In news that I hope no one finds surprising, it seems like Avril Lavigne and her husband of three years Deryck Whibley are having big problems. Side note - I hate both of them for how they spell their names. Back on topic: Gatecrasher is reporting that Avril has been spotted in the Hamptons ?looking anything but married?. Avril has been seen out and about in the company of multiple men, and she seems very concerned about being photographed in any kind of compromising position. Avril and Deryck were married in 2006. Deryck is 29 years old, and Avril turns 25 this September.
Things are about to get “Complicated” for Avril Lavigne and hubby Deryck Whibley. Sources close to the couple, who have been married since 2006, say they’re headed for Splitsville. That seemed apparent when the Canadian songstress was out and about in Southampton last weekend - sans hubby and looking anything but married.
“She wanted to get away from Deryck and have a weekend to herself,” says a source close to the “Sk8er Boi” singer.
A spy at celebrity eatery Georgica indeed saw Lavigne getting away - but hardly spending any time alone. Instead, says the onlooker, she was partying hard and hanging with a number of male admirers. Only later in the evening did Lavigne get paranoid about what the nearby paparazzi may have captured on film. “She kept running up to the photographers and asking to see the pictures they took,” says one partygoer. (We’ve noticed that those photos have mysteriously disappeared from at least one site on which they were posted.)
Lavigne continued her Saturday night at another Hamptons hot spot, Axe Lounge, where she danced the night - and perhaps her rocky marriage - away.
Trouble has been brewing since early this year for Lavigne and Whibley, who haven’t been photographed together since last December - and things have gotten significantly colder between the two since the summer heated up. Whibley attended the L.A. premiere of “Transformers” solo on June 22, while his missus jetted off to Saint-Tropez for a week with her girlfriends. One vacationer at the celeb-studded Riviera getaway spilled that she was definitely enjoying the paradise and pina coladas, perhaps a little bit too much.
So what does this mean for Lavigne’s upcoming album, which her Sum 41 husband was supposed to be helping her with?
Industry insiders say that although the two have already worked together on a few tracks for the CD, due out Nov. 17, Lavigne will be going ahead with it solo - just like her weekend in the Hamptons.
Reps for both Lavigne and Whibley didn’t respond to calls for comment.

I could barely care about these people except for the vague schadenfreude I feel because Avril and Deryck have always struck me as two of the biggest bratty, snotty, entitled poseurs ever. That being said, there have been rumors about Avril and Deryck for a while - as Avril parties without her husband constantly - and thus far they?ve been able to weather the storm. So is this report just another in a long line of dumb gossip about dumb people? Meh. It makes me happy to think that Avril is having a bad day.

Taking care of a few errands on a beautiful summer afternoon, Avril Lavigne was spotted out and about in West Hollywood yesterday (August 11).
The “Complicated” songstress hit up Turner’s Gil Fine Wine & Spirits to pick up some alcoholic beverages, perhaps getting a jump on the night’s festivities.
Avril looked to be in a good mood as she strolled past a flurry of shutterbugs, sporting a black and Pink hoodie with sunglasses, jeans, and flip flops.
Ms. Lavigne also sought out some new makeup while she was out, hitting up a nearby department store.

For a girl who’s happily married, Avril sure does enjoy partying without her husband. When she’s not having alcohol poured down her throat, she’s pouring alcohol down someone else’s throat. Here she is in Byblos last week with a guy who is not Deryck Whibley on her lap. A few publications say that Avril has been partying with Brandon Davis and friends while Deryck is on tour.
And why wouldn’t she? Deryck Whibley looks like he belongs in a zoo in an exhibit about how man evolved from ape. Hanging around Brandon Davis may be an upgrade considering he’s somewhat human. A very very greasy human teeming with disease, but at least he walks upright. It’d be like dragging a dead cat around as a pet and then replacing it with a mangy dog with rabies.

