Avril Lavigne has confirmed her much-heralded split from husband of three years Deryck Whibley.Rumours the couple were on the outs have been swirling for months - including accounts of Avril’s public displays of distain for her hubby - and now the Sk8ter Boi singer has made the separation official.A post on her official website reads:“Deryck and I have been together for 6 and a half years. “We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship. I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note. Thank you to all my family, friends and fans for all your support. Avril.” April and and Sum 41 rocker, Deryck, married in July 2006 in Montecito, California.

After more than three years of marriage, Avril Lavigne and her husband, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, are separating, according to a message posted late Thursday (September 17) on Lavigne's MySpace page.
"Deryck and I have been together for six-and-a-half years. We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship," the message reads. "I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note."
Lavigne concluded the message by thanking her family, friends and fans for their support.
The message (which was titled "Moving forward on a positive note") confirmed speculation that had run rampant in recent months that the couple's marriage was on the rocks. Earlier on Thursday, Us Weekly ran a story that cited a source as saying Lavigne had "dumped" Whibley and forced him to move out of their Bel Air, California, mansion, adding that "divorce papers will be filed any day now."
Lavigne and Whibley were married in July 2006 in a non-denominational ceremony held at a private estate in Montecito, California, and their partnership quickly extended into the field of music, as Whibley played on and produced parts of Lavigne's last album, 2007's The Best Damn Thing, and was reportedly working with her on the follow-up to that record.

After three years of marriage, Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley are officially separating douchenozzles. Us Weekly says
“She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on,” a source [says] adding that Lavigne, 25, forced him out of their $9.5 million [Bel Air] estate. “Divorce papers will be filed any day now.”
Whibley, 29, “is crushed,” adds another insider.
It’s not exactly shocking when two poser douchebags’ sham of a marriage dissolves like so many mushy turds on the follow-up flush. And speaking of turds, I’d like to take this opportunity to state that I’ve had farts with more dimension and depth than any of Avril’s crappy songs. Arista might really want to look into my asshole. It might be the next Sk8r Boi sensation!

Us Weekly is reporting that Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley are ending their three-year marriage. A source tells Us Weekly, ?She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on.” The source goes on to say that 25-year-old Avril has asked (?forced?) Deryck to leave their lavish Bel Air home, and added “Divorce papers will be filed any day now.” Another source told Us Weekly that 29-year-old Deryck is ?is crushed.? So far, neither Avril nor Deryck have confirmed the news, but I think it?s probably true.
Part of the reason I think it?s true is because Avril has been acting like a single girl for the better part of a year. She goes to lots of parties in New York and Los Angeles, gets drunk with Brandon ?Greasy Bear? Davis, and seems to have spent most of August in a drunken haze in the Hamptons. Less than a month ago, Gatecrasher printed some good gossip that Avril was looking ?anything but married? at a series of Hamptons hotspots, perhaps even hooking up with a series of interchangeable guys who didn?t mind her snotty attitude and puke breath.
In another interesting note, the National Enquirer had now-prescient story up a few days ago about Deryck ?begging? Avril to just stop partying and just settle down, have a baby, and work on their very troubled marriage. Here?s the Enquirer?s report:
“If you love me, you?ll have my baby!?
Avril Lavigne?s long-suffering husband, rocker Deryck Whibley, begged his wife to have a child with him to save their crumbling marriage ? but the ?Complicated? singer balked at the suggestion and set off on a new party path that?s driving them even further apart, say sources.
?I think Avril and Deryck are now just a divorce waiting to happen,? a longtime friend told The ENQUIRER. ?The poor guy thought a baby would bring them back together. He?s crazy in love with her. But Avril wants less responsibility, not more.It is as if she?s ready to pull the plug on their life together. She acts like she just wants to be free.?
The punk-rock couple, who married in 2006, seemed to be living separate lives for much of the last year. Deryck asked her to meet with him last month at their Los Angeles home in an attempt to work things out.
Although Deryck was in tears during the face-to-face, Avril was unmoved, says the friend.
The 24-year-old singer has been raising eyebrows with her cozy friendships with other men, such as troubled oil heir Brandon Davis and Dole Food heir Justin Murdock.
On Aug. 22, she was spotted at a Hamptons, N.Y. restaurant flirting with male admirers. She later partied like a single woman at Axe Lounge.
” She?s breaking Deryck?s heart,? the friend confided. ?He told Avril, ?I want a family. We belong together.?
But Avril immediately pulled away from him and has been partying ever since.?
Despite his wife?s strong rejection, Deryck still believes they can
“He?s told Avril how he feels,? added the friend. ?The rest is up to her.?

