These are some of the most depressing premiere pics I?ve ever seen of Jennifer Aniston. She was premiering Life of Crime in LA, and it was like someone just told her that Santa Claus isn?t real. She looks like she?s about to cry in nearly all of the pics! What?s up, Jen? Not only that, but she totally looks pregnant in this Saint Laurent ensemble. My guess: she was boozing it up and maybe eating some pasta just before the red carpet. Either that or the sparkly little dress isn?t that flattering.
As for Life of Crime, People Magazine had a nice interview with Jennifer where she talks about her 1970s socialite character and how she based the look on her mom, Nancy Aniston, in the ?70s. When talking about the Elmore Leonard source material, she said: ?I love how he writes his characters? I thought [my character] had such a beautiful arc and a powerful one. In that time, to write that for a woman in the ’70s was pretty awesome.” She also said she wants to produce and direct more stuff and this is what she?s drawn to: ?I love human experience. I love human beings and behavior and relationships, and it will probably have something to do with that.”
Jennifer also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and he made her do a sort-of Friends reunion. Does she really not know what ?fan-fiction? is? Does this bit sort of fall flat or is it just me? And yes, she seems stoned.

Yay, Jennifer Aniston is promoting something. She?s actually going to be promoting several films over the next few months. She?s got Life of Crime coming out, plus Cake, Horrible Bosses 2 (that?s out in November) and She?s Funny That Way (I don?t know when that comes out). So, Jennifer sat down for her first TV interview of the autumn movie season. Carson Daly interviewed her for Today. Jennifer talked about feminism, the interest in her personal life (major eyeroll on her reaction to that one), her Friends past and more. Some highlights:
Feminism: “I don’t have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done, and ? if they’re not checked, then I’ve failed some part of my feminism or my being a woman or my worth and my value as a woman.”
On taking darker film roles, like her new on in “Life of Crime”: “I’m having a lot of fun, because I’ve been branching out and having fun playing different characters and hiding and going into ? you know, some darker stuff. So I’m excited about it.
On her post-”Friends” career: “I kind of feel very grateful to my evolution and my history ? I would never exchange it for anything.”

I?m including the video below. I don?t really have a problem with the substance of her answers on feminism and her worth as a woman, but taken in context of who she is and her history of playing certain aspects of her personal life out in media, I do think she?s full of it. If you don?t want society to define your worth by whom you marry and whether you?re having babies, fine. More power to you. But don?t build your whole image and public persona on whom you married (and divorced) and whether you?re going to have babies.

Whenever I think about Jennifer Aniston?s understanding of ?new media,? the internet, social media platforms and the like, I always think back to what John Mayer said about Jennifer in his now-infamous Playboy interview, which took place after they had broken up for good. When describing the differences between himself and Aniston and whether social media played a part, he said:
“If Jennifer Aniston knows how to use BitTorrent, I?ll eat my f–king shoe. One of the most significant differences between us was that I was tweeting. There was a rumor that I had been dumped because I was tweeting too much. That wasn?t it, but that was a big difference. The brunt of her success came before TMZ and Twitter. I think she?s still hoping it goes back to 1998. She saw my involvement in technology as courting distraction. And I always said, ‘These are the new rules.’”

Her primary focus is on old-media and she still announces all of her big milestones with press releases to People Magazine. Anyway, I bring this all up because Jennifer has some new quotes and she?s talking about the internet:
The 45-year-old actress admits she has become so afraid of public criticism, particularly on the internet, that she and her actor fianc Justin Theroux have turned into social hermits who prefer to stay at home.
?You do the best you can but it feels like it?s getting worse and very nasty because of bullying on the internet,? says the Friends star. ?Even movie critics don?t just comment on the film, they tear people apart on a human level. I don?t know why that is happening but it is?we just stay home so there really isn?t anything to report.?
But it?s not all doom and gloom for multimillionaire Jennifer. Earlier this month she jetted off to the Tahitian island of Bora Bora with Justin for a romantic holiday to celebrate his 43rd birthday and mark the two-year anniversary of their engagement.
Jennifer has also landed an extremely lucrative deal as the face of Aveeno hair care and continues to attract top film roles. She is set to star in movie Life Of Crime in September and is also scheduled to attend the Toronto Film Festival for the premiere of another of her films Cake. Another comedy, She?s Funny That Way, which reunites her with her Marley & Me co-star Owen Wilson, will also debut in Venice.

