Stepping out for a promotional appearance, Blake Lively was spotted at a press conference for ?The Green Lantern? in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (June 7).
The ?Gossip Girl? actress was all smiles in her bright yellow dress as she fielded questions at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
In her interview with InStyle magazine, Blake explained the ins and outs of her character Carol in the film.
?Carol is a really appealing character in this film, and it?s rare because you never see a female get to also be the hero. She?s not a damsel in distress. Hal [Ryan Reynolds] doesn?t swoop in and save her. Often she pushes him. He?s inherited a lot of responsibility, and he?s not sure he wants it. He?s not a superman ? he?s just a man, and he has his weaknesses.?
Lively also chatted about her chemistry with Ryan. ?Yeah, I mean, whenever you do those screen tests, you always just say, ?Well, there?s only so much I can do, but I hope something clicks.? And it did. We were very lucky to be able to have that. But I can?t give too much credit to that because I?ve never met anybody who doesn?t click with Ryan. Everyone likes him.?

Here?s how everything went down last week: first, the initial batch of nude photos of ?Blake Lively? came out. Blake?s rep denied that Blake was in the photos. Then the second batch of photos came out, and her rep still stuck to the same denial, only this time the denial barely got any coverage because people have eyes. Then, Blake is pap?d on a boat with Leonardo DiCaprio in Venice. She looks worried and pensive? yet breezy. You can see the photos here. That was Blake?s real response to the photo scandal - ?Yeah, you?ve seen my boobs, but I still landed Mr. Hollywood. JELLUS?? Next up: Blake makes an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards. She didn?t back out, which I give her credit for, and she stood tall even though she became the butt of some jokes and some bitchiness from Reese Witherspoon. Personally (and I know many of you don?t agree with me), I though Reese looked like a bitchy, hypocritical prude while Blake earned some sympathy from me. But that?s just me - I admire her hustle, and I think Blake?s nude photos will end up helping her career.
Anyway, it?s looking more and more like Blake doesn?t need my sympathy. She and Leonardo must have flown from Italy to LA together, and Leo joined her later that night? at Disneyworld. Ugh.
Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio just wrapped up an ultra-luxe, mega-romantic jaunt on the French Riviera and other Euro hotspots. What’d they do for an encore? They went to Disneyland!
After Lively, 23, made an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards (showing up on the red carpet and presenting onstage with Green Lantern costar Ryan Reynolds), the actress was spotted later that night with DiCaprio, 35, and a group of pals (most of them in their 20s) at the Anaheim, Calif. park.
According to a Disneyland witness, the hot new twosome and their entourage were escorted via private entrance to the front of the line on the “StarTours” ride past 11 p.m.. The Gossip Girl starlet wore a knit smock and a face-concealing hat, while DiCaprio donned jeans, windbreaker and a hat. The group — seen taking photos of one another with their phones — enjoyed their own private ride on the Star Wars-themed simulation ride, according to the observer.
After midnight, the VIP crew was spotted again (with a guest relations tourguide) hanging outside the penny arcade on “Main Street.” A little while later, with the park all but empty, the witness spotted to group “chattering and laughing” during a stroll through Downtown Disney back to their hotel.
Just last Thursday, Lively and DiCaprio were spotted on a water taxi in Venice, Italy, following numerous, luxe stops in Monte Carlo, Saint-Paul de Vence, France, and elsewhere.
“I’ve never seen him like this with a girl,” one DiCaprio source told Us Weekly.

Here?s my question: why is Blake so different from the other girls Leo has dated in the past? I seriously don?t remember Leo EVER being down with having this kind of relationship, out in public with sometimes daily updates. My best guess is that Blake is simply incredibly good in bed.

On one side, I kind of admire Blake Lively for showing up to the MTV Movie Awards knowing that every single person in the theater and at home was looking at her like ?Yeah, I?ve seen every inch of your bolt-ons, et cetera.? For a self-conscious woman, that would be painful, but for someone with extreme confidence in her assets, maybe it?s fine. So Blake showed up last night for the MTV Movie Awards as a presenter. She did her duties with Ryan Reynolds, because they?re both starring in the soon-to-be released Green Lantern. Incidentally, Blake is still nearly non-existent in trailers for the film, but after this T&A explosion, something tells me that she?ll be front and center during promotion, right?
Anyway, Blake wore this Michael Kors dress that hugged every (man-made?) curve. I like the dress. I like the dress on Blake too - it?s bright, it compliments her coloring, and it?s flattering. What I hate: the shoes. I get that Blake didn?t want to go matchy-matchy for the shoes, but these shoes simply don?t work with the Kors.
Also: I swear a watched a chunk of the show, but I missed the cracks on Blake. Apparently, Jason Sudeikis (how unfunny and hack-y was he?) introduced Blake with “Someone that we believe is the real Blake Lively though she won’t confirm it.” And Reese Witherspoon made a cut on Blake too, saying, ?If you take naked pictures of yourself with your cell phone, you hide your face!? You know what? I kind of feel like I expect more from Reese. I mean, she didn?t have to go up there and be so judgy, you know? They’re just boobs.

Stepping out for a swanky evening, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were spotted presenting an award together at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards this evening (June 5).
The ?Van Wilder? stud and the ?Gossip Girl? gal looked fabulous as they worked the podium, both dressed to the nines and playing off of each other as they handed the golden popcorn trophy to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Ryan and Blake?s superhero film ?The Green Lantern? is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on June 17th.
The 2011 MTV Movie Awards is hosted by Jason Sudeikis and features performances by Lupe Fiasco and Foo Fighters.

