Do you remember when Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus were house hunting together? I think she dodged a bullet and sometimes I wonder how shes doing. She did get back with Ben after her broke up with her by being seen out with that young Playboy model, whom he took to Montana with him. Remember that? Ben and Lindsay split for good just about a year ago, after years of doing the on-off thing. So now Ben and Ana were seen looking at property in Venice together. I bet theyre looking for a bigger, nicer place where he can stay too. Hell likely keep his mansion down the street from his kids and Jennifer.
The Daily Mail reports thatAna and Ben were seen at the site of an unfinished property in [Venice] wearing their trusty face masks as they toured the home. We dont have the photos of them looking at that house but they were taken on Wednesday, the same day Anna was seen out in that tie dye sweatsuit. (That retails for $185!) The photos of them packing up Bens car are from Thursday.
Some of you mentioned in Wednesdays post that Ana wasnt just Facetiming Ben when she was photographed out shopping in Venice she was Facetiming Ben and a couple of his kids at the same time. Ben might have been the one to call her, but if thats the case how freaking thirsty of her to take that call and make sure the paparazzi got a shot of it. She could have told him she would call him back. Ana and Ben are all in, just like Ben and J.Lo. I was just thinking about this last night. Do you remember how J.Lo said almost nothing publicly about Ben for years after he broke up with her by cheating on her with strippers in Canada right before their wedding? It was so close to their wedding date that they lost deposits to caterers and event staff. Lopez was super classy about it and only threw some light shade on Ben years afterwards. Shookus was also quiet about Ben and has only done one interview where she didnt talk about him much. Ana isnt going to be like that. Shes going to spill the minute Ben does her wrong. Before that I bet these two do an interview talking about their life together though! Im looking forward to that.

Over the holiday weekend, TMZ posted new photos of Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas taking a walk with his kids on Saturday. At first only TMZ had them so I suspect they paid a premium. None of the other major outlets posted those over the weekend, but theyre available for the plebe subscribers now, which is how we got them. Incidentally, thats the same photo agency that had the exclusives of Ben and Ana on a beach in Costa Rica. I wonder how they also knew to be there when Ben and Ana stepped out for the first time with his kids.
Of course there are multiple stories about how Ben is introducing Ana to his kids. They spent the night at Bens house when Ana was there too. I wonder if this is all storyboarded out by a team of people, because we last heard that Ana admires Ben so much for somehow juggling a career and co-parenting. Now shes meeting his kids, how sweet. US, People and ET Online all had sourced quotes about this.

The last time we saw Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas, they were making out in a new video by Residente called ?Antes Que El Mundo Se Acabe.? The video featured couples making out in lockdown around the world, and also included cameos by Zoe Saldana, Ricky Martin, Bad Bunny and Lionel Messi with their respective partners. As someone who does not like seeing random people make out, I found it kind of gross. I think Ben?s team realized this was not a flattering look for him or Ana. Someone gave Page Six the context for the video. Page Six has run multiple insider stories from Ben?s perspective, so I?m sure this came from his team.

Remember how often he and Ana used to walk their dogs while staring into each other?s eyes and clinging to each other? Well they stepped out to get coffee yesterday and it looks like they didn?t give each other one longing look for the paps. Ana looked back at them once or twice though. Is this the start of a new phase for Afflarmas or are they going to pose for photographers again? I bet we?ll see them back to their normal in a day or two, rinse and repeat.

These are new photos of Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas walking their dogs on Saturday. There are some more from last Thursday at Just Jared (they?re exclusives so we don?t have access to them). In those photos Ana is wearing a red print shirt dress and staring at Ben like he?s the best thing ever, as she?s been doing in just about every other set of photos we?ve seen of them over the past few weeks.
Im pretty sure these photos are from outside Anas place as the setting looks different and the photo agency says they are in Santa Monica. They look annoyed at the paparazzi but I imagine the lockdown is grating on everyone. I do wonder if theyre having problems but I think theyre going to last for a while. On Sunday they went to CVS and got some iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts.
Page Six has a very long profile of Ben and Ana along with some quotes about how Ben and Anas relationship got fast tracked due to the lockdown.
?Ben was due on set [of ?The Last Duel,? written with and co-starring Matt Damon] and Ana was meant to be on a world tour [for the James Bond film ?No Time to Die?],? said a source close to the couple. ?To get to spend so much time together is a real blessing.?
De Armas, the breakout star of last year?s movie hit ?Knives Out,? moved in after the two took a romantic trip to Costa Rica and her native Cuba last month.