The internet could have been her ally if only she would stop seeing herself as the perpetual victim? Don?t get me wrong, I?ve often thought that we could easily get 200-plus comments, with vicious back-and-forth, both for and against, if we merely posted a photo of Jennifer and like three words of commentary. But you know who else inspires that kind of passionate response? Angelina Jolie. And you never hear Angelina complaining about ?the internet.? And for that matter, you never hear Angelina complain about being publicly ?bullied? by Aniston?s BFF Chelsea Handler.

Jennifer Aniston sat down for an interview with Yahoo last week. The interview was conducted by Bobbi Brown, as in the makeup line woman. The piece is surprisingly long. And deep as a puddle. To be fair to both of them, I think the goal/vibe of this interview was just supposed to be about beauty, makeup, hair and style. As it turns out, Bobbi Brown is a huge fan of Aniston and Aniston in turn kisses Bobbi?s ass. Bobbi starts out complimenting Aniston?s style and Aniston says it?s ?just called laziness.? Yawn. Aniston?s style confessions: ?This is my secret: The trick to T-shirts is I that I usually tailor them. Which is silly, but it works. Or you just have to find the perfect one. James Perse has really great T-shirts and tank tops, Theory is great for T-shirts and basics, and for jeans, I have these Genetic jeans that they don?t even make anymore. I take the pockets off of Hudson jeans, because I like the fit, but not the pockets. Helmut Lang does a good skinny jean, too. And I wear Saint Laurent jackets.?
Aniston shills Living Proof: ?Have you discovered the Restore Mask yet? That?s a game changer. I do it every Sunday because I do highlight my hair. The one thing with hair, as we get older, is it doesn?t necessarily react as beautifully as it used to when we were in our 20s, which I never knew. Did you know that, that hair ages?… It loses weight.?
Aniston?s aging secret is Greek genes: ?My dad is 100 percent Greek; he turned 81 and he barely has a wrinkle. And neither does my grandmother, who was 95 when she died. But it?s also just water, drinking a lot of water, using really nice good products for your face. Don?t overproduct, that?s the other thing. Getting proper sleep is always important.?
Food/diet: ?I have a Greek salad in front of me, but I also indulge. Oh my god there?s a balance. I just had a bagel. I usually give myself bread on the weekends, but really, my body doesn?t love carbs. These days, if I was being super picky, I would love to drop 5 pounds. That is just where I have always been really comfortable at about 110 to 113 pounds. But it is harder at this age.?
Plastic surgery: ?There is also this pressure in Hollywood to be ageless. I think what I have been witness to, is seeing women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes, because I am not injecting s**t into my face. No honestly, I see them and my heart breaks. I think, ?Oh god if you only know how much older you look.? They are trying to stop the clock and all you can see is an insecure person who won?t let themselves just age. I also have a fianc who will put a gun to my head if I touch my face in any way.?
Aniston does lasers: ?There are also so many things that women can do today with technology in terms of LED light therapy, good lasers that tighten the muscles, and massages for your face?and don?t forget great creams. I think that?s the route to go. I also understand that age is kind of awesome. I am fortunate enough to know women like Gloria Steinem, who I think is one of the most stunning women on the planet, and doesn?t touch her face. Diane Keaton, Annette Bening, all of these fabulous fearless women who are flawless, they embrace it! You know, to each their own; I don?t judge it if you do it, but sometimes I wish I could beg the people I know, who I am very near and dear to, to not touch their face.?