Yeah, I really think Avril wants out, and has wanted out for a while. She?s doesn?t give a crap about Deryck or her marriage. I feel for Deryck? just a little bit. While I?m sure he?s a tool too, I pity anyone whose had to put up with her for any length of time. Oh - and I?m pretty sure she?ll be in rehab at some point very soon. I think this girl?s issues aren?t just emotional. I?d bet she?s got some alcohol and drug abuse going on too.

There has been widespread speculation of a split for some time now, and according to a report Avril Lavigne and her husband Deryck Whibley are calling it quits.
An inside source has revealed that the “I’m With You” singer initiated the break after being married to the Sum 41 frontman for three years.
The pal told press, “She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on.” Avril is reportedly kicking Deryck out of their $9.5 million mansion.
“Divorce papers will be filed any day now,” the source continued. Lavigne’s rep isn’t returning calls, while Deryck’s spokesperson has had no comment.

Avril Lavigne was in New York promoting her clothing line, Abbey Dawn. As I look at these photos from her fashion show for her spring line of clothes, I can’t help but think of how anti-corporate Avril Lavigne used to be. Or at least it seemed that way to me. Not thatpeople can not change, but I just find her fashion line a little ironic. I am usually a big fan of Avril and her signature “look,” but I’m not digging her duds today. I’m sorry Avril, but I still have faith inyou.

24 year-old Canadian singer Avril Lavigne showed her punk princess fashion line, Abbey Dawn, at fashion week in New York yesterday. Celebrity guests at Avril’s clothing launch included infamous p0rn star Ron Jeremy, designer Tommy Hilfiger, entertainment reporter Maria Menounos, and Nicky Hilton. Abbey Dawn is available at Kohl’s department stores in the US and is affordably priced at $24 to $58 USD. It features plenty of faux-punk wear for tweens, with Pink and purple zebra, skull, and polka dot prints predominating. Hoodies, capri pants and shorts are emblazoned with tough sayings like “Rock ‘n Roll” and “Rock It.”
Last year, Avril explained that “the inspiration for Abbey Dawn came out of my closet. It?s who I am and what I think is cool and anything I?d wear.” She described her design process as something akin to mail ordering. “I can literally come up with anything I want to wear and then it?s made and I get it.?
The name “Abbey Dawn” is Avril’s nickname, given to her by her dad when she was a child. She says that she doesn’t just make clothing for kids though, and that “I?m making sure that I think people in their 20s are going to wear it because it?s going to be a sexy fit, not just, ?Oh, T-shirts and hoodies.? The hoodies are slimming. It?s not a thick, bulky material.” So 20 year-olds are more likely to wear hoodies with doofy prints and dumb sayings on them if they are slim fitting, did I get that right? What about that terrible black pleather jacket with the Pink leopard print lining that the middle model in the top photo is wearing? Would anyone over the age of 13 be caught out in that other than at a costume party?

Showing off the latest looks of her Abbey Dawn line, Avril Lavigne was spotted hamming it up at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week last night (September 14).
The “Complicated” songstress looked lovely as she posed for the paparazzi outside Style 360 in a punk-inspired black dress teamed with a pair of black Converse All-Stars.
Of her new collection, Avril told press it will include “a lot of hot pinks and blacks and stars and purple and zebra. Basically, everything I wear. I have a very particular style.”
She continued, “What’s really important to me is that everything fits well and is well-made, so I try everything on and approve it all. I’m making sure that I think people in their 20s are going to wear it because it’s going to be a sexy fit, not just, ‘Oh, T-shirts and hoodies.’ The hoodies are slimming. It’s not a thick, bulky material.”

It seemed like only yesterday Avril Lavigne, 25, and Deryck Whibley, 29, were spitting at and flipping off the paparazzi. Alas, the honeymoon might be over. Avril has been out as of late partying without the cro-magnon. Not just regular partying either, but having alcohol poured down her throat by strange men partying. Gatecrasher says,
A spy at celebrity eatery Georgica indeed saw Lavigne getting away – but hardly spending any time alone. Instead, says the onlooker, she was partying hard and hanging with a number of male admirers. Only later in the evening did Lavigne get paranoid about what the nearby paparazzi may have captured on film. “She kept running up to the photographers and asking to see the pictures they took,” says one partygoer. (We’ve noticed that those photos have mysteriously disappeared from at least one site on which they were posted.)
Lavigne continued her Saturday night at another Hamptons hot spot, Axe Lounge, where she danced the night – and perhaps her rocky marriage – away.
The time is coming when Avril will be without a partner in crime. Maybe she won’t regret it now, in a week or even a year, but one day she’ll remember back to when they used to spit on photogs. She’ll attempt to recreate that fond memory only to be overcome by sadness mid-spit leaving the accumulated saliva to dribble down her chin while she looks out her rolled down window longingly. Sigh, two middle fingers just don’t seem the same anymore.
