Jennifer Lawrence has not talked a lot about her fiance Cooke Maroney. They met last year, fell in love and got engaged several months ago, and they?re reportedly planning a summer wedding, probably in Kentucky but who knows. We know Cooke works for a New York art gallery and we know that Jennifer seems happy. While she was promoting X-Men: Dark Phoenix, she also said vague words about how Cooke is the ?best person I?ve ever met in my whole life,? which makes him sound like a firefighter or a brain surgeon or something. I mean, it?s possible he?s a really good guy, but also: from what little we know of him, he sounds like a dude who came from a wealthy family and now works in the art world. So I was interested in hearing how else Jennifer would describe this dude and? well, she keeps going on about how he?s the greatest guy she?s ever met. It?s very? weird. But at least her wedding plans sound no-drama.
Jennifer Lawrence isn?t sweating her wedding planning. The 28-year-old star opened up to friend and former E! News reporter Catt Sadler on this week?s podcast Naked with Catt Sadler about organizing her wedding to fianc Cooke Maroney. Lawrence revealed she wasn?t nervous about her wedding day ? and that she?s already picked out a dress.
?I?ve been in a good place,? she said. ?I haven?t been neurotic about it. I?m like too lazy to be neurotic. I saw a dress I liked and I was like, ?That?s the dress.? I saw a venue and I was like, ?Cool, we got a venue.?
Though she?s been taking wedding planning in stride, Lawrence said she had one ?bridezilla moment? recently, while organizing her bachelorette party. ?I thought I didn?t want to have a bachelorette party, and then last minute I decided I did. Then nobody was available because it was last minute. And then I started crying. I was like, ?I don?t even know why I?m crying. I didn?t know that I wanted a bachelorette party. I guess I just feel pathetic.? [Maroney] was like, ?Oh my god, you don?t need to feel pathetic.?
The Oscar-winning actress also gushed about Maroney, 34, saying, ?He?s the greatest human being I?ve ever met. He really is, and he gets better. He?s the greatest person I?ve ever met, so I feel very honored to become a Maroney.?

Jennifer Lawrence and her new face (???) haven?t been giving many interviews to promote X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Dark Phoenix is actually the end of this particular era in the X-Men franchise, and everyone assumes that this is J-Law?s last outing as Mystique. Which is fine with me after First Class, they had no clue what to do with the Mystique character and it felt like they were just so excited to have this Oscar-winning actress in the role that they just threw Mystique into increasingly stupid stories. Anyway. On the red carpet for the premiere, Jennifer did speak to Entertainment Tonight. She chatted about her engagement and the end of (her) Mystique.
Getting engaged to Cooke Maroney was an easy decision for Jennifer Lawrence. ETs Nischelle Turner spoke with the 28-year-old actress at the premiere of her movie, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday, where she opened up about her new relationship status and why Maroney was the one.
Well, hes just the best person Ive ever met in my whole life, Lawrence said of her fiance. It was a very, very easy decision.
Lawrence walked the red carpet solo at Tuesdays premiere, celebrating what is likely her last movie for the X-Men franchise.
[Sophie Turner] absolutely did [give Mystique a good ending], she shared. Thats not a lie. Thats true. She really did. The actress has played Mystique since 2011s X-Men: First Class, and joked to ET that all that blue has made her ready to take a break from full-body makeup for a while. I dont even think Ill do aging makeup ever just nothing. Stop painting my face, except for this, she said. I was blown away, really. They did not hold back with the ending of this movie, and it was quite emotional. If you watch the series of the movies, youll see theres like, writing around my blue. The first movie I ended like, Mutant and proud! And then the second movie, I was like, I changed my mind. Its tough. Its a long time in the makeup chair.

I heard some kind of weird rumor that Rebecca Romijn had to spend much more time in the makeup chair for Mystique, and by the time J-Law took the role, they had worked out several shortcuts, like what is basically a skintight blue bodysuit rather than makeup. But whatever, I bet it still sucks to get blue?d. Re: Cooke Maroney being an ?easy decision? I mean? sure. I want to hope for the best here. This is her first engagement, and I hope that they?ll be very happy.

I didn?t want to say this on Monday, when we discussed the Jennifer Lawrence photos from the polo event over the weekend, but? Jennifer Lawrence has definitely tweaked her face, right? In the polo photos, I thought she just looked very well-rested and slim, like she?d lost some weight in her face. But in these photos of J-Law at last night?s Dark Phoenix premiere, she looks? different. What has she done? Something with her chin, maybe? Her nose? Her eyes? She still looks like J-Law, but just slightly off. Jennifer wore Dior to the premiere and I actually love this dress and I wish she had saved it for a bigger carpet. This would have looked amazing at an awards show. I also wish she had done a different hair look here, but I suspect the hair will be the ?excuse? for why she looks different.
Sophie Turner in Louis Vuitton. She?s got a Louis Vuitton contract and I hate that she?s obligated to wear this to her big premiere. This dress sucks.
Jessica Chastain in Toni Maticevski- a jumpsuit with a train. And bangs! And a cast! I wonder what she did to her wrist. The jumpsuit is not great. At all.
Michael Fassbender with long hair and a light summer suit. Whatever happened to his dark sexual energy? He just seems so blah these days.
Nicholas Hoult truly looks amazing in this 1986 women?s suit from Liz Claiborne.
James McAvoy looks SO GOOD these days.

