Are people enjoying Love Story: John F. Kenney Jr. & Carolyn Bessette? I mean amongst our bitches. It?s officially the most-watched FX series, so clearly people are into it (save for Daryl Hannah, and understandably so). I?m waiting to binge the whole thing in one go, because watching The Pitt once a week is driving me nuts, but I can?t not watch now that I?ve started? The struggle is real, lol. And speaking of struggles, a JFK Jr lookalike contest was thrown together in NYC on Sunday, and reactions to the contestants were fairly scathing. Still, one of seven finalists skated to a win: Julian DeVincentis, who donned a tank top, backwards cap, and rollerblades to achieve the look. He?d previously been told he resembled JFK Jr when out rollerblading in Manhattan, which encouraged him to join the contest ? even if his own mother told him he wasn?t as handsome as the real deal. Ouch!
The Big Apple hosted its latest lookalike contest after celebrating Timothe Chalamet and Harry Styles doppelgngers.
The latest competition was held on Sunday in Washington Square Park, as hundreds of New Yorkers gathered to crown the best John F Kennedy Jr lookalike.
The event follows the whirlwind TV series Love Story which premiered in February.
The series explores the saucy sex life of JFK Jr and his marriage to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy.
A flyer called on participants to enter the contest and win a $250 prize, along with bragging rights for being crowned the ?biggest hunk.?
Video footage showed massive crowds swarming around the contestants. As the footage cuts to different angles, the crowd goes wild for the winning contestant.
The ?biggest hunk? sported blackout shades and a backward hat, along with a tank top, shorts, and bright orange rollerblades.
Despite the influx of people attending, however, the crowd was mostly underwhelmed by the quality of the lookalikes.
Spectators bashed the contestants on social media, calling them ?chopped? and ?terrible.?
?Lowkey a chop,? one user who attended the contest bashed on X.
?Slimmest of pickings,? another replied with many agreeing, saying the choices were ?just lazy.?
?Not even close! JFK Jr. is not comparable to any guy!? another wrote on Facebook.
One X user joked about the late JFK Jr, writing: ?I hope he haunts them all tonight.?

Eh, I can kind of see the resemblance. Sometimes with these lookalike contests, it?s more about the vibe or presence, the way the contestant carries themself, rather than who visually looks most like the original person. (Sidenote: this is what drives me nuts about de-aging technology or AI stunts in films/TV. As an audience, we know we?re not watching a documentary; the actors don?t have to look exactly like the real people they?re playing or exactly like younger versions of themselves! End of rant.) Unfortunately, winner Julian DeVincentis gave some interviews after his victory, the results of which negated any good looks. Asked what he was looking for in a girlfriend, he said ?She doesn?t trash your apartment when she comes over.? Charming. But then it got worse when he answered what he wasn?t looking for in a gf: ?No little dogs. No dog. Not in New York City. When we move to Connecticut you can have a dog, but not while we?re in New York.? I live in NYC, and my roommate (13-pound long haired chihuahua) My Guy and I have prepared a statement in response to Mr. DeVincentis: kindly f?k all the way off, thank you.
Just further proof that the Love Story producers really lucked out with Paul Anthony Kelly, and I look forward to HIS lookalike contest someday.