First of all, she?s totally talking about Courteney Cox, correct? Aniston brings it up twice ? that there are women close to her that she wishes would stop messing with their faces. I?m thinking it?s Courtney. Because what other woman close to Aniston really messes with her face? For all of her faults, Chelsea Handler does not Botox. Neither does Jennifer Meyer. It?s totally CC. Aniston judges CC?s face (as do we all).
As for: ?I also have a fianc; who will put a gun to my head if I touch my face in any way?? Gurl, has he seen your original nose? But I guess that doesn?t count if it happened before him? And she?s confessed to doing Botox once or twice, but she?s never been all Nicole Kidman about it. One theory I have though ? she?s gotten collagen lip injections on-and-off for the past five years. Nothing crazy, nothing overboard, but it’s just something I’ve noticed.

Lots of people think Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux?s wedding is going to happen sooner rather than later. Some people are even saying it might happen in the next few weeks, probably in Mexico. I still believe that Justin was having cold feet about marriage in general, and marriage to Jennifer specifically. Like, he didn?t want to become Mr. Aniston. Too bad, hipster! Anyway, Life & Style says the real reason the engagement went on so long was because they were fighting about the prenup.
In the new issue of Life & Style, insiders claim that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux?s lengthy engagement was caused when the duo hit a stalemate while negotiating their prenuptial agreement.
?Haggling over assets and money put a real damper on Jen and Justin?s wedding planning for months,? an insider exclusively reveals to Life & Style. ?It really held things up.?
Friends even began to worry that the couple might not make it to the altar at all. And for good reason: A second source tells the mag the couple have canceled wedding plans three previous times since their August 2012 engagement!

Well, they?ll be residing in a community property state no matter what, so Jennifer could have the best prenup in the world and Justin could still end up with a chunk of her money. And maybe that?s what made Justin finally get with the program? I like the subtext here that Justin wanted to get married without a pre-nup. That?s very interesting.

A new friend for our favorite Friend! Jennifer Aniston has found herself a new bestie in Sandra Bullock, a source close to Aniston tells Us Weekly exclusively.
“Jen and Sandra are new BFFs,” the insider tells Us. “They’re very excited about the new friendship.”
Aniston, 45, got to know Bullock, 49, over a dinner party at mutual pal Gwyneth Paltrow’s house. They bonded over many things, likely including their epic, painful divorces (Aniston’s from Brad Pitt, Bullock’s from Jesse James), and their shared ex-boyfriend Tate Donovan.
Bullock was engaged to Donovan, now 50, in the early 1990s, but the couple split before they had a chance to say “I do.” Just a few years later, in the mid-1990s, Donovan — who guest starred on Friends as Rachel Green’s love interest Joshua Burgin — presented a ring to Aniston, who ended her relationship with the 24: Live Another Day star in 1998.
“Sandra and Jen have a lot in common and enjoy each other’s company,” the source adds. “They have been having each other over for dinner regularly.”
Earlier this year, the actresses — who also share a friend in Chelsea Handler — were rumored to team up for an upcoming comedy flick with Cameron Diaz, but there has yet to be further confirmation on the supposed plans.

A few nights ago, Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston attended a party to celebrate his August cover of Details Magazine. Well, somebody might have slipped Aniston about five mojitos, because chica decided to wax rhapsodic about her man. And it was funny. I mean, if you asked me to explain why I love Benedict Cumberbatch so much, I wouldn?t be able to be incredibly eloquent either ? it would come out like ?He?s sexy and unconventional and?um?his voice?mmmm?? ? but Jennifer?s description of Justin is just sort of oddball. She probably was buzzed. Or perhaps she smoked a joint before the party?
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux stepped out of their comfort zone Tuesday night at a dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel?s Tower Bar. She is normally tight-lipped when it comes to their relationship, but she let her guard down just for a bit to talk to WWD about her fianc.