I mean, did they need to do this? The whole piece is very long and definitely publicist-underwritten. We also have some photos of Affleck smoking a cigarette while wearing a surgical mask. I find cigarette smoking gross in general, but there?s something worse about it when the person is wearing a mask. I imagine the smoke clinging to the fabric. We?re advised not to adjust our masks as that can contaminate them and are told to wash them right when we get home. I don?t want to shame Ben for this, especially if he?s sober and is working hard to maintain that. Im just surprised he doesnt vape instead. Those photos are from Thursday and Ben was seen loading a bag in his car. Even though Page Six says that Ben and Ana are living together, I think she has a separate place in the Venice Beach area.
Also I hope Ben has a good sober community at this time, if thats what he needs. There are virtual meetings and he can always pick up the phone.

To be clear this isnt the first time Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas have been photographed out with masks on. They were seen in masks last week, but we didnt have access to those pictures. You can see those on JustJared. We were talking about Ben and Ana on our Zoom chat last night. Most people do not get them at all and think Ana is too young for Ben, although a few see how Ben can be charming. At least one person on our call still thinks theyre not a real couple because theyre too demonstrative. I dont get that perspective at all. My friend Z said that it was gross that Ana and Ben have been constantly touching each others faces on these walks, especially because theyre picking up dog poop! I didnt even think about that and shes right about how gross it is.
These two cant keep their hands off each other though, look at this move where Ana is holding his hand, grabbing his arm with her other hand, and smiling at the camera. Also do you think shes the one who bought them the masks? I do, because theyre matchy. Anas seeksucker black check print dress is by Ganni and you can get it for $213 on ShopBop. (I got those details from Daily Mail, I wouldnt have been able to find this dress on my own, but I did find it cheaper than their link.)
They might be in Venice, CA because Ana moved there. She was looking at a house in Venice Beach last month, although I cant confirm that she moved. Ben isnt spending all his time holed up with Ana with occasional breaks to walk the dogs and demonstrate their love. He and Matt Damon held an online celebrity charity poker tournament that raised a whopping $1.75 million for Feeding America. Thats incredible and good for them. Matt Damon is currently isolating in a small Irish town, where he was stuck after filming wrapped on his Ridley Scott film The Last Duel. His wife, daughters and dogs are with him though.
Oh and did you hear that Ana De Armas blocked one of her fan accounts, Ana De Armas updates, on Twitter? I think this post is the one that prompted her to do that.

Can you believe that Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas went over a week without doing a pap walk? I made a whole timeline last week and the last time we saw them out together was April 1. They were definitely saturating the market with pics. Plus it seemed tone deaf for them to be doing loved-up pap walks during such a scary and serious time. It was a fun distraction though. The photos and their expressions were so ridiculous that a lot of people assumed this was a PR relationship. (Its definitely real, come on!)
The good news is that Afflarmas is back! On Thursday they went for a walk in LA and wore masks. (We dont have those pics but theyre at Just Jared.) Ana was seen driving to Bens house on Saturday with her little white dog. On Sunday they took another walk with their dogs. Ana was wearing a white jumpsuit not unlike a Ghostbusters uniform. I was wondering what this reminded me of and then I saw this comment on the Ana De Armas updates Twitter account.

The photo above is from Saturday, of Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas walking her little dog in his neighborhood in Brentwood. They held hands, stared lovingly into each others eyes, posed curbside, and even kissed for the paparazzi. (The kissing photos from that day are exclusive, you can see them here, on People.) I get that new couples cant keep their hands off each other, but at the same time they definitely want us to see and talk about them and their new love. For those of you who continue to say this PR, Ben is not this good of an actor! Ana is clearly loved up too. On Saturday Ana was in a velour embroidered hoodie, which is very cute. The photos of her in black are from last Monday, and they also kissed during that walk.
I looked for new quotes about their love and the only ones I could find that we hadnt talked about yet were in ETOnline and E! These may come from the paparazzi and people looking at the photos because E! has a lot of descriptions of how happy they are. They also had some details about their routine:

Ben and Ana are quarantined at his house, where they have been together since returning from Costa Rica, a separate source recently shared. Every other day, Ben has been visiting his kids and Ana stays behind at the house.
Ben and Ana look like total lovebirds. They laugh together and share funny stories. She is very nurturing and he seems to love that, the source continued. They cant get enough of each other. After days of being quarantined and never leaving each others sides, they are still laughing, smiling, kissing and hugging. From E!