Regarding the current pile-on for Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, I think multiple things are happening at once. One, there?s genuine horror at all of this documentation between Sarah Ferguson, Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein, and people are shocked by how many times Beatrice and Eugenie?s names come up. Two, it?s beyond clear that Prince William and his office are bullying the fk out of Beatrice and Eugenie, and William in particular is exploiting the issues around Andrew and Fergie to scapegoat and punish his cousins. Three, it feels like the British press has figured out that they?re not going to get any pushback from anyone if they throw Beatrice and Eugenie right under the bus. So it?s settled then B&E are personas non grata, they will be thrown out alongside their rotten parents, and there will be widespread gloating at their ?downfall.? Speaking of:
Princess Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie have been left bitterly disappointed after being told they would not be welcome at Royal Ascot this summer because of their parents links to Jeffrey Epstein, royal sources have revealed. Traditionally the two siblings would have attended the colourful gathering at the famous Berkshire racecourse, which is one of the highlights of the summer season, and would have been pictured sitting in the Royal Box with other senior royals.
Officials at Ascot describe the event and in particular the spectacle of the King, Queen and members of the royal family in horse drawn carriages parading along the course as a timeless passage through heritage, memory and pride.
In the past both Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, have been regulars at Ascot each summer and have been pictured with their royal cousins enjoying the fun day out on several occasions, but this year there will be no shared merriment with the sisters feeling they are being made to pay for their fathers sins and being forced to lie low.
One royal source told the Daily Mail: The York girls have been informed they cant be there this year, while another source was even more direct: Ascot is out of the question. The royals have been told they cant be photographed with the girls for the rest of the year.
Friends say the sisters have been left drained by the bitter snub, which comes after both were named extensively in emails written by convicted sex offender and financier Jeffery Epstein, who committed suicide in a New York jail in 2019. But there is also embarrassment due to the fact their parents Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor the former Duke of York and his ex wife and the girls mother Sarah Ferguson have also been linked to Epstein.
According to Palace insiders, The Prince and Princess of Wales have already said that they will not attend if any member of the York family are at Ascot this year.
The source close to the York family said: Theyre deeply disappointed. They feel theyre being punished for their parents past actions, and thats very difficult to accept.

At this point, I actually think B&E need to take a page out of their mother?s book and get the hell out of there. Sarah has disappeared and no one knows where or when she?ll pop up again. This is the time for Eugenie to formally move to Portugal and/or get a job with a different gallery or auction house somewhere outside of the UK. Beatrice needs to figure out where she could conceivably go I guess she could live in America, or maybe Canada, who knows. But they would be wise to think about permanent exit strategies, because this isn?t going to stop any time soon. While I think they?re probably hurt to be banned from Ascot, the larger issue is that the Windsors still control the flow of invitations within the UK. Not only that, but the Windsors control the narratives in the UK. Time to leave!

Here are some photos from Monday?s Chanel Fall/Winter show at the Grand Palais in Paris. The show was well-attended, but the attendee-style was pretty meh. Matthieu Blazy took over as Chanel?s creative director in late 2024, and I think Blazy is acting more as a caretaker to the brand, not a revolutionary. In this post, I?m including photos of Oprah (who is super-skinny these days), Teyana Taylor, Eileen Gu (fresh from the Olympics) and Margot Robbie. Teyana is actually showcasing the few changes Blazy has made: more bold prints, and he?s made Chanel much more welcoming to Black celebrities. I wonder if Teyana?s presence at this show means that she?s going to wear Chanel at the Oscars.
But I really wanted to talk about Margot and her hair-change. This is horrible, right? I?m not anti-bob, but the bob combined with ?wet-look hair? and those horrific bangs? my god. The bangs remind me of when she played Tonya Harding!!! She was great in I, Tonya but that?s the style, right?
Incidentally, Margot?s riding high professionally at the moment a victory lap of sorts because her big Wuthering Heights gamble paid off, and WH has now made $213,635,877 worldwide, on what was reportedly a $80 million budget. So, Emerald Fennell?s terrible adaptation made money and there you go. Margot not only starred in it, but she produced it through her amazing production company, LuckyChap. Wuthering Heights made more internationally this past weekend than The Bride, and WH has been out for four weeks.

