I hate to ask this about Matt Damon, but in the midst of all the news about his BFF Ben Affleck being a dirty cheating dog, do you think he’s stepping out with his wife to bolster his family man image? He seems above it and yet he brings it up often in interviews, that he’s boring and that he tries to stay out of the tabloids. So that’s why it seems suspicious to me that Matt and his wife Luciana went out in West Hollywood to a restaurant that seems like a paparazzi target. It’s called Toca Madera and other celebrities photographed there in the last two months include Kelly Monaco, Jessica Lowndes, Gigi Hadid and Christina Milian, you get what I’m saying?
In the photos taken from other angles you can see that Matt and Lucy are being followed by Game of Thrones hottie Pedro Pascal. (see the photos on the Daily Mail’s site). So while it’s still iffy to me that Matt is stepping out to so willingly be photographed, which is rare, he may have just picked a nicer, known restaurant to go out with his co-star Pedro. Pedro was recently filming The Great Wall with Matt, a sci-fi film set in China. (Sidenote it looks like Matt has removed the weave ponytail he was sporting for that movie. I like him better with less hair, but judging from the comments on his longer hair, many of you will disagree.)
Also in these photos you can see a crazed woman in short shorts trying to get a selfie with Matt. Matt is visibly cringing in that pic. Why do people do this? Unless the celebrity/politician/whomever willingly takes a selfie with you, it’s not going to come out. I get trying to snap a picture, I understand that urge, but a selfie? At least the woman had the sense to cover up her boyfriend’s face on her phone case. He’s probably mortified anyway.
Matt has The Martian coming out in October, which will be his only film out this year. You can see the trailer here. He’ll soon be working on the new Bourne movie, out in 2016. Maybe that’s why he looks so buff here. Jeremy Renner recently said that he’d do a Bourne crossover movie with Damon “in two seconds,” although it’s unknown if the studio is planning anything of the sort. I liked Renner in the Bourne movies but it didn’t feel like the same franchise to me without Damon.
Oh and there’s casting news for a new Scyfy pilot, executive produced by Affleck and Damon under their Pearl Street Productions company. It’s called Incorporated and Julia Ormond has signed on. Variety has more details, but the important thing to know is that Damon is still with his wife. Nothing to see here.

These are photos of Matt Damon at a press conference in China for his film The Great Wall, which is filming now. He was there with co-stars Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) Andy Lau, and Jing Tian, along with director Zhang Yimou. The film isn’t out until November, 2016 so it’s curious to me that they’re promoting it now. The Daily Mail notes that this is “one of the highest-budget films ever in China as well as the biggest America-China co-production to date.” Given the emphasis on global box office as well as the need to appeal to Chinese audiences and Chinese censors in particular, this film makes sense. It’s a calculated gamble on a huge market that only a few American-made films are able to tap into.
In Great Wall, Damon plays a “mercenary in search of treasure” in 15th century China during the construction of The Wall. It’s being billed as a “scifi action” film, which could be interesting. They’ve been filming on “28 different sets, including on a fake Great Wall which was specially erected and is used as a weapon against otherworldly creatures in the movie.” Incidentally, while Damon is filming in China his recently separated neighbor and best friend, Ben Affleck, has been staying in his mansion, according to Page Six.
The real news, in my superficial view, is that Matt Damon is sporting a ponytail now. I’m assuming this is a weave or wig for the role, although it’s a good one, since he had short hair just a couple of months ago. Some people like it and think it’s hot. It’s very Chris Hemsworth, (who is friends with Damon btw) and although I personally hate it, some of you (like Kaiser) will find it sexy. I like my guys clean cut, and I’m particularly fond of a bald Damon circa Elysium.
Guys with long hair aren’t my bag. So Damon isn’t doing it for me here unfortunately. I still would though, no question. Lainey has more photos of Matt with long hair if you need more time to make a decision.