Enjoying some quality time together, Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively were seen out in Venice, Italy yesterday (June 2).
The ?Catch Me If You Can? stud and the ?Town? babe took a water taxi together, with Blake chatting on her mobile phone while Leo directed the driver.
And it sounds like things are heating up between these two lovebirds, as Leo recently introduced Blake as his ?girlfriend? when attending a Grand Prix viewing bash aboard a yacht.
According to a close friend, DiCaprio has fallen head over heels for his ?Gossip Girl.? ?I?ve never seen him like this with a girl.?

Here are some fully-clothed shots of Blake Lively?s photo shoot for Glamour Magazine. She?s their July cover girl, probably to promote her supporting part in The Green Lantern. The photo shoot is? well, I think she looks pretty in most of the shots, but JESUS CHRIST, someone tell this chick to close her mouth. I don?t mean that I want her to stop talking - she gives a good interview - I?m talking about getting her to PHYSICALLY shut her mouth while posing her photos. It?s The Open-Mouth Syndrome (also known as “Beej-Face”) that is running rampant throughout young Hollywood. Blake might even have it worse than Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson combined.
Anyway, obviously, this interview was conducted before Blake and Leonardo DiCaprio officially became a couple in the south of France last month, so there are no quotes about HOW she won The DiCaprio?s Heart and Loins. Go here to read the full Glamour piece, and here are some highlights:

On being her own stylist: ?You know, my mom modeled and made clothes, so I always had such an appreciation for design. And then Gossip Girl completely blew open the door to fashion for me. I?d go to fashion shows and call my publicist and say, ?Can I wear that?? I think I became my own stylist by not knowing any better. And once I was told it was time to get one, I thought: This is one of my favorite hobbies! And I?m going to pay someone to steal my hobby from me? That?s a terrible idea!
Being nervous at her first Met Gala: ?You?re referring to this beautiful teal Versace dress that I wore. I loved that dress, but I am far too shy to walk around in a dress like that with a slit up to my neck. So I thought, The only way I can wear this is to pretend I?m someone else. Who is somebody who completely owns her sexuality? I thought, Marilyn Monroe! So I?m going to be Marilyn Monroe tonight.?
On getting ready for an event: I like it to be easy. I don?t feel like I have to do so much with hair and makeup, because I?m the mannequin for these beautiful clothes, so I never want to do anything too distracting. Most of the time, I put my hair in a ballerina bun, and I take it down and it?s wavy, and then I leave. I feel shy when people are fussing on me. And my diet of choice before events is a chicken potpie from Tea & Sympathy, because they never have enough food at these things.?
On breakups: ?Every relationship you have, you?re learning and growing and taking something from that. So for me, it?s never been too dramatic of a thing when something ends.?
Working on The Town: That?s the real me?that?s what you don?t know! [Laughs.] No, I?m drawn to those roles because [they?re so] rare, especially for someone my age. Women in film are often the prizes for the men and nowhere near as layered or complex as the men get to be. My character in The Town was written for a 37-year-old. I had to fight for that role. But also, I?m not this super-tortured soul, so it?s fun to be able to go there.
Being confident: Well, I have a strong sense of myself. That gives me a sense of security, you know? If I define myself by things that are always changing, like the public?s opinion or what I?m wearing or what job I?m doing, there?s no stability in that.

I?ve seen The Town several times, and I?m here to tell you that Blake really isn?t any good in it. Some actors? performances grow on you through repeated viewings - like, I thought Ben Affleck did a much better job the second time I watched The Town. But after the first time, you just realize how miscast Blake was in that role, and then you start to wonder what the hell she had to do to get the part. Oh, Blake. So much ambition, so little actual talent.

These pics are supposedly from Gossip Girl actress in Blake Lively’s spread in next month’s Glamour magazine, but I don’t know if it’s really her. On one hand, she hasn’t publicly denied the photos’ authenticity yet, so maybe they are real. On the other hand, her mole looks kinda different, and I’m pretty sure she parts her hair on the other side, and I also vaguely remember her wearing a blouse like that in Spain in August of 2007, so it could very well be the work of photoshop. The only way we’ll know for sure is to compare these with the leaked nude pics from last night, because if there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s that those are for damn sure Blake Lively, no matter what her rep might try and tell the press. I’m sure it’s just a “coincidence” that her new movie happens to open next week.

This morning there was a curious little item in Page Six about how Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio were spotted together in Cannes late one night. I bought the story, mainly because I think Blake is working her ass off to ensure that she?s Leo?s Next Girlfriend. Because that?s a role she actually pull off, you know? Acting is SO HARD. Can?t she just lay around in a bikini beside Leo? Anyway, these are new photos of Blake and Leo together, FINALLY. I think he?s been riding her (I?m being blunt, I know, but it?s true) for months, and these are the first photos we have of them looking couple-y.
Here?s what I think: I think Leo either knew or didn?t care that he was being photographed. He?s on a yacht or something, chilling with his boys and with Steven Spielberg. So maybe he just really likes Blake?s technique, or maybe she looks better in a bikini than most models (true story), or maybe? I don?t even know. Whatever it was, Leo decided that he was okay with publicly, officially declaring Blake his Next One with this photo op.
Lainey doesn?t think it?s happening. I just think Leo isn?t big on PDA. The hug was enough. The hug says, ?I?m happy to be in the same frame with this chick, think whatever you want.? And look at Blake?s face. She knows she just won the prize! This is bigger than any movie role, honestly. The chance to be The Girlfriend. It?s all she ever dreamt of. I?m kind of rooting for her, honestly. I hated Leo and Bar. I hope Blake manages to figure it out.
PS? I love the photo where Blake is telling a story and all of the dudes are watching her! Spielberg is all ?Seriously, Leo? This bitch??
