Salma Hayek and Colin Farrell were seen kissing backstage at the Golden Globes, and Star Magazine reports that it looked like more than just a friendly kiss. The two were linked in 2004 when they were shooting scenes as lovers for the film Ask The Dust.
Salma Hayek… and Colin Farrell won most attention-grabbing couple honors at the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 11! “While they were both backstage, he held her face and kissed her several times,” a source tells Star. “It was very intimate, not like they were pals.”…
[They] hooked up while shooting Ask The Dust in 2004! “Colin was in love with her but was too screwed up on booze and drugs to make a good boyfriend to her,” reveals another source. “Now that he’s sober, their chances are so much better.”
[From Star Magazine, print edition, February 2, 2009]
Colin denied the rumors that he was with Salma while they were working on Ask The Dust, but he did admit to doing a sexy little naked dance for her on set to help her feel more comfortable before a love scene. He admitted he didn’t have to be naked, and said that since she had to strip down, he was doing it out of solidarity. Colin also gave Salma a rare first edition of the novel the film was based on as a gift after their scenes wrapped.
Colin had just nabbed an unexpected best actor Globe the night he and Salma were supposedly spotted kissing backstage. This news is in Star Magazine, and if it did happen he could have just been overwhelmed and sharing his joy with a (sexy) former co-star. You could tell how emotional he was in his cute flowery speech - he even told the director he loved him.
Salma is rumored to be back with her ex fiance and the father of her baby, billionaire Franois-Henri Pinault. That could have to do with the fact that they’ve maintained a friendly relationship for the sake of their daughter, Valentina Paloma, 16 months, but it sounds like more than that. Salma and Franois-Henri were spotted out at Tao restaurant in New York recently, with the latest issue of US reporting that they shared “three bottles of wine and sake” after which Salma was spotted dancing on her table. On an appearance on The Late Show two weeks ago, Salma was pretty vague about potential wedding plans when Letterman pressed her about it. He asked “Is there going to be a wedding?” and Salma responded “I don?t know, maybe, but then again, maybe not.”
Colin was last known to be dating British novelist Emma Forrest, but he keeps his personal life quiet and it’s hard to tell if they’re still together. I would love to see Colin settle down and have more kids, but it’s doubtful that he’ll be blending his family with Salma’s any time soon.

Colin Farrell is back on the A-list after his charming appearance and Best Actor-Comedy win at the Golden Globes. He?s been MIA through many of the past years in celebutainment, and it?s a welcome surprise that Farrell seems happier, healthier and all-around better at this place in time.
His win for In Bruges was surprising - even the nomination was a surprise, since the film came out in Feburary, and by Farrell?s own admission, kind of came and went with good reviews and a small box office. Farrell?s co-star, friend and co-nominee Brendan Gleeson was at the same table, and seemed genuinely thrilled with Farrell?s win. Even the epically morose Ralph Fiennes (co-star in In Bruges) broke into a smile when Farrell?s name was called, and Fiennes stood up to embrace Farrell.
First you shocked us, sniffling through your presenter’s script and then explaining, ?I still have a cold. It?s not the other thing it used to be.?
Then you made us shmoopy after your surprise win for your role in “In Bruges.” “I?ve never been so at peace with being ignored in my life. It?s seldom that you get a script that?s as simultaneously profound and beautifully comic and wonderfully painful, filled with delightful remorse, and, more than anything else, the sweetest, sweetest redemptive qualities. And that was ‘In Bruges’ for me. To work with [director Martin McDonagh] was a dream. And I love you.
You know, I?ll ride Sally?s coattails and start talking about love a bit because at the end of the day, I think what we all do in some way, shape, or form ? I hate to wax lyrical ? is about love. Curiosity is love. It?s ignorance?s nemesis. And so thank you, Martin. [Costar Brendan Gleeson], I love you dearly. And this is at least half of yours. I?ll cut it when I get off stage, and you can have a hemisphere.”
From The Los Angeles Times
I really liked that Colin admitted after he sniffled that ?It?s not the other thing it used to be.? It was a nice moment of shared realization of how crazy and addicted he was to drink and drugs, and how far he?s come. Colin looked good last night - a bit too thin, but I think the excuse is still that he lost a lot of weight for that Bosnian war film he did last year. As far as I could tell, Farrell didn?t bring his girlfriend Emma Forrest. His beautiful sister was his date, and she joined with his whole table in looking thrilled with her brother?s win.

| Colin Farrell's Irish Christmas | Added 15 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

This year has been good to Colin Farrell. He started off with a critically-acclaimed role in In Bruges, starring with heavy-hitters Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes. After Heath Ledger?s death, he was one of the four actors who stepped in to cover Ledger?s role in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, directed by Terry Gilliam. And even though his Woody Allen film Cassandra?s Dream was panned (and died a quick death at the box office), Farrell was one of several Irish actors to garner a Golden Globe nomination this year. In Bruges picked up three Golden Globe nominations overall.
Though “In Bruges” was released in February ? an eternity away from the fall premieres of most awards-seeking films ? the Colin Farrell film emerged as an unlikely contender at the Golden Globes.
“In Bruges” scored three nominations from the Globes, including best picture for a musical or comedy and dueling best actor in a musical or comedy nominations for Farrell and his co-star Brendan Gleeson ? a first for each.
Written and directed by playwright Martin McDonagh, the film received good but mixed reviews, and grossed less than $8 million at the U.S. box office. In it, Farrell and Gleeson play hit men laid up in the picturesque and quaint town of Bruges, Belgium.
“It had been brought to my attention by people that it was a possibility, a dark-horse possibility, for getting some recognition, but I really, really didn’t expect it,” Farrell said. “It had been released in the early part of the year, it didn’t do huge money, it wasn’t seen by that many people. But it’s a testament to (McDonough’s) writing in his film debut that it obviously struck a chord with them.”

After several years of being known as a public hell-raiser and all-around bad boy, Colin Farrell has kept a low-profile. He?s become (from all appearances) an extraordinarily good father to son James, who was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome. Farrell is also in a committed relationship with Emma Forrest, but they are rarely photographed together, despite some mutterings of ?bump watches? and the like. So with all of these changes, it?s no surprise that Colin would choose to spend a quiet Christmas at home in Ireland with his family, rather than some gaudy paparazzi-extravaganza at one of the hotspots.

He can’t go anywhere without creating a paparazzi stir, and earlier today Colin Farrell was spotted arriving at Heathrow Airport following an overseas flight from Los Angelest.
The “Phone Booth” stud made his way through the main terminal, looking a bit hobo-ish in a black suit coat with matching trousers and a layered green and white t-shirt combo, grey scarf, grey fedora, and black leather boots.
