Bringing her undeniably unique style to the forefront, Gwen Stefani adorns the cover of the May 2011 issue of Elle magazine.
Hitting newsstands on April 12th, the No Doubt frontwoman tossed on a Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci frock as she posed for photographer Dusan Reljin - who was tapped to shoot the Women in Music issue spread.
As for the accompanying interview, highlights from Gwen's chat with Elle are as follows:
On writing hits: ?I do! Why wouldn?t you want that many people listening to the songs that you wrote? There?s no way to go back after you have had it. So the intentions of even the solo records were always about trying to write those guilty-pleasure albums that just get in your head and you can?t get out. I?m not cool, I?m not into the B-sides. Prince, who is one of my idols, gave me some advice when I worked with him: ?Have you ever just tried writing a hit? Like, don?t just try writing a song, try and write a hit song.? I remember him saying that and me thinking, Yeah, you?re right. Why would you write anything else??
On her marriage to Gavin Rossdale: ?The first time we ever kissed was right around Valentine?s Day?we were in New Orleans on tour. So, yeah, I always think about that because it?s unbelievable that we?ve been able to stay together. I feel so proud of us?it?s one of my biggest achievements.?
On performing while pregnant: ?It was horrible. Certain songs would make me want to puke. You feel pretty gross when you are first pregnant. You don?t feel cute, you feel disgusting. You?re getting fat. It was hard. I mean, I?m very vain. That would be my middle name. Of course I am, you know what I mean? I love the visual."
On whether Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry have taken a page out of her playbook when it comes to style: ?Really? I don?t see myself in those girls. I usually put pants on. I see these girls as more going for the sex-symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy. Of course, I think every girl is sexy, so there?s going to be a little of that. But I see a lot of younger artists going more toward the sexy thing.?
On pop music: "When we were growing up, some of the hits were legendary ones that you hear your whole life. But certain songs, I don?t know if you?ll ever hear them again. Because that?s what that music is, like a guilty pleasure, it?s right at the moment. It?s like fashion?it?s now, then it?s gone."

Gracing the cover with her dazzlingly unique style, Gwen Stefani adorns the front page of the April 2011 issue of Elle UK magazine.
The No Doubt frontwoman partook in a glamorous shoot with Matthias Vriens-McGrath while chatting with the publication about topics ranging from her marriage to make-up tips.
Highlights from the 41-year-old's interview with Elle UK are as follows, with a behind-the-scenes video from her photo shoot available below:
On her ideal day: ?I think of myself as really lazy. My ideal day would be to never get out of bed. No one can force me to do something unless I?m passionate about it.?
On her marriage: ?I?ve been with Gavin for 14 years, and, let?s face it, that is a huge accomplishment. I feel so proud of that ? it hasn?t been the easiest journey.?
On make-up: ?I wear make-up every single day; I like to wear make-up for Gavin and I don?t feel energised till I?ve put it on, then I?m ready to go.?

Celebrities can often be mistaken for super human being, but it?s relieving to know that Gwen Stefani is just like any other woman.
In a recent interview with Elle UK for their April issue, the ?Hollaback Girl? singer opened up about her marriage to Gavin Rossdale.
?I've been with Gavin for 14 years, and, let's face it, that is a huge accomplishment. I feel so proud of that -- it hasn't been the easiest journey," she admitted.
Gwen can also relate to her fans who struggle with weight issues as she mentioned that maintaining her post-baby body is ?a daily struggle.?
She revealed, ?I'd like to have no rules and eat what I want, but I've learned over the years that I'm so disappointed when I can't wear the clothes I want to wear."

Gwen Stefani covers the April issue of Elle UK - the high quality image is the subscribers? cover, and the low-quality image is the newsstand version. Honestly, I don?t know what Gwen is selling at this point. I don?t think she even has an album coming out, so she?s probably just promoting the fashion stuff. She just had a runway show a few weeks ago, at New York Fashion Week, I think. So that?s probably what she?s promoting. I apologize for not having any interview excerpts yet - nothing has been released!
Below, I’ve included some photos of Gwen, Gavin and… Zuma, I think. They were in LA yesterday, and they were pap’d, as they are very often. A lot of people have noted that Gwen is a lot like Jennifer Garner - in that we always have new photos of Gwen and her family, and that maybe Gwen uses these controlled photo-ops to control her image and to famwhore herself out a bit. I don?t know? for a while, Jennifer and The Dimple Parade was making daily appearances in front of the paps, but she?s settled down quite a bit, and suddenly haven?t been any daily paparazzi-friendly outings in a few months (which makes me think that Garner can control it, you know?). Does Gwen use the same method? When there are rumors about Gavin and that transvestite, did Gwen use public outings to defuse the situation? I wasn?t paying attention. All I know is that Gwen, Gavin and the boys do get photographed a lot.

