He may be a young 47, but Jim Carrey is now a Grandpa to his daughter’s new baby boy.
Jane Carrey and husband Alex Santana welcome their first child, son Jackson Riley Santan, at 12:28 am on Friday in Los Angeles, CA.
Tweeting about the new arrival, the proud new granddad posted a baby pic and wrote, “Jackson Riley Santana, My Grandson, Born today! This is what 7lbs.11oz. of Calfornia dynomite looks like!”
Back in July, the “Dumb and Dumber” actor said of his daughter, “Jane is going to be a great mom.”

Gearing up for some promotional duties, Jim Carrey was spotted leaving his London, England hotel earlier today (November 2).
Joined by girlfriend Jenny McCarthy, the “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” actor looked to be in good spirits, sporting a massive beard as he passed the paparazzi.
Jim is in town to promote his new film “A Christmas Carol” which premieres in London’s West End tomorrow night.

Jim Carrey and his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy were out a charity benefit late last week. Carrey has gained some weight and sports a new scruffy beard tinged with gray. He looks so different that if he passed right by me on the street I wouldn’t recognize him at all. Carrey is beefing up to play Curley in the new “Three Stooges” comedy directed by the Farrelly brothers. The movie also stars Benicio Del Toro as Moe and Paul Giamatti as Larry. It’s out next year and it looks like a lot of fun, although I wonder if super serious Del Toro can do comedy. Kaiser reminded me that “the closest he’s ever come to comedy is that sucky one he did with Ryan Phillippe.” That would be the poorly-reviewed 2000 film The Way of The Gun. He might surprise us as a perfect deadpan counterbalance to Carrey’s over-the-top antics.
Jim Carrey appears to be taking his role in the “Three Stooges” seriously, visibly fattening up as planned for his role as Curly. He was out in LA Thursday night with a round face partially obscured by a new beard and glasses.
Back in April his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy told Ellen Degeneres that Carrey was beginning to pack on the pounds.
“He’s going to gain 50 pounds to play Curly. He’s just having so much fun with it,” Jenny told Ellen.
“I have no idea what it’s going to be like when he hits near 300 pounds. But, you know, he’s in his comedy. He works hard at it.”

Are scruffy gray beards the latest look for Hollywood men? I did a search on “beard” on one of the photo agencies we subscribe to, and Katie Holmes didn’t come up, but the other results show how the beard trend has caught on. Photos from the last two months show that Russell Crowe, Jeff Bridges, Dustin Hoffman and of course, Brad Pitt, are also sporting silver facial hair. My dad and his retired buddies are finally in style.

They’re always up for a swanky evening out, and last night (October 1) Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy were spotted at the 2009 UCLA Department of Neurosurgery’s Visionary Ball.
The “Ace Ventura” funnyman and his “Singled Out” gal looked so happy together as they arrived at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel for the shindig.
At this year’s ball, entertainment manager Joan Hyler was presented with the Courage Award, stemming from her recovery after being hit by a speeding car while crossing the Pacific Coast Highway last year.
Bruce Vilanch, who spent long hours with Hyler as she recovered, told the audience, “We thought it was over when they brought her in. They wanted to amputate her legs, she wasn’t breathing on her own, wasn’t responsive. As the night wore on, the waiting room filled with enough clients and friends that it looked like a SAG strike meeting. The staff realized then that she was an unusual patient, especially later, when she came back after four months in a coma to defy everyone’s expectations. She had to learn to speak again, and is now relearning to walk. It’s still an uphill climb, but at least she can climb.”

First Sean Penn walked away from the Farrely Brothers version of The Three Stooges and now comes word from The Boston Globe that so has Jim Carrey. That leaves only Benicio Del Torro as the only original Stooge and joining him is Paul Giamatti who replaces Penn. Maybe with the loss of the two bigger names, someone will put an end to this movie that sounds like it will be beyond crap and leave all the Stooges rolling over in the graves.

Jim Carrey’s 21 year old daughter, Jane is pregnant with her first child according to E! Online. Jim’s publicist released this statement from him, “I am very excited,” the future grandfather said. “Jane is going to be a great mom.” You know he is going to spoil that kid rotten. I bet he will be doing even more kid based movies for his little grandbaby!!!

Ewan Mcgregor and Jim Carrey made a movie together called I Love You Phillip Morris. It?s a true story about two prisoners who fall in love. It?s called a comedy, but there are supposed to be some very ?Brokeback Mountain only in prison? parts to it.
Jim and Ewan were promoting the film in Sundance earlier this year, but the film still lacks a distributor. Some are pointing out the ?graphic? gay sex scene ten minutes into the film. Apparently it’s a real problem, and the film may go straight to DVD.
Jim Carrey black comedy I Love You Phillip Morris may not get a US cinema release because it contains an explicit gay sex scene.
Despite securing distribution deals in the UK and Europe, US firms are uneasy with a love scene between Carrey and Ewan Mcgregor’s character Phillip Morris, reports The Times.
“The depiction of the sexual activity was far more than I’ve ever seen in a mainstream film with a mainstream celebrity,” said Lewis Tice, director of publicity and marketing for TLA Releasing. “There’s a graphic sex scene in the first 10 minutes that I was surprised to see.”
Filmmakers are re-cutting the movie for US distribution companies in an attempt to secure a theatrical release. If no agreement is reached, the movie will go straight to DVD.
“Mostly straight, multiplex-going audiences don’t want to see a romantic comedy in which two dudes get it on; unless it is meant as a joke,” commented Scott Stiffler, author of Why Hollywood Avoids Gay Movies.
I Love You Phillip Morris focuses on real-life con artist Steven Marshall (Carrey), who falls in love with his cellmate (McGregor).

