Jim Carrey debuted his new mohawk on Twitter a few days ago but he said his haircut was more indicative of a paintbrush. At least that’s what I gather from his caption that read “I am a paintbrush.”
In any case, he’s really captured the tortured artist look with the new hair and emo glasses. That’s what he was going for, right? Or was he actually trying to look like a paintbrush. Because that would work too.

He has been known to sport some seriously outrageous haircuts in the past, and now Jim Carrey's latest mohawk hair trend has people talking once again.
The 50-year-old funnyman's new daring 'do made a buzz while he was out for dinner alone in Brentwood, California yesterday (April 10).
Jim took to his Twitter last week (April 7) to post a picture of his rockish locks with the caption "I Am a paintbrush," but the "Yes Man" actor hasn't officially announced whether the change was for a role or just for fun yet.
Carrey isn't the first to step out with a mohawked mane: Mark Salling worked the look on "Glee," Brody Jenner tried it out last year, and even Britney's ex Kevin Federline shaved the sides of his hair for a "One Tree Hill" appearance.

Jim Carrey has a new girlfriend! And she?s young. Very young for a 49-year-old man. Apparently, his new girlfriend is a 24-year-old model named Anchal Joseph. Fans of America?s Next Top Model may remember her from the seventh season (I don?t watch, so I have no idea who she is). The idea of Jim Carrey with some young model screams ?rebound? to me, especially considering he seemed to be having a difficult time after he and Jenny McCarthy split last April. Jenny has already moved on, and I think she?s already on her second ?serious? boyfriend. You can see the photos of Jim and Anchal here, at Dlisted.
Jim Carrey has a long history of dating beautiful women, and his new girlfriend, Anchal Joseph, is no exception.
Joseph, a model and former ‘America’s Next Top Model’ contestant, held hands with Carrey, 49, while exiting Broadway’s Cort Theater, where they caught the play ‘Time Stands Still,’ starring Christina Ricci and Laura Linney.
At age 24, Joseph is just one year older than Carrey’s daughter, Jane, who gave birth to son Jackson last year.
Carrey, who split from Jenny McCarthy last year after nearly five years together, is currently filming ‘Mr. Popper’s Penguins,’ based on Richard and Florence Atwater’s book of the same title.

I?m a little surprised not by her youth, but with her looks. I didn?t think Jim would go for a darker woman? she?s Indian! If Jim wanted to lavish money on an Indian girl, why not me? Oh, right. Because I?m not a 24 year old model. But seriously, most men have a type, but I guess Jim isn?t one of them. He can move with ease from brunettes, redheads, blondes and Asians. He?s been single since breaking off his 5-year relationship with Jenny McCarthy last April, but now Jim Carrey has found love once again.
The ?Bruce Almighty? stud was spotted holding hands with former ?America?s Next Top Model? babe Anchal Joseph on his way out of a New York City theater recently.
Carrey (49) and Joseph (24) looked to be enjoying each other?s company at Laura Linney?s new play ?Time Stands Still? and didn?t seem to mind the paparazzi attention.
Last year, Jim announced his split with McCarthy via Twitter. ?Jenny and I have just ended our five-year relationship. I'm grateful for the many blessings we've shared and I wish her the very best! S'okay!?

Kicking off 2011 with a memorable hosting effort, Jim Carrey was the celebrity guest on the latest episode of "Saturday Night Live" airing on January 8th.
The always-hilarious actor offered up quite the laugh-inducing evening with a spoof of the ballet-based movie "Black Swan" being a highlight to remember.
During the sketch, Carrey took on the role of a ballet dancer named Lily while joined by Nasim Pedrad's character of a fellow ballerina named Nina.
To kick things off, the "Ace Ventura" actor strutted into a dance studio clad in a black tutu while saying, "Sorry I'm late. I had to go numbers 3 and 4."
Shortly thereafter, Jim ditched his jacket before proclaiming to the fellow dancers, "Get ready to rock, b*tches," while then proceeding to offer up a laughable, flailing dance routine.
The episode also included "Worst of Soul Train" DVD collection and "A Taste of New York" sketches with the Black Keys taking the stage as musical guests.

