Never one to shy away from a swanky affair, Amy Adams attended the Hollywood Reporter?s Big 10 Party at the Getty House in Los Angeles, CA on Thursday (February 24).
The ?Enchanted? actress looked beautiful in a black and white sleeveless dress and heels as she happily posed for pictures before heading inside for the party.
With the 83rd Annual Academy Awards approaching this Sunday (February 27) it was recently announced that Ms Adams has been added to the list of celebrity presenters.
This year, Amy also scored an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Charlene Fleming in David O. Russell?s ?The Fighter.?

Making the most of her Monday, Amy Adams was spotted out at the Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood 2011?s Kick Off with Chrysler at The District on Sunset last night (February 21).
The ?Charlie Wilson?s War? chick looked snazzy in a black dress as she celebrated her film ?The Fighter? ahead of this weekend?s Academy Awards.
Speaking of which, Amy revealed her plans for Oscar day, as she?s nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
?I?m going to hang out with my little girl this time around. It?s special because I have a daughter now and she can see Mommy and all of that.?

Turning into a red carpet pro, Amy Adams worked her magic as she turned up for the Orange British Academy Film Awards 2011 in London, England on Sunday (February 13).
Held at The Royal Opera House, the 26-year-old actress dazzled as she worked the press area prior to showtime at the annual UK movie extravaganza.
During the show, Miss Adams will be facing off against Helena Bonham Carter, Barbara Hershey, Lesley Manville and Miranda Richardsaon for Best Supporting Actress honors for her work in the movie "The Fighter".
The ceremony sees Jonathan Ross as host for the fifth year while being broadcast on BBC1.
Of the event, Deputy Bafta chairman David Parfitt was high on British films this year around, as he said, "British film has always punched above its weight in the film world. British film is always quite well represented in the Oscars as well as the Baftas."
"It's not that we have a particular bias. British film in general plays well around the world because it's very good."

Stepping out for a swanky evening, Amy Adams made her arrival at the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards tonight (January 30).
The ?Leap Year? hottie sported a fabulous frock as she mingled with fellow celebrities at the Shrine Exposition Theatre.
Amy is up for the Best Supporting Actress award for her outstanding performance in the critically-acclaimed ?The Fighter.?
Additionally, she?s on the illustrious list of presenters, along with Annette Bening, Jeff Bridges, Jon Hamm, Cory Monteith, Mila Kunis, Sofia Vergara, and Josh Duhamel.

Drawing an end to the weekend with a relaxing family outing, Amy Adams was spotted out for breakfast at Starbucks in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 23).
The "Fighter" actress was joined by her two favorite people, fiance Darren and baby daughter Aviana, as the trio met a few friends for the casual sitdown meal.
Currently in the midst of filming "The Muppets" movie, Miss Adams recently spoke with press about how strongly she's been enjoying motherhood since welcoming Aviana into the world last May.
She dished, ?I highly recommend having children -? It felt like exactly what my body was supposed to do at that point. More than anything ever, it just felt physically right being pregnant."
The 36-year-old continued, ?My friends without kids say, ?Oh I don?t know how you do it, getting so tired.? And I just think, ?I don?t know how they don?t do it.? It?s a huge relief not being the most important person in the room anymore. I hadn?t realized quite how sick of myself I?d become.?

Always looking ever-so-elegant, Amy Adams joined in the fun at the 16th annual Critics' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California on Friday (January 14).
Held at the Hollywood Palladium, the 26-year-old beauty confidently worked the red carpet before heading inside for the swanky festivities.
Always praised for her work, Miss Adams was up for Best Supporting Actress for her work in "The Fighter" though she ended up losing out to Melissa Leo.
As for the ceremony, Kristin Chenoweth was the host for the Critics' Choice Awards - which premiere with a live broadcast on VH1 beginning at 9PM ET/PT.

My mother?s pretty princess Cinderella, otherwise known as Amy Adams, is the cover girl for the February issue of InStyle UK. Now, my mother (and yours too, you know) may love the hell out of Amy, but the chick is a boring interview. She?s just so normal and well-adjusted and so not a famewhore in any way, shape or form. She?s a breath of fresh air, and she?s a wonderful actress. But, she?s a crappy interview. Anyway, in the excerpts I?ve found, she just talks about the baby weight from being pregnant with little Aviana:
She previously insisted she is in no rush to lose her baby weight - but Amy Adams how now confessed that she felt at her most beautiful when she was pregnant. The Oscar-nominated actress, who gave birth to her daughter Aviana eight months ago, told InStyle magazine that motherhood had changed her. And she added that having a child had brought out her softer side, and made her more vulnerable.
‘I can’t say, ‘I don’t care,” she said of being a mother. ‘I can’t be tough. There’s no truth to it. I love her. I need her in my life. I can’t pretend otherwise.’
As well as the interview, the 36-year-old showed just how much weight she had lost in a series of stunning photographs, styled by the magazine’s senior fashion editor Natalie Hartley. In the pictures, Amy poses in a series of fitted dresses and high heels, showing off an enviably slim figure. But despite this, she confessed in the interview that she has yet to lose all of her baby weight - and also revealed how much she enjoyed the pregnancy.
‘I never felt more beautiful than when I was pregnant,’ Amy said. ‘Because it wasn’t about me. The whole purpose of my body was no longer to fit into a sample size. It was to nurture another being. So I always felt great, no matter what I was wearing.’
Amy, who shot to stardom as Princess Giselle in Enchanted, could well be in line to add a third Oscar nomination to add to those she has already received for the films Junebug and Doubt, for her latest role as a feisty barmaid in The Fighter. The film, which also stars Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg, tells the true story of boxer ‘Irish’ Micky Ward and the brother who helped train him before he launched his professional career in the 1980s.
Amy said that one of the high points of the project for her was having the chance to work with Bale, whom she described as ‘awesome’. However she shares much of her screen time with Wahlberg, who plays Micky, and with whom her character becomes romantically involved.
‘David (O’Russell, the director), puts kisses into every scene,’ Amy said. ‘He said ‘okay now kiss, but like really kiss’. Mark was so sweet, he kept saying sorry because David didn’t want beautiful or soft kisses, he wanted sloppy Eighties music video kisses!’ she joked.