Out of seemingly nowhere, here are some photos of Jennifer Lawrence at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic over the weekend. This event usually gets some solid B-list guests/attendees, but I was not expecting J-Law to turn up. Incidentally, Jennifer is in Dark Phoenix, the latest X-Men movie. It?s mostly been Sophie Turner, Jessica Chastain, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy promoting the film, but I guess Jennifer had some contractual promotion for it too. Convenient that she turned up at a polo game then!
Anyway, Jennifer has been enjoying a relatively quiet year off. When she?s in promotional mode, she?s everywhere and she tends to oversaturate the market, mostly because she gives such good interviews and her quotes end up everywhere. But she has been quiet for a year, living in New York and and getting engaged to Cooke Maroney and (apparently) planning her big summer wedding. Page Six ran a very curious ?what has she been up to? piece which was, like, weirdly shady about Jennifer, with all of these weird little asides about Harvey Weinstein and more. On Jennifer?s year off: ?No one would say that when you?re as big a star as Jennifer that you should take a year off, it?s not that sensible,? one Hollywood insider told The Post. ?But she has all of that ?Hunger Games? money and she can afford to sit back.?
Her relationship with Cooke Maroney: He?s the director of the Gladstone 64 art gallery on the Upper East Side. The two are set to marry later this year, and sources expect the couple?s families to be very involved. Maroney?s parents, art dealer James Maroney and Suki Fredericks, own Vermont?s Oliver Hill Farm ? a popular wedding venue. The couple have been apartment hunting in Manhattan and, according to a source close to Lawrence, will make efforts to stay connected while she is working: ?Jen and Cooke have a very happy, trusting relationship. I can see them taking time out to travel together, with Cooke joining Jen on set.?
She?s been working, just not in front of the camera: ?Jennifer may not have been acting this year, but she has a ton of producing projects that she?s been working on,? said the close source.
Her next films: According to sources, ?Dark Phoenix? will be Lawrence?s final role in the X-Men franchise. But in the coming weeks, she is scheduled to start filming a project in New Orleans with acclaimed theater director Lila Neugebauer, playing a soldier who suffers a traumatic brain injury in Afghanistan. After that, she is slated to star as disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes in the movie adaptation of the book ?Bad Blood.? ?Movies are Jennifer?s priority,? said the close source.
She?s ?happy? to put distance between herself and Harvey Weinstein: ?Jennifer?s her own woman,? said the Hollywood insider. ?Even when she won the Oscar, she never attended Harvey?s annual Oscar parties in the years after she won. And this is where all the A-listers went to ?kiss the ring.?? In fact, Lawrence didn?t even thank Weinstein during her Academy Awards acceptance speech, though she called the glaring omission a ?brain fart? weeks later. ?At the GLAAD Awards in 2013, she had to appear on stage to give Bill Clinton an award with Harvey and she couldn?t seem to get away from Harvey quickly enough afterwards,? added the movie insider. ?He asked her to join him for drinks and she was like ?no, I?m good.? She was clearly distancing herself from him. She always saw Harvey for who he really was.?
Her future plans: Even though she?s returning to movies, friends say Lawrence will continue working in politics. They add that she is looking forward to having kids with Maroney ? though not just yet. Said a pal of the star?s: ?Jennifer has a big career and the thing about Cooke is that he will help her navigate the stuff in Hollywood that doesn?t really matter.?

That?s so stupidly shady, my God. She?s famous for more than Hunger Games, and she can walk into any studio and get an eight-figure paycheck. She was burned out and she took some time off to get her head straight. It wasn?t about money or what she can ?afford? to do. As for the Weinstein stuff it?s been a year and a half and I can?t believe we?re still treating the women who worked with Weinstein as somehow complicit in his crimes.