I hope theyre all doing ok, including Bens kids and ex, and she seems ok judging from Instagram. I havent been ordering food, but after I watched this video from a doctor explaining how to stay safe (I describe it more in this post from Quimby) I feel safer about it and may just get takeout.
There are also photos Im not including of a doctor visiting them at home last Tuesday. I would bet that one or both of them have mild symptoms, a lot of people I know do, but thats pure speculation.

Ben Affleck has been working in Paris on that historical drama he co-wrote with Matt Damon and Nicole Holofcener. (Go here to see photos of him in a blonde wig. Damon doesn?t look much better, he?s got a mullet.) It co-stars Jodie Comer and Adam Driver. Ben was on Jimmy Kimmel this week. He was in his element and seemed really comfortable, he?s close with Kimmel and it shows. To start Ben told a story about how he was in competition with Matt for acting roles in their high school drama club. It was pretty funny.
They also talked about Tom Brady, with Ben saying that Tom called him ?The King of Boston? when they first met in their 20s. (Ben gave Tom the compliment first and Tom just turned it around.) It was super cute how Ben admitted fanboying Brady. He said ?I look up to him so much, it makes him uncomfortable.? That?s around 5 minutes in if you want to watch that part. Kimmel reminded Ben that he built a shrine to the Patriots in his son Samuel?s room. You can see that here, I covered that. Samuel doesn?t even like The Patriots!
Ben also told a story about how Adam Driver made him a hero to Samuel, who thinks Star Wars and Kylo Ren are real. Ben had to film in Paris right up until Samuel?s surprise eighth birthday party last month. He told Adam that his son was so excited to hear he knew Kylo Ren, so Adam recorded a birthday video for Samuel. Ben?s plane to LA was late and none of the presents arrived, but he had the video from Adam along with some presents from him which made Samuel?s day.
I had to show up to my son?s party with no gifts for him. I had this sinking feeling. Then [my employee] goes ?Adam heard you say it was your son?s birthday, so he called your assistant, got your address and sent some presents and signed a card and a picture of Kylo Ren. And I took those presents and watched him open all those other presents. I said ?Sam my presents didn?t get here on time. But I did get a present from somebody who really wanted to make sure you had a gift. Kylo Ren.?
He opened the presents. I played him the video of Kylo Ren. It was incredibly moving. Adam made me a hero to my kid and I will never ever forget it. It meant the f?ing world to him.

I love that story! That?s so sweet that Adam did that for him. After that Ben talked about his movie The Way Back, which he called ?an inspiring cathartic movie. You?re going to have painful, difficult things in life. What matters is how you get past it, how you overcome that.? He said the script was smart and didn?t pull punches and that he enjoyed working with the teens who were the basketball players.
This is Ben at his best. I can see the difference in him now that he?s been sober for a while and I like this version of him.
After that Kimmel showed Ben and Matt?s costumes on set. They?re ridiculous and it makes me wonder if it?s going to be a comedy. Here?s that interview!

Ben Affleck relapsed on Saturday, at a UNICEF party which he attended in a mask and suit. TMZ posted video of him visibly stumbling and trying to steady himself as he got into an SUV with a very young-looking blonde woman. They got in the back seat and had a driver. Well he did just announce he was going to date, so theres that. TMZ paparazzi talked to Ben outside Jennifer Garners home yesterday and he was quite blase about it, as was a recent People article explaining Bens relapse. Ben was smiling in the video, the pic above was taken at about the same time. He said it happens, its a slip, but Im not going to let it derail me. Affleck was sober for about 16 months prior to this, if there were no other slip ups. Heres the relevant part of that People article, which is an exclusive:

If that People source is from Afflecks camp thats damning. Hes not taking this seriously at all. Where is the quote about how hes committed to being sober and will go to more meetings or will work with addicts or something? This is all about the PR fallout, not about what hes doing to manage his sobriety. Ben just announced on Instagram, right before he drank at that party, that he was dating, essentially confirming Page Sixs report from last week. In that post he asked for donations for the Midnight Mission, which helps addicts get back on their feet. He wrote I have been in recovery for over a year and part of that is helping out others. The main part of recovery is admitting youre powerless over alcohol, not picking up that first drink and staying sober one day at a time. I would not take any amount of money, success or fame in exchange for my sobriety. That was one of the hardest things I earned and I dont want to ever go back there. I think about that whenever Im tempted. Ive seen people drink again after decades sober. I do believe that for alcoholics it does not become something you can suddenly manage. All that said, I hope hes serious and committed to staying sober this time. I hope hes not half-assing this and thinking he can drink again.