Bringing her latest looks to the catwalk, Gwen Stefani presented the L.A.M.B. Fall 2011 fashion show at The Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City on Thursday night (February 17).
Held as part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week festivities, the No Doubt singer proudly watched on as models showed off her new designs before taking to the runway with son Kingston by her side to close out the stylish extravaganza.
Just before getting things underway, Miss Stefani took a moment to chat with USA Today while answering a few questions posed by their readers.
Asked whether the collection had any relation to her being in the studio for a new No Doubt record, Gwen replied, "You know I always feel like clothes are a direct affect of music. Whether it be from me being like a little bit of an English girl, like a little bit of a Rasta girl, a little bit of an Orange County girl, it's like always those same things that come through in the clothes. Like you'll see (in the fashion show) it's very clear because we divided (the clothes) into six groups. I feel like I would never be a little English girl if I didn't listen to the Cure or if I didn't listen to Depeche Mode. So it's like music definitely does flow through, and I think that that's how you get your style a lot of it. It's just defining yourself through the people that you love growing up."
Seemingly more interested in her musical endeavors than the new duds on display, the 41-year-old was also asked for a timetable on a new No Doubt album and possible tour.
Clearly focused on her fashion career at the moment, Miss Stefani answered, "That I have no idea. We are making a record. We have 10 songs in it. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The reason it's taking so long is because I'm a mom, and I'm doing all these things."

Her resume is far from lacking, and now Gwen Stefani has added yet another accomplishment to her credit- she?s the new face of L?Oreal Paris.
The ?Hella Good? songstress, who was spotted visiting a No Doubt band member in Los Feliz yesterday, says she?s extremely grateful for her new contract.
Gwen shared, ?I can?t believe I get to be one of the L?Oreal Paris girls. I love playing dress up, on stage or shooting videos, it?s always been one of my favorite parts of being in a band.?
?To get to work with such a modern, talented group of people is really exciting. I?m a lucky, lucky girl,? she added.

Okay, it?s crazy slow today, which is why I?m writing about these photos. Generally, I?m not one of those people who completely gushes over new photos of celebrities with their kids. Unless it involves Empress Zahara, that is. But there?s something about these photos of Gwen Stefani and Zuma that I just find enchanting. As far as paparazzi-targets go, Gwen and her kids don?t get pap?d on a daily basis like, say, Jennifer Garner and The Dimple Parade. But Gwen and the kids do get pap?d often enough that I wonder if someone is tipping off photographers. Some of these photos look like they are from a family photo shoot.
Also, I still think Gwen looks pregnant, but I guess I?m just going to have to go with ?Gwen just dresses pregnant in real life.? Oh, and Zuma is friggin? adorable. I love his little red car. You can tell it?s his favorite.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Gwen Stefani was spotted stopping by a medical clinic in Beverly Hills yesterday (December 7).
The ?Don?t Speak? songstress looked stylish as she made her exit, accompanied by an unidentified male friend.
Gwen and her band No Doubt recently returned from Washington DC where they paid tribute to Paul McCartney at the Kennedy Center Honors.
She tweeted, ?We r home from an amazing weekend!! Who r we??!!! thanks for making our lives so amazing!?

Making time for family, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale were spotted taking their kids Kingston and Zuma to Gwen?s parents? house in Los Angeles yesterday (November 25).
The Stefani/Rossdale crew all looked to be in good spirits as they prepared to ingest massive amounts of turkey as part of the Thanksgiving celebration.
For the occasion, Kingston sported a brand new dyed and partially-shaved hairdo, showing his budding sense of style.
Earlier this month, Gwen and Gavin were spotted on the red carpet at The Artist?s Museum Happening at MOCA Grand Avenue in LA.

Stepping out together for the first time in a long while, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale were looking joyful while trekking around Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday (November 3).
Joined by an assistant, the ?No Doubt? singer and her musician husband - who carried their youngest son Zuma in his arms - made a stop at their elder son Kingston?s school.
The sighting comes not too long after Rossdale openly admitted to having a relationship with a man before his marriage to Stefani.
Although Gwen hit up Kate Hudson's Halloween party sans Gavin last weekend, the family looked quite happy to be together as they offered up smiles when passing by the on-hand photogs.