One of the good things about the Sony Hack was that we got some intimate information about pay disparities between actors and actresses. I would imagine some of the information was even news to many major actresses, like how Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams got paid much, much less than their male counterparts in American Hustle. Some actresses used the information to their advantage: when Charlize Theron learned that Chris Hemsworth was getting a better paycheck for The Huntsman, she demanded and GOT an equal paycheck.
Even if you?re a director or producer not directly affected by the Sony Hack and the details of the crazy double-standard pay scales, you should probably still keep your nose clean and not make any kind of egregious pay disparities between your male lead and your female leads. That?s not what happened though. According to Star Magazine, Matt Damon got $18 million MORE than Jessica Chastain in The Martian, a film where their roles are pretty much equal.
This doesn?t look to be a fair game. Their talent and award-winning trophies may have the same weight?but Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain?s paychecks sure don?t in their upcoming movie The Martian.
?Matt?s getting $25 million for this role, with Jessica earning around $7 million, even though Jessica is really in demand and worked just as hard on the film,? a source exclusively tells Star.
But Jessica isn?t ignoring the reputation that divas on set can so easily get?and she really doesn?t want to become one so she?s keeping her feelings to herself. The last thing she wants to be labeled is difficult to work with because that?s when roles start to dry up for stars in Hollywood.
?She does think it?s unfair, but figures it?s simply a case of Matt?s team negotiating better than hers,? explains the insider. ?And while Matt is embarrassed by the disparity, he?s not about to turn down the extra cash.?

While I think Matty D could easily command a $20 million-plus paycheck for another turn as Jason Bourne ? by far his most successful franchise/role ? it surprises me that he was able to get $25 million for a film that probably already has a crazy, bloated budget because of all of the special effects. Jessica?s paycheck seems about what I would expect ? I imagine she?s commanded somewhere between $5 million and $10 million for a few years. While I think Matty D is the bigger star ? and he will certainly have top billing and likely a heavier promotional schedule ? it?s insane that the two leads of the same film have such wildly disparate paychecks.
(Shh? don?t tell CB, because she loves him, but I judge Matty D for not standing up for the sisters. If he was aware of the pay disparity, which Star says he was, I would expect him to pull rank and stand up for what is right.)

Just when it seemed he?d hung up his international spy hat, Matt Damon is jumping back into the fray with a four appearance as Jason Bourne.
The ?Good Will Hunting? hunk told E! News that he will in fact return to the franchise in 2016, but his pal Ben Affleck initially beat him to the punch.
Affleck unknowingly leaked, ?Well, (Damon) is going to be doing a Bourne movie next fall when I?ve just completely lost any semblance of physical fitness. So??
Matt confirmed, ?It?ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. (Director) Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that?s all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.?

These are photos of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck at an event celebrating season four of their Project Greenlight HBO series for new directors. I love seeing them together so much. These two haven’t collaborated on Project Greenlight in 13 years. The series will air on HBO and you can see a video announcement here. (I haven’t been able to find the premiere date.)
Other than Project Greenlight, the big news is of course that Matt Damon will reprise his role as Jason Bourne. (We’ve heard this before, but now Damon is confirming in person.) Damon has said for years that he won’t do another Bourne movie unless he’s able to work with director Paul Greengrass again, who directed him in his last two Bourne films. The Bourne series is so successful that the studio put out a fourth one in 2012 with Jeremy Renner in the lead as another human weapon from the same shadowy government program. It’s unclear if Renner will ever be back because Greengrass and Universal Pictures have reached an agreement for a another Bourne film and Damon has signed on. In an joint interview with E!, Affleck brought up Damon returning as Bourne, and Damon confirmed that he’s set to play the iconic role again. He said that filming will begin next year.
E! News caught up with the actor and his close friend Ben Affleck Friday night as they celebrated season four of their resurrected passion project, Project Greenlight.
In between talking about their HBO series and their impressive muscles, Affleck (accidently?) revealed a big casting announcement.
“Well, [Damon's] going to be doing a Bourne movie next fall when I’ve just completely lost any semblance of physical fitness. So?.,” Affleck told E! News exclusively.
Did Affleck just say what we think he said? Oh yes, he did!
“Yes, next year,” Damon responded to E! News when asked for clarification. “It’ll be in 2016 when the movie will actually come out. [Director] Paul Greengrass is going to do another one and that’s all I ever said. I just needed him to say yes.”