As far as the comments made by ?Scott Stiffler? (do you think that?s his real name?), I would love to see a movie where Ewan and Jim get it on. Jim Carrey is just incidental for me, just point me in the direction of Ewan dropping his clothes, and I?m there.
I don?t know if this film lacking a distribution deal is somehow part of a larger problem with how ?gay issues? are treated in film, television and the media as a whole. Was Brokeback Mountain really the larger gay rights/gays-in-media success that it was billed as? Was Milk more about Sean Penn being a great actor rather than some bigger gay rights agenda? Or is I Love You Phillip Morris just a bad movie, and that?s why it probably won?t be released? I have no idea.

Ewan Mcgregor is making a rare film festival appearance. He?s in Sundance, to promote his film I Love You Phillip Morris, also starring Jim Carrey. It?s based on a true story of a convict (Carrey) who, while in prison, falls in love with a fellow inmate (played by McGregor), and they try to escape. In addition to his film promotion duties, McGregor also picked up the Ray-ban award, presented to him by Alan Cummings. I have no idea what the Ray-ban Award is, and I really don?t care. Did I mention that Ewan Mcgregor looks incredible?
Jim Carrey and Ewan Mcgregor were an item at the Sundance Film Festival, where their gay romance “I Love You Phillip Morris” premiered.
Carrey and McGregor steam up the screen with some hot and heavy necking.
What was it like for Carrey to lock lips with McGregor?
“A dream come true. I mean, look at the guy,” Carrey said, gesturing at McGregor during a question-and-answer session with the audience after the film’s Sundance premiere Sunday night.
Directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, “I Love You Phillip Morris” is based on the true story of a con man (Carrey) who meets the love of his life (McGregor) in prison, then concocts elaborate escapes and masquerades to free himself and his man.
Carrey and McGregor make a nice couple, their characters’ love story playing out with sweetness, passion and devotion.
The actors said playing gay was all in a day’s work.
“It’s the same as playing any other kind of man, any other kind of character,” said McGregor, saying there was nothing awkward in their kissing and cuddling scenes.

Jim Carrey and I are on the same page. It would be a dream come true to make out with McGregor. I mean, look at the guy! McGregor has been in Sundance for the past few days, and from what I?ve seen, he seems to be very gracious with all of the press and photographers. And I?ve yet to see him at the same place as Paris Hilton, so that?s something.

Few people know how to make a good time even better like Jim Carrey. I have no evidence for this belief beyond his generally wacky behavior, but he seems like the sort that is good at lightening the mood, even when it?s already pretty light. Jim and girlfriend Jenny McCarthy are currently in Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival. In fact most of Hollywood has cleared out entirely, if I?m to believe the majority of the Sundance-related reports I?m reading.
Jim turned 47 on Saturday, and is still looking damn fine. In that goofy/hot way. And to celebrate, he went for some good old fashioned bumping and grinding onstage with G-Unit member Lloyd Banks.
Rapper 50 cent ensured Jim Carrey’s 47th birthday was an event to remember by inviting him to join his G-Unit entourage onstage during a live performance. The Yes Man actor celebrated his big day by catching the rapper’s performance at Sundance Film Festival’s Vitaminwater house in Park City, Utah, on Saturday.
The birthday boy, along with his actress girlfriend Jenny McCarthy, headed directly for the balcony where the star was performing with his hip-hop group G-Unit, reports the New York Daily News. A source tells the newspaper, “Jim and Jenny were dancing and really getting into the music, so 50 decided to bring him out to the balcony for a special rendition of In Da Club (which repeats the line “It’s your birthday”).
“When Fiddy told the crowd, ‘I have a very special guest for you’, everyone was floored because he had just done a duet with Robin Thicke. They thought the surprises were over. Then 50 started singing and Jim appeared, and the crowd just lost it.”
Carrey didn’t show off his rapping skills - but he did win laughs after lip-syncing along with 50 cent and showing off his hip-hop dance moves. The witness adds: “Jim was bumping and grinding with (G-Unit member) Lloyd Banks. It was pandemonium in the best way.”

Now this is how you do a birthday properly. There?s no need for the stereotypical cake and ice cream when you can shake it on stage with another dude. And who in the world would want to dance with Jenny McCarthy anyway? Blech. It sounds like Jim had a good birthday that was certainly in keeping with his love of fun.
He is in town promoting his film, ?I Love You Phillip Morris.? When asked by an audience member what it was like to kiss Ewan Mcgregor, he responded, ??A dream come true!? … ?I mean, look at the guy!?? There were no reports of Jim kissing anyone in G-Unit, but Sundance isn?t over yet.