When did Wunmi Mosaku get on your radar? I remember people raving about her in Lovecraft Country, she got attention for her role in Luther, and she won a BAFTA for His House. She?s been around British and American films and TV shows for many years, but Sinners took her to the next level. She?s now Oscar-nominated for Supporting Actress for Sinners, and she?s enjoying the process. Wunmi is Nigerian-born, British-raised, but she moved to America in 2018 when she married her Black American husband. She?s expecting their second child. Wunmi recently spoke to the Times about Sinners, studying at RADA, and what it?s like to live in America these days. Some highlights:
Arriving at RADA at the age of 18: She expected to study Shakespeare. ?Instead, they gave us a year?s membership to London Zoo and sent us off to look at the animals so we could pretend to be them. I thought, ?What am I doing? I cannot be getting into debt for this.? I?m from a family of academics; I want some hard facts.? She ?didn?t really enjoy? drama school. ?I found it very difficult. It was my first time away from home, everyone mimicked my Manchester accent, I was the only black girl in my year and I didn?t get any parts. It felt isolating. I spent all my student loan on going home every weekend in my first year.?
On Sinners: ?[It?s] not really horror: the messages are so much more powerful than a vampire movie? It?s about love, community, the cost of freedom and cultural appropriation and colonisation. It made me think about our place in history and my ancestors who I didn?t know. It was a beautiful surprise that it?s done so well. I?ve met people who have seen it ten times in the cinema.?
She was asleep during the Oscar nominations announcement: ?I got the timing of the announcement wrong. I heard my husband on the phone and asked him why he was up. He said, ?Baby, you just got nominated for an Oscar.? I said, ?No, the announcement?s at 8.30am.??
It?s a surreal time in America: ?I?ve not been able to celebrate because of what?s going on right now, with the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by ICE agents in Minnesota and the kidnapping of a five-year-old boy. It?s difficult to hold both the nomination and the news because one feels beautiful and one is so dark and heavy; truly dystopian ? how can I possibly go out and buy some drinks and enjoy the moment??
On the American psyche: Her husband ?is not as shocked as I am at the news. There?s a very strange American psyche where terrible things happen and people still can go to work the next day, whereas I?m floored for a week and think, ?How are people going to crowded places when this has just happened?? I want a cocoon. My reaction reminds him that this is not normal.?
She doesn?t want to bring up her kids in America: It was ?never part of my plan? to bring up her children in America. ?I anticipate moving but I?m not sure where. I?d love to live closer to nature, I don?t know?? she ponders. ?In Tanzania?? Not back home to Manchester, then? ?I?m not going to lie, it?s hard to envision coming back when you?ve been spoilt by the weather in LA. You get soft very quickly there.?
Learning more about her Nigerian roots & Yoruba: She started learning Yoruba during the pandemic but didn?t know about hoodooism, a spiritual practice that takes some of its influence from a Yoruba belief system called Ifa, which experts on the set of Sinners taught her more about. ?I was scared of Ifa, as was my mum, who is Christian; I?d heard that it was evil, but then I met these priestesses and I was bowled over by their power, wisdom and knowledge from the motherland. Learning about Ifa unlocked something in me and the language stuck in a way it hadn?t before. A lot of the negative connotations come from colonialism and fear of the other.?
It?s easier for Black actors in America: Mosaku moved to the US for love rather than her career, but understands why black British actors including Idris Elba and David Harewood chose to work in America. They have said they moved because they faced a glass ceiling in the UK, limiting them to minor roles, whereas America offered more. ?Being in the US opened up a lot of different roles and routes for me. There were more characters to choose from there. Over here it felt like I just played police officers. I?m so tired of playing cops. I understand why David and Idris left, for sure.?

She?s right about the American psyche. We can watch an American citizen get murdered by government thugs on the street and we still clock in for work on time and celebrate birthdays and watch our shows and keep moving. It truly shocks other people that Americans are like this too. It also sounds like she enjoys the better-quality work she gets in America and she enjoys living in LA in general, but she doesn?t want to raise her kids in America long-term. But I love that she says no, I?m not coming back to the UK. You know what surprises me? She lives in California and did a whole interview with a British newspaper and they didn?t ask her about Prince Harry and Meghan. Is that growth from a British outlet? Perhaps!

