Lauren Conrad certainly knows how to keep herself busy in her post-"Hills" life. When she's not busy writing and promoting her novel, "L.A. Candy," or executive-producing the film version of it, she's working on her clothing line, Kohl's "LC Lauren Conrad" collection.

Lauren Conrad has no hard feelings toward "The Hills." In fact, she wishes the reality show oodles of success even though she's no longer on it. And she doesn't even seem to mind that her ex-bestie-turned-nemesis, Kristin Cavallari, is trying to fill the void left by her departure.

Always looking to what’s next, Lauren Conrad was spotted at the launch of her new LC collection for Kohl’s department store last night (October 1).
The former “Hills” babe looked flirty and fun as she arrived at the West Hollywood shindig on Melrose, sporting a loose-fitting short black dress with matching funky heels.
During a recent interview, Lauren confessed that she’d be a horrible pick to play the role of Jane Roberts in the film adaptation of her novel “L.A. Candy.”
“I think my acting is offensive! I’m an awful actor, I’m not super comfortable with it. In fact I was just trying to do lines … and they’ll tell you, I cannot memorize lines.”

She surprised everyone, including herself, when her debut book L.A. Candy hit the bestseller list. And now Lauren Conrad has scored a deal to make it into a movie.
The former “Hills” hottie, who was spotted partying with former castmate Lauren ‘Lo’ Bosworth for her 23rd birthday at MI-6 last night, will serve as executive producer of the film which has just been licensed by Temple Hill Entertainment.
Temple Hill producer Marty Bowen told press, “Lauren, who became an icon in that reality show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book.”
He continued, “We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, wow, this isn’t at all what I’d planned for myself.”

Stepping out for an evening of excitement, Lauren Conrad was spotted helping her gal pal Lauren ‘Lo’ Bosworth celebrate her 23rd birthday last night (September 29).
Both ladies looked lovely as they hit up West Hollywood hotspot MI-6 with a gaggle of girlfriends to commemorate the special occasion.
Earlier in the day, Lo was spotted hanging out with “Hills” costar Stephanie Pratt as she made her way around Beverly Hills.
Miss Bosworth and Miss Pratt hit up Alice + Olivia boutique and Sephora before stopping into a local eatery for some lunch.

Enjoying a freer schedule since departing “The Hills,” Lauren Conrad has been building on her relationship with boyfriend Kyle Howard away from the constant camera coverage.
Rarely spotted together, the MTV beauty was caught by paparazzi earlier this week as she took her dog Chloe to a lunch meetup with her beau in Los Angeles.
Looking cute in a bright blue top and short-shorts, Miss Conrad tended to her loving pet pooch before greeting her hunky boyfriend with a hug.
Aside from personal time, LC has been tending to promotional duties tied to the recent launch of her very own affordable clothing line for Kohl’s retailers.

Enjoying a little quality time together, Lauren Conrad and Lauren “Lo” Bosworth were spotted out at La Scala in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon (September 21).
With LC using Lo as a human shield, the former “Hills” co-stars laughed and hugged one another as they made their way out of the popular local eatery.
Over the weekend, Miss Conrad kept busy by splitting time between boyfriend Kyle Howard and her Kohl’s launch duties.
As part of her line’s launch, Lauren took part in California Coastal Cleanup Day, plugging her new offerings by telling press: “I am very excited to be launching LC Lauren Conrad at Kohl’s later this month because it’s going to 300 stores and it’s going to be on Kohls.com.”

Stepping out on the beach in Santa Monica, CA - Lauren Conrad attended a “Clean Up” event for Kohl’s Department Stores earlier today (September 19).
In jeans and a Kohl’s t-shirt, the reality-TV star turned fashion designer happily helped pick up trash in order to keep the beach clean.
As previously reported, LC’s new budget-friendly “California inspired” clothing line will hit Kohl’s stores October 1st.
Proudly talking about her line, Ms Conrad recently said, it’s “a little more casual...trying to take that California style and make it accessible everywhere.”

Never one to sit still, Lauren Conrad stopped by an Emmy Gifting Suite Event in Los Angeles, CA yesterday (September 18).
The “LA Candy” author looked gorgeous in a yellow belted dress and heels while she met and posed for pictures with skin health expert, Kate Somerville, the host of the swanky event.
In other news, the 23-year-old has created a budget-friendly “California inspired” fashion line for Kohl’s that will debut on October 1st nationwide and at Kohls.com.
Of the line, the up and coming designer says it’s, “a little more casual...trying to take that California style and make it accessible everywhere.”

Following a busy stay in the Big Apple, Lauren Conrad was spotted making a cheerful arrival back home in Los Angeles via LAX Airport on Friday afternoon (September 18).
Accompanied by her assistant, the former “Hills” hottie toted an iced green tea latte as she navigated her way through the airport madness and out to an awaiting car.
During her stay in NYC, Lauren took part in the Mercedes Benz fashion week happenings, hit up the MTV VMAs and finished up the trip with an appearance at the VH1 Divas show the previous night.
Meanwhile, Miss Conrad is also looking forward to the release of her budget fashion line for Kohl’s that will debut on October 1 nationwide.
Telling about her low-cost line, LC tells that the line is “a little more casual...trying to take that California style and make it accessible everywhere.”
