Settling into the single life, Rachel Bilson was spotted grabbing lunch at a local cafe with a few of her camera-shy gal pals in Los Feliz, California on Thursday (August 12).
Wearing a cute open-shoulder top with a pair of bell-bottom jeans, the "Jumper" cutie filled up on grub before heading off to run a few errands less than a week after announcing her split from former fiance, Hayden Christensen.
Having plenty of time to focus on her career these days, Miss Bilson is gearing up for her appearance on the sixth-season premiere of "How I Met Your Mother".
Slated to air on NBC on September 20, 2010, series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas told press, ?The season premiere is going to be very much informed by her presence.?

Getting used to life after Hayden, Rachel Bilson was spotted looking adorable as she stepped out in Los Feliz, California on Tuesday afternoon (August 10).
In no mood to be photographed, the "Jumper" actress quickly ran into a local postal carrier to pick up her mail before rushing out to her car for a quick getaway from the paparazzi.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, it was confirmed on Monday evening that Rachel and now ex-beau Hayden Christensen have officially called off their engagement.
Of the situation, a rep told press, "Yes, the engagement is off, therefore, so is the wedding."
Meanwhile, Rachel also recently chatted about her distaste for media attention placed on weight issues.
She tells, ?You know what I hate? The amount of attention that is put on weight and body image. It is so backwards and sends out the wrong message. ?What do you eat? Do you work out?? It?s not what young girls should be stressing about. They look up to these actresses and read about plastic surgery and what they do and don?t eat."
The 28-year-old adds, "I eat, I love food, I wanna eat when I wanna eat. If you are not feeling good about yourself, then you work out. But you do it for you."

Always a good choice when it comes to cover shoots, Rachel Bilson is the centerpiece of InStyle UK magazine's September 2010 issue.
Posing for a handful of gorgeous shots, the "Jumper" cutie chatted about topics ranging from missing "The OC" to body and weight issues.
On the subject of "The OC," Miss Bilson tells, ?I do miss Summer terribly. The OC was the most phenomenal time. I saw Mischa at Cannes, but I honestly miss everyone from the show."
Continuing on about the bad press in which Miss Barton has been receiving, Rachel said, "I do fall out of cars, but not because I am drunk, but because I am clumsy. I think the girls who come to fame younger fall into all that [partying], but I did it before I became famous. I mean, I was 21 when The OC started, Mischa was 16. I can?t imagine dealing with that kind of success at that age. My life may have been very different if I had started out that young.?

The Bilson bunch headed over to a local Party City to pick up some supplies as the paparazzi looked on.
Rachel & Co. also paid a visit to a nearby Johnny Rockets restaurant for some delicious burgers, fries, and milkshakes.
In career news, it was just announced that Rachel will be returning to ?How I Met Your Mother? to reprise her role as Ted?s love interest Cindy.