Rosanna Arquette has a supporting role in The Moment, the quasi-biographical film starring Charli XCX. It?s (sort of) about Charli putting together her Brat tour, and Alexander Skarsgard also has a major role. To promote the film, Rosanna chatted with the Times of London about her 40-plus years in and out of the industry. She speaks with a great deal of honesty about Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein and his victims and Quentin Tarantino. She had a small role in Pulp Fiction, and while she?s proud of that film, she has mixed feelings about it these days. Some highlights from the Times:
Rosanna had no idea who Charli XCX was before Charli wrote to her. ?I wasn?t really in the Brat summer vibe, you know? But I recognised her songs. And it was a lovely letter, naming all these movies I?m in that she liked. Charli?s a big film buff.?
Charli reminded her of Madonna: ?I saw it happen with Madonna ? she exploded while we were making Desperately Seeking Susan?.Suddenly, in the middle of shooting, Madonna was the It girl. I remember we went to a Prince concert together and we were watching this crowd coming towards us. Really it was for her and I became the bodyguard, like, ?Leave her alone!? She went into a panic attack. I think she?d been on the cover of Rolling Stone. She?d done the MTV awards. And so it felt like this was exactly the moment it happened ? this huge worldwide success.?
She might have ruined her big break: ?I wasn?t prepared for it, and I probably didn?t handle things. I could have done things differently.? It?s not that she was a party girl. ?I?ve been around a lot of sex, drugs and rock?n?roll, and never got into it because I saw so many people self-destruct. The whole coke scene was not my vibe.?
What she thinks of Pulp Fiction: ?It?s iconic, a great film on a lot of levels. But personally I am over the use of the N-word ? I hate it. I cannot stand that he [Tarantino] has been given a hall pass. It?s not art, it?s just racist and creepy.? The other reason Pulp Fiction leaves a sour taste is that she was denied a percentage of the box office. ?I?m the only person who didn?t get a back end [a share of the takings]. Everybody made money except me.? She doesn?t blame Tarantino (?Quentin wanted me in that movie?) but the film?s producer, Harvey Weinstein.
On Harvey Weinstein: In the early 1990s Arquette went for a meeting with him about a script. When she got to the Beverly Hills Hotel she was told to go up to Weinstein?s room, where he was waiting in a bathrobe and tried to put her hand on his penis. ?I was fortunate because I was not raped. But, boy, was it going there and I paid a price for saying no, and later I paid a price for telling the truth.?
Whether there are still men like Weinstein in the industry: ?Oh my God, are you serious? They hide behind rocks, but of course.? At the height of the MeToo movement she became friendly with Virginia Giuffre, who was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein. ?I had many conversations with the Epstein women. Those women are warriors right now, and we need to protect them. I knew Virginia. I don?t think she killed herself.? She doesn?t think it was suicide? ?I do not.?
After four divorces, she doesn?t even date nowadays: ?I?m not in a relationship and that?s been really good for me, to not even date.? Would she marry again? ?Oh God, no! Catch up with Elizabeth Taylor? I believe in love and marriage, but I don?t see myself doing that again. I have not had the best luck in my choices.?

?I am over the use of the N-word ? I hate it. I cannot stand that he [Tarantino] has been given a hall pass. It?s not art, it?s just racist and creepy.? That?s one of the big reasons why Tarantino?s ?90s films have aged poorly, especially Pulp Fiction. It can still be an iconic, groundbreaking film which changed Hollywood and shifted the culture? and it?s also deeply problematic and some of the dialogue is like nails on a chalkboard. Now, there?s some debate about whether Tarantino has really been given a ?pass? while Samuel L. Jackson always defends QT?s writing and use of the word, other Black artists have spoken out over the years about it, including Spike Lee.
What Rosanna says about the Epstein survivors is interesting I didn?t know that she sought them out and became friends with them, including the late Virginia Giuffre. Given what we know about the wide, international Epstein Class of powerful men, I also think Virginia?s death deserves another examination.

