a joke, he jumps right on it and texts back within a minute (after agonizing about his wording because he?s crushing so hard) and then Margot doesn?t reply for weeks? Aw, now I?m sad for Harry. He really is the Bridget Jones of the royal family! Margot really is his type too ? too bad she?s got that boyfriend. But even if she didn?t, I doubt the Queen would approve of a sassy Australian actress girlfriend. Dear Harry: I’ll gladly text with you all day long. And if it turns to sexting, so be it. I hope no one shows these photos to LeAnn Rimes, because she will screech and screech until someone gives her this Alexander McQueen ?unicorn? dress (yes, LeAnn is really into ?unicorns?). These are photos from last night?s Suicide Squad premiere in New York. They need to this to be a hit. And I?m sure it will be, actually. Even my mom thinks it looks good, and she?s not the target audience at all. The breakout star of Suicide Squad will absolutely be Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and at the premiere, she dressed like it in this McQueen unicorn dress. It?s not that the dress is particularly great, it?s that Margot is wearing something very high-fashion, that feels one-of-a-kind and customized, and that her vibe is very high-class goth-princess. It works.
More photos from the premiere? Cara Delevingne in Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2016. I really, really love the boots, even if I could never pull them off. I think the look is being thrown off by sh-tty makeup and hair. The styling doesn?t go with the ensemble.
Will and Jaden Smith. Will looked nice, and Jaden wore a woman?s coat from Louis Vuitton. It sort of works on him, and I wouldn?t mind owning that coat, which is the point: he?s a decent model for women?s clothes.
Jared Leto wore head-to-toe Gucci. This stuff looks customized for him. While I think Leto is an odd bird, I also appreciate that he likes fashion and he likes to try different things.
Viola Davis in Vivienne Westwood. Viola is #goals, absolutely, and I would love to borrow her coolness for a day. But I don?t think this dress is all that great. The skirt looks too stiff!

Doesn?t Margot Robbie look like Vintage Sienna Miller in these photos? Crazy, right? She doesn?t look like Sienna now, but in those sunglasses, she?s definitely giving me Sienna-circa-2006 vibes. These photos of Margot are from late last week, when she was in New York doing some promotion for Suicide Squad, which will likely be her major breakout role. Her dress in these photos is Gucci ? I hate it. The floral looks like cheeseball wallpaper from the 1960s and the ruffles (with piping!!!) are just bad. But I think the worst part might be those stacked heels. How does she even walk in those?
On Friday, Margot appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She ended up telling a story about doing underwater scenes for Suicide Squad. Her story seemed? strange. To me. Margot insists that to prepare for filming a fight sequence underwater, she learned how to hold her breath for five minutes. Do you believe her?
She told Fallon:
?I worked with this amazing free-diver, and he came in and I did four sessions with him. His name?s Kirk. It?s all about lowering your metabolic rate?You kinda, like, meditate underwater. It?s what free-divers do, but it?s amazing? I got to five minutes and I was like, ?You know what? This is above and beyond what I thought I?d get to. I?m good, I?m good with five.??

This sent me down an internet rabbit hole of breath-holding information. Like, I believe that professional swimmers and professional yogis could easily spend years training themselves to hold their breath for four or five minutes, and even longer than that. I understand the concept of meditating to change your body?s needs and all of that. I guess my problem is that a healthy young woman would only need a few sessions with a free diver and BAM, she can hold her breath for five minutes? Does that sound reasonable?

She didn’t give us a second nude scene, but it’s nice to see her naked again. The paparazzi certainly did a good job there.
