Tending to her all-important motherly duties, Halle Berry was busy picking up her daughter Nahla from school in West Hollywood on Monday afternoon (June 27).
The Oscar-winning actress looked summertime chic in a flowing white sundress as she scooped up her growing tot with the pair heading to a local ice cream parlor for a refreshingly chilly treat.
And while Miss Berry is currently enjoying spending her time off with her little princess, recent reports indicate that the 44-year-old may be headed back to the small screen.
According to Deadline, Halle is attached to star as a college professor in a series titled "Higher Learning" - with the show currently being shopped around to premium channels including HBO and Showtime.

In search of the perfect greens, Halle Berry was spotted perusing the veggie selections at her local Whole Foods in Beverly Hills on Wednesday (June 22).
The Oscar-winning actress looked comfy casual in a grey t-shirt and jean shorts as she rummaged through the stack of heads of lettuce before continuing to zigzag down the grocery store aisles.
The outing comes as it was just announced that Miss Berry's vacated Broadway role has finally found a replacement in Angela Bassett.
Reports tell that Bassett will be joining Samuel L Jackson in this fall's production of "The Mountaintop," which is due to begin previews on September 22 while officially opening on October 13th.
The highly-anticipated play is "set the evening before the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., with Jackson cast as King."

Enjoying a swanky evening out, Halle Berry was spotted at the Mayor?s Fund benefit dinner in New York City last night (June 14).
The ?Monster?s Ball? actress hobnobbed with guests like Mariska Hargitay and Mayor Michael Bloomberg at Red Rooster Restaurant as shutterbugs looked on.
According to a report, the Mayor?s Fund benefit dinner raised money for the Family Justice Centers, an important social program in NYC.
In career news, Halle?s new film ?Dark Tide? has just released a promotional trailer. In the clip, Berry?s character, a modern-day adventurer and shark enthusiast, and her crew are swept into shark infested waters when their boat capsizes.

Halle Berry was at the Fifi fragrance awards awards last night in a draped black dress with an asymmetric angular cutout around the side of her stomach. Apart from the bizarre middle of the dress she otherwise looked flawless. I love her stacked gold hoop earrings that match the gold detailing on the dress. Her other accessories, a chunky black ring and clutch, are minimal and just serve to highlight how gorgeous she is. She wore very understated strappy heels and overall she worked that look. If she would have just picked a dress that covered her stomach she would have knocked it out of the park. As it is, I keep staring at her paler stomach and noticing that it doesn’t match the rest of her skin tone. Cutout dresses are all the rage now, but usually the panels aren’t as wide and showy as this one.
Fergie was also there in a jarring yellow flowing gown with a single sequin strap running from the bustline to the neck. It wasn’t her worst outfit, but the color had green undertones that didn’t flatter her. Plus it looks too dressy for this event. Her makeup was pretty and neutral, but her hair looked limp and messy, like it was just air dried.
Kate Walsh wore a burgundy strapless cocktail dress accented with a skinny black belt. She looks really hot here and like she put some thought into it and didn’t try too hard.
Mary J. Blige was in a fitted floor length white sequin gown. I think she overdid it with the accessories, but it’s a pretty dress and I see what she was going for.
Padma Laksmi had on a busy strapless fuschia number with a sweetheart neckline. I don’t like it from far away but when you zoom in it’s actually quite striking.

Spending the day with her little princess, Halle Berry took Nahla out for a mother/daughter afternoon in Malibu, CA on Monday (May 9).
The Oscar-winning actress first escorted her adorable tot over for a shopping spree at 98% Angel store to load up a little bit of new gear.
From there, Halle and Nahla headed over to a local park, where Miss Berry's beautiful girl romped around the playground equipment while sharing a handful of precious moments with her mom.
On the career front, Berry is all set to be honored with the Celebrity Fragrance of the Year prize at this year's FiFi Awards.
With the ceremony to take place on May 25th, Halle said in a statement: "For years I have created my own personal scents by mixing and layering fragrances, trying to come up with something unique and different. It's a wonderful form of self-expression and I am thrilled to share these fragrances with consumers worldwide."

She's been a longtime face of the cosmetics brand, and Halle Berry strapped on her sneakers in the name of charity for the 18th Annual Revlon Run Walk in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday (May 7).
With festivities kicking off early this morning at the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Oscar winning actress joined up with fellow celebrity participants including Lilly Tartikoff, Alyson Hannigan and "Modern Family" actor Eric Stonestreet.
As for the cause, donations made to the Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Run Walk For Women support organizations and programs that research the cause and cure of women's cancers and provide support programs for women's cancer patients and their families, according to the Run/Walk website.
Aside from getting a little exercise in support of women's cancer efforts, Miss Berry was recently announced as an honoree at this year's FiFi fragrance awards.
The 44-year-old is set to be toasted as Celebrity Fragrance of the Year winner, as she said in a statement: "For years I have created my own personal scents by mixing and layering fragrances, trying to come up with something unique and different. It's a wonderful form of self-expression and I am thrilled to share these fragrances with consumers worldwide."

