Not sure how I missed these pictures, but here’s Avril Lavigne fighting a shark-bear/bear-shark with a battle axe last week for her new music video. The scene makes absolutely no sense at all but this is Avril Lavigne we’re talking about. She married Deryck Whibley and then Chad Kroeger. Her life is already one gigantic non-sequitur.

Looking like she may have emerged from the Thunderdome, Avril Lavigne filmed her new music video for "Rock N Roll" in Palmdale, California on Thursday (July 25).
The "Sk8er Boi" singer donned a green strapless top, a mini camouflage skirt, black studded knee-high boots, and a black helmet with bullets draped over her shoulder.
In the newest track off of her upcoming album, the rebellious 28-year-old songstress declares, "I am the motherfreaking princess."
Speaking about the song "Growing Up" to MTV News, Avril describes, "It's about wanting to be young forever. Doesn't matter what age you are; it's all about your spirit, state of mind. And I know I certainly don't want to grow up, so there are more songs on the record like this."

As it turned out, we were a little bit premature in declaring Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger married on Sunday. They actually got married on Monday, Canada Day. They did marry in France, which is interesting, I guess, and they did extend their wedding celebrations to include basically four days of partying. Above is the official wedding portrait ? apparently, Chad and Avril sold their exclusive wedding photos to Hello Mag. I would love to know how much they went for. Maybe a cool $1 million? Something like that, I bet.
Avril wore a black wedding dress by Monique Lhullier, and while that?s definitely ?try-hard,? it?s also not that offensive to me. Fun fact: Sarah Jessica Parker wore black to her wedding to Matthew Broderick too. You can see another photo of Avril in her black wedding gown here. It seems to be a rather standard strapless gown with a big, tulle skirt. Again, not that offensive to me. What does offend me is the eye-makeup. That?s not ?punk rock?. It?s just ugly, and it looks like she?s sweating or crying off her makeup. You can also see photos of Chad and Avril?s pre-wedding rehearsal or something here ? to that, Avril wore a much more traditional white gown.
After Avril and Chad said their vows at the Chateau La Napoule in Mandelieu, France, they had a fireworks show. Sure. Why not throw a huge party if you can afford it? The reception was described by one source as a ?wild, all-night party with drinking, dancing, incredible food and lots of laughter and tears of happiness.”
One last thing? does she have a bouquet of black roses?!!? That?s so? unusual.

May I present to you? the First Gentleman and First Lady of Canada! Yes, Canadian Sweethearts Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger allegedly got married this weekend in France, although People Mag is saying the initial reports of the wedding are false. I do know they’re in France right now, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if they had gotten married or were about to. I don?t know why they didn’t get married in Canada. Surely it would have been treated as a national holiday in Canada? I jest! I do not blame Canadians for Chad and Avril (although I do blame Canada for Justin Bieber, so go figure). Chad and Avril got together?? I want to say it?s been about a year and a half. They got engaged last August. And now they?re married. It?s her second marriage and his first (although he had some kind of common-law thing with an ex-girlfriend and he had to make a settlement with her when they broke up). Here?s more about the (alleged) wedding:
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger just rocked down the aisle in the South of France, a source confirms to E! News.
After getting engaged last August, the 28-year-old pop-punk princess and her 38-year-old Nickleback-singer beau tied the knot in what Lavigne had promised would be a “crazy and colorful” theme-wedding on the continent.
“We want it to be unique and special and we want it to be a very big event but at the same time it’s small and it’s just close friends and close family,” Lavigne told E! News about the Canadian lovebirds’ wedding plans last month at the Billboard Music awards.
“Of course [Chad] has been really involved,” she continued. “He’s also been really cool with just letting me kinda taking the wedding in the direction I want to take it in.”
Kroeger, for his part, wisely deferred to his ladylove. “I sit back and I take a lot of the things that are presented to me, and I look at them on paper, and when I’m asked my opinion, I offer it very gently. That’s the smartest thing I can possibly do because that big day is not about me. That big day is about her.”

You can see some photos here of Avril in the South of France ? the Mail is acting like the photos are from just before the wedding, but I think they might be from the rehearsal dinner or something. She?s wearing a little green dress and UGGS. And a crown. So? maybe that?s what she wore to her wedding? God knows. Anyway, congrats to Chad and Avril. This should be a glorious mess when it falls apart, but I?m thinking Avril and Chad will keep it together long enough to have at least one baby, don?t you think?

Taking care of some media duties, Avril Lavigne showed up at Kiss 92.5FM studios in Toronto, Canada this morning (June 3).
The ?Sk8er Boi? songstress looked to be in good spirits as she chatted with fans while posing for photos and signing autographs.
Avril has been busy promoting her new single ?Here?s to Never Growing Up,? and it sounds like her fifth album is going to be something special.
Lavigne explained, "It's not just all songs about relationships and dudes. I just wanted to write songs and make something that was a little more artistic. I wanted to go down that road. I wasn't trying to write a big radio record."

Avril Lavigne covers the July 2013 issue ofNylon magazineand talks about when she first saw her nowhusbandChad Kroeger of Nickelback (viaUs). It was when she was with Deryck Whibley when she was 17 back whenComplicated had just come out. That night Avril was out celebrating with Jaeger bombs and Whibley ended up carrying her out of the venue over his shoulder. That’s when she saw Kroeger partying nearby.
“He didn’t even know who I was at that point!” the singer says of Kroeger, 38. “I had just gotten on the radio.”
Lavigne and Whibley divorced in 2010 and she started seeing Nickelback front man Chad Kroeger just recently. Now she’s happy… with Nickelback.
These days, its Kroeger who makes Lavigne most happy. “He’s nice, and real, and kind,” the 28-year-old Napanee, Ont., native gushes. “For me, it’s about having a connection on a deeper level.”
Yea, but Nickelback.
The musicians began collaborating on Lavigne’s album in early 2012. “He does what I do — he’s a rocker, he plays guitar, he’s onstage every night and he writes songs,” Lavigne says.
Yea, but Nickelback?
Lavigne’s favorite track off her forthcoming fifth album is called “Let Me Go,” a romantic ballad she co-wrote with Kroeger. “Lyrically, I pushed myself to talk about different subjects I haven’t talked about before,” the singer tells Nylon. “I didn’t want to be so simple. I tried to really express myself and go deeper.”
Yea… but Nickelback?!