Several days ago, the Times of London published an interview with Rosanna Arquette, all part of her promotion for The Moment (the Charli XCX movie). The Times asked Rosanna about different parts of her career, including her small part in Quentin Tarantino?s Pulp Fiction. Regarding Pulp Fiction, Arquette said, ?It?s iconic, a great film on a lot of levels. But personally I am over the use of the N-word ? I hate it. I cannot stand that he [Tarantino] has been given a hall pass. It?s not art, it?s just racist and creepy.? From there, she segued into speaking about Harvey Weinstein, who produced Pulp Fiction and who sexually harassed her around that time when she got out of that hotel room before he could assault her, he ruined her career. Basically, Rosanna has every reason to have mixed feelings about Pulp Fiction, that whole experience and any film produced by Weinstein. But Quentin Tarantino got really, really mad about her interview. He wrote a public letter/note to Rosanna:
Dear Rosanna,
I hope the publicity you?re getting from 132 different media outlets writing your name and printing your picture was worth disrespecting me and a film I remember quite clearly you were thrilled to be a part of?
Do you feel this way now?
Very possibly.
But after I gave you a job, and you took the money, to trash it for what I suspect is very cynical reasons, shows a decided lack of class, no less honor.
There is supposed to be an esprit de corps between artistic colleagues.
But it would appear the objective was accomplished.

As I said in my coverage of Rosanna?s interview, it?s not like she?s the first one to ever question or criticize Tarantino?s use of the n-word. Spike Lee was on Tarantino?s ass about it for years, as were many film critics and Black writers and artists. Which makes me wonder? is Tarantino angry because Rosanna is white? Because she?s a white actress and filmmaker who appeared in one of his films and she?s now like ?actually, his use of that word is fking gross?? It does feel like an outsized response to one woman who is merely chiming in on an issue which has been around since the ?90s. Also: does someone need to be ?cynical? to look back on what previous filmmakers got away with and think ?actually that was problematic?? That?s part of how art ages and how we, as a society, age and evolve as well. Additionally, I find it especially galling that Tarantino fixed his mouth to throw this hissy fit without even acknowledging Rosanna?s issues with Weinstein, which have also influenced how she looks back on Pulp Fiction.

While Travs Kelce?s 2025-26 season didn?t end the way he wanted, I thought that once the season was over, Travis would decide that he does want to retire after all. I mean, he keeps getting offered all kinds of side-gigs, and he doesn?t have to remain an active football player to bank lucrative sponsorships. Travis only has to ask his retired brother about that Jason Kelce is making major money these days and I feel like Jason and Kylie are starring in every other commercial. Travis turns 37 in October realistically, how much longer will his body hold up? These are the thoughts I imagined running through Travis?s mind. But apparently not! Travis has decided that he will play one more year. While he?s a free agent, apparently Travis is willing to walk away from much bigger paydays so he can finish his career (??) with the Chiefs.
Travis Kelce, one of the NFLs most illustrious tight ends and a three-time champion with the Kansas City Chiefs, has informed the Chiefs that hes returning for a 14th season with the team, a source told ESPN on Monday.
Kelce made his decision just ahead of the start of the NFLs free agency period, as he was set to become an unrestricted free agent. As one of the leagues best tight ends, Kelce wouldve been an intriguing option for several teams, but a source told ESPN that he informed the Chiefs on Monday morning his intentions to stay alongside coach Andy Reid his only coach throughout his NFL career quarterback Patrick Mahomes and pass rusher Chris Jones.
Two weeks ago, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach acknowledged that the team was hopeful that Kelce would return for another season, one that could be the last in his distinguished career.
Travis is the best, Veach said at the NFL combine. Hes an icon, and hopefully he comes back. Well just kind of let that process play out. Its not your typical 27-year-old [and] first time at free agency. Travis has done everything and has accomplished everything. Hes about to get married. Hes got a lot going on, so I dont think theres an element of us not trying to get something done you need to have some sort of deadline [or] timeline but at the same time hes Travis Kelce.
The details of Kelces contract are still unknown, but he could return for a one-year deal or a two-year deal to help give the Chiefs more flexibility with their salary cap.

I can imagine the allure for Travis: finishing his career with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, going back to be with ?his team,? and trying to put everything he?s got left into ending his career with a bang. That?s his fairytale ending a push to make it to one more Super Bowl, a push for another ring. Do y?all think Taylor Swift is on board? Weirdly, I bet she is. She seems to enjoy watching Travis work and I bet she wants one more season where she?s the cheerleader with the cute football player.