Back in 2008, Jim Carrey and Ewan Mcgregor made a film called I Love You Phillip Morris, all about two men who fall in love in prison. It?s supposed to be a comedy-drama, and it never sounded like the some kind of super-Oscar bait, nor like a crowd-pleasing mindless popcorn film. But it?s didn?t really sound bad, either. So it?s slightly surprising to me that it?s taken until now to get a release date - it was in distribution purgatory after concerns were raised over the raunchiness of some of the (gay) sex scenes between Ewan and Jim. Also surprising - Jim and Ewan are both standing by this project, and they both really seem to like each other. Strange bedfellows?
Anyway, the film comes out this Friday, in limited release. Jim Carrey sat down with Parade Magazine to promote the release, at long last- although it sounds a lot like past interviews. Jim has said the line about kissing Ewan before:
Jim Carrey takes it to the limit and beyond in the very R-rated I Love You Phillip Morris, loosely based on the life of convicted Texas con man and four-time prison escapee Steven Russell. He ends up having a mad affair behind bars with another prisoner played by Ewan Mcgregor.
Carrey tells Parade’s Jeanne Wolf what attracted him to the most off-beat role of his career and his long-term goal of helping to make the world a better place.
It’s all about love.
“There are very few scripts that I would come across that I would pay to do and this was one of them. I didn’t mind taking a big salary cut. I’m here to do extreme and interesting things. I liked the guy I played and I hated him. But the one thing that always stayed with me was the idea that he was relentless about love, and all of us understand that. I’m a desperate man myself.”
As for locking lips with Ewan Mcgregor, who plays his lover.
“A dream come true. I mean, look at the guy. I have to say, he is a great kisser. As Ewan said, ‘When you’re kissing another guy it can get a little prickly.’ Actually, you had to put out of your mind your own sexual preference and just try to understand that you were loving another person who just happens to be a guy. It wasn’t about male or female, love is love.”
What he had in common with his character.
“He had blind faith in himself. I have that. I have that belief that I can do probably more than I’m qualified to do. The guy I play definitely has no limits. The things he was able to finagle his way into are just shocking and amazing. You can’t help admire that quality in people. That’s why we love con artist movies.”
What’s driving him?
“There’s always some sort of deep undercurrent running under things for me. I’ve had peaks of kind of enlightenment where I felt like, ‘Oh, wow. I’ve got to figure it out. This is it. OK. I have peace. I have bliss.’ And, then, boom, off the wave into the surf, and you’re struggling again. I definitely have those scared to death moments, but they’re what make you interesting.”,
And who needs an agent when you have the man upstairs.
“What’s important to me is the long haul. It’s a strange thing, but sometimes I think that God is somehow fashioning my life so that I do stay interested and stay hungry.”

Beyond the stuff about the film, how does Jim sound to you? I still worry about him. I worry that he?s not taking his meds, and that his ?peaks of enlightenment? are some kind of manic-depressive high. That being said, Jim sounds like he?s in a pretty good place right now, so God bless. I hope someone goes to see this film. Apparently, Ewan goes down on Jim on camera.

Kicking off his work week, Jim Carrey was spotted on the set of his new movie ?Mr. Popper?s Penguins? in New York City today (November 8).
The ?Liar, Liar? actor looked dapper in a dark suit with slicked-back hair as he filmed scenes in Times Square.
As for his recent split with Jenny McCarthy, Jim shared that relationships overall are difficult and complex.
?I've been obsessed and craved in love, but always it comes down to the same thing. They are there to help you love yourself. When they go missing you go, 'Oh, I see. I'm not done here. I still got a lot of work to do.? It's hard all over. Relationships are tough. People are focused on saving themselves. Everybody is really motivated.?

Enjoying some post-show conversation, Shakira and Jim Carrey were spotted backstage at Madison Square Garden last night (September 21).
The ?Hips Don?t Lie? songstress looked to be in good spirits as she chatted and laughed with the ?Bruce Almighty? funny man.
Earlier in the evening, Shakira gave an incredible concert at MSG in New York City, and she had a very special fan in the audience- Columbian President Juan Manuel Santos.
While talking about her upcoming new album, Shakira declared, "For a few months I've been different. I feel like the sun has been shining on me, brighter than ever!"

Here are some really sweet photos of Jim Carrey with his 22-year-old daughter Jane and his 4-month-old grandson, Jackson Riley Santana. I don?t see Jane?s fianc (and baby-daddy) Alex Santana in these photos, but he could have been at the event. It looks like Jim had Jane and the baby, plus an assortment of friends, over for some fourth of July fun at his Malibu home.
Jim looks like he?s loving every second of being a grand-dad. I can?t believe he?s already got a grandson! How old is he now? He?s 48 years old - and he looks easily ten years younger, that?s why I was confused. I also liked how cool and accepting he was of his 22-year-old daughter?s pregnancy. He came out and gave a statement when it was announced - ?Jane is going to be a great mom.? Jane is the daughter of Jim and his first wife, Melissa Womer.
I?m also happy that Jim looks so chilled out and? sane in these photos. I was worried about his mental health after he and Jenny McCarthy broke up, and he did seem to be going off the rails a bit. Maybe he?s back on medication. Maybe he?s out of the ?manic? part of his manic depression. I don?t know. But I?m glad he seems to be doing better.

I suppose this is the way you announce this sort of thing in 2010. This afternoon, comic actor Jim Carrey Tweeted his split with Jenny McCarthy, saying ?Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I?m grateful 4 the many blessings we?ve shared and I wish her the very best! S?okay! ?;^>.?
McCarthy confirmed the breakup a few minutes later, adding, ?Im so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.? This comes as something of a shock, since the pair seemed totally happy together when Jim?s daughter Jane gave him a grandchild in February.
