Heidi Klum knows that the more ludicrous her fashion the more we’ll cover her, and the more she’ll get consistently invited to these events, rinse and repeat. I mean, it’s telling that Heidi was at the Grammys but that her ex husband Seal, who is actually in the music industry, was not. (Did you hear about the investigation into Seal allegedly sexually battering his neighbor? Awful.) Open up these photos of her in this Ashi Couture gown and if you’re like me you will laugh to yourself. This is a corset dress with polka dot mesh over it accented by lace stripes and ruffled trim. That’s hilarious, who would even think of putting all that crap together on one gown? Plus her makeup was so muddy and cakey, it’s like she just does not care at this point.
Compare Heidi with the queen here, Cyndi Lauper, looking every bit a royal rock star in this Moschino suit. Cyndi was part of the ensemble performing “Praying” along with Kesha last night. You can see that here. Check out her platform heels. She’s such a badass.
Julia Michaels was part of the “Praying” performance as well. She was nominated in the New Artist category, which went to Alessia Cara, and for Song of The Year, for “Issues,” which went to Bruno Mars for “That’s What I Like.” (I’m ok with that.) I’m going to be honest I didn’t know her prior to last night as I don’t follow pop music like I should. Still I was so impressed with her on the red carpet during her interview with Ryan Seacrest. It wasn’t her fashion, her Paolo Sebastian dress was mediocre, it was how sweet and genuine she seemed. I know who she is now and I’ll be paying attention to her.

Heidi Klum, 44, and Vito Schnabel, 31, have been together way longer than I expected, or I would assume anyone expected. It?s been over three years since they were first spotted together and since they first got serious. They?ve had well-photographed beach vacations, they?ve used social media to declare their love, and they?ve gone to many red carpet events together. Vito, who is known for romancing older famous women, was photographed earlier this summer kissing a woman he characterized as an ?old family friend,? in a situation he claimed was innocent. Sources told People at the time that Heidi and Vito were still loved-up and were fine, but she stopped posting about him on social media and I assumed they had cooled off. We heard rumors a couple of weeks ago that they were ?on a break? and now Heidi has confirmed that they are no longer together:

The German supermodel, 44, tells PEOPLE: ?I believe that it is important to take time to pause and reflect.?
Earlier this month, a source told PEOPLE that Klum and Schnabel, 30, were ?taking time apart.?
?Things have been difficult recently, they live on opposite coasts,? the source said at the time. ?And it?s the start of a school year and Heidi has to concentrate on the kids.?
Klum just recently wrapped up season 12 of America?s Got Talent, where she serves as a judge. Last weekend the supermodel headed to L.A. where she walked the red carpet at the 2017 Emmy Awards solo.
In June, Schnabel was spotted kissing another woman in London in what he previously told PEOPLE was an “innocent situation…”

I admire that brief statement from Heidi. She’s not my favorite person, but there’s so much possible shade in that sentence. It reads like “What the hell was I thinking? Maybe I should think about this finally.” So did Vito cheat on Heidi and did she finally wise up to the extent of his cheating? Did they just grow apart? I’m mildly interested in the details although I really want to know the overall dynamics of their relationship. Vito seems like the type of guy who makes powerful women think he’s in charge despite how much younger he is. Incidentally Halle Berry is single.
This is Heidi at the Emmy Awards in a red low cut gown by Dundas. We didn’t cover her fashion because she’s nothing if not predictable. This isn’t over-the-top fug though so I guess that’s an improvement.