Why is beefy Ben Affleck complaining about losing his physical fitness when he just got buff for Batman? Is he mad that he’s not at the helm of a billion dollar franchise like Damon or was he just joking around? I have to say that Damon does look better than Affleck, but I’ve always found him more attractive anyway. Plus he had the sense to play his personal life expertly and not get sucked into the tabloid drama.
I know it’s a while off but I’m so excited for another Bourne movie. Damon will be filming Ridley Scott’s The Martian in Budapest next month and I think his schedule is free for Bourne after that. Also, I just found out from his IMDB that he’s in Interstellar! I’m sure it’s just a brief cameo or they would have promoted it more, but it still makes me want to see it.

These are photos of Matt Damon arriving at the airport on Sunday, leaving the gym on Friday and pumping gas on Thursday. Matt Damon may be my go-to fantasy, but he’s an uncontroversial figure (this is by design, and he’ll tell you about it) and so people rarely comment on his posts. If you want more Matt Damon coverage, please honk. Otherwise we’ll cover him on days when something major happens with him or when it’s somewhat slow, like today.
With Damon, the news is always about his incredible career. He isn’t letting the cracks show in his marriage like his buddy Ben there, and he isn’t giving away anything other than the most innocuous details of his personal life. The bombshell, which came out last month, is that Damon is pairing with Bourne Supremacy and Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass to do another Bourne movie. Damon remained loyal to Greengrass, and it was thought that Greengrass’ issues with the studio (he went over time and budget on the last one) would preclude him, and Damon, from doing another Bourne movie. It’s happening, though, and I might assume that’s why Damon is hitting the gym hard. Production isn’t set to begin until early 2016, though.
Damon is about to begin filming Ridley Scott’s The Martian in Budapest next month. He plays the lead, an astronaut stranded on Mars. The film has an incredible cast that includes Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara and Sebastian Stan. It’s being done on a small budget and most of the actors are taking a pay cut.
In other Damon news, he and Ben Affleck are executive producing a “futuristic espionage thriller” for the Syfy network through their production company, Pearl Street Films. Deadline has more. Also, a half hour comedy they co-produced starring comedian Tom Papa has been picked up by CBS. It looks like Damon’s move to LA has kept the two of them busy. Considering that we keep getting pap pics of Damon doing his hot dad thing, I’m glad he moved.

Lainey at LaineyGossip was right! George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin did not give/sell their first wedding photos to Vogue. Sources told Lainey that George and Amal negotiated some kind of Brangelina-like deal with People Magazine and Hello to publish the official photos. And here we are! People and Hello released their covers early this morning – People chose the photo of George and Amal looking at each other and Hello chose the photo of them looking at the camera for their cover. Brangelina got something like $3-5 million for their wedding photos. I wonder how much George and Amal got? FOR CHARITY! I will donate $5 to their charity if they name it The Alamooney Foundation. After George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin exchanged traditional vows, platinum bands and, yes, a lengthy kiss at their 30-minute wedding ceremony on Sept. 27 in Venice, Italy, the newlyweds turned to their family and friends. And the place went wild. Cheers and applause filled the gilded hall at Italy’s historic Aman Canal Grande Venice as around 100 guests, many with tears in their eyes, celebrated the much-anticipated union of the Oscar winner and his barrister bride. The intimate wedding ? including 25 exclusive photos of the emotional ceremony, star-studded parties and all the sweet candid moments ? is featured in this week’s issue of PEOPLE, in conjunction with Hello! magazine internationally.
Marriage, Clooney, 53, tells PEOPLE, “feels pretty damn great.”