Halle Berry did an interview with Extra to help publicize her work with the Jenesse center for abused and battered women and children. (Video above and here.) Halle looked really hot in a lot cut fuschia dress that she wore to a fundraiser for the center over the weekend. Her face was impossibly smooth and glowing. If I could get some injectables, laser resurfacing and Botox and look as supernaturally perfect as Halle I would do it in a heartbeat. I’d probably get the dermatologist who ended up making me look like Jill Zarin, though. Maybe it’s genetics plus injectables though, like some people look more normal after getting work done.
Halle told Terri Seymour about how she helped set up a special room with clothing, art and educational materials at the shelter called “Nahla’s world.” She said that there’s a stigma associated with staying at a shelter but that she wanted to create something aspirational for the women there. Terri asked about Halle’s boyfriend, Oliver Martinez, who went to the fundraising event to support her. Halle got kind of excited and said “he is really proud and you know, he’s inspired. He’s got his own ideas of how he can get involved in the center and help the boys… be sort of a male figure.”
Terri said it’s been a year since she saw Halle at the last fundraiser and asked her what her year has been like. She answered. “It’s been a year full of challenges, but every year seems challenging in one way or another.” As for whether custody is going well she said “It is, and you know what, that’s a relief. When there’s a child involved, it’s a relief when you can resolve things in a good way. Our issues were never about fighting for her, you know? We know that a child needs both parents but I think what I want to say about it is that sometimes as a couple you reach an impasse. We need a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues, and I’m so happy we’ve arrived at that place… because for her sake, this is the best way. So we’re good… It’s a huge relief, because we both love her more than life.”
Halle talks a good game and you could tell she was being careful about how she phrased things. Extra! reports that this is the first time she’s spoken publicly about her custody battle, and I could have sworn that wasn’t the case. Only Halle has just leaked stories to the press in the past to try and make Gabriel out to be the bad guy. When she finally deigns to talk publicly, she couches everything in vague concepts like she was just an average mom getting a divorce who didn’t exploit her daughter’s normal emotions about her parents splitting up in order to try and malign her ex. She probably feels like she handled it all normally too, because the end result is that she’s reached a peaceful agreement with Gabriel. Rumor has it that he had some real dirt on her and that’s why she was so willing to play nice.

Working to help a cause near and dear to her heart, Halle Berry kicked off the Halle Berry Celebrity Golf Classic at the Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles on Monday (April 18).
The Academy award-winning actress teamed up with Grey Goose to host the charity event - which benefits the Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention program.
Among the stars to came out to show their support and hit the green were Dennis Haysbert, Christina Milian, and Kevin Farley.
On Sunday (April 17), Halle was honored for all she's given to the center at the annual Silver Rose Awards Gala.

For the record, Halle Berry?s body is still amazing. Right? These are photos of Halle, with her French lover (and ?bidness? associate) Olivier Martinez last night at the Silver Rose Awards. Halle was honored at the ceremony/fundraiser, which benefits Halle?s long-standing charitable cause, the Jenesse Center. The Jenesse Center helps victims of domestic violence through counseling, housing and education.
Apparently, “E” designed this dress (??)… I don?t really like it. Honestly, I would probably hate it on anyone else, but Halle comes close to making it work. The color looks good on her, the neckline is flattering, and the cut? well, Halle always knows how to wear dresses that cling to every curve. I think my problem is with the ruched sleeves? The sleeves look budget, and they bring down the dress. Beyond the fashion aspect, is this a good look for Halle? I?m talking about her face- while I?ve always thought Halle had rather sad eyes, for the past few events she?s attended, her eyes have been looking? I don?t know. Darker. Unstable. Like she?s a woman on the verge.
Olivier?s face looks like hell, but I like his suit, and the combo of a grey suit with a black shirt. I?m also kind of impressed with Olivier? you know they?re coming up on their one year anniversary very soon, right? I wonder when their film Dark Tide is coming out? Will they go much longer beyond the film?s promotion, or is this something deeper? Honestly, I?m starting to wonder if Olivier actually has feelings for Halle. He seems very happy to show up for her, and he seems like a *gasp* good boyfriend. I wonder what Halle will accuse him of when they do split?
In other Halle news, a few days ago it was announced that Halle was pulling out of a planned debut on Broadway in September. Halle had signed on for a production of The Mountaintop, but the show?s producers told the media that Halle had dropped out because of ?child-custody issues.? Fun fact: The play is about the 24 hours before Martin Luther King?s assassination, and Samuel L. Jackson will be playing Dr. King. That?s an interesting choice, right? Halle was supposed to play a maid at the Lorraine Hotel, where Dr. King was assassinated.