Heidi Klum was a presenter last night at the AMAs along with Rebecca Romijn. I’m still mildly fascinated with how these celebrities’ faces move differently than most people I see in everyday life, to put it gently. It was just noticeable with Heidi and Rebecca, by celebrity standards, and then when Lady Gaga sang it was like only her mouth moved and her forehead didn’t reflect the country angst she was supposed to be feeling.
Heidi was in this gold metallic World Morais jumpsuit with bell bottoms. Heidi has said that she likes to stand out with her fashion choices. Sometimes she brings humor to her clothing, like she’s having a laugh and we all should join in. I can’t decide if this is one of those moments. This is both fug and boring and it’s like it’s missing some key details. It’s gold and has tiny multicolored washed out dots all over it plus a giant bow that you can barely see. You know what this looks like? Those goofy 80s sauna suits.
Rebecca Romijn had on a navy blue Rita Vinieris gown featuring a see through lace top with a bra underneath. This see-through lace style is getting popular and I might have the nerve to rock it with a high waist like that. I like the top of the gown but it’s like the skirt makes it too formal for the AMAs. The lace detailing under the skirt makes it too frou-frou.
Kat Graham was more in keeping with the event in a revealing Labourjoisie dress featuring diagonal sparkly netting and a deep v-neck. I know people will disagree but I really like this. She said she was going for a 70s vibe and to me this works. Maybe her gorgeous styling saves it.
Idina Menzel was in Thai Nguyen Atelier, in a dress with a multicolor abstract firework-type sequin pattern and which also had see-through skirt with granny panties underneath. I thought it looked cool on stage and this see through skirt trend is growing on me. When she presented, with Mark Cuban, they both made political comments which were understated but struck just the right tone. Idina asked Mark what he was looking forward to and he said “not being invited to the inauguration.” She joked “Us unsafe scary theater people wouldn’t be invited to the inauguration either,” adding “I love you Hamilton.” See that was just enough, unlike the cringey jokes that Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharaoh were making earlier.

Heidi Klum is on a lot of worst dressed lists and she surely knows it, but she also prioritizes looking “hot” which she seems to equate with showing a lot of skin. It turns out that Heidi knows her own preferences, she likes to turn heads, and that she also has style rules, like show legs or cleavage, not both. I’m not sure how often she follows those but sure. Heidi also told People magazine that her boyfriend of two years, 30 year-old Vito Schnabel, likes to see legs and that’s why she wears so many mini skirts.
?My boyfriend likes legs, so I like wearing minidresses and fishnet stockings,? the model, 43, tells PEOPLE during an interview about her new swim line for our latest issue, on newsstands today. The TV host has been in a relationship with art dealer Vito Schnabel for over two years.
And a mini isn?t the only thing she likes to wear for him, either. ?I love a beautiful pump,? she says. ?I?ve been walking in heels for 25 years so they don?t really bother me. They just make me feel sexier when I walk into a restaurant or down the street hand-in-hand.?
This reflects her overall fashion approach right now. ?I?m not someone who wants to blend in,? she says. ?Some people don?t feel comfortable in something bold. I do. I love making an effort, even when I go to dinner with my boyfriend or with my friends. I like to step it up.?
She says people most often see her sexy side when she?s on TV, either judging America?s Got Talent or hosting Project Runway. ?As the host, I always have to push the envelope,? she says, noting she does so by wearing ?more color, crazier silhouettes and big, bold statement jewelry pieces.? Adds Klum: ?I don?t want to come in something snoozy!?
The key to her look, she says, is balance. ?Anything goes,? she says. ?But don?t be sexy everywhere. If I have a supershort mini on, I?m not gonna put my boobs on display. But I feel great in my skin so I feel like I wear whatever I want to wear whenever I want to wear it.?

She’s right that she should be able to wear whatever she wants, and we should be able to point out when she looks like Big Bird. At least Heidi is self aware and candid about it, but as I mentioned in another recent story about her bikini venture she comes off as so deliberate about her sexy image. It’s more like a persona she puts on. Young boyfriend, fug revealing designer clothes chosen to get the most attention, bikini and lingerie brands. It’s all so predictable. Most celebrities are deliberate about their images, I guess Heidi is just one of the more obvious ones.

You’ve probably seen these photos of Heidi Klum at her annual Halloween party. This year she went as a clone of herself, complete with five lookalike models with prosthetics on their faces. It actually took me a minute to realize that the women had something done to their faces to look like Heidi and that they weren’t just typical filled and toxxed LA ladies. Maybe that was the point, so that Heidi would always be the prettiest one. Or else why didn’t she have prosthetics too? That would have been a clever commentary on the interchangeability of models instead of Heidi looking like the standout. The other models look as much like Heidi as Katy Perry looked like Hillary Clinton.