His tux wasn’t so bad either. Created by Giorgio Armani as part of his Made to Measure collection, the black tuxedo in ultra-fine wool/cashmere was paired with a white shirt, black bow tie and oxfords in smooth, brushed black leather. (To finish off his look, Clooney wore customized cufflinks, a gift from his bride, with “George” inscribed in Arabic.)
“It is a privilege and a pleasure for me to dress him for this occasion, in which he stars in the most important role: that of the groom,” Armani tells PEOPLE.
“[Giorgio is] the class act of all class acts,” the actor says. “He’s been a good friend for many years and the night wouldn’t be complete without him.”
Of course nothing could upstage the bride, stunning in a custom Oscar de la Renta French lace wedding gown, hand-embroidered with pearls and diamant accents, featuring an off-the-shoulder neckline and a full circular train.
“He’s such an elegant designer and such an elegant man,” Alamuddin, 36, tells PEOPLE.
With three days of parties followed by a civil ceremony, the festivities took center stage in Venice, which the actor calls “the most romantic city in the world” and a natural choice for their wedding locale. “We met in Italy,” says Clooney, who has long owned an estate on Lake Como. “We have a home there. We knew that was where we wanted to get married.”
While the guest list included famous pals like Matt Damon and Bono, the couple kept the celebration intimate and sentimental. They tapped Nora Sagal, the daughter of friends, to sing the Irving Berlin standard Always at the ceremony ? which happened to be the song Clooney’s parents, Nick and Nina, danced to at their wedding ? and Cole Porter’s “Why Shouldn’t I?” for their first dance at the reception.
As Nick Clooney said in his speech during the ceremony, “George and Amal present us with … belief that in this place and at this moment, love is alive and well.”
The bride’s close friend Jae Kim couldn’t agree more. “I had never seen her smile like that,” Kim said sweetly during the ceremony of witnessing her Alamuddin find the love of her life. “She has had that smile now for almost a year straight!”
Besides the afterglow of an unforgettable weekend, did the guests take anything home? “Other than a hangover? Yes,” cracks Clooney, whose favors included iPods loaded with a playlist chosen by the couple. And what’s next for the newlyweds after a brief honeymoon? Quite simply, Clooney tells PEOPLE, “We’re looking forward to everything.”

Yes, it’s all pretty over-the-top. Thoughts on Amal’s dress? I don’t hate it. It’s a classic, lovely, traditional wedding gown and it looks very pretty on her. I’m glad she wore her amazing hair gown.
Other random details, from other sources… Page Six says the wedding probably cost about $13 million, which is pretty interesting considering Amal’s parents supposedly paid. I didn?t know Amal came from that kind of wealth. I mean, I figured her family was probably upper-middle-class, more like an academic family rather than a wealthy family. Oh, and sources claim that George and Amal went from Venice to Marrakech for their honeymoon. That?s really cool! I?ve always wanted to go to Marrakech.

Be careful, everyone. CB has already threatened me with her slut-dagger but I convinced her that I had slut-armor (and full slut-shank insurance, THANKS OBAMA). So she?s armed and on the hunt for anyone trying to claim her Matt Damon. I?m including some photos of Matty D from the past few weeks ? he?s been getting pap?d with kids. It?s weird, because that usually never happens. Matty also spoke to In Touch Weekly about how he?s different than his big-name bro-friends like George Clooney and Brad Pitt:
Matt Damon?s closest friends are some of Hollywood?s most famous actors ? but in an exclusive interview with In Touch, the star reveals he?s much more down-to-earth than his A-list pals.

I kind of agree with him. While I love Matty D (*dodges flying slut-dagger*), he IS more of an ?everyman.? Bloke-ish, if you will. Guys like Matty and Chris Evans are the kind of guy that you would meet in college, or that would fix your roof in Boston. Granted, they would be ?that hot guy who fixed your roof.? Or ?that sexy neurotic guy you banged for a week in college.? While Brad Pitt might have had that ?just a normal guy from Missouri? thing happening at one point, he?s not that guy anymore. People always say that about Brad too ? the room changes when he?s there. Everybody notices him, everybody stares. George is just? George. Women will always be panting for George, no matter what. Matty could walk into a room and you’re like, “Oh, hey. ‘Sup?”

Keeping his bod in tip-top shape, Matt Damon left his West Hollywood gym on Tuesday (November 5).
The "Bourne Ultimatum" star sported an Angelo Dundee's gym tee and a baseball cap as he made his way back to his vehicle.
Meanwhile, Matt is currently in the midst of filming his new sci-fi thriller "Interstellar."
The film follows a group of explorers as they make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitation on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.
Starring with Damon in the Christopher Nolan-directed flick are Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain. "Interstellar" is slated to hit theaters November 2014.