Taking full advantage of her beautiful surroundings, Avril Lavigne was spotted out for a walk on the beach in St. Tropez, France yesterday (August 3).
The “Complicated” chick looked a bit annoyed to see a few paparazzi waiting for her during her stroll, sporting a trucker cap and oversized sunglasses.
As for her next album, Ms. Lavigne has expressed her desire to calm things down a bit and try her hand at a rootsy-acoustic sound.
She explained, “A lot of the songs are mainly the acoustic and my vocal. It’s a lot different from anything I’ve done before. It’s not a pop-rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling.”
And while many of her contemporaries are going buck wild with collaborations, Avril says she’s keeping it simple. “I’m kind of just keeping it in the family with all of my close friends. I started this record off really slow, just writing songs at home on my piano. I didn’t work with a ton of people this time.”

While singer Avril Lavigne’s husband, Deryk Whibley, is on tour with his band, Sum 41, Avril isn’t sitting around waiting for him to come home. In fact, Avril’s been photographed partying her ass off in the French Riviera with none other than Paris Hilton’s and Mischa Barton’s ex-boyfriend, Brandon “Greasy Bear” Davis, oil heir and douchebag extraordinaire. The new photographs have kick-started another round of rumors about the stability of Avril and Deryk’s marriage.
While Derek Whibley was performing onstage with his band, Sum 41, his wife, Avril Lavigne, was spotted partying on the French Riviera with oil heir Brandon Davis, sparking rumors that the pair are getting closer by the day. Avril hit the scene in St. Tropez a few days after Brandon flew in on July 16.
“Brandon and Avril hang out together all of the time, but it’s unclear if Deryck is award of it,” a pal reveals. “Brandon and Avril are always careful not to be photographed together.”
Although a rep for Avril says that she and Brandon just happened to be at the same yacht party and Brandon is “just a friend,” an insider questions whether it’s really a coincidence that they were both here at the same time. In recent months, Avril and Brandon, 30, were spotted all over LA, including West Hollywood bar El Carmen, Pace restaurant, and partying at hotspot MyHouse.
But the French getaway definitely appeared to lift her spirits. Just days before, Avril, 24 and Deryck, 29, were having a more low-key time at Madeo in LA together. “She looked miserable when she was leaving,” says a witness.

I don’t know if I believe that Avril is getting romantic with Brandon Davis. First of all, Avril pretty much looks miserable all the time, except for when she is drunk off her ass. Oil heir or no, it would definitely be a downgrade on the celeb ladder to trade her rock star hubby in for Paris and Mischa’s sloppy seconds. I think she is just looking for someone as rich and connected as she is to drink and party with while her husband’s away. And maybe a drunken roll in the hey every once in a while - if she’s willing to risk exposure to the herp! I do wonder when she finds time to do all that charity work she is always talking about in between the shots and yacht parties, don’t you?

I have a very important question. When did Avril Lavigne get this kind of cleavage? And why wasn’t I informed? You’d think nobody read that stickie I posted that read: “Someone tell me when Avril Lavigne gets this kind of cleavage,” followed by a drawing of cleavage, the size of which was relatively similar to what’s on display in these pictures. So, what’s up guys? Was I not being clear?

'It's not a pop-rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling,' singer says of album slated for November.By Kyle Anderson

Avril Lavigne has made a career out of jumpy, raucous pop-punk anthems like "Sk8er Boi" and "Girlfriend." But on her upcoming fourth album, slated for November release, she will be taking a completely different approach to her music.
"A lot of the songs are mainly the acoustic and my vocal," Lavigne told Billboard.com. "It's a lot different from anything I've done before. It's not a pop-rock record. This is more about emotion and feeling."
Though the album still doesn't have a title, it does have a producer: Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, who also happens to be Lavigne's husband. Whibley handles production on eight of the record's planned 12 tracks, with the remainder of the album helmed by frequent collaborator Butch Walker (the former Marvelous 3 frontman who has co-written Lavigne hits like "My Happy Ending" and "When You're Gone").
"I'm kind of just keeping it in the family with all of my close friends," she said. "I didn't work with a ton of people this time."
At least one of the songs from the album is already making the rounds, albeit in truncated form: "Black Star" scores the just-released ad for Lavigne's fragrance of the same name. She's also celebrating the one-year anniversary of the launch of her clothing line, Abbey Dawn.
To match the quieter, stripped-down tone of the album, Lavigne plans on going on a theater tour in support of it. "I feel it will really suit this record," she said.