People has more on the luxury penthouse in New York which Heidi rented to prepare for the party, apparently it’s for sale and I would bet that Heidi was comped it for the night in exchange for the publicity. They also have a new interview with Heidi. They talked to her at the amfAR inspiration gala last week. She explained how she uses her charity work with children’s hospitals to give her own children perspective. Heidi has four children, daughters Leni, 12, and Lou, 7, and sons Henry, 11, and Johan, nine.
?We talk every night,? Klum told PEOPLE Thursday at the 2016 amfAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles. ?We have dinner every night at 6 o?clock. Today, I?m here, but normally, we do. We cook every night. We sit around the table every night, or for breakfast, [and] for me, that old-fashioned, sitting around and talking about your day I think is very important.?
It?s not as simple as communicating what she has done with her day that makes these conversations so important, though. It?s also the quiet message of how, busy schedule aside, she can leave the world a better place each day…
?They know what I do. So [they ask], ?Where were you? What did you do?? ? she says. ?And I tell them. It?s the same when I go to the Children?s Hospital. I tell them what I saw there.?
?They are very heartfelt, [but] of course, they don?t know what it?s like,? the America?s Got Talent judge points out. ?When they?re whining about something, I tell them, like, ?This is not something to be crying about.? ?
?I tell them about the children that I see at the hospital that cannot go home. ?It?s Christmas and you?re at home. And you have all these presents. And they?re in the hospital and they can?t go anywhere.? I talk to them about it.?

That sounds like a decent response if a child is complaining about something minor or begging, but of course it’s all about context. Telling them they should suck up the pain from a scraped knee because there are kids in the hospital would be rather heartless, but that’s not what Heidi is saying. Kids are selfish, it’s just a developmental phase they’re going through and while we should remind them to be empathic and give back they’re not always capable of seeing beyond their own perspective. It’s nice that she schedules a nightly dinner with everyone, so many families don’t get that time together.

The Creative Arts Emmys were held last night in LA and as you can see there wasn’t an amazing turnout. This is the secondary ceremony where they give awards for things like makeup, cinematography, writing, directing and editing. Just looking over the full list of winners, which you can see at E!, it seems like the Emmys are a bit better than the Oscars at relegating some of the awards to their other show. The Emmys air this Sunday, September 18th.
First off here’s Heidi Klum in a strapless, formfitting metallic Roland Mouret gown with a slight fishtail. I really like the fabric on this dress and the slight texture it has, but it’s a somewhat overdone silhouette. Still this is Heidi Klum and the look is a win for her.
Heidi was up for Outstanding Host in a Reality Competition Program, for Project Runway, which went to RuPaul for Drag Race, yay! Heidi has been nominated in that category countless times and she previously won, along with Tim Gunn, in 2013. This is RuPaul’s first nomination and first win. Here’s a photo of RuPaul in his Pink polka dot suit.
Here’s Lake Bell in Naeem Khan looking kind of miserable. I guess most people would look somewhat pained in that dress with that styling. If you look closely at the skirt you can see that it’s made up of tiers of stripes and sequins. This gown might be ok with that semi-circular stripe pattern on the top and a more plain skirt. Update: This dress had sheer panels under the tiers on the skirt, so when she moved you could see through the skirt. Here’s a link to photos of that.
Julianne Hough was there for Grease Live in this very bridal-looking Zuhair Murad gown. Like Lake Bell, her styling is awful. Grease Live won in several categories including Production Design, Technical Direction and Outstanding Special Class Program. Julianne looked a lot happier after the ceremony with her costars Vanessa Hudgens and Kether Donohue.
Vanessa Hudgens was in Maria Lucia Hohan and she always looks like she’s having fun. This is a great dress for her, it looks comfortable and dressy at the same time.

Model and reality competition show mainstay Heidi Klum shared some sexy snaps with her handsome boyfriend, art curator Vito Schnabel, from their Caribbean vacation this past week. Let?s just say I?ve got new #vacationgoals.
Heidi is sure to look well-rested after her vacay, if her photos are any indication. On Sunday, she posted a picture snuggled against 30 year-old Vito?s back with the caption ?….dreaming ….??? How does she get a candid picture to look like something out of a Vogue photo shoot? All of my vacation snaps feature sunburned raccoon eyes and ocean-matted hair. The hairstyle phenomenon known as ?beachy waves? is a lie. Trust me. I’ve spent a fortune on products to make my hair look as perfectly beach-tousled as Heidi’s and it always ends up just looking greasy.

She’s spent most of this year romancing boyfriend Vito Schnabel on the beaches of Cannes, St Barts and Los Angeles.
Displaying an impressive all-over glow, Heidi kept herself shaded beneath a trilby hat and tipped her shades on her nose for an air of effortless chic.