The 42-year-old, in a Dior Homme suit, said he?s starting to dress more age-appropriate these days.

Back in 2010, Jennifer Aniston launched her first perfume. The whole process was rather tortured. Looking back, I think Aniston probably regretted her attempt to ?reinvent the wheel? when it came to celebrity-brand perfumes. The tried-and-true method ? the method that has made Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez a lot of money ? is to work with a major, established perfume house and have them do all of the heavy lifting when it comes to distribution, marketing, etc. Jennifer tried to do it herself (or at least that?s the impression I got). She named her perfume Lolavie, but somebody (was it Marc Jacobs, I think?) already had the rights to that name, so she ended up calling the perfume ?Jennifer Aniston.? It was only sold in a handful of stores and it didn?t make a dent in the celebrity-branded perfume market.
So, Jennifer is taking a mulligan. She?s releasing her second scent, J by Jennifer Aniston, through Elizabeth Arden, and the roll-out seems a lot smoother.
If you?re looking for a new scent to wear this summer, Jennifer Aniston has one you might want to consider. The actress just launched her second fragrance, J by Jennifer Aniston, an alternative to those fruity perfumes that are associated with the season.
?My debut fragrance is a clean, feminine perfume ? it reminds me of the way you smell when you just arrive at the beach: fresh, with a touch of sunblock and sand,? Aniston tells PEOPLE. ?This new fragrance is its complement. It has a hint of that salty sea smell that reminds me of a day spent in the ocean. It?s relaxed and refreshing.?
And the ombr blue glass bottle totally matches up with Aniston?s seashore vision. (So do her perfectly tousled tresses featured on the packaging.) The scent blends salty notes with clean florals like waterlily and magnolia and also boasts a layer of sandalwood and vanilla bourbon for more of a musky vibe.

Basically, J by Aniston and Aniston: The Perfume are pretty similar. They both smell beachy and fresh and floral and musky. I was with Jennifer?s choices of waterlily, magnolia and even sandalwood, but I was out with ?vanilla bourbon.? I loathe vanilla-scents, vanilla top notes and everything in the vanilla perfume family.
From what I can see of the pricing for this perfume, it?s about on target with other celebrity brands. Maybe a little more expensive than Britney?s perfumes, but a little less expensive than Jennifer Lopez?s. Incidentally, I?ve become a recent convert to J.Lo?s Glow. I love that perfume ? it?s so soft and feminine, it?s never overpowering and it?s such a great, light summer perfume.

The more time Justin Theroux spends in New York City without his fiance Jennifer Aniston, the more likely he is to spend time with his BFF Terry Richardson. Considering the recent rash of Theroux interviews, I?ve been finding it a bit odd that Uncle Terry has not been quoted at all. After all, Terry and Justin DO spend a lot of time together. Jennifer used to hang out with Terry too ? Terry took the first exclusive photos of Justin and Jennifer together, and subsequently did portraits of JustJen months later as well. But that was back in 2011. I haven?t heard much about Jennifer spending time with Terry recently, just Justin. So maybe this Star Mag story is true?
Terry Richardson does not have a friend in Jennifer Aniston. Richardson, 48, who is currently facing accusations of sexual assault by multiple models, has caused major tension between Jen and her fianc of nearly two years, Justin Theroux. While preparations for the pair?s wedding are (finally) underway, Justin is adamant that his god pal Terry do the photography. But Jennifer has issued a strict ?keep the creep away? policy for their big day.

Sporting a snazzy black getup, the ?We?re the Millers? hottie was all smiles as she arrived on her hunky beau?s arm at the NYU Skirball Center.
Jen and Justin haven?t been seen together on the red carpet since back in September, as they usually try to keep their personal lives private.
Meanwhile, ?The Leftovers? will hit the HBO airwaves beginning June 29th for its first 10-episode season.