Not even one full month ago, we learned that Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney had gotten engaged. I think the engagement leaked out organically, and Jennifer?s rep was quick to confirm. That was the first week of February. The only thing that?s happened since then is a few low-key dinner outings with Jennifer and Cooke, and it?s clear that they weren?t trying to flaunt their love or do some kind of engagement tour. Until now! Jennifer had to fly to Paris for the Dior show she?s one of the biggest names repping Dior and she brought Cooke with her. Well, not to the show. Jen left that bitch at the hotel while she collected her Dior coins. But they went out later, after the show.
These photos are of Jennifer at the Dior show there was a little photocall for all of the Dior ladies, and of course photographers wanted to get a clear shot of her engagement ring, which she was wearing. Tuesday afternoon/evening was when Page Six first reported the rumor that Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney got engaged. It was soon confirmed by her rep, and many outlets ran ?Who Is Cooke Maroney?? pieces Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. Then last night, Cooke and Jennifer stepped out for dinner at Il Buco in New York. PASTA. They got some Italian food, good. Gotta carb-load!
I actually love the vibe of this so many newly-engaged couples step out for what are obvious pap-strolls to ?show off the ring? and give the press new photos of them for all of their reporting. If that?s what this is, I like Jennifer?s ?leave me alone? vibe. She?s wearing pants, not bridal white. It also looks like she turned her engagement ring around on her finger so we wouldn?t be able to judge the size of diamond (which is reportedly quite big). I believe that she didnt want to be photographed last night.
As for all of those pieces about ?who is Cooke Maroney,? I?ll summarize some stuff: he is the director of the Gladstone gallery and he represents a lot of high-end artists like Anish Kapoor and Richard Prince; he?s a regular at high-end art opening and he hangs out in the Hamptons. He rents an apartment in Tribeca. He grew up in Middlebury, Vermont and he has a degree in Art History from NYU (he graduated in 2007). He?s a Democrat. I?ve seen people claiming that he?s rich or his family is rich or he?s ?old money,? but I haven?t seen any evidence that he comes from a crazy-wealthy family. Don?t get me wrong, I think he probably comes from an upper-middle class or even wealthy family, but I?ve seen no indication that he?s, like, a secret Rockefeller or something.

I bring up Anne Hathaway and Adam because I think that?s happening with Jennifer Lawrence. J-Law split from Darren Aronofsky in late 2017. She was single for a few months, then she quietly began seeing Cooke Maroney, an ?art dealer? type in New York. They?ve been quietly doing each other for maybe about eight months, tops. Which is forever in Hollywood years, so let?s get married.
Jennifer Lawrence and her boyfriend Cooke Maroney may be making it official soon. Page Six can exclusively reveal that the two were spotted having a cozy dinner at Raoul?s and Lawrence was rocking a ?massive ring? on her finger.

We can go months without hearing about them, which is probably why I keep forgetting that they?re a thing. Anyway, Us Weekly has a vague update: Cooke and Jen are in it for the long haul. Or something.

Jennifer Lawrence has been doing press the past few weeks because she?s promoting her latest advertising contract: she?s the face of Dior?s Joy perfume. I have no idea what it smells like perfume peeps, does it smell good? I like a light floral or anything that smells really clean and soapy. Sometimes I go for a dark, earthy scent, especially in winter. Anyway, because Jennifer is Jennifer, very little of her promotional interviews are actually about perfume. They?re about? everything else, really. She chatted with InStyle about beauty, fashion, diets and more. You can read the full piece here. Some highlights:
She?s not convinced that she?s pretty: ?When I was growing up, my brothers used to tell me I was ugly. Butt-ugly, to be exact. One time I went into the kitchen and said, ?Mom, am I pretty?? And she said, ?It doesn?t matter.? She refused to answer! I was fortunate to go through a lot of my life without being too concerned about my appearance.?
Her style: ?Um, ?90s sex worker who?s just won her case in court. I like the style of the ?90s ? a little bit androgynous but also elegant. I love mixing it up.?
Her craziest hair moment: ?One time I went on a cruise, and I chopped it all off. And I remember that [when I got back to school] I went into the gymnasium and the whole place went quiet because I had this full-blown curly ?fro. It was the worst haircut of my life. But I still go through phases when I want to cut off all my hair.
Skin care: ?Well, I have really dry skin, so I wear night cream even during the day. I?m also really, really good about sunblock. And, in theory, I get microdermabrasion once a month, although that?s one of those things I always find myself postponing.
When she feels the most beautiful: ?Honestly, when I?m at my most disciplined. Like, when I?m really making myself go to the gym. Which is a joke, because I definitely pay more for canceled workouts than actual ones. But when I?m there and running on the treadmill, that?s when I feel most powerful.
Unrealistic beauty standards: ?I just like it when everyone?s honest. If you are 20 pounds underweight and talk about eating pizza and fried chicken all the time, that?s not going to make people feel good about themselves. If I?m going to the Oscars or having a movie premiere ? I won?t lie ? I?m probably eating differently from how I would in my regular life to fit into those dresses. And I feel comfortable saying that.
Whether she?s on social media: ?I?m on it. But I?m a voyeur: I watch, I don?t speak. There is always so much backlash. So many people are listening and paying attention, and they have so many opinions about absolutely everything. I really don?t want to welcome that unless it?s absolutely necessary. I don?t want to put myself out there for no reason. Unless I?m promoting something or something really burns my onions, you won?t hear from me.
What she?s learned in her 28 years: ?Everything gets better as you get older. It?s easier to cut through things, and everything gets simplified. Physically, everything gets worse. Like, why does my neck hurt? Why are my knees cracking? But emotionally, it gets better.

Just wait until she stands up and something on her body cracks and she doesn?t even know what it was. Hint: that recently happened to me. I stood up and it felt like every joint cracked simultaneously and there was a series of loud pops. As for the rest of it, she sounds fine. She?s right about a lot of things you should be honest about your diet, you should do what makes you comfortable, and ?90s style was absolutely the best. I wish ?90s style would come back with a vengeance. Also: ??Mom, am I pretty?? And she said, ?It doesn?t matter.?? SAVAGE.