I love the way she describes the screen kisses - ?sloppy Eighties music video kisses?. That cracks me up, because we all know that kiss, right? The one where your whole friggin? face is wet, and it?s not hot, AT ALL. God, I cannot stand a guy with a sloppy mouth, I really can?t. It?s one of my peeves. You think Mark Wahlberg is a sloppy kisser? I doubt it, actually.

Actress Amy Adams has a new interview and Christmas photo spread with Parade Magazine. I love Amy and enjoy reading her interviews, but I have to say that her holiday photos are super cheesy. It’s like they’re channeling her Enchanted persona for Christmas. You get the impression that she’s somewhat like that, though, and that this photoshoot is closer to her real personality than any sexy half-dressed generic starlet spread.
Most outlets are pointing out that Amy is saying she’s not in a hurry to lose the weight she gained while she was pregnant. She’s filled out a little, sure, but I barely see the weight on her. You can tell that she’s not stick thin, but that’s about it. In Parade, Adams also talks about her relationship with her fiance, how they work out their differences and co-parent their daughter Aviana, 7 months.
Adams is promoting her role in The Fighter, alongside Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it earns her another Oscar nomination.
On the holidays
“There was always a lot of energy around my house during the holidays growing up–a lot of food, a lot of football. The whole season has a magical feeling for me that I don’t think ever goes away,” says this middle child of seven kids, who grew up mostly in Colorado and whose parents split when she was 11. As she does every December, she’ll call her dad to get the recipe for the family’s traditional Banana Ice (a frozen whipped concoction featuring bananas, orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, ice, and Sprite or 7-Up). This year, she’s also looking forward to starting some new traditions: “Just little things, like a certain candy in a certain dish,” she says. “I find that it’s the simple things that remind you of family around the holidays.”
How she realized she was pregnant
Adams realized she was starting her own family one morning when she tugged at her refrigerator door. “I saw almond milk in the fridge–Darren drinks it, but I’d never tasted it–and it triggered an animal response,” she recalls. “I was like, ‘I need that,’ and I drank the entire carton in 10 minutes. I looked at Darren and said, ‘I think…yeah, I’m pregnant.’”
On finding pregnancy liberating
She describes the months that followed as one of the most liberating periods of her life. “Being pregnant finally helped me understand what my true relationship was with my body–meaning that it wasn’t put on this earth to look good in a swimsuit,” she says (though anyone who saw her 2008 pictorial homage to Rita Hayworth in Vanity Fair might disagree). “I was like, ‘Look, I can carry a baby! I’m gaining weight right, everything’s going well.’ And I’ve had that relationship ever since.” Since the birth, she adds, “I’ve been working out when I can, and I’m trying to eat in a healthful way, but losing weight is not my number-one priority. It’s part of my job to return to some semblance of what I was before. But I don’t feel I’ve ever made my career on my rockin’ bod.”
On toning up for her role
The role [in The Fighter] required Adams to wear short shorts and a crop top for the bar scenes and lingerie in the bedroom with Wahlberg. “David said, ‘This is kind of how we see her dressing,’” she recalls, “And I said, ‘I’m getting in a gym, ’cause there’s no way I’m going to end up not looking my best.’” But Russell KO’d that impulse, telling her he didn’t want her to look like an actress who’d gotten in shape for a role. “He said, ‘I want you to look like a girl who drinks beer,’” the actress recalls with a laugh.
On her relationship with her fiance
Le Gallo [Adams' fiance] has also turned out to be “a great swaddler” and helpmate in managing the work/parenting balancing act. The couple, who met in acting class, have been together nine years, but the birth of their daughter has deepened their relationship, Adams says. “Now we understand the importance of teamwork. And if we have a disagreement, we work toward a solution.” They have a policy of never spending more than two weeks apart. For example, when Adams went to New Orleans in August to film an adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road, Le Gallo and Aviana joined her for the 11-day shoot. At home in Los Angeles, they share baby night-shift duties and have a dinner date once a week. As for a wedding, she says it’s going to happen but isn’t sure exactly when–she hasn’t been able to wrap her head around the planning process.
Mostly, Adams says, she’s been learning to focus on the moment and not be too hard on herself. “The best advice I’ve gotten as a parent is, ‘You’re not gonna be perfect,’” she says with a chuckle at the understatement. “Take today–she’s teething and I want to be in there with her. But I also want to do a good job here for everybody who worked on the film.”
She pushes back a lock of her naturally strawberry-blond hair. “I actually love my work more now, ’cause I feel if I’m going to be away from her, I’d better enjoy it. I’m trying to be more present in each moment of my life. She’s taught me that.”

Amy doesn’t say anything particularly personal or groundbreaking, but I love to cover her because she’s just so damn normal. Plus we never hear from her unless she has a film to promote and that’s refreshing. Parade also has a recipe from Amy for “guilt free” pumpkin pie with Splenda. I hate Splenda because my son is allergic to it. Regular sugar (or Stevia) has to be much healthier than anything that gives people rashes. Regular sugar also goes along with the whole theme Amy stresses in this interview. She says that her family’s signature holiday drink involves 7-up and that she’s putting out candy in a specific dish to create a tradition. And she’s not pushing herself to lose weight. So let’s see a recipe with real sugar and butter! It feels good to have something minor to criticize her about.
